Lee is a lovely friendly doggy dad, we felt at ease as soon as we met him. Our little lady is getting on a bit now so we don't leave her alone. As we are on holiday, there were a couple of days activities where Belle couldn't join and Lee was an amazing sitter, we would highly recommend Lee and his family to take good care of your fur babies. Thank you Lee 😊

About: I’ve been a dog owner for the last 11 years and absolutely love them to bits. I’m caring, reliable and confident with dogs of all sizes, and I’ll always treat your dog like they’re my own. Whether they need walks, cuddles, playtime or a calm companion, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy and loved. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of time to give your dog the attention, walks and care they need. I’m available for boarding on weekends. I’ll always make sure pets have regular toilet breaks, fresh water, playtime, cuddles and a routine that suits them. I’m also happy to discuss times that work best around your pet’s usual routine. I would care for pets as if they were my own, whether they’re in my home or in their owner’s home. I will always follow the owner’s routine, including feeding times, walks, toilet breaks, medication and any special instructions. I will make sure pets have fresh water, a clean and comfortable environment, lots of attention, and safe supervised care. My own dog is bathed, groomed and well cared for at home, with flea and worming treatment kept up to date, along with his boosters. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away.

Rene kindly accepted to accommodate my dog Toto for the day at very short notice. Toto had a fun day and has got to know Rene and pet Sonny well now. My pick up time was delayed for over 2 hrs due to travel disruption and Rene was so helpful with her flexibility, keeping Toto for longer than planned without any fuss, which relieved further stress for me. Thank you Rene!

About: I’m a nurse working bank shifts alongside my passion for animal care. I’ve owned reactive dogs for many years, so I understand the importance of calm handling, patience, routine and being constantly aware of surroundings while out walking. Early 5am quiet walks, off-the-beaten-track trails and avoiding stressful situations for dogs are something I’m very used to. We are a family home with children, so any dogs staying with us would need to be comfortable around children and a normal family environment. I offer gentle, reliable pet care with daily beach walks, peaceful hikes and a focus on making every dog feel safe, relaxed and happy. No other animals in the home. We only have one boarding dog at a time unless dogs come from the same house hols. I will be sole care for the dog during its stay. 5:00am – Quiet early morning walk 6:00am – Breakfast and calm rest time 8:00am – Garden play, enrichment or sniff games 10:00am – Beach walk or quiet countryside hike 12:00pm – Rest and nap time in the home 2:00pm – Toilet break and gentle play 4:00pm – Short afternoon walk or enrichment activities 6:00pm – Dinner time 7:00pm – Family time, cuddles and settling for the evening 9:00pm – Final toilet break and bedtime Our home has a fully enclosed garden and is just a 5 minute walk from the beach, perfect for calm daily walks and outdoor time. We are a relaxed family home with children, so dogs staying with us would need to be comfortable in a family environment. Your dog would not be left alone for long periods and would be treated as part of the family, with plenty of company, care, exercise and quiet time to settle and relax.

Dogs were very happy after a full day with Pauline. it was a perfect way top ensure the dogs were looked after whilst we were doing sight seeing at 'non dog friendly' sights and gave them a rest after visiting many of hampshires sights. Apologies to Pauline if they got a bit excited and pulled too much, for little cavaliers, when they want, they seem to have a lot of strength.

Hayley is a wonderfully warm person and has made me and my puppy feel incredibly comfortable. My dog turned up everyday thrilled to see Hayley. She is so caring towards my dog and was really flexible with pick up and drop off, which worked perfectly with my working hours. She gave great feedback on the day, sent updates too, which were greatly appreciated. I would recommend Hayley to everyone. Just wonderful. Thank you!

Penny was a dream, when we needed support for George at very short notice.Penny made a very stressful situation much easier by being so easy and quick to communicate with. George has absolutely loved his day care with Penny , and had so many new socialisation experiences like walking on a retractable lead, walking with a dog buddy, playing with her children. He came home very happy and tired , and he seems so much calmer and confident in himself. We couldn't recommend Penny enough.

Ella was amazing! Milo spent two days, Wednesday and Thursday, with Ella. On the second day he was super excited to see her again. I have never left Milo with anyone before and was very nervous about it, but Ella kept me updated throughout the day, which I thought was lovely! Would definitely recommend Ella and the care she provided for my very hectic puppy 🐶 We will definitely be booking with Ella again!

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have grown up around pets, especially dogs. I have my own dog back home, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ve been caring for dogs for many years, helping friends, family, and neighbours with walking, feeding, bathing, and spending quality time with their dogs. I also have a twin brother that loves dogs as much as I do, so your dog will always have someone giving them attention and keeping them busy. We have also volunteered at a dog shelter, where we helped care for dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages and personalities. I’m currently studying at university, and caring for animals is something I truly enjoy alongside my studies. I’m patient, calm, and always make sure dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I treat every dog as if it were my own and always follow the owner’s routine and instructions. Your dog will have the best time with us and will feel like home around us, in a safe, cozy environment. Pet care fits really well into my routine. I’m currently studying at university, which gives me a flexible schedule during the day and evenings. I enjoy spending my free time caring for animals, going on walks, playing, and keeping pets company. I’m happy to adjust to your pet’s routine and make sure they get the time, attention, and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and stick to the pet’s usual routine. I keep a clean, calm, and safe environment and make sure pets are always supervised, especially during walks or playtime. I treat every pet with kindness and patience, making sure they feel secure, relaxed, and well cared for. My brother and I can make sure every pet feels like home!

About: I’ve had dogs (and other pets too!) since I was 2 years old. My family first rescued a tiny puppy called Benji, a little Yorkshire Terrier cross Border Terrier who lived to 18 years old! In 2017 we rescued our 9 year old Jeanie, a Jack Russel cross Corgi who was so full of character, a real little diva, who lived to 17 years old. Whilst I am currently a 2nd year university student studying Criminology, I often visit home where my parents own a lovely (not so little) Golden Labrador named Max, recently rescued at 2 years old - I love going home to take him on long walks in the woods and practice some training! I would love the opportunity to look after/walk your dog, and get to know some new breeds! I have a lot of availability whilst I’m here at university as I luckily don’t have to work, so typically I only have a couple one hour lectures a week - I can fit in walks or drop ins very easily around these ☺️ I live in a flat with my boyfriend of 2 years which unfortunately doesn’t have a garden area, however we do live very close to the beach and a large grassy area where I would walk your doggy :)

John was great with our nervous boy. He won him round with treats and understood he needed to give him time to get used to him. By the time I picked him up he had made himself very much at home. I’d have no hesitation leaving Joey with John again and we have booked him for 10 days boarding at the end of the month.

A lovely service. It was a very warm and glad we took her there and not Osborne House with us. Thank You Jean and Family Thank You Rover for your help. We would do it again. Carol Sanders.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Isle of Wight

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Isle of Wight on Rover is £23 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 796 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Isle of Wight. About 88% of Isle of Wight sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Isle of Wight commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
