“We couldn’t have been happier leaving Milo with Rene and Rob while we were on holiday! From the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in the best hands. They spoilt him rotten, walked him every day, and gave him so much love and attention. It was clear he was treated as part of the family. Rene always sent pictures and updates which put my mind completely at ease and made me feel so good knowing he was happy and well looked after. We came back to one very happy and content pup! We will absolutely be booking again without hesitation. Thank you both so much! 🐾”

“John was great with Ramba. I was worried due to Ramba’s behavioural issues at home with us but apparently he was an angel John! About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. Growing up with dogs gave me a strong understanding of their behaviour, needs, and personalities, while always having cats has made me confident with independent and more sensitive pets too. I own a nearly 2-year old (*intact male*) Labrador, so am very used to the energy, routine and care that a young dog needs. Over the years, I’ve also looked after and handled family dogs of all sizes and temperaments, so I’m comfortable with everything from energetic walks to calm companionship at home. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every pet as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while they are with me. I work part-time and am mostly based from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility for time with your furry friends. I’m out every day with my own dog, so regular walks are part of my routine. I do have two young children, so there are school runs to factor in, but I’m available for walks, sitting, and check-ins between 9am and 2:30pm most days. I’m also happy to board friendly dogs over weekends, as long as they’re comfortable around other dogs and children. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. At home, I have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can play and explore securely, along with my friendly Labrador who enjoys the company of other dogs. My garden office is open and positioned so I can keep a constant eye on your pet, allowing for regular interaction, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible to help them feel relaxed and settled. I’m respectful of your space, attentive to your pet’s individual needs, and make sure they receive plenty of care, attention, and exercise while you’re away.
“Ella was the perfect choice for us (& Chello) - she clearly formed a very quick bond with our beloved pooch, sent us regular updates, and returned him happy & well-cared for. We would definitely book her again!”

“Mark is lovely and Joey had a good time… Me and my daughter Joey had so much fun in one day …wants to extend his stay 🤭 thank you so much Mark, we definitely recommend… We’ll definitely booking again ☝️”

“This is the first time our cookie has gone to a sitter and Clare was amazing with him. I knew as soon as I met her he was in safe hands. Was sent updates and pictures which was nice and meant we could relax and enjoy our son’s wedding. Thank you Clare”

“Kenji had a brilliant time with Teodora. It was a relatively last minute booking so he didn’t get chance to visit her home beforehand which I’d have preferred, but within a day he was snuggling on the sofa and having a great time with teo and her son. I got a full update twice a day and plenty of pics and videos which really put our mind at rest. Kenji had so much exercise and lovely experiences like the dog cafe and seeing the ducks. Now I’ve picked him up I think he actually misses her! Will definitely use again. Thanks so much x”

About: I’ve had dogs (and other pets too!) since I was 2 years old. My family first rescued a tiny puppy called Benji, a little Yorkshire Terrier cross Border Terrier who lived to 18 years old! In 2017 we rescued our 9 year old Jeanie, a Jack Russel cross Corgi who was so full of character, a real little diva, who lived to 17 years old. Whilst I am currently a 2nd year university student studying Criminology, I often visit home where my parents own a lovely (not so little) Golden Labrador named Max, recently rescued at 2 years old - I love going home to take him on long walks in the woods and practice some training! I would love the opportunity to look after/walk your dog, and get to know some new breeds! I have a lot of availability whilst I’m here at university as I luckily don’t have to work, so typically I only have a couple one hour lectures a week - I can fit in walks or drop ins very easily around these ☺️ I live in a flat with my boyfriend of 2 years which unfortunately doesn’t have a garden area, however we do live very close to the beach and a large grassy area where I would walk your doggy :)
“Daisy has been absolutely amazing looking after Charlie. Lots of photos and updates that makes leaving him so much more stress free. He’s had a great weekend. Thank you so much and very much look forward to having Charlie stay again soon.”

Claire and her family are wonderful! Jeffrey was cared for as if he were there own. We received regular updates and saw that Jeffrey was happy throughout. Jeffrey was slightly unwell during the first few days which was unusual for him and quite worrying, however Claire kept us assured and we felt comfortable knowing he was being cared for so well. Would highly recommend Claire.

Megan is an absolute star! She recently looked after our active Cocker Spaniel for the first time, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care and attention she gave him. She provided regular walks, found creative ways to keep him mentally stimulated, and gave him a safe, welcoming environment where he was clearly happy and well cared for. Megan also sent us daily updates, which were lovely to receive and gave us real peace of mind that he was settled, content, and enjoying his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Megan’s dog-sitting services. We’ve already booked her again, which says it all! Thank you, Megan.

Michaela and family did a great job looking after our nervous labrador. Our dog was so relaxed when we collected her she walked back in Mechaela's house rather than leave with me! We had lots of photos throughout our dogs stay so we could see she was happy and relaxed.

Julie looked after our dog Herb and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Very easy to arrange a meet and greet, which was great to meet Julie and talk through our dogs needs (who is nervous around children and some dogs). We left feeling extremely reassured and confident that Julie had so much experience with dogs of all varieties. Throughout Herbs stay, the updates, pictures and videos were amazing and we loved receiving them - Herb was tired when she got home from all of her adventures! Thank you so much for putting our minds at ease and being a wonderful home from home. Couldn’t recommend Julie enough.

This is the 2nd time we've had Nasima look after our pets as she was so good last time. Excellent again. Wonderful communication. Wonderful care of our pets and our home. 2 very happy pets on our return. We always know they're in safe, loving hands. Thank you, Nasima xx

Our dog, Dylan, had a lovely time and was very contented there and when picked up! Penny was very quick to respond and answer any questions we had. As a doggy parent to an epileptic dog, we can often feel nervous about leaving him with someone new. However, we were very reassured and sent loads of updates and photos. Will book again!

Emily provided a safe, calm environment for Mannie's first ever night away at a dog sitters. She took great care asking questions and Mannie warmed to her and her house instantly. Despite Mannie being a noisy little barky boy and him completely foregoing his toilet training during his first time in a new space, Emily was continuously professional and understanding of dog behaviours and provided excellent care. A lovely pet sitter : )

Want to say a huge thank you. I was let down last minute by our usual sitter but thankfully shiyi was able to help us out. She was very caring and loving and little man settled really quickly. She happily kept me up dated and sent some lovely pics and videos. Honestly can't go wrong with picking her would give higher recommendation if I could. Cheers

Not remotely surprised that Teodora has star sitter status: from the very first message, she was accommodating, flexible and responsive. Our nervous spaniel had a blast in her house. He was spoiled rotten and taken out for lots of fun walks in the woods and on the common. He has come back to us very happy and we've already booked him in for a repeat visit.

I can’t recommend Rosie enough, I have nothing but praise. She went above and beyond to make sure my puppy Cleo was comfortable with a prior meet and greet and I knew whilst I was on holiday, I was able to trust her implicitly. Rosie kept me updated daily, with adorable photos and videos, Cleo had the best time and looked so happy with Rosie’s own two friendly, loving sausage dogs Buddy and Boo which put me at ease so I could fully relax whilst being away knowing that she is in the safest hands. Thank you so much and I know Cleo will be so happy to return again in future!🫶🏼❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
