About: I have grown up around many animals all my life. I am very compassionate to care for them and to meet their needs. Since moving out of the family home, I have my own cat, Benji, who is very energetic, mischievous, I adore coming home to seeing him. During my time living in my family home, I had numerous cats and 1 dog, who was a puppy when we brought him, he is a dalmadoodle. I enjoyed training him with my parents. I am a swimming teacher working predominantly with babies and toddlers between the hours of 10-12 and 3:30-5, and have a lot of time during the day to play with your animals, give them walks and give them the best life. I will care for pets in their home by being there for them when they would like to play, go for a walk or go to the toilet and food times! I will care for them like they are my own pet.
About: I have 2 female labradors in the house (5 years and her daughter 1 year). I have bred a litter and so am experienced looking after young puppies. I’m retired, so I’m in the house most of the day. My dogs get taken on safe enclosed walks an hour long each day. I have a big house/garden for the dogs to relax and play in. I’m up around 8am and go for an hours walk with the dogs around 9-10am Pottering around the garden during the day Afternoon walk with the dogs (hot weather depending, else it’s a walk after 9pm) I’m retired and so lots of time can be spent with the dogs. I have a large fenced garden and 2 lovely tempered female Labradors (5 and 1) I’ll treat your pet like my own and they will have full roaming of garden and house I have stair gates, if you prefer your dogs to stay downstairs

“Daniel was brilliant looking after our beautiful bengal, Freddie. He’s often a bit stressed when we get back from a trip but this time he seemed remarkably calm and happy. The pictures and videos every single visit were something we looked forward to and it was such a relief to know that he was being looked after so well back at home whilst we were away. We will always come back to Daniel for cat sitting - something I suspect Freddie will be very pleased about!”

“Thank you Hilary for being available at such short notice and willing to drop in on Maple, keeping us updated with pictures and she seemed very content when we got back”

“Eirian was happy to meet with us first so we could chat through things. She arrived on time. Once we were away, she looked after our cats so well while we were away and she even put our bin away for us, so it wasn’t so obvious we were away. Thank you Eirian.”

“Laura has been walking our dog for a couple of months to try and build us his confidence / reduce his anxiety with new people. Today was the first time Laura watched him in our house, and it went so well. Brodey was totally at ease and happy to stay with Laura. Massive thanks to Laura for your patience and perseverance with our boy!”

“Ellie very kindly did a drop in visit for my puppy last minute. Communication before the visit was brilliant. Juniper clearly had a great time with Ellie and I came home to a very happy puppy. I had some lovely pictures and overview of what Ellie and Juniper got up to. Absolutely would recommend Ellie and I would have her come again in a heartbeat.”

“From the moment Sarah messaged us about our booking to the moment she finished looking after Blu we couldn’t have faulted her. She did an excellent job and was respectful of our privacy. She gave us updates everyday with lovely videos and photos. We felt like our cat was in very good hands and we didn’t worry at all. Thank you so much Sarah, we’ll definitely be using you again!”

“A definite recommend! Rebecca Y walked into the house for the meet and greet and my dog immediately felt safe in her presence. Rebecca took excellent care of my pooch when I was away from home and I feel so much peace of mind being able to leave her in Rebecca's care when I need to!”

“Eliza did a great job of looking after Leilla for 6 evenings, always, providing fresh water and setting the 24 hr cat feeder until the next visit. Leilla is wary of new people but I could see from the pictures that she got really relaxed with Eliza. Eliza also reached out with a few questions which meant Leilla got all the care she needed. Thank you!”

“Helena has been amazing with our Arlo! He absolutely loves her and has the best time with her. It's so good to know our boy is being well looked after when we have to be away. Helena has also been flexible when we've had to change our schedule 🩷 It's hard to find a good sitter, but such a peace of mind when we do, very grateful!”

About: Ive had experience of caring for most types of animals in my life. I am a massive animal lover and enjoy looking after all types of animal. If there is an animal about, thats where you will find me! I have 2 pet boy bunnies of my own who I adore and there are 3 dogs and a hamster in the wider family. I am a nurse by profession and from as young as 11, have enjoyed looking after other people's pets. I would often have a pet come and stay or be off to feed an animal. I am unable to have pets stay in my house other than a hamster/mouse/rat/gerbil. I am more than willing to do dog walking and pet pop ins. I offer a bespoke service tailored to the needs of you and your pet. I also have experience of looking after older pets with medical requirements such as medicines they may need. I pride myself on attention to detail and being reliable. I look forward to meeting you and your animals! I am also happy to do plant watering, fish feeding, and other little jobs that you require whilst away. Please note, I am unable to do Mon, Tues and Fridays due to my work. However, if you require a pop in or dog walk on these days I could do 6 am and or after 6pm. Thank you for reading. Bev I work 3 days a week as a nurse. However, I am more than happy and able to do pop ins pre and post shift on those days. The other 4 days of the week I can be available any time. Regardless of the day, your pet will get my time and attention. I am not able to have most pets in my house due to the bunnies. I could look after a hamster/gerbil/rat for example. I am highly respectful of people's homes and property and would maintain the utmost security and care of your property if I was doing pop ins for you.
“We had to abandon our cat for the weekend to visit our son. We didn’t have a single concern after arranging for Natalie to pop in 2x per day. She fed Willow, changed his litter and played with him Willow was so chilled when we got home, he’d had dinner and didn’t even come downstairs to greet us 😳”

About: Hello! I work from home quite a bit and I’m really missing the company of my dog. I thoroughly enjoy going on little adventures and like to get the steps in. I’ve had 13 years experience caring for my dog at home and most recently an Alsatian puppy. I’ve also had experience volunteering in an animal shelter! While I work part time my schedule is pretty flexible and I love nothing more than a break from the computer to get some fresh air. Keeping your pet happy and healthy is the top priority. I will play with them, walk them and keep them well fed and well rested. And of course give them loads of love!
“John was amazing with Thor. I am a “pet mum” full of requests and reminders , lists on the wall and especially i request a continues update. John gave me everything I requested and he was really caring and affectionate with Thor🥰 I was a little apprehensive about many things cause although Thor is not a Huge dog is anyway a dog of a certain size, I have nothing but good words about him and I will for sure book him again in the future.”

“Pablo was a great sitter for my cats over the Christmas period. He arrived at the agreed times and gave my cats all the care and attention they need. I had updates each visit, including photos and videos of the cats playing and purring away. This is the first time I have used Rover and would definitely use the service again! Pablo is highly recommended and I will definitely book him again if required.”
About: Hi I’m Mykala — a professional and friendly pet sitter and dog walker based in Eastleigh and surrounding areas. I’ve gained hands on experience through working at dog daycare, boarding and training dogs for college and volunteering at vets, which helped me build a solid understanding of dog behaviour, body language and basic obedience. I’ve just finished my 1st year veterinary nursing but am taking a break to focus on more on my business. I have experience with old, young, reactive and everything in between. As this is my full-time job. I may occasionally need to step out briefly to attend to other clients during the day. If your pet has separation anxiety or requires constant care and can’t be left alone more than a couple hours, I’m still more than happy to help, this would simply be shown in a higher price to accommodate for the additional time and attention they need. I am able to administer medication if needed, I’m currently doing my canine first aid qualification and have basic animal behaviour qualification for the animals who need extra care and support

Sarah was fantastic and I’ll be using again. Sarah sent me lovely updates to see how my boys were getting on. She kept them well Fed and watered and also brought toys with her to keep them entertained. I loved the daily updates with photos which gave me peace of mind that they were being very well looked after. Thank you Sarah
Charlotte was amazing and Prince loved her :-). She was flexible and responded to all requests and questions very quickly, and was a very reassuring and calming influence to a slightly nervous Cat-Father. Charlotte sent lots of updates so it was good to see that Prince was very happy. I thoroughly recommend Charlotte and knowing that she's here is great so I can plan more getaways in the future without worrying about Prince.

Loz was amazing. Marley and Jasper were well looked after and the check-in helped me to be able to relax whilst away. I really appreciated the communication and also giving Marley his medication too. Really grateful and will definitely be rebooking with Loz in the future.

Eirian was happy to meet with us first so we could chat through things. She arrived on time. Once we were away, she looked after our cats so well while we were away and she even put our bin away for us, so it wasn’t so obvious we were away. Thank you Eirian.

From the moment Marcella met our kittens, they clearly loved her. Every morning and evening, Marcella sent us messages and photos with of the 2 cats eating, playing and cuddling with her. We are so grateful for Marcella’s services and will be using her again. Our cats were clearly in loving hands, which reassured us greatly during our holiday.

How lucky we feel, to go away and leave our cat with Natalie. She is amazing, gives daily updates and Willow looks so chilled with her. She even put our wheels bin out on collection day. I do not think I’d come away if we couldn’t leave Willow in her hands. 🐈 😻

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eastleigh choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
