I have 2 Cocker Spaniels and have experience in training and breeding. I have recently retired from 40 years of being a staff nurse and now have the time to devote to caring for doggies. I can offer long or short walks and am always down on Stokes Bay for walks with my dogs, come rain or shine. I have a fully enclosed fenced garden, With 2 Cocker Spaniels of my own. "Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home is clean, secure, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space to relax and play. I make sure all hazardous items, foods, and small objects are kept safely out of reach, and dogs are always supervised during play and feeding times.l only accept a limited number of dogs at once so each pet gets individual attention and care. Walks are always done on-lead unless agreed otherwise and I follow each owner's instructions carefully regarding routines, diet, and medications. I also provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of different breeds for over 15 years of my life, including my own and my families. I can help train, bathe, walk and play with your pooches!. I have lots of time to play, stimulate and walk your doggies. We also have a large garden where your dog can run around freely and play with toys. I will let them roam the place but ensuring the house/ flat is secure so the pooch cannot get out, following instructions that are given.

Our dog, Dylan, had a lovely time and was very contented there and when picked up! Penny was very quick to respond and answer any questions we had. As a doggy parent to an epileptic dog, we can often feel nervous about leaving him with someone new. However, we were very reassured and sent loads of updates and photos. Will book again!
We recently adopted two rescues and we're unsure how they would cope having only been with us a short time. Right from the off, Claire reassured us that the dogs would be fine and that she had the previous experience to deal with anything that crops up. She was exactly right, we had nothing to worry about and the dogs were fine even in the hottest heatwave the country has ever seen. Both dogs had a brilliant time and down to Clare's experience and her very welcoming family they settled quickly. We have already discussed booking again in six months time and I'm sure the dogs will be looking forward to it. Cannot fault the service we received.
Emily provided a safe, calm environment for Mannie's first ever night away at a dog sitters. She took great care asking questions and Mannie warmed to her and her house instantly. Despite Mannie being a noisy little barky boy and him completely foregoing his toilet training during his first time in a new space, Emily was continuously professional and understanding of dog behaviours and provided excellent care. Want to say a huge thank you. I was let down last minute by our usual sitter but thankfully shiyi was able to help us out. She was very caring and loving and little man settled really quickly. Not remotely surprised that Teodora has star sitter status: from the very first message, she was accommodating, flexible and responsive. Our nervous spaniel had a blast in her house. He was spoiled rotten and taken out for lots of fun walks in the woods and on the common. He has come back to us very happy and we've already booked him in for a repeat visit.
I can’t recommend Rosie enough, I have nothing but praise. She went above and beyond to make sure my puppy Cleo was comfortable with a prior meet and greet and I knew whilst I was on holiday, I was able to trust her implicitly. Rosie kept me updated daily, with adorable photos and videos, Cleo had the best time and looked so happy with Rosie’s own two friendly, loving sausage dogs Buddy and Boo which put me at ease so I could fully relax whilst being away knowing that she is in the safest hands. Thank you so much and I know Cleo will be so happy to return again in future!🫶🏼❤️
Fab experience with Lily. My little Spaniel stayed with her over the weekend and I was kept updated throughout with photos. Bonnie loved her time, and had come back a happy, tired pup! Lily was very accommodating with arranging meet and greet along with trial day session! Definitely recommend and can’t thank enough!
Tamina and her housemates were brilliant with Odin. They sent lots of photos and videos to keep us updated. They gave him lots of cuddles and he loved them. They knew how to care for a big boy like Odin. So much so I think Odin was very sad to be leaving theirs. I would 100% use tamina again if I ever need a dog sitter again.
Michaela & Andre looked after our 2 elderly, emotionally needy, cross breeds for 4 nights..and I couldn't be happier! Michaela was so accommodating, making sure my boys had their medication, following their home routine & she went above & beyond to encourage them to eat when they were home sick. I had photos & pupdates daily & my boys came home, happy, tired & with a new home away from home. I can't recommend Michaela & her family highly enough & I wouldn't hesitate to book them again!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
