A few days beforehand she met us for a walk to see how Islay is getting on with everyone. Islay absolutely adored staying overnight with Jo’s family and her dog. She had a blast playing and getting all the attention. They even included Islay in their weekend plans and she spent loads of time outdoors with the whole family. I received regular updates from Jo and I felt so relaxed knowing she was happy and enjoying herself. I’ll definitely be leaving Islay with Jo again in the future. This was such a positive experience and I’m thoroughly happy. I can’t recommend Jo and her family highly enough.”

About: I have been around dogs ever since I was a baby. My nan cared for retired guide dogs for around 20 years, so I developed a strong love and adoration for dogs. My family has owned 2 dogs since I was a child, sadly our last dog passed away 2 years ago and my family and I have felt like a part of us has been missing ever since. No dog could replace our sweet Lionel, he was the most special dog ever, but I decided to start up a dog boarding business as a way to still surround us with dogs. I have looked after friends and family’s dogs many times as favours before I started my business and that’s what really pushed me to have the confidence to do this as a job. If you choose to have me as your dog boarder, you can be assured that your dog will be treated like family and will be given so much love and care. I am available everyday of the week as this is my sole job. I do volunteer most mornings of the week, however I live in a house of 6 people so it is very rare that no one is home. I am fully licensed by Southampton City Council, so my house and garden have been completely approved and catered to suit dog boarding. I also have a Canine First Aid certification, full insurance and DBS checked.
“Philip has given our 8 month old Spaniel, Olive, the most amazing week of love, care and attention! Leaving your dog with a stranger is daunting and we'd never left Olive before. It was a first for us and we couldn't have wished for a better person!!! Olive & I met Philip for a meet & greet, I knew immediately that he was perfect. His two Dachshunds are adorable and so well cared for. I thought Olive might be too lively for them, but they're so calm and weren't worried about her at all. I left feeling confident that Olive would be in safe hands. Philip is super responsive with messages. He put our mind at rest the first morning, sending pictures of Olive looking very much at home. Throughout the week we received regular messages, fantastic photos and videos. Olive was treated to some great trips out for brilliant walks and exercise - she looked so happy we didn't think she'd want to come home! We will definitely use Philip again and can't recommend him enough. You won't find a more able or caring person!”

She had to deal with our ragdoll being sick often and I am grateful that not only did she do this without complaint but we came back to two very happy, soft (thanks for brushing so often) cats and a very tidy flat with no sign of the sick I can’t thank you enough for that!! Greyhounds, whippets, lurchers and other sighthounds are incredibly special dogs. About: I’m new to Rover, but I’m not new to caring for dogs. I’ve had dogs in my life for 44 years and currently care for my own elderly dogs (Oscar (15) & Lucy (16)), both of whom have needed a lot of patience, routine and gentle handling as they’ve got older. Through them, I’ve gained real experience with senior dog care, sight loss, reduced hearing, medication routines, mobility issues, and understanding when a dog needs calm reassurance rather than too much fuss. I’ve also looked after puppies & dogs for friends and family, and I’m very comfortable following each dog’s normal routine closely. I know how important the little details are, from feeding times and medication to favourite blankies & toys, walking habits, nervous behaviours and the small things that help a dog feel calm and settled. I don’t think there’s anything quite like a dog. They are funny, loyal, gentle, soulful little creatures who somehow make the world feel better just by being in it. I genuinely believe dogs are one of the best things in life, and caring for them properly is something I take seriously. I work from home Monday to Friday and have a flexible schedule, so I’m around throughout the day for company, toilet breaks, feeding routines, walks and plenty of attention. I’m used to planning my day around dogs and their routines, including set meal times, medication needs, rest time and comfort. Walks can be fitted around my working day, including during my breaks or any walking meetings I have with my team. I am currently offering boarding in my own home, as my own dogs have a calm, steady routine and I’m always close by. I care for dogs in my own home, where I keep things calm, safe and settled. I have two elderly dogs myself, so my home is already built around a gentle routine, quiet care and close supervision. They mostly sleep now and are used to being around dogs from friends and family, including younger dogs, so the house is calm rather than busy. I’m very mindful of helping dogs feel comfortable, especially if they are older, nervous, have medical needs, or simply need a little time to settle in. I will always follow your instructions closely, including feeding routines, medication, walks, toilet breaks, sleeping arrangements and any house rules or quirks your dog may have. Every dog is different, so I’d want to understand what makes them feel safe and happy before they stay. Dogs in my care would have plenty of company throughout the day, as I work from home and am always around. They would not be left alone for long, usually no more than around 15 minutes if I needed to pop to the local shop.

We currently have a gorgeous 2y old black miniature poodle boy (neutered) who is very friendly and easy-going. Our poodle loves the water so a swim is definitely on the cards for a hot day! Then they can cuddle up while we both work at home usually. We break the day up with games in the garden, like fetch, tug or find-it, and are always available for cuddles. We're happy to adapt to your dogs energy and requirements. We have a decent sized bungalow with a big garden and secure fence. Your dog can make themselves comfortable wherever they fancy and we will always keep an eye on them while they are settling in.

My family have had dogs since I was little and I now regularly look after my mums dog during the week and when she goes on holiday as well as other family and friends dogs. I am available during the week and on weekends and work from home so I can be flexible to suit you needs. I walk every day and I love being outdoors in the fresh air. I also have a car so can collect your dogs or pop over for company/toilet breaks or for a walk. About: We have had animals in our past homes for 20 years me and my husband been together 22 years and also handled puppies whilst one of mine was in labour so I had a lot of experience with dogs of all different breeds.Before Dog boarding I used to look after friends and family’s dogs whilst they were away and took the leap to join officially through rover. I have a papillon now called Harvey and he likes to play has lots of fun to play with other dogs big or small , dogs seem to love coming to mine has its going from home to home without the upset or pining for there owners while they are away , they have way too much fun with toys and walks around the woods that’s backed onto me. Start the day by letting the dogs out, feeding them, and having breakfast. After that, take them for a good morning walk so they can get some exercise and explore. Once you're home, spend some time playing with them, whether it's fetch, tug, training, or games in the garden. While they rest, you can do your household jobs, relax, or enjoy a hobby. Later in the day, have lunch and enjoy some quiet time together. In the afternoon, give the dogs another play session or some enrichment, such as puzzle toys or scent games, followed by a shorter walk. In the evening, feed the dogs, have your dinner, and spend time relaxing together before taking them out for one final toilet break before bed. This keeps them active, happy, and settled throughout the day. I have quite a big garden. Patio and artificial grass which is fenced off. Very Secure Garden lots of room to play around there and squeaky toys and balls and beds to sunbathe 😜
About: I have grown up around animals and have owned a variety. I’ve had the likes of dogs, hamsters and guinea pigs just to name a few. Most recently I have owned a pug and currently live with a golden retriever. I have a lot of knowledge about flat faced breeds and know how to best care for them. Equally I have a lot of knowledge around other breeds particularly smaller ones. I have looked after friends and my families dogs when they have gone away. I have the ability to go to their houses so that their dogs stay in their own environment that’s familiar. I have also had dogs come and stay with me too. I regularly look after my friends dog when she goes to work making sure that her dog is well looked after. I have a lot of free time at the moment being in between jobs so am very flexible with my availability. I will work around what’s best for you and your pet. I will care for your pet as if it was my own. At my house dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the beds so they can have a proper cuddle. I have three beds in the house with room for their own bed if required. I have a fully enclosed garden with a 7ft fence. I also have an open field across the road and a woodlands the other side with running water. I will make sure to feed your dog as many times as needed throughout the time they are with me. There are two fresh water bowls throughout the house and one in the back garden as well so that there is always access to water. I usually keep my back door open throughout the summer time so that Olive (my friends dog) can go in and out when she pleases, as well as her swimming pool under the shade of a giant canopy. If you would like me to sit in your own home I will treat it with the upmost respect. I like to keep things clean and tidy and will leave your home as I came into it. Leave no trace.

About: I've have looked after dogs all my life, I've grown up with them since I was little. I have a working cocker Spaniel called goose. I have complex experience from my last dog who suffered with hip dysplasia, seizures and dietary needs, I managed most of his life untill he passed away wagging his tail. About: I have a wealth of experience in the animal industry. I studied Animal Management (level 3 diploma) and am currently studying Veterinary Physiotherapy at university. About: I have been around dogs ever since I was a baby. My nan cared for retired guide dogs for around 20 years, so I developed a strong love and adoration for dogs. My family has owned 2 dogs since I was a child, sadly our last dog passed away 2 years ago and my family and I have felt like a part of us has been missing ever since. No dog could replace our sweet Lionel, he was the most special dog ever, but I decided to start up a dog boarding business as a way to still surround us with dogs. I have looked after friends and family’s dogs many times as favours before I started my business and that’s what really pushed me to have the confidence to do this as a job. If you choose to have me as your dog boarder, you can be assured that your dog will be treated like family and will be given so much love and care. I am available everyday of the week as this is my sole job. I do volunteer most mornings of the week, however I live in a house of 6 people so it is very rare that no one is home. I am fully licensed by Southampton City Council, so my house and garden have been completely approved and catered to suit dog boarding. I also have a Canine First Aid certification, full insurance and DBS checked.

We break the day up with games in the garden, like fetch, tug or find-it, and are always available for cuddles. We're happy to adapt to your dogs energy and requirements. Qi was quick to contact me when he appeared to have a limp and was reluctant to go down the stairs but after letting her know that Archie was in fact putting on the limp for attention, she was put at ease. I left Archie with Qi on bonfire night and she was brilliant in comforting him with the loud noises. We had a few laughs about Archie's antics for attention and Qi sent some lovely pictures of Archie with herself and her husband. When I collected Archie, it was clear that he had been very happy with Qi and her husband and they expressed how much they had loved having him to stay.
