Doggie heaven, large house with friendly people and dog, huge garden and park for walks right next door. Took our Jack Russell in for the day at short notice and didn’t mind a late pickup.

Jessica looked after Oscar for the day for us at very short notice. We got several photo updates through the day and could see that he was settled and at ease. His calm behaviour when he came home showed us that he was not at all stressed. Thank you Jessica.

About: I would love to look after your dog, I live in a fun loving family home with our dog Shelby. I have owned dogs since I was a small child and trained them from puppies. All my immediate family own dogs. When looking after your dog I will take them for two at least one hour walks per day. I have a responsible attitude towards caring for your pet and am not scared to get stuck in. I will ensure there is a safe environment for your pet and make it feel welcome and at home in my house. I’m currently working from home studying so I have plenty of time to play with and walk your dogs. This means I’m around all day so your pets will not be left on their own. I have a fenced garden and will let your dog out on a lead to make sure they are safe and can’t escape. My friendly dog Shelby will be sure to keep them company. We have a crate if which can be used if necessary.

Excellent! Jacqueline and her husband are lovely. She is an excellent communicator. My dog had a great time, she was walked loads, fussed over, cuddled and cared for so well. Jacqueline’s home is beautiful, lovely garden, and lives near lots of open spaces for long walks. Really happy we met her and Duchess has a new Auntie!

Jenny was a superb sitter for my dog. She understands Shiba Inu and I can recommend her to anyone who has this breed or rare one who has slightly different temperament from majority. She spared her time to meet and greet with us beforehand which helped enormously for my dog to settle there and for me to go through all details that I hoped to inform. On the day, my dog just knew where she was and looked happy on series of photos Jenny sent. Will come back, I am sure.

About: I’ve been walking dogs since I was 14, starting by helping an elderly lady with her dogs. That experience taught me how important patience, reliability, and understanding each dog’s individual needs are. I also have my own Pomeranians, so I’m used to caring for high maintenance breeds that require plenty of attention, grooming, and exercise. (My dogs will not be there whilst looking after yours) Looking after my own dogs has given me hands on experience with different personalities, routines, and care requirements. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll, an energetic walk, or simply providing lots of love and attention, I’m committed to giving every pet the best possible care. As a teacher, I’m available to walk dogs on weekends throughout the year. During school holidays and half terms, which are frequent, I have much more flexibility and am available for dog sitting, drop in visits, and longer periods of care while you’re away. This means your pet can enjoy plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship during your holiday bookings, giving you peace of mind that they’re in safe and caring hands. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I’ve recently bought my own home, which has a secure, fully fenced garden with plenty of space for dogs to run around, play, and go to the toilet safely. Inside, my home is clean, calm, and welcoming, with plenty of room for pets to relax. During warmer weather, the house stays nice and cool, helping to keep dogs comfortable and prevent them from overheating. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and lots of love and attention, so they feel happy and at home while they’re with me. If your pet is more comfortable in familiar surroundings, I’m also happy to pet sit in your home, ensuring they can stick to their usual routine while receiving the same loving, reliable care.

Chloe (and Don) are fabulous! Chloe instantly filled us with confidence that she was going to take care of our dog and she did! Totally relaxed and they did a great walk at lunchtime. Don is such a lovely dog too. There were plenty of updates throughout the day which was perfect. Thank you Chloe and Don!

About: I've been around animals for most of my life and have a real passion for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I live on a working farm with private dog walking fields that we rent out, so l'm fortunate to have access to a safe, spacious countryside environment where dogs can enjoy plenty of exercise and enrichment. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well looked after. My brother is a veterinarian, so l've grown up with a strong awareness of animal health and welfare. My partner is a farmer, which means caring for animals is part of our everyday life. Whether your dog enjoys energetic walks, playing fetch, or taking time to sniff and explore, I'll tailor each walk to suit their individual needs. My goal is to make every walk safe, enjoyable, and something your dog looks forward to. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I have plenty of flexibility during weekday daytime hours to provide reliable, unhurried walks. I only offer services on weekdays, allowing me to give each dog my full attention without feeling rushed Living on a farm means I have easy access to our private dog walking fields, giving dogs plenty of space to enjoy their walks in a peaceful countryside setting. I always. take the time to get to know each dog's personality and routine, ensuring every walk is tailored to their individual needs. My priority is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience, so you can feel confident your dog is in caring and capable hands while you're busy. Your dog's safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. During walks, they'll enjoy our private farm dog walking fields, which provide a secure, spacious environment with plenty to explore, including open fields, natural areas, and access to a river where appropriate and with your permission. Every walk is tailored to your dog's age, energy level, and individual needs. I'll always follow your instructions regarding leads, recall, treats, and any specific routines or requirements to make sure your dog is happy and comfortable. For drop-in visits, I'll make sure your dog has fresh water, attention, playtime, toilet breaks, and plenty of affection while you're away. I understand that trust is important when caring for someone's pet, and I'll always treat your dog with the same care and respect I'd give my own. Regular updates and photos can also be provided, so you know your dog is happy and in safe hands.

This was Nellie’s second stay with Mollie-Mae and I had no hesitation at all in rebooking. Nellie immediately recognised her and went off without hesitation. She had a brilliant day with a long, off lead walk and I wasn’t at all worried about her. They ended the day with Nellie sunk into Mollie-Mae’s lap, chilling with a head massage. Gutted because she never snuggles with me! 😂

There are 1,078 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Winchester. About 87% of Winchester sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Winchester commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
