“Qi and her husband were absolutely fantastic with my boy Archie. Qi was quick to contact me when he appeared to have a limp and was reluctant to go down the stairs but after letting her know that Archie was in fact putting on the limp for attention, she was put at ease. I left Archie with Qi on bonfire night and she was brilliant in comforting him with the loud noises. We had a few laughs about Archie's antics for attention and Qi sent some lovely pictures of Archie with herself and her husband. When I collected Archie, it was clear that he had been very happy with Qi and her husband and they expressed how much they had loved having him to stay. I will definitely ask Qi and her husband to have Archie again and they have asked to look after him again. Thankyou Qi I am so greatful to you and your husband.”

About: I have grown up around animals and have owned a variety. I’ve had the likes of dogs, hamsters and guinea pigs just to name a few. Most recently I have owned a pug and currently live with a golden retriever. I have a lot of knowledge about flat faced breeds and know how to best care for them. Equally I have a lot of knowledge around other breeds particularly smaller ones. I have looked after friends and my families dogs when they have gone away. I have the ability to go to their houses so that their dogs stay in their own environment that’s familiar. I have also had dogs come and stay with me too. I regularly look after my friends dog when she goes to work making sure that her dog is well looked after. I have a lot of free time at the moment being in between jobs so am very flexible with my availability. I will work around what’s best for you and your pet. I will care for your pet as if it was my own. At my house dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the beds so they can have a proper cuddle. I have three beds in the house with room for their own bed if required. I have a fully enclosed garden with a 7ft fence. I also have an open field across the road and a woodlands the other side with running water. I will make sure to feed your dog as many times as needed throughout the time they are with me. There are two fresh water bowls throughout the house and one in the back garden as well so that there is always access to water. I usually keep my back door open throughout the summer time so that Olive (my friends dog) can go in and out when she pleases, as well as her swimming pool under the shade of a giant canopy. If you would like me to sit in your own home I will treat it with the upmost respect. I like to keep things clean and tidy and will leave your home as I came into it. Leave no trace.
About: I am a qualified dog groomer and work part time in a luxury boarding kennels on Fridays, the other days of the week I work from home doing an admin role and grooming dogs. I have a pet first aid certification which prepares me for emergencies. I was lucky enough to be born into a family with a dog and have adored animals ever since, caring for my own rabbit from the age of 7 and helping to train the family dogs. I have owned my own dog and cared for other dogs as if they were my own. I work from home some days of the week and really enjoy the company of a dog. My house and garden are a decent size and I don’t have any children so your dog will have my full attention. I work from home in an administrative role a few days a week. I also groom dogs in the cabin at the side of my house on some days. Working from home can be a lonely at times which is why I wanted to add more dog sitting to my life. If you have any questions, please reach out! I have a nicely sized grass garden perfect for playing in which is fenced. . I have a crate if needed and can shut the front room door to prevent dogs going upstairs if they need this (young puppies or seniors). I am used to meeting new dogs regularly and learning their own unique behaviours, always taking things at their pace and learning how they feel most comfortable. This experience has come from owning dogs, volunteering at a rescue centre and working with dogs for the past 4 years.
“Thank you so much. Ernie had a fantastic time and Mae sent regular updates and photos. We could see him literally smiling and it was good to know he was happy. He’s very tired now after playing with his new friends. See you soon”

“Romeo had a wonderful time with Lynn. I really appreciated the photos and updates that she sent me. I would highly recommend and would be happy for Romeo to stay with Lynn again.”

About: My partner Jacob and I have both had dogs all our lives. We have had Staffies, boxers, spaniels, cross breeds. You name it! We love dogs. We also love and really advocate for dog training knowledge. We are very safe and responsible dog owners and know a lot about dog body language and behaviour. We will always make sure our day revolves around the dogs! They’ll get plenty of exercise, but we love to play with the dogs too - if they want it! Whether that’s a game of chase, tug, or find it. We love to mentally stimulate dogs as it’s so good for their brain. We love a game of hide and seek. Me and my partner work full time but both have the luxury to work from home. I do 2 days a week and my partner can work from home whenever. My work is very flexible and I live a 10 minute walk (1 minute drive) from my office so can attend to the dogs whenever. I am out in the morning for my exercise and my partner does his in the evening, so one of us is always home with the dog! We love to get out steps in before work and after too, so we always get out with the dogs. We have concrete fenced garden with a secure gate. We have doors inside the house that if we open the front door, we ensure the dogs are kept behind a closed door so they cannot get out. We make sure the dogs have everything they need and easy access. We are very tidy and don’t leave mess around or anything for dogs to chew on etc.
“Secil was amazing! She helped us out with no hesitation during a difficult and stressful situation with another sitter and took such good care of both our cat and dog. It was clear that they were kept with so much love and it eased our minds so much to know that they were in good hands. Absolutely no issues whatsoever and when we picked our pets up Secil was so kind and understanding of everything. Thank you so much! Will definitely be booking with Secil again!”

About: I had a Siberian husky he was a rescue he passed away a year ago he was 13 1/2. I’ve had Cats my life as well rescued from overseas and give them happy loving homes also ride horses and always been a lover of all animals. I work by flexibly and mainly from Home just one day of the week in the office and the office is very local so I can make short trips back to Home. I also honour my bookings but only booking one dog at a time unless they’re a family of pets that way I can give undivided attention to that specific dog or pet. I have a fence garden and I have quiet zones in the house if your fur baby prefers it and can accommodate crates as well
About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always been comfortable caring for them, from daily walks to understanding their individual personalities and needs. I have a friendly 2-year-old cockapoo called Lucho who absolutely loves the company of other dogs - he’s gentle, non-aggressive, and always eager to play, making him a great companion for visiting pups. He makes the shiest dogs feel as ease and at home. I genuinely enjoy getting out for walks and would love to welcome another dog to join us, giving both them and my own dog the chance for fun, exercise, and socialisation. Your dog will be treated with care, attention, and plenty of affection while they’re with me. Lucho is well trained - house trained, comes back on command, does tricks (sit, paw, other paw, beg, lie down, spin, roll over, kiss) - so if your young pup comes around, I can definitely do some training, or expand on any training already being done at home. I work from home - where I have a large garden and lots of toys for dogs to play in. I work 10am-6pm, and have an hour lunch break in-between, so lots of time for long morning walks, and ample opportunities to allow the doggies to do their business out in the garden. I have a fenced garden at home, and dogs have free roam around the house which is mostly dog-proof. I have a super friendly cockapoo who makes even the grumpiest of pooches to get up and play - so he's happy to keep your fur baby company and ease them into my care.
“Xueqian took great care of Megan, she seemed too happy on the photos that I received every day from her daily walks. Excellent communication and quick response. Highly recommended”

“Ellie is so lovely and an amazing dog sitter — caring, reliable, and clearly loves animals. Our dog was so happy and well looked after, and the updates gave us real peace of mind. Would highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my calm, attentive nature and my ability to adapt quickly to each pet’s personality and needs. I take the time to understand their routine, behavior, and preferences to ensure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I have experience with: Training young puppies, including crate training, leash manners, and basic commands using positive reinforcement. Senior pet care, such as administering oral medication, helping with mobility issues, and maintaining a quiet, supportive environment. I'm also tech-savvy, so I provide regular updates with photos and videos, giving pet parents peace of mind while they're away. Whether your pet needs playful energy or gentle companionship, I adjust to match their pace and make their well-being my top priority. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I work part-time and am self-employed, which gives me the flexibility to plan my schedule around the pets I look after. This means I can offer consistent care, stick to their routines, and spend quality time with them—whether it’s for feeding, play, medication, or just keeping them company. When caring for pets in a pet owner's home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to keep them relaxed and stress-free. I follow all feeding schedules, administer medication if needed, clean litter trays or pet areas, and spend quality time giving them attention, play, or quiet companionship—depending on what they enjoy.
“Jennie was brilliant. Her communication was excellent throughout, she took great care of Max and Cara and they arrived home very happy and relaxed, which says it all. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!”

“We were very nervous of leaving our 2 year old lab and Chelcey was great at reassuring us. Through the stay we were sent regular updates and you could tell everyone was having fun and that Chelcey has a genuine love of dogs. Obi was wagging his tail like crazy in all of the videos and he became good pals with Nellie (Chelcey’s dog). Chelcey was professional from the outset - arranging an initial meet to make sure that the dogs got on and asking questions about diet and any rules that we wanted such as not getting on furniture. We were able to relax over our break in the knowledge that Obi was well looked after and happy. I would definitely use Chelcey again.”

“Charlotte was so great with Albie - we will be rebooking again! Albie was really well looked after and loved his time with Charlotte, who is a caring, kind and friendly individual! Thanks Charlotte!”

Philip has given our 8 month old Spaniel, Olive, the most amazing week of love, care and attention! Leaving your dog with a stranger is daunting and we'd never left Olive before. It was a first for us and we couldn't have wished for a better person!!! Olive & I met Philip for a meet & greet, I knew immediately that he was perfect. His two Dachshunds are adorable and so well cared for. I thought Olive might be too lively for them, but they're so calm and weren't worried about her at all. I left feeling confident that Olive would be in safe hands. Philip is super responsive with messages. He put our mind at rest the first morning, sending pictures of Olive looking very much at home. Throughout the week we received regular messages, fantastic photos and videos. Olive was treated to some great trips out for brilliant walks and exercise - she looked so happy we didn't think she'd want to come home! We will definitely use Philip again and can't recommend him enough. You won't find a more able or caring person!
Shadia took great care of our fluffy child, Maya, for her first night away with someone who wasn't a family member. We were also able to meet up the week before Maya went to stay so Maya could also meet Shadia's gorgeous Golden, Skye. Maya had the best time with Skye and we'll be happy to have her stay again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter for Coffee! She was so thoughtful during the hot weather, taking extra precautions and always making sure he was comfortable wherever he chose to relax. The daily updates were amazing, and she was so considerate of his usual routine. Highly recommend!

Cannot thank Wardah enough for taking care of Barley whilst we were away on holiday for a week. She did a meet and greet, provided many updates to us throughout Barleys stay and wasn’t afraid to ask questions. She made Barley feel so welcome and I couldn’t be more grateful to her and her partner for welcoming him into their home. Barley was super cuddly with her and he rarely is that type of dog so it was lovely to see! He clearly had the best time. She also understood Barleys quirks and managed them really well. Would 10000% book again! Thank you so much ☺️

Amanda has been the most amazing pet sitter to our two dogs. I have never felt this comfortable leaving them with a stranger. Your frequent updates made us feel soo comfortable. She worked out their quirks in less than a day and when I fetch them I could see Amanda already formed a bond with them. Amanda is definitely my first choice sitter 💛

Gussoon is absolutely amazing. Our Georgie is a little bit unsure of new people and Gussoon made sure to take her time in getting to know her. The next time we brought Georgie over, she was so excited to go there! She makes such an effort to ensure Georgie has a good time. Could not recommend her enough!! ❤️ Thank you Gussoon!

Katie was amazing with our dog Barney! Her house is lovely and plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Barney had the best time and we would happily leave him with Katie again. She kept us updated regularly with messages, photos and videos. Thank you so much Katie :)

We were very happy with the care Sydney took with our elderly Duke. From the start communication was excellent and she sent us several updates of how he was doing during his stay. We felt Duke was extremely well looked after by Sydney (and her sister!) and we would not hesitate to leave him with her again in the future.
We’re so happy we found Charli. She was fantastic with Sammy, who came back a very happy pup! She responded quickly to our last-minute booking, and the whole process was easy. When we dropped Sammy off, she invited us in, asked all the relevant questions, and we felt immediately reassured. We’ll definitely be booking with Charlie again and highly recommend her.

Secil was amazing! Will definitely be booking with Secil again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
