About: I’ve had dogs all my life! At my family home, we had a golden retriever and retriever/lab cross who I walked and looked after. I now have my own dog Winnie (a super friendly golden retriever) who I have raised and trained since she was a puppy and cat Rupert who we recently adopted. I regularly look after my parents’ dog and my siblings’ dogs too, both overnight and for walks during the day. I work from home so have plenty of time to play with, cuddle and walk your dog. I have my own dog, Winnie, who I walk twice a day so dog walking fits easily into my schedule. I’m free most weekends to look after your dog overnight. I live with my boyfriend who might join us on walks occasionally. I have a fenced garden and my very friendly Winnie to keep your dog company. I also have a lovely cat called Rupert, who will pop in to say hello but stays mostly to himself in the daytime. I don’t have dogs upstairs or on the furniture but they’re free to roam around the downstairs and garden as they please!

“Victoria was amazing and really helped us out. Very friendly and the cats loved her. We received updates and pictures every time she visited. It was good to see the cats enjoying themselves whilst we were away and knowing they were being well looked after. Thanks again Tors Danny ”
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 7 years, starting with my own dog, Bailey. I’ve regularly looked after him on my own whenever my family has been away, giving me hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playtime, and maintaining routines. I personally trained Bailey, which taught me patience, consistency, and how to positively encourage good behaviour. I’ve also cared for dogs belonging to family members, each with different personalities and needs. More recently, I’ve helped my nan’s dog adjust after losing their sight. This experience has taught me how to care for dogs that need extra support, reassurance, and a calm, understanding approach. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own. 🐾 I work four days a week from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, but I’m available all day on my three days off and in the evenings every day. I have a flexible schedule and will always do my best to accommodate your dog’s needs, whether that’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care Your dogs safety and happiness are my top priorities, I have a fenced garden and a dog safe home. My dog Bailey is friendly and will keep your dog company
“Jane kindly popped by the day before her drop in visit to meet Sandy and have a brief chat about her needs. We received cute photos on both her 30 mins drop ins and when we came back Sandy seemed very relaxed and happy. Thank you, Jane!”

“This was my first time using a pet sitter ever, and Luke was an absolute legend. He kept me informed, was attentive and I felt like I had left Cleo in safe hands, even before I had gone on holiday. Would highly recommend Luke to anyone.”
About: I've cared for my own pets for 5 years, so I understand the little things that make pets feel comfortable and safe — routines, favorite spots and reading their moods. I send detailed updates and photos throughout every visit, so you can relax knowing your furry friend is happy, safe, and loved. *I will often be pet sitting with my 10 year old animal-loving daughter. She is very responsible and sensible with animals and would help to feed, care for them as needed. I'm off work for the summer, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to dedicate to pet care. Rather than just relaxing, I wanted to spend this time doing something meaningful — helping others and giving their pets the attention and company they deserve while owners are away. That means I can be flexible with visit times and give each pet unpaid attention, not squeeze it in between other commitments. Since I care for pets in the your own home, I make sure every visit covers all your pet's needs — fresh food and water, litter box or waste cleanup, exercise or playtime and plenty of attention. I also take care of basic house chores while you're away, like bringing in post, and basic security such as locking doors and making sure everything's secure before I leave. If anything comes up or seems off, I'll always communicate with you directly and promptly, so you're never left in the dark.
About: RSPCA Mount Noddy volunteer walker Hearing dogs for deaf people assisting Dogs in the family always Help with raising puppies I’m reliable, patient, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, so whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or just having some company and affection, I’d be happy to help. I’ll always treat your dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Pet care fits well into my daily and weekly routine as I’m already active, organised, and enjoy spending time outdoors. I structure my days so I have flexibility for walks, drop-ins, or pet visits, especially in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. I enjoy being outside and staying active, so incorporating dog walking or pet care feels like a natural part of my lifestyle rather than a chore. I also have experience volunteering at Mount Noddy RSPCA, where I regularly helped walk and care for multiple dogs. This taught me how to manage time effectively and be reliable with scheduled commitments, even when handling different dogs with varying needs. Overall, I make sure I only commit to pet care when I can give each dog proper attention, care, and consistency. I’m organised, dependable, and always prioritise the wellbeing of the animals I look after. I always care for pets with the same attention and responsibility as if they were my own. When looking after a dog in the owner’s home or taking them out for walks, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific instructions provided. I make sure the dog feels comfortable and secure, especially in a familiar environment, and I take time to build trust and understand their personality. I have experience handling a variety of dogs through volunteering at Mount Noddy RSPCA, where I regularly walked multiple dogs with different temperaments and energy levels. This has taught me how to stay calm, alert, and in control in different situations, whether a dog is energetic, nervous, or reactive. Safety is always my top priority. I ensure leads, harnesses, and gates are secure, and I’m careful during walks to avoid unsafe situations. I also pay attention to the dog’s behaviour and wellbeing throughout, making sure they are happy, hydrated, and not overexerted. Because I’ve grown up around dogs and have supported puppy care through family volunteering with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, I’m also confident helping with basic training reinforcement, socialisation, and gentle handling of puppies. Overall, I aim to provide a calm, reliable, and caring presence so both pets and owners feel completely at ease.
“Georgina was very easy to communicate with, followed all our requests, and looked after our cats very well. We received lots of photos of the cats playing while we were away, which was very reassuring! Very happy overall.”

“Woodie had another great time with Sian! I’m always relaxed when I know Sian is checking in on Woodie. She is always on time, great at keeping me updated on his activities and genuinely takes good care and interest in Woodie, as an individual dog(person!)”

About: I have a dog myself at home, she is a canine partner for my mum so I have experienced first hand what it’s like to train a dog and what is required of maintaining a healthy routine and life for a dog. I have dog sat before and walked other dogs before and love it so much!! I am very flexible with pet care, if you send me a message of what you would require of me I would be happy to fit you in! I am happy to feed, play or wash your furry friend, or just spend time with them! I am also very happy to walk them in the local area!
About: Hey, I'm Jackie. I've loved and been surrounded by dogs most of my life. :) Growing up, my family bred dachshunds. From a young age, I pet-sat and dog-walked for my neighbour's pets. My first official job was in a mall pet shop, bathing dogs and cleaning cages. In college, I worked at a doggy daycare that looked after dogs of all sizes and breeds. I'm now the proud mom to two small rescue dogs (Maggie & Mango). I also have experience working with cats, small rodents, birds and exotic animals (I've had two pet hedgehogs and have looked after bearded dragons). I'm more than happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to get to know you and your pet before booking. I know how important it is to find the perfect person to take care of your best friend, and I would love to be that person! :) As a freelance voiceover artist, I have a flexible schedule. I'm available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays. I can easily fit your pet care into my routine and will do my best to accommodate your needs. Currently based in Worthing. I am more than happy to care for your pet in your home and will follow any rules or guidelines you have (ie dogs not allowed in bed or on the sofa). My husband and I can also look after pets in our home. We're both freelancers, so home at all hours. We have a fully enclosed garden, and we also live near lots of lovely dog parks. Please note that we have two rescue dogs of our own. Maggie loves to play with new visitors, but Mango does not care to socialise. All dogs will have constant supervision.

“Elise has been amazing with our dog Mila! She’s super reliable, really caring, and Mila absolutely loves her. It’s such a relief knowing she’s in great hands, couldn’t recommend her more!”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Worthing
We discovered Tim on Rover after our long-standing sitter was unavailable for a weekend away. Tim came around in advance to talk through the care of our cats and was an absolute star whilst we were away. His visit updates reassured us all 3 cats were doing ok and he went over and above when discovering a box of cat food had burst. We will definitely use Tim again and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Sian continues to be an excellent carer for Woodie, she is completely reliable, helps me out with short notice bookings. She is very observant of Woodies needs depending on his energy levels etc. Sian is a great communicator and gives me lovely detailed and amusing updates of his day! But most of all Woodie absolutely loved her!

Woodie had a lovely first walk with Georgia, & I had plenty of great photos to show me! I was very happy for Georgia to take Woodie out she is very experienced and qualified, and took the trouble to do an initial meet. Woodie was certainly suitable worn out when I got home!

Louise was equally as amazing with coming to feed our cats whilst we were away as well, regularly dropping in to check in on them and give them food. We felt very reassured and relaxed leaving them at home whilst we were away knowing they'd be in safe hands with Louise.

Heidilaine has looked after both of my pets while on holiday, respecting their routines, feeding, playing and walking with frequent updates and lovely photos and videos. She did great especially with my dog, a young Rottweiler with a lot of energy, handled him very well! Very grateful for her attentiveness. Highly recommended.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Worthing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
