About: I’ve taken care of my dogs and cat in the past. Since moving to England I could not yet have my own pet, therefore I enjoy spending time my friends’s and family’s pets :) I am currently working full time from home and could be available before work, during lunch break, after work and for home stays during a day. P Meeting feeding and walk schedules, play sessions, plenty of attention, ensuring that home remains secure - whilst home sitting I can also look after the plants :)
“It was our first time using Rover and so glad we did. Jamie was a great communicator and took care of Ponyo with love. Lots of walkies and the live updates put us at ease. Very thankful, would definitely recommend Jamie :)”

“A lovely, warming and caring family who made us at ease from the first contact. Lots of photos and regular updates on our pooch. So very glad to have had our Charlie stay with Yana and her family.”

“Its the 1st time my 2 dogs have stayed with Mark. They settled in really well. Mark sent photos during their stay which is always reassuring. He would look after Shelley and Charlie again. I will have no problem in booking with Mark again.”

“A wonderful family who took great care of Doris like she was their own. She didn't want to leave when I came to pick her up! I wouldn't hesitate to book Rhiannon again in the future.”

“I was really happy with Preston looking after my dog Peanut. He was really flexible and accommodating of everything I needed and I could tell he really took care of her. I had regular updates where Peanut looked like she was having fun. I would be happy to book again with Preston.”

“Charlie was sad to leave when I picked him up and that that says it all! I got regular updates of Charlie was up to whilst I was working and they kept him entertained. Definitely would ask Maria and the family to look after him in a heartbeat.”

About: I’ve grown up with and had dogs my whole life. I love being in their company on walks and seeing the joy it brings them. I’ve had Otis since he was a puppy, trained him well and look forward to him making new friends! I’m currently working part time, available Mondays, Thursdays and Weekends! I walk Otis twice a day around local woods, shoreline and large playing fields. I have a fenced in garden, 1 dog Otis who has access to most rooms and the garden. We play treat games for stimulation and have quiet time for naps.

“Emily looked after our cockapoo, Kevin, and took such great care of him! We cannot thank Emily enough for looking after him so well and providing regular updates with photos. We would not hesitate to book again!”

“Asya and her husband took fantastic care of Nala and I can't thank them enough! They had her for 8 days and sent lots of updates and pictures. They were really understanding and patient with Nala's initial timid temperament and made her feel comfortable and at home. I felt completely confident and assured that she was having the best care taken of her; I will definitely be booking again. Just wonderful 😊”

“Teodora has been amazing. We first met her at her house where she showed us around and the dogs felt at home almost immediately. They stayed over for a long weekend during which we had daily updates with pictures and videos. They came home relaxed and I can definitely tell they had a great time. She is very experienced and good with communication. She can easily accommodate and respect the needs of the dogs. We are booking another longer stay with her and know that, with her, we can go on holidays worry free.”

“cookie enjoyed her stay and natalie's she loved every minute of it from the long walks to the late night cuddles will definitely be staying in contact with her and using her again in the future brilliant service and great price and always sent photos and sent me updates on how cookie was doing thank you so much lovely was an amazing time away and cookie also had an amazing mini holiday tooo ☺️”

About: I have very recently lost my beautiful dog Rufus at the grand old age of 16 years and 9 months. From picking him up at 8 weeks to saying our last goodbye, I guided and supported him through puppy training and recognising his additional needs as he grew old. He brought me joy and unconditional love. He was family and loved more than words can say. As well as taking care of him, I have regularly looked after his best mates, Zampa and Sunny and our Grand dogs Woody and Riri. My love for all animals, particularly dogs, defines me as a person. I can't face getting another dog of my own for the foreseeable but the aching emptiness in my heart I feel could be eased by taking care of and loving other fur babies. I currently work just week day mornings between 07.30-10.30 and should this prove successful, I will give up my job and devote to pet care full time. We have a quiet, pet and child free home with a lovely secure garden and two parks within minutes walking distance. Dogs are welcome in every part of the house 🥰
“Ella was the perfect choice for us (& Chello) - she clearly formed a very quick bond with our beloved pooch, sent us regular updates, and returned him happy & well-cared for. We would definitely book her again!”

“This is the first time our cookie has gone to a sitter and Clare was amazing with him. I knew as soon as I met her he was in safe hands. Was sent updates and pictures which was nice and meant we could relax and enjoy our son’s wedding. Thank you Clare”

“My dog is always very excited to see Richard. This was the first time staying over night. I was given up dates during the day and the evening. I'd fully recommended Richard”

“Emily provided a safe, calm environment for Mannie's first ever night away at a dog sitters. She took great care asking questions and Mannie warmed to her and her house instantly. Despite Mannie being a noisy little barky boy and him completely foregoing his toilet training during his first time in a new space, Emily was continuously professional and understanding of dog behaviours and provided excellent care. A lovely pet sitter : )”

Penny looked after Basil overnight it was the first time he had been left. Penny provided updates and photos throughout the whole time which was very nice and appreciated. Basil had a great time and was very happy when I picked him up. Thank you so much for looking after him so well and I would 100% recommend Penny thanks again

Daisy was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. She has so much knowledge of dogs and was totally at ease with my lab as soon as she met him. Daisy rook time to get to know his routines and also took the time to send me updates and pictures of his stay there. Would 100% recommend to friends and family. My dog was super happy and relaxed in her care. Thank you Daisy!!!!

Emily was so lovely and gentle with my dog Mabel. She met us before her overnight stay which instantly put my mind at rest as this was our first time leaving Mabel with anyone. Emily sent me updates and to be honest my gorgeous (nervous) dog was having a ball!. We will most definitely be booking again. Thank you! ☺️

Our cat had an amazing stay with Asya, so much so that I don't think he wanted to leave! Asya sent pictures every day, along with an update of how our cat was doing, which was very reassuring for us. The drop off and pick up were very easy, with Asya being very flexible on time. This was our first Rover booking, and we are glad it was with Asya, she made the whole process feel very easy and safe, and should we need boarding in the future, Asya will be the first person we go to.

Zak had a great time with Emma. She was very aware of the hot weather and made sure he was cool and exercised him when it was cooler. Emma contacted me immediately when Zak had an eye infection and took him to the vet for treatment. Keeping me informed all the time. Emma sent lots of photos of Zak and messages about what he was doing. I would definitely use Emma again to care for Zak.
Aliona and her partner were superb! They looked after Storm so well, we got updates every morning and evening. He was so stressed in a kennel but we came home and after his stay with them so happy. He got walked twice a day, and spent the day playing with them. I couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you so so much.

Kathryn was absolutely wonderful! I couldn’t be happier with the care my senior dog received. Kathryn is kind, friendly, patient and gentle with my dog Katie, which immediately put me at ease. She kept me updated during the stay with lovely pictures, which was reassuring and helped me relax knowing my dog was in good hands. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my dog and took the time to make sure Katie was comfortable, happy and well looked after. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially those looking for someone caring and trustworthy to look after their dog. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent service. First time our two dogs have stayed away from home. Meet & Greet beforehand went well. Jade sent photos while we were away so we were reassured that the dogs were OK. Would definitely use again under the same circumstances hence the 5-star rating. Thanks again!

We couldn’t recommend Hazan, highly enough! Monty stayed for a week while we were on holiday and clearly had the most amazing time. We received lovely photos and updates every morning and evening, showing him out on walks, playing and looking completely at home. They were also incredibly conscientious about a sore paw he had when he arrived, making sure he didn’t lick it too much and keeping a close eye on him. By the time we collected him, his paw was completely better and no longer an issue. They even bought him some extra treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. Monty was clearly very well cared for, happy and thoroughly spoilt throughout his stay. We would 100% use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their dog.

Freya and Polly spent a little time together before her 5 night stay. Freya did a fabulous job looking after our miniature Cockerpoo, who is very fussy and needy in nature. Both Freya and Polly enjoyed each others company and we would not hesitate to recommend Freya for your pooches. Hopefully we will be able to book with her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
