About: I have grown up around many animals all my life. I am very compassionate to care for them and to meet their needs. Since moving out of the family home, I have my own cat, Benji, who is very energetic, mischievous, I adore coming home to seeing him. During my time living in my family home, I had numerous cats and 1 dog, who was a puppy when we brought him, he is a dalmadoodle. I enjoyed training him with my parents. I am a swimming teacher working predominantly with babies and toddlers between the hours of 10-12 and 3:30-5, and have a lot of time during the day to play with your animals, give them walks and give them the best life. I will care for pets in their home by being there for them when they would like to play, go for a walk or go to the toilet and food times! I will care for them like they are my own pet.
“It gives us such peace of mind to know that Pedro will be absolutely fine with Caroline visiting him when we have to leave him alone. She inspires confidence and Pedro is very comfortable with her.”

“Ellie was a star, providing cover at short notice to visit Pedro twice in one day. Pedro was very comfortable with her relaxed and confident manner, and gave us peace of mind to be able to leave Pedro all day. We are very grateful to her.”

“Absolutely love Molly, timely and really friendly. My two poms love her. Having one quite older dog and one younger dog it was important to find someone who understood there needs and Molly was very good with this. Will most definitely be rebooking her.”

“Eirian was very friendly, professional and she listened to every instructions I gave her for my dog Pixel. He is reactive to the doorbell, can be agressive when I receive guests and she was great. We did some exercises with the doorbell, I invited her in the house a few times and Pixel’s reactivity really improved.”

“Laura did an amazing job with Missy!! Would defo recommend to anyone looking for someone to look after their furr babies, she was so friendly and lovely when I met her :) great service! Was so lovely looking at the photos of her playing :)”

“Hilary was great with our 4 month old pup. Although we weren't able to meet beforehand, she still took the time to call and talk through what we needed. She was great with her reports too, after each visit. Lots of new photos for us to keep!”

About: Ive had experience of caring for most types of animals in my life. I am a massive animal lover and enjoy looking after all types of animal. If there is an animal about, thats where you will find me! I have 2 pet boy bunnies of my own who I adore and there are 3 dogs and a hamster in the wider family. I am a nurse by profession and from as young as 11, have enjoyed looking after other people's pets. I would often have a pet come and stay or be off to feed an animal. I am unable to have pets stay in my house other than a hamster/mouse/rat/gerbil. I am more than willing to do dog walking and pet pop ins. I offer a bespoke service tailored to the needs of you and your pet. I also have experience of looking after older pets with medical requirements such as medicines they may need. I pride myself on attention to detail and being reliable. I look forward to meeting you and your animals! I am also happy to do plant watering, fish feeding, and other little jobs that you require whilst away. Please note, I am unable to do Mon, Tues and Fridays due to my work. However, if you require a pop in or dog walk on these days I could do 6 am and or after 6pm. Thank you for reading. Bev I work 3 days a week as a nurse. However, I am more than happy and able to do pop ins pre and post shift on those days. The other 4 days of the week I can be available any time. Regardless of the day, your pet will get my time and attention. I am not able to have most pets in my house due to the bunnies. I could look after a hamster/gerbil/rat for example. I am highly respectful of people's homes and property and would maintain the utmost security and care of your property if I was doing pop ins for you.
“Michelle has been fantastic with the walks and daily visits for my boy Pablo, he has his difficult moments and she went above and beyond to make him comfortable and eased his pre-walk anxiety with raw feed which he loved. She was very communicative and would give me updates for every visit. I would highly reccomend Michelle's service :)”

“A definite recommend! Rebecca Y walked into the house for the meet and greet and my dog immediately felt safe in her presence. Rebecca took excellent care of my pooch when I was away from home and I feel so much peace of mind being able to leave her in Rebecca's care when I need to!”

About: My partner Jacob and I have both had dogs all our lives. We have had Staffies, boxers, spaniels, cross breeds. You name it! We love dogs. We also love and really advocate for dog training knowledge. We are very safe and responsible dog owners and know a lot about dog body language and behaviour. We will always make sure our day revolves around the dogs! They’ll get plenty of exercise, but we love to play with the dogs too - if they want it! Whether that’s a game of chase, tug, or find it. We love to mentally stimulate dogs as it’s so good for their brain. We love a game of hide and seek. Me and my partner work full time but both have the luxury to work from home. I do 2 days a week and my partner can work from home whenever. My work is very flexible and I live a 10 minute walk (1 minute drive) from my office so can attend to the dogs whenever. I am out in the morning for my exercise and my partner does his in the evening, so one of us is always home with the dog! We love to get out steps in before work and after too, so we always get out with the dogs. We have concrete fenced garden with a secure gate. We have doors inside the house that if we open the front door, we ensure the dogs are kept behind a closed door so they cannot get out. We make sure the dogs have everything they need and easy access. We are very tidy and don’t leave mess around or anything for dogs to chew on etc.
“Pablo was a great sitter for my cats over the Christmas period. He arrived at the agreed times and gave my cats all the care and attention they need. I had updates each visit, including photos and videos of the cats playing and purring away. This is the first time I have used Rover and would definitely use the service again! Pablo is highly recommended and I will definitely book him again if required.”
“John was amazing with Thor. I am a “pet mum” full of requests and reminders , lists on the wall and especially i request a continues update. John gave me everything I requested and he was really caring and affectionate with Thor🥰 I was a little apprehensive about many things cause although Thor is not a Huge dog is anyway a dog of a certain size, I have nothing but good words about him and I will for sure book him again in the future.”

About: I have had dogs from when I was young and as an adult. Dogs I’ve had have been from puppies so have experience of very young dogs. I currently have a dog who is my little buddy. I am DBS checked and cleared. I’m self employed so I have some different days free each week where I can care for other pets and prepared to travel up to a distance of 10 miles I have a fenced garden with a very friendly dog who likes to meet other dogs and people. Dogs are allowed on furniture and bed
About: We lost our rescue Springer Spaniel Roxy in December. She was with us for 13 years and when we rescued her she was over weight, had hip problems and was scared of men. Soon she was slim, learnt how to swim and won a rosette for best rescue dog at a local country show. She loved walking in the woods close to use and the beach walks we took her on and we miss the joy she brought to us on those days. The house is quiet and whilst we are not yet ready to replace her we would love to share some of our love with a few furry guests. I sometimes also look after my friends black lab called Misty who is a tea drinking nutcase!! I work for myself and most of the time from home. If it was necessary for me to have to work from a Clients premises for a day this would be scheduled in advance so I would not take on a dog whose stay would be affected by this. In the case of an emergency however my husband Mark is able to work from home or has even been known to take Roxy in to his office for different tickles! We have a large garden which is fenced and entrances fitted with gates. Any pet we care for would have free reign of this space. Depending on the needs of the dog we would walk it as often as requested and keeps it's mealtime routine. we were always strict with treats for Roxy but again would adapt to the owners requests

About: Hello! I work from home quite a bit and I’m really missing the company of my dog. I thoroughly enjoy going on little adventures and like to get the steps in. I’ve had 13 years experience caring for my dog at home and most recently an Alsatian puppy. I’ve also had experience volunteering in an animal shelter! While I work part time my schedule is pretty flexible and I love nothing more than a break from the computer to get some fresh air. Keeping your pet happy and healthy is the top priority. I will play with them, walk them and keep them well fed and well rested. And of course give them loads of love!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and have experienced caring for small dogs (dachounds) to large dogs (Boerboels). I enjoy running so if your dog enjoys going for walks/runs in the park I would be happy to bring them along with their favourite toy if they enjoy playing fetch! Walks take place in Stoke Park during daylight hours, and happy to bring treats and toys along if your pet requires this during their walks. Puppy training can also be provided if requested I can stay at home for longer periods of time if your dog gets anxious being left alone. I am also happy to help with medication administration (oral tablets/gels only). I have plenty of availability and happy to work around your pets requirements. I have experience caring for senior dogs and cats, willing to be patient and provide extra support for pets with limited mobility. Please notify me of any requirements your pet needs, such as any dog treats they cannot have and if your pet reacts to loud noises / other dogs.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful! She was very flexible as we had some last minute changes of our plan, she sent lots of information and photos/videos of our cats so we knew how they were getting on, and even did more than we asked for (e.g. clearing up litter the cats had trailed!). Could recommend her more & we would like to use her for all future holidays 😊

Charlotte was fantastic from start to finish. Our cat loved her and she was great at communication sending us lots of photos and videos when she was pet sitting. Charlotte was coming round during a heat wave so made sure our cat had plenty of water to make sure our cat was going to be ok during the hot spell. Thanks again Charlotte 5 star

How lucky we feel, to go away and leave our cat with Natalie. She is amazing, gives daily updates and Willow looks so chilled with her. She even put our wheels bin out on collection day. I do not think I’d come away if we couldn’t leave Willow in her hands. 🐈 😻

If you’re looking for a cat sitter, you don’t need to look any further - just go with Loz. It was our first time away, and when we got back they were both chilled and happy, which was such a relief. In every set of check-in photos, we could see they loved Loz, and it just made the trip so much easier knowing they were in good hands. Thank you so much for your help!!!

Lauren has been absolutely lovely with Nico. This was the first time we’d ever left him, and as he has separation anxiety I was quite nervous - but she was amazing and put him at ease straight away. He felt relaxed and comfortable with her immediately, which meant so much to us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lauren to anyone looking for dog sitting or house sitting - especially if your dog needs a bit of extra patience and understanding. Thank you so much, Lauren ❤️

Saya has been absolutely wonderful with Rupert. Spent so much time gaining his trust as he’s quite nervous with new people but they’re now the best of friends from the first visit. Can’t praise enough how amazing Saya is. Trust worthy and was in contact the whole time she was with him sending lots of updates and pictures. I will certainly be booking again for her to come and visit Rupert :) thank you!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eastleigh choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
