“A wonderful family who took great care of Doris like she was their own. She didn't want to leave when I came to pick her up! I wouldn't hesitate to book Rhiannon again in the future.”

About: I’m currently training to become a Level 3 qualified Dog Groomer and have had dogs all my life, so I’m confident, calm and comfortable caring for a variety of breeds and temperaments. Qualified in Canine First Aid. I'm currently working part time so can be flexible and have plenty of time to care for your dogs, open to boarding and in-house sitting also, available on weekends also. I have a secure garden with no external access from street, crate available if/when needed. We have a two year old mixed breed dog who is very loving and friendly.

About: Having grown up with dogs all my life, and 40 years of owning my own dogs, I can offer your dog a safe, caring and loving holiday. I have 2 Cocker Spaniels and have experience in training and breeding. I have recently retired from 40 years of being a staff nurse and now have the time to devote to caring for doggies. I have recently retired from 40 years as a nurse, so have lots of free time to walk, play and cuddle the dogs. I can offer long or short walks and am always down on Stokes Bay for walks with my dogs, come rain or shine. I have a fully enclosed fenced garden, With 2 Cocker Spaniels of my own. "Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home is clean, secure, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space to relax and play. I make sure all hazardous items, foods, and small objects are kept safely out of reach, and dogs are always supervised during play and feeding times.l only accept a limited number of dogs at once so each pet gets individual attention and care. Walks are always done on-lead unless agreed otherwise and I follow each owner's instructions carefully regarding routines, diet, and medications. I also provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
“Nasima was amazing with blade kept us updated at all times and sent pictures and blade really enjoyed himself would definitely Highly recommend and will be using Nasimas services again 10/10”

“Bella absolutely loved staying with Jessica. I was updated regularly with photos and felt very comfortable and confident even though this was the first time we had left her with a stranger. We cannot recommend Jessica enough and will definitely be using her again”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my senior dog with Christos and Kyriacos. They are polite, responsible, and genuinely caring. I was regularly updated and sent plenty of photos of my dog enjoying his stay. They quickly won my dog over, who is picky about who he trusts, showing they made a real effort to connect with him. I could even tell he missed them when he returned home. I will definitely be reaching out to Christos and Kyriacos when I next need a sitter and recommend them to anyone looking for reliable pet sitting and peace of mind.”

“Daisy has been absolutely amazing looking after Charlie. Lots of photos and updates that makes leaving him so much more stress free. He’s had a great weekend. Thank you so much and very much look forward to having Charlie stay again soon.”

“Excellent service! This is the first time I have left the dogs and go on holiday I would highly recommend Jade she made the whole process very smoothly and easy. Jade was sending me pictures and chatting with my dogs on video call.”

About: I am currently training to be a vet nurse, before this I was a professional dog walker and sitter. I have cared for many different types of animals and sizes! I have always taken care of others animals as if they were my very own. My weekends are mostly filled with lovely dog walks and revising! My week days are pretty busy but can be free in the evenings, I also get one day off a working week and free on most weekends. I have 2 dogs of my own who love to mingle and walk with others, my house is very cosy. However I am also very happy to come in to your pets own home, so they have their very own comforts.
About: I’ve grown up around both dogs and cats, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. Over the years, I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and neighbours – whether that’s day care, walks, or overnight stays – so I’m very comfortable with different breeds, personalities, and routines. I genuinely enjoy building a bond with each dog and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well looked after while you’re away. From energetic walks to relaxed evenings at home, I always try to match their usual routine so they feel as settled as possible 🐾 Since moving into my own place, I’ve also volunteered as a foster carer for cats, which has strengthened my patience and understanding of animals with different temperaments – something I bring into my dog care too. I joined Rover to offer the same level of care I’ve been providing informally for years, just in a more structured and reliable way for owners looking for someone they can trust 🤍 I offer availability throughout the week for dog and cat drop-in visits, dog walking, boarding and doggy day care. Feel free to message me to check availability for your specific dates 😊 I always try to keep things as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible, as I know that’s what helps them feel most comfortable and relaxed. I’ll follow your instructions carefully when it comes to feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific needs or habits your pet has. I’m calm and patient, so I’m happy to give pets space if they need it, but also give them attention, play, and affection when they want it. I’ll make sure they feel safe, settled, and well looked after while you’re away. If I’m in your home, I’ll treat it with respect and keep everything clean and tidy. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands.
“My dog was well looked after, happy, and clearly comfortable during his stay. Great communication and lots of care shown throughout. Would definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve had dogs (and other pets too!) since I was 2 years old. My family first rescued a tiny puppy called Benji, a little Yorkshire Terrier cross Border Terrier who lived to 18 years old! In 2017 we rescued our 9 year old Jeanie, a Jack Russel cross Corgi who was so full of character, a real little diva, who lived to 17 years old. Whilst I am currently a 2nd year university student studying Criminology, I often visit home where my parents own a lovely (not so little) Golden Labrador named Max, recently rescued at 2 years old - I love going home to take him on long walks in the woods and practice some training! I would love the opportunity to look after/walk your dog, and get to know some new breeds! I have a lot of availability whilst I’m here at university as I luckily don’t have to work, so typically I only have a couple one hour lectures a week - I can fit in walks or drop ins very easily around these ☺️ I live in a flat with my boyfriend of 2 years which unfortunately doesn’t have a garden area, however we do live very close to the beach and a large grassy area where I would walk your doggy :)
Portsmouth dog owners share their Rover experiences
Michaela & Andre looked after our 2 elderly, emotionally needy, cross breeds for 4 nights..and I couldn't be happier! Michaela was so accommodating, making sure my boys had their medication, following their home routine & she went above & beyond to encourage them to eat when they were home sick. I had photos & pupdates daily & my boys came home, happy, tired & with a new home away from home. I can't recommend Michaela & her family highly enough & I wouldn't hesitate to book them again!

I’d definitely recommend Emma as a 5 star sitter and will definitely booking with her again. My dog Eric has just spent nearly 2 weeks with Emma whilst we’ve been on holiday and he’s definitely had a fabulous holiday of his own at her house. Emma kept me up to date with how Eric was getting on and also sent me lots of photos and videos of his adventures with her, her partner and her dog Willow. Eric and Willow got along so well and she’s very chilled with having another dog in her home, vying for her pawrents affections! Eric loves lots of attention, but generally more from humans and tends to be selective with his affection for other dogs, so it was lovely to see videos of him and Willow chasing each other and playing together and photos of them relaxing at home. I’m confident that Eric had a brilliant home from home holiday and Emma will definitely be my first choice of sitter
