About: I’m always the one asked to dog or cat sit! I absolutely love doing it and getting to know the pets. I do sometimes think I’m a dog whisperer as I seem to know what they want or are thinking. I provide lots of cuddles and plenty of play. I have experience looking after both large and small dogs. I have also looked after multiple dogs at once, meeting each of their specific needs. I have experience with nervous and anxious dogs too, adapting the dog walk to suit the dog. I currently work in hospitality but I’m able to be flexible with my days and shifts. I love going out for walks so a little dog to join me would be fab. This gives me the best of both worlds as I sometimes travel so having a pet isn’t suitable for me full time. I have a fenced garden and plenty of parks to offer a well deserved play outside. I enjoy caring for pets in their own home and getting to know their home comforts and routine.

About: I’ve looked after many different breeds of dogs since I was around 12, I would pet sit for grandparents and family friends. I have a keen passion for looking after pets, with two pets of my own! I currently have a lab retriever so I’m used to high energy, big dogs, but I have had smaller dogs like jack russels so I am used to a range of different dogs. I also have a leopard gecko so I am happy to help look after pets like these if needed. I’m currently working part time with no educational commitments, I will have plenty of time to care for your pets. I have a couple of shifts a week so as much notice as possible would help me adapt my work availability to suit you. About: From around 6 I was reading every book I could get my hands on, regarding looking after pets. Mainly dogs, but I would read up on all sorts of pets, including cats and guinea pigs. I would take my aunt's dogs (border collies and labradors) out for walks, feed them, and help wash them. When I was a teenager, I started to look after one of the dogs on my own when my aunt needed it. This has continued with her current dog, who needs to be watched vigilantly as she eats everything in sight (classic lab!) I have experience with all sized dogs, from chihuahua to springer spaniel, to tornjak. I have looked after pure bred and rescue, each with their own unique personality and temperament, along with a variety of ages from under 1 to 16 years old. I also have experience with reactive dogs, including large breed dogs. Other animals: I have experience looking after cats, which include pure bred, rescue, and half feral. I also have a little experience with other animals, as I will look after a neighbour's nervous rescue cat, their giant snail, and fish, when they are away. I will also do drop ins for them when they are at work. I have a zero-hour contract job and am very flexible. I do not have a car but am able to walk, get the train, or bus to where I need to be. Please provide me with details on how to look after your pets if they have any specific instructions. For example, if they have a set feed or walk time, if they need to wear a muzzle on walks or cannot be off lead, food amounts, if they are allowed on furniture, ect. All of your instructions will be followed.

She was very communicative, keeping us updated regularly, followed all our instructions carefully, and took the time to cuddle and play with them rather than simply meeting their basic needs. She was very patient, attentive and calm, and adapted to each cat’s personality. One of our girls is particularly shy and needs a lot of reassurance, so seeing her become comfortable enough to cuddle and stay close to Aimee made us very happy and reassured while we were away. You can really tell that Aimee genuinely cares about animals and has a lovely, calming presence around them. We couldn’t recommend her more! And as a bonus, she also takes the cutest pictures and videos of your pets! 😊
Jen is absolutely fantastic with our cats! She communicated clearly and we received photos from every visit. Jen has a great attention to detail to ensure that the cats were properly tended to. Our cats are quite shy but have warmed up to her very quickly. Cannot recommend Jen enough! ❤️❤️
We have just stayed down in Portsmouth for a few days and one of the days we went to the Victorious music festival. This meant that we were out all day and had to leave Edison (old friend English sheepdog). We arranged for Preston come over to the house and walk Edison. Preston did a great job and kept us informed of his visits. He walked and fed Edison and kept him company for a while. We would highly recommend Preston and we will definitely use his services again when we are in Portsmouth.
Amazing. Being away in an area where there was little opportunity to communicate (yes there are areas in the world you can go with no internet, who knew) both my partner and I were hesitant about not being able to receive updates or those questions that never get asked but probably would have at a time we wouldn't have seen or able answer them. Maisie was brilliant, she thought of these scenarios before we did and made sure Cookie and Peanut were well looked after in our absence, bonus we even received some excellent Cat photo content upon our arrival back to civilisation. If you're thinking about using Maisie as your pet sitter, don't think, just do.
My girls are always excited when Mikey pays them a visit, Olive and Willow demand a lot of attention and Mikey offers that in abundance, either playing ball in the garden, walks to the park to cuddles on the sofa. Mikey, our girls can’t wait for your visit in September x
I cannot recommend Francesca highly enough! She's ever so patient and knows exactly how to deal with our nervous girls - so much so, that this time around both girls came out of hiding. This is pretty incredible because Freya only ever leaves the wardrobe for us! We get lovely updates and we can actually relax whilst away because we know the girls are in the best of hands :)
100% Positive,couldn’t be happier with our experience,my cat Tizzie was in very capable hands ,she did everything we asked , played with her fed her and used her brushes which my cat loves ,sat with her in the garden ,cleaned the dreaded litter box ! and sent updates ,one of which Tizzie had a minor eye problem which Megan sorted with some salt water and bathing which cured the problem before it being a larger thing to deal with whilst I was away on hols , would certainly recommend her and for sure have her back if she’s available x many thanks xx
Anisha came and took our puppy for a walk and it was clear both she and Alba had a great time. Anisha put in so much effort, keeping up with training, feeding her and making sure she had a drink when she got back. Her communication before, during and after the visit was excellent and it was lovely to receive lots of pictures of Alba whilst they were out too. We would recommend Anisha to any pet owner.
Lucy did great with caring for Cookie and Peanut whilst we were away on holiday. We have a slightly odd routine with feeding the cats, as Cookie will eat both meals if left unattended. Lucy made sure that Peanut got her share and that we came home to a fresh home with unsoiled litter trays.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
