My house has: - Floor for paws anti-slip flooring and carpet throughout. - A fenced garden with a locked back gate. - A sofa and bed dogs are allowed on. - A dog gate by the front door which is always closed when the front door is opened. 🐕 Why Greyhounds & Sighthounds? Greyhounds, whippets, lurchers and other sighthounds are incredibly special dogs. I understand their love of routine, their sensitive nature, their need for secure environments, and their talent for turning into professional couch potatoes after a walk! For now, these are the only dog breeds I will accept. 📸 Regular Updates I know how much you miss your dog when apart, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay, giving you complete peace of mind. Walks are at lunchtime however if open to an early mornings (6am) then Forest adventures are available for dogs who enjoy them! I am usually in the office on Tuesdays and occasionally Thursdays. Any bookings on these days will be discussed with you in as much notice as possible however these days occasionally change. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a calm, caring, dog-friendly home where dogs are treated like family. I take time to understand each dog’s routine and needs, tailoring my care to what suits them and you. This is something I would want to discuss before care begins to ensure everyone is happy.

“As first time users of any service through Rover, we were initially a tad anxious of dropping off our pup off for a day care session with someone else, but we found that soon went away with Amy’s attention to detail with her care and all the information and support she provided us before the trip. The drop off at her house was straightforward and very safe, with one of her pups even greeting us that helped put our pup at ease! She updated us with pictures and details of her stay throughout the day and it was lovely to see our pup having a great time away from home! I know Betsy can’t wait to come up and see Amy, Honey and the rest of the family again soon!”

About: Hi there, I am Lisa. My wife and I work from home and we would love to have your lovely dog come stay with us! We currently have a gorgeous 2y old black miniature poodle boy (neutered) who is very friendly and easy-going. I also had another dog previously from puppy to 15 y old, so I am an experienced owner and comfortable with all sizes, breeds and personalities! We know how important it is to find someone local you can trust - we hope we can be those people for you and will care for your pet as if they are our own, with plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles and regular photo updates. Happy to meet before and see how we get on! With our dog we do a big walk in the morning and late-afternoon/evening at one of our dogs many favourite spots - the park, forest or seaside. Our poodle loves the water so a swim is definitely on the cards for a hot day! Then they can cuddle up while we both work at home usually. We break the day up with games in the garden, like fetch, tug or find-it, and are always available for cuddles. We're happy to adapt to your dogs energy and requirements. We have a decent sized bungalow with a big garden and secure fence. Your dog can make themselves comfortable wherever they fancy and we will always keep an eye on them while they are settling in.

I live in the New Forest and only a 15 minute drive from the beach. So Forest and beach walks available, as well as local pootles around the local area. I have plenty of room in the house for snoozing and plenty of room in my heart for cuddles. Driver, no points on licence. Non smoker and drinker. I’m self employed and primarily work from home. With the odd day in the office - I would not consider taking a dog on, on the days I’m in the office. I walk every day and look forward to welcoming a 4-legged friend along for the journey. Interesting walks, exploring and fun. I have a secure garden, enclosed by a 6ft fence and locked gate. Your dog will be given the space to make my home, theirs, for the time they’re with me. About: I’m new to Rover, but I’m not new to caring for dogs. I’ve had dogs in my life for 44 years and currently care for my own elderly dogs (Oscar (15) & Lucy (16)), both of whom have needed a lot of patience, routine and gentle handling as they’ve got older. Through them, I’ve gained real experience with senior dog care, sight loss, reduced hearing, medication routines, mobility issues, and understanding when a dog needs calm reassurance rather than too much fuss. I’ve also looked after puppies & dogs for friends and family, and I’m very comfortable following each dog’s normal routine closely. I know how important the little details are, from feeding times and medication to favourite blankies & toys, walking habits, nervous behaviours and the small things that help a dog feel calm and settled. I don’t think there’s anything quite like a dog. They are funny, loyal, gentle, soulful little creatures who somehow make the world feel better just by being in it. I genuinely believe dogs are one of the best things in life, and caring for them properly is something I take seriously. I work from home Monday to Friday and have a flexible schedule, so I’m around throughout the day for company, toilet breaks, feeding routines, walks and plenty of attention. I’m used to planning my day around dogs and their routines, including set meal times, medication needs, rest time and comfort. Walks can be fitted around my working day, including during my breaks or any walking meetings I have with my team. I am currently offering boarding in my own home, as my own dogs have a calm, steady routine and I’m always close by. I care for dogs in my own home, where I keep things calm, safe and settled. I have two elderly dogs myself, so my home is already built around a gentle routine, quiet care and close supervision. They mostly sleep now and are used to being around dogs from friends and family, including younger dogs, so the house is calm rather than busy. I’m very mindful of helping dogs feel comfortable, especially if they are older, nervous, have medical needs, or simply need a little time to settle in. I will always follow your instructions closely, including feeding routines, medication, walks, toilet breaks, sleeping arrangements and any house rules or quirks your dog may have. Every dog is different, so I’d want to understand what makes them feel safe and happy before they stay. Dogs in my care would have plenty of company throughout the day, as I work from home and am always around. They would not be left alone for long, usually no more than around 15 minutes if I needed to pop to the local shop.

About: Ive looked after Friends and familys dogs im a full time dad and have lot of spare time and enjoy going for dog walks as im home all the time I’m a proud single dad to two wonderful girls and a loving Staffie cross, and dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. About: I have grown up around animals and have owned a variety. I’ve had the likes of dogs, hamsters and guinea pigs just to name a few. Most recently I have owned a pug and currently live with a golden retriever. I have a lot of knowledge about flat faced breeds and know how to best care for them. Equally I have a lot of knowledge around other breeds particularly smaller ones. I have looked after friends and my families dogs when they have gone away. I have the ability to go to their houses so that their dogs stay in their own environment that’s familiar. I have also had dogs come and stay with me too. I regularly look after my friends dog when she goes to work making sure that her dog is well looked after. I have a lot of free time at the moment being in between jobs so am very flexible with my availability. I will work around what’s best for you and your pet. I will care for your pet as if it was my own. At my house dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the beds so they can have a proper cuddle. I have three beds in the house with room for their own bed if required. I have a fully enclosed garden with a 7ft fence. I also have an open field across the road and a woodlands the other side with running water. I will make sure to feed your dog as many times as needed throughout the time they are with me. There are two fresh water bowls throughout the house and one in the back garden as well so that there is always access to water. I usually keep my back door open throughout the summer time so that Olive (my friends dog) can go in and out when she pleases, as well as her swimming pool under the shade of a giant canopy. If you would like me to sit in your own home I will treat it with the upmost respect. I like to keep things clean and tidy and will leave your home as I came into it. Leave no trace.

About: I have been a dog owner since childhood, some 40+ years. Dogs of all shapes and sizes. Ranging from a Jack Russell to a Great Dane. Having lost our Ellie some months ago, I have a huge hole to fill. Knowing how hard it is to find sitters that can give them the love and attention they need while their mummy's and daddy's are away. I can offer a loving, comfortable home where they will be the centre of attention with lots of cuddles on the sofa, playtime and walks. I have just given up my job to make dog sitting my main priority. So they will have company the whole time they are with us. I have a fully fenced medium size garden. They will have access to the whole downstairs during the day. And may sleep upstairs at night if they prefer. Lots of parks nearby for walks.

They looked after him like he was their own and sent me so many photos and videos of him having the best time. Rory has some trouble with reactivity and resource guarding but they listened to my instructions attentively and followed them perfectly. I couldn't have found a better sitter for him! Accepted at such late notice too which I really appreciated. I will definitely be booking with them again.”
