I sent her packing (a little nervous due to it being my first rover) and with a million warnings about what she MIGHT do! 🤣 Turns out Mabel was an absolute dream so they must have been brilliant at looking after her. I had regular updates and pictures. Timings were sorted out easily and we kept in touch via Whatsapp. Joanne has a really secure garden - which made me feel so much more comfortable leaving her there. It felt like a home from home setting. I have two children of my own and Joanne's two seemed to love her as much as her own. They were super excited to have her. She was allowed upstairs and just slipped into their family life. She had plenty of walks and was fed well. I wouldn't hesitate at using Jo again! Thanks guys! 🐾🐾”

“Absolutely great! Gayle understands long dogs and I think my rescue girlie loves her as much as Gayle loves her. My dog has separation anxiety and behavioural problems from her previous home, so it's a great result as it's the first time she has needed to stay overnight and the following day away from home. I'm treating my puppy like my baby and I was so much sick worried to leave him for long 4 days away from us... But from first phone conversation, through our first meeting, the vibe was amazing! Home and environment is totally dog and puppies friendly. Honestly, he even didn't feel we were gone. He had daily portion of fun, food always on time, walkies and what more important LOVE and understanding if he had poop accident at home etc. We had daily reports and tones of videos and pictures! I need to mention as well about their lovely dogs Oscar and Lucy, my Lulu had great company and they were also so patient with him. Thank you so much and I recommend you in hundred percent. About: I have been around dogs ever since I was a baby. My nan cared for retired guide dogs for around 20 years, so I developed a strong love and adoration for dogs. My family has owned 2 dogs since I was a child, sadly our last dog passed away 2 years ago and my family and I have felt like a part of us has been missing ever since. No dog could replace our sweet Lionel, he was the most special dog ever, but I decided to start up a dog boarding business as a way to still surround us with dogs. I have looked after friends and family’s dogs many times as favours before I started my business and that’s what really pushed me to have the confidence to do this as a job. If you choose to have me as your dog boarder, you can be assured that your dog will be treated like family and will be given so much love and care. I am available everyday of the week as this is my sole job. I do volunteer most mornings of the week, however I live in a house of 6 people so it is very rare that no one is home. I am fully licensed by Southampton City Council, so my house and garden have been completely approved and catered to suit dog boarding. I also have a Canine First Aid certification, full insurance and DBS checked.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
