She had a blast playing and getting all the attention. They even included Islay in their weekend plans and she spent loads of time outdoors with the whole family. About: I have been around dogs ever since I was a baby. My nan cared for retired guide dogs for around 20 years, so I developed a strong love and adoration for dogs. My family has owned 2 dogs since I was a child, sadly our last dog passed away 2 years ago and my family and I have felt like a part of us has been missing ever since. No dog could replace our sweet Lionel, he was the most special dog ever, but I decided to start up a dog boarding business as a way to still surround us with dogs. I have looked after friends and family’s dogs many times as favours before I started my business and that’s what really pushed me to have the confidence to do this as a job. If you choose to have me as your dog boarder, you can be assured that your dog will be treated like family and will be given so much love and care. I am available everyday of the week as this is my sole job. I do volunteer most mornings of the week, however I live in a house of 6 people so it is very rare that no one is home. I am fully licensed by Southampton City Council, so my house and garden have been completely approved and catered to suit dog boarding. I also have a Canine First Aid certification, full insurance and DBS checked.

About: I’ve always loved dogs and dreamed of having one of my own, so getting my first dog at 22 was very special to me. My family’s much-loved Black Labrador is now 9, and although I’ve lived on my own for the past three years, I still look after him regularly. I’m very involved in his care, from long, adventurous walks in the New Forest to grooming and administering his medication. Since then, I’ve also had the pleasure of looking after numerous dogs for friends and neighbours, including long walks, day care and multiple overnight stays. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy and cared for while their owners are away. I’m patient, attentive and naturally very caring, and I’m happy to follow each dog’s individual routine - whether that means lots of exercise and play, plenty of cuddles, extra patience with an older dog, or simply being there for company. Your dog would be treated as one of my own, with lots of love, attention and care. I’m currently between jobs, which means I have a very flexible schedule and lots of time to dedicate to caring for your dog. Rather than being left alone for long periods, they can have plenty of company, attention, playtime and regular walks throughout the day. I’m able to tailor my routine around each dog’s individual needs - whether they’re an energetic dog who loves long walks and exploring, a puppy who needs plenty of attention and patience, or an older dog who prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles. I’m also very happy to maintain their usual feeding, walking and medication routines so they feel as comfortable and settled as possible while you’re away. I genuinely enjoy having dogs around and would love the opportunity to give your dog a fun, loving and relaxed day while you’re busy or away. 🐾❤️ I live in a comfortable house with a secure, fully fenced garden, giving dogs a safe space to enjoy some fresh air and stretch their legs without needing to leave the garden. The house is pet-free, so your dog can have my full attention without having to share their space with other animals. I take security seriously, particularly when caring for a dog that isn’t my own. I have a Ring doorbell for added security and peace of mind, and I’m careful about keeping doors and gates secure at all times. Before your dog stays with me, I’d make sure I understand their routine, any house rules and anything they may need extra care with. I’m also very happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so you can see where your dog will be staying and we can make sure we’re all comfortable before their booking.
“Absolutely AMAZING!!! I have literally no words to describe how much I'm thankful to take care of my Lulu on the highest level! I'm treating my puppy like my baby and I was so much sick worried to leave him for long 4 days away from us... But from first phone conversation, through our first meeting, the vibe was amazing! Home and environment is totally dog and puppies friendly. Honestly, he even didn't feel we were gone. He had daily portion of fun, food always on time, walkies and what more important LOVE and understanding if he had poop accident at home etc. We had daily reports and tones of videos and pictures! Chan and his wife looked after my dog, Nero, for two weeks, and I could not be happier with the care they provided. Nero settled in very quickly with them, which gave me instant peace of mind. Chan is incredibly kind and attentive. He followed all of Nero's routine instructions perfectly and sent daily updates sometimes even multiple times a day so I always knew how Nero was doing. Communication was amazing, as Chan is always very quick to reply to messages. Nero was so happy during his stay. I definitely recommend Chan and his wife with both hands, and I will absolutely be booking them again in the future! :)

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
