“Harriet was fantastic. She was punctual, friendly and professional. When we arrived home Paolo was in great form. He had been well watered, looked after and fed. We would highly recommend using her and will definitely be asking her to look after Paolo again.”

About: Hi, I'm Natalie! I've always loved animals and have had my own cats and dogs throughout my whole life. I don't think I've ever not had a pet at any point in time. I love cats and dogs both equally but currently have two Cockapoos, Fred is 10 years old and Ollie has just turned 1 so I have experience looking after senior dogs and puppies (at the same time) 😂 I've always looked after my friends and families pets when they've been away so have plenty of experience caring for animals. Really looking forward to looking after your furry friends and caring for them as if they were my own! 🩷 I'm self-employed and work from home so I'm totally flexible with availability. I can look after your pets any time of day or evening, whenever you need. I am happy to look after your pet in your own home so that they're happy and comfortable in their own environment. I can do walk-ins to check on your pets and feed them or walk them, or just to keep them company and give them lots of cuddles while you're away.
About: Hi, I’m Joel. I’m a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, regularly involved in outdoor activities and Forest School sessions. This means I’m at my happiest outdoors, rain or shine, and I’m used to managing a variety of unique needs with patience and a calm, positive approach. Working in an SEN environment has taught me how to read body language and learn to provide care for each individual’s needs - skills that translate perfectly to dealing with our furry friends! Whether your dog is a zoomy explorer who loves adventure or a more nervous personality who needs a gentle, patient companion, I can adapt my walking style to suit them. Why choose me? * DBS-Checked: I hold a current Enhanced DBS through my school role. * Genuine Love For The Outdoors: Spending most of my work and free time outside, all year long. * SEN Expertise: I’m highly patient and experienced with 'big' personalities and complex needs. * Reliable & Responsible: I’m used to following strict safety protocols and routines. * Experience with reactive/nervous dogs: Growing up at home with rescue dogs with challenging behaviours, learning to nurture and understand dogs both confident and nervous. Reach out with any queries you might have and I’ll respond as soon as I am able. Initial meet and greets with dogs are completely free as I’ll be eager to get to know the dogs before we set off on our first walk together! I work school hours during the week, which means I am free from 3:30pm weekdays. On weekends I can be available and flexible with hours, also being able to offer full time availability during school holidays. I can’t wait to meet your four-legged friends and share some fun fuelled walks! I can commit my full focus and attention towards your four legged loved ones, as I get as much joy being around them as they hopefully will around me! I have a very calm demeanour which I like to think helps the people and dogs around me feel the same way too.

About: For the past 10 years I’ve enjoyed walking/bathing/playing with/sitting my friends’s and family member’s dogs alongside my own. I am happy to accommodate to the owner’s needs for their dog and enjoy working with a range of different dog breeds :) I’m happy to be flexible surrounding you and your dog - I am free weekday mornings/afternoons and all day Friday-Sunday. Let me know the timings you need and I will try my best to accommodate! My garden is fenced and spacious allowing your dog to play freely. I pay close attention to your dog ensuring the safety and comfort of your pets.

About: With two dogs at home and years spent loving and looking after my two elderly cats, I know how much pets mean to us. I look after all pets as if they were my own. I work part‑time, so I’m flexible and able to look after your pets in their own home — including taking them out for regular walks to keep them happy and settled. I create a calm, safe environment in your home, keeping your dog’s routine, comfort, and wellbeing at the centre of everything I do. You can trust me to care for your dog and respect your space with the same attention I give my own pets.
“Violet was so trustworthy and reliable. This is the first time we’ve let someone else look after our dog and we had so much trust in violet from day one. Would definitely like to have violet again in the future, she did a fantastic job and did everything we asked of her. 🐾💙”

About: Since my early years, the family house has always been filled with small animals - cats, hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs. From this I’ve built a very good understanding of how to care for small animals like how to administer medication, feed, clean and groom them. Over my teenage years, whilst completing my gold Duke of Edinburgh, I volunteered for a year at an animal sanctuary where we cared and housed the most random of animals from hedgehogs to seagulls. But the most common animal we had were cats and kittens. Often we had around 20 cats at one time so I had to make sure to divide my time well that each animal had a good amount of human contact, cuddles, play time and grooming. It was important to establish bonds with the cats and kittens coming in as many were rescues so some didn’t have the best experience with human interaction. It was also important to build this connection so that they were able to go to homes in the future. As I have my own pet, Nova, I am very confident with scheduling for food, cleaning, vet visits etc. I work early in the morning therefore am up for early feeding time and then free for the whole day. Before accepting any job, It is my priority to first establish a basic relationship with the owner and pet in a visit before the intended date. This allows me to meet the pet and learn their schedule/ behaviour and where everything needed is and make sure you are happy and comfortable with me too!
“Evangelical was excellent. 2 very happy cats and 2 very happy humans, looked after the fluffy bags of mischief over Christmas for us and we are forever grateful for her help. Will definitely use her again”

About: I’ve had my own dog for 4 years. I’ve looked after both dogs and cats for neighbours for years and they were all different sizes and breeds. I also have experience with rover from over in the USA this year! I am currently home for the summer and don’t have a job so I have lots of availability across the whole week and throughout the whole day. I have a large garden and it is completely fenced off so it would be safe for your dog(s). I also have my own dog who is 4 years old and is super friendly

About: I've always been trusted to care for family pets, whether for overnight stays or daily walks, and I've loved every minute of it. I've also looked after pets for neighbours and family friends, giving me experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I love attending training classes with my own dog, Bruce, and have picked up a few fun tricks and training techniques along the way that I can practise with your pup too! I’m currently back from university over the summer and only working part time so i have plenty of time to look after and play with any dogs! My schedule is very flexible to fit your needs. I have a fenced garden and a very energetic dog, Bruce, who will love the company. I am very attentive and will make sure your dog has everything they need
About: Not only have I taken care of my own pets since I was a child, for over the past year I have dog sat for many friends and family. I am currently a final year student at Southampton university studying philosophy. This means I have a lot of spare time, and I what’s better than spending that time taking care of animals? To look after dogs, I had a gated garden and a gate at the bottom of the stairs. My rabbits had a large enclosure, the same with my chickens.
About: I have lived most of my life with one or more dogs at home and my family currently has four of them. For me, home is where the dog is. During university, my flatmate and I fostered 9 different dogs spread out over 2 years. The dogs were awaiting their flights to their forever homes, travelling from Cyprus to the UK. The periods of fostering ranged from 2 weeks to 3 months. This has taught me to take care of anxious dogs who had never had homes before or had been poorly treated by their owners. I also regularly dog sit my friend's 2 year old female labrador, as well as my family dogs. Unfortunately the place I rent doesn’t allow pets and so am restricted to drop in visits, house sitting and doggy walks. As I am a junior doctor, my availability will be very dependent on my rota schedule, however I am happy to discuss and work around it whenever possible. Many walks throughout the day, some exercise in the park and even some training if asked. Thanks to my childhood and the fostering experience I have carried out during university, I am able to easily adapt to different characters and breeds easily as well as adapting to your dog's specific needs.
About: Fun, trustworthy sitter, rescue volunteer, great with anxious pets, puppies and seniors, used to working in homes around animals, creating relaxed, happy, and safe memorable moments As a self employed business owner, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritise pet care throughout my day and week. Animals are naturally part of my routine, whether volunteering with rescue dogs or simply spending time visiting local wildlife. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so providing care never feels like a task, but a natural and rewarding part of my everyday life I understand how important trust is, having relied on sitters for my own cat who needed gentle, low-stress care. This is the standard of care I provide helping your pet feel right at home while following their usual routine to keep them settled and happy. I treat every animal with patience and genuine care, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. As I don’t currently have pets, your pet has my full attention, and I’m always happy to send regular updates for complete peace of mind

Emma was absolutely fab in looking after my two girl cats. She was attentive to them and reassuring to us whilst we were away on holiday. Our littlest cat had a scare with her tail tip (self inflicted) and Emma was committed to doing whatever she could to take care of her needs. We would recommend Emma in a heartbeat.

Trinity is an absolute star ⭐️ First time using Rover and she was very helpful and very quick at responding. Trinity came over to meet Bonnie and Bonnie loved her. Trinity comes over to let Bonnie out for a wee and she plays with Bonnie in the garden and gives Bonnie lots of cuddles. Trinity is 100% trustworthy and super flexible, which is really helpful for my job working in a hospital and always leaves the house tidy. I would HIGHLY recommend trinity, and will definitely use her again if needed.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chichester choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
