Jenny was a superb sitter for my dog. She understands Shiba Inu and I can recommend her to anyone who has this breed or rare one who has slightly different temperament from majority. She spared her time to meet and greet with us beforehand which helped enormously for my dog to settle there and for me to go through all details that I hoped to inform. On the day, my dog just knew where she was and looked happy on series of photos Jenny sent. Will come back, I am sure.

Jess looked after our little boy, Biscuit, for a couple of days whilst we were away. She was amazing, and judging by how tired/chilled he was when we came home in the evening, he clearly had the best time. Jess kindly gave up some time to meet us prior to the daycare which was really appreciated and meant Biscuit was excited to his new friend again from the very first morning of daycare. We won’t hesitate to use Jess again!

David looked after my Portuguese Water Dog for two days and did an excellent job. He kept me updated with messages and photos. Cooper came home happy, relaxed and clearly well cared for. David was professional, reliable and made Cooper feel comfortable from the start. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Cooper with him again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you, David!

Babs was brilliant with Reggie. Her communication was great and she responded so quickly to our request. She also arranged a little meet up before hand so reggie could be introduced to her and her dogs. He had the best time there for doggy day care! Would 100% recommend her to a friend as reggie felt right at home ?

About: I have 2 female labradors in the house (5 years and her daughter 1 year). I have bred a litter and so am experienced looking after young puppies. I’m retired, so I’m in the house most of the day. My dogs get taken on safe enclosed walks an hour long each day. I have a big house/garden for the dogs to relax and play in. I’m up around 8am and go for an hours walk with the dogs around 9-10am Pottering around the garden during the day Afternoon walk with the dogs (hot weather depending, else it’s a walk after 9pm) I’m retired and so lots of time can be spent with the dogs. I have a large fenced garden and 2 lovely tempered female Labradors (5 and 1) I’ll treat your pet like my own and they will have full roaming of garden and house I have stair gates, if you prefer your dogs to stay downstairs

About: I would love to look after your dog, I live in a fun loving family home with our dog Shelby. I have owned dogs since I was a small child and trained them from puppies. All my immediate family own dogs. When looking after your dog I will take them for two at least one hour walks per day. I have a responsible attitude towards caring for your pet and am not scared to get stuck in. I will ensure there is a safe environment for your pet and make it feel welcome and at home in my house. I’m currently working from home studying so I have plenty of time to play with and walk your dogs. This means I’m around all day so your pets will not be left on their own. I have a fenced garden and will let your dog out on a lead to make sure they are safe and can’t escape. My friendly dog Shelby will be sure to keep them company. We have a crate if which can be used if necessary.

About: I’ve always loved dogs and dreamed of having one of my own, so getting my first dog at 22 was very special to me. My family’s much-loved Black Labrador is now 9, and although I’ve lived on my own for the past three years, I still look after him regularly. I’m very involved in his care, from long, adventurous walks in the New Forest to grooming and administering his medication. Since then, I’ve also had the pleasure of looking after numerous dogs for friends and neighbours, including long walks, day care and multiple overnight stays. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy and cared for while their owners are away. I’m patient, attentive and naturally very caring, and I’m happy to follow each dog’s individual routine - whether that means lots of exercise and play, plenty of cuddles, extra patience with an older dog, or simply being there for company. Your dog would be treated as one of my own, with lots of love, attention and care. I’m currently between jobs, which means I have a very flexible schedule and lots of time to dedicate to caring for your dog. Rather than being left alone for long periods, they can have plenty of company, attention, playtime and regular walks throughout the day. I’m able to tailor my routine around each dog’s individual needs - whether they’re an energetic dog who loves long walks and exploring, a puppy who needs plenty of attention and patience, or an older dog who prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles. I’m also very happy to maintain their usual feeding, walking and medication routines so they feel as comfortable and settled as possible while you’re away. I genuinely enjoy having dogs around and would love the opportunity to give your dog a fun, loving and relaxed day while you’re busy or away. 🐾❤️ I live in a comfortable house with a secure, fully fenced garden, giving dogs a safe space to enjoy some fresh air and stretch their legs without needing to leave the garden. The house is pet-free, so your dog can have my full attention without having to share their space with other animals. I take security seriously, particularly when caring for a dog that isn’t my own. I have a Ring doorbell for added security and peace of mind, and I’m careful about keeping doors and gates secure at all times. Before your dog stays with me, I’d make sure I understand their routine, any house rules and anything they may need extra care with. I’m also very happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so you can see where your dog will be staying and we can make sure we’re all comfortable before their booking.

About: Dogs have always played a central role in my life. Having grown up with canine companions, I would gladly have a pack of my own right now if my current schedule allowed it. Since my job involves a mix of remote work and occasional travel, caring for your dogs in the meantime is the absolute next best thing! Over the years, I have gained hands-on experience looking after a wide variety of breeds and sizes, ranging from larger dogs like German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers to smaller or more energetic breeds like Corgis, Cocker Spaniels, Staffies, Cockapoos, and Italian Greyhounds. Because I am home-based for the majority of my work week, your furry family members will have constant company and supervision if you book boarding or doggy daycare. I can also easily adapt my schedule to accommodate flexible dog walking arrangements. Before any stay begins, I always prefer to arrange an initial meet-and-greet so you can visit, check out the space, and feel completely confident about where your pet will be staying. You can count on me to keep your dogs happy, comfortable, and well-cared for, and I will always follow up with plenty of photo updates to give you peace of mind while you are away ! I'm up around 7:30am and go for an hours walk with the dogs around 9-10am Pottering around the garden/working from home during the day. Afternoon walk with the dogs (weather depending, or else it's a walk after 9pm) Your pet will enjoy all the comforts of home, featuring a large fenced garden and two friendly female Labradors (1 and 5 years old). They will have full run of the downstairs areas and outdoor space to play and settle in

About: I’ve taken care of over 30 cats and 5 dogs back home, getting to know each of their personalities, routines and little quirks. I’m comfortable with feeding, playing, keeping them company and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m especially experienced with cats, but I absolutely love dogs too! I’m patient, attentive and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I always treat every pet as an individual and make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime and love. 🐾💕 I’m currently not working, so I have plenty of flexibility and availability for pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting throughout the week, as well as weekends. I can be flexible with timings, most of the time my partner comes with me to the visits and will always make sure I have enough time to give your pet plenty of attention, playtime and care. 🐾💗 Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime and any specific instructions you provide. I’m patient and attentive, and I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe and cared for while you’re away. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind.

Molly-Mae responded to our last-minute booking quickly. Thanks to her, we were able to make the trip to the Peppa pig world with the family. The doggies seem to enjoy their stay with Molly-Mae. She sent us lots of photos of the doggies to keep us updated throughout the day. Much appreciated. Would recommend Molly-Mae to everyone.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,061 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Winchester. About 87% of Winchester sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Winchester commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
