I have volunteered for Bluecross Rehoming Centre in Southampton for 4 years and go every Sunday to sit with the cats in their care and I also foster cats waiting for their forever homes. I have looked after friends cats and dogs for many years and often walk friends dogs on the common which is near to me, a walk with a dog is always more fun. I am making pet care my full time job, so I can work around your schedule. I can provide boarding at weekends too if needed. I have a secure garden which your dog would have unlimited access to, when caring for your pet in your home I will follow your routine as closely as possible.

About: I’ve been caring for cats since I was 8 years old, when I got my first cat, and I’ve been a hands-on, responsible owner ever since. I cared for her throughout her entire life until she passed away from old age two years ago, managing all aspects of her daily care myself. This included feeding, maintaining a clean litter box (scooped twice daily), bathing when needed, especially as she became less able to groom herself—regular grooming, nail trimming, and monitoring her overall health. I also took her to the vet regularly for check-ups, so I’m very comfortable recognising changes in behaviour, appetite, or routine that may signal a health concern. I’m currently the owner of a 5 month old kitten named Leo, so I’m very familiar with kitten energy levels, play needs, feeding schedules, and gentle handling. Between senior cat care and kitten care, I’m confident caring for cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. Furthermore, I also have extensive experience caring for dogs. My family has had a Bernese Mountain Dog for the past 8 years, who lives with my parents back home. I’ve been involved in his care since he was a puppy, including feeding, walking, basic training, grooming, and general day-to-day care. Being a large-breed dog, he has also given me experience handling bigger dogs calmly and confidently. In addition to caring for my own pets, I also have hands-on experience working with shelter animals. During my teenage years, I volunteered at animal shelters, and after graduating high school, I took a gap year before university to work in a veterinary shelter. During this time, I cared for stray dogs and cats, assisted with daily husbandry, administered medications, supported vaccination routines, and helped monitor animals recovering from illness or procedures. I also had the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians, including shadowing and assisting in surgery rooms, which has given me valuable experience handling animals calmly and safely in medical settings. I’m a university student with a very flexible schedule. I only need to be on campus for lectures around 2–3 times per week, usually for a few hours at a time. Outside of that, I’m home most of the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, and supervision. I’m naturally quite introverted and enjoy spending time at home, which means I’m well-suited to providing a calm, stable environment and sticking closely to your cat’s normal routine. Your pet’s comfort and wellbeing are my top priorities. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you provide, including special feeding schedules, medication administration, grooming routines, and play preferences. I’ll make sure your cat feels safe, cared for, and relaxed, and I’m always attentive to their behaviour and mood. I also understand how important peace of mind is for owners, so I’m very happy to send regular photo and video updates to keep you reassured while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to maintain their routine as closely as possible so they feel secure and comfortable in my care. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain their usual routine. My background working in veterinary shelters and alongside vets has made me very attentive to hygiene, safety, and recognising early signs of stress or illness, and I always prioritise your pet’s comfort and wellbeing.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. Back home in Malaysia, I have an 8-year old dachshund called Rico, and before him I had a Belgian Shepherd named Max who lived to the incredible age of 17 and a 15 year old cocker spaniel Lucy :). Raising Max from an energetic, high-drive breed into his senior years gave me experience with everything from structured exercise and training to adapting care for an older dog who needed a gentler pace and extra attention. Rico, with all his dachshund personality, has taught me patience, consistency and the importance of routine. I’m now based in the UK and really miss being around dogs, which is why I’ve started dog sitting. I’m currently studying medicine, so I’m responsible, organised and used to balancing commitments carefully. I absolutely love dogs, so your pet would be in a calm, caring home environment with plenty of attention. I’m also very active and love going on runs and long walks by the port, so I’m more than happy to take energetic dogs out for proper exercise. At the same time, I’m equally comfortable with older dogs who prefer slower strolls and quiet companionship. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own making sure they feel safe, loved and well cared for while you’re away. I am a student at the university so have plenty of time to play with your dogs :) I am free everyday of the week and have quite a flexible schedule. I have a 2 bed 2 bath apartment that comes with a fenced garden for dogs! I also live near ocean village and a small park and i can your dog for walks in.

While I have a special place in my heart for Dachshunds, (I'm the proud owner of a very well behaved & well socialised miniature dachshund named Mellow!) I welcome ALL breeds! My home boasts a large dog friendly living space and secure garden, with walks to either Southampton Common or St James Park (just 5mins away on foot) come rain or shine! ​As I work from home full-time in an administrative role, I am happy to offer consistent care and near-constant companionship seven days a week! Your dog gets maximum attention during the week (Monday–Thursday). (Please note that all walks and drop in visits are solo sessions with me) ​On Fridays and weekends, my three-year-old daughter is home, but please rest assured this won't compromise care. She was only 10 months old when Melo had her first litter and is very well-versed in dog boundaries. She is generally quite self-occupied with non-dog activities and is never left unsupervised around guests. We are generally homebodies, which means lots of company for your pup, but I may occasionally require flexibility on Friday/weekend bookings due to family outings. Our home is a large, safe space that's fully "dachshund-proofed". Our generously sized secure garden is a safe place for exercise and enrichment games. ​If your dog comes to us, he/she will be welcomed by our resident Miniature Dachshund, Mellow, who is calm, playful, and very well socialized. While she sleeps a lot, having a friendly guest to share the fun with is a welcome treat! We are committed to providing exceptional care and safety exclusively for your long-bodied friend. About: I have been a dog owner since childhood, some 40+ years. Dogs of all shapes and sizes. Ranging from a Jack Russell to a Great Dane. Having lost our Ellie some months ago, I have a huge hole to fill. Knowing how hard it is to find sitters that can give them the love and attention they need while their mummy's and daddy's are away. I can offer a loving, comfortable home where they will be the centre of attention with lots of cuddles on the sofa, playtime and walks. I have just given up my job to make dog sitting my main priority. So they will have company the whole time they are with us. I have a fully fenced medium size garden. They will have access to the whole downstairs during the day. And may sleep upstairs at night if they prefer. Lots of parks nearby for walks.
