About: I am fully insured and have been caring for dogs for more than 15 years, loving every minute of it. Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent many years looking after my own dogs and understand how important it is to keep them happy, safe and comfortable. I currently have two friendly dogs who are a big part of my family. Archie is 3 years old, and Lottie is the newest member of our family at just 1 year and 2 months old. They are both spayed and extremely friendly with other dogs. If your dog enjoys company, they’ll have two lovely playmates to spend the day with, whether that’s playing in the garden, going for walks, or simply relaxing together. Looking after Archie and Lottie has given me daily experience with feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, and making sure dogs feel safe, comfortable and loved. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, so I’ll always follow your instructions to help them feel at home. I know how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone new, which is why I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates, so you can see how they’re getting on and enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving and happy home where your dog will receive plenty of attention, affection and care until you’re back together. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention and care throughout the day. During your dog’s stay, I’ll be at home with them, so they won’t be left alone. My own dogs are my priority every day, and I plan my routine around feeding times, walks, playtime and making sure they get the exercise they need. Living close to the beach and several lovely parks means I can take the dogs on enjoyable walks in different places, depending on their needs and your preferences. Because Archie and Lottie already have a regular routine, it’s easy to welcome another dog into our day. If your dog enjoys the company of other dogs, they’ll have two friendly playmates to spend the day with. There will be plenty of time for play, cuddles, rest and companionship, so they always feel loved and cared for. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates, so you can see how they’re getting on and have complete peace of mind while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and happiness will always come first. Before every stay, I’ll ask about their routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, any medications, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. I’m also happy to arrange a meet and greet before booking. This gives you and your dog the chance to visit my home, meet me, Archie and Lottie, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before the stay. My home is clean, safe and dog friendly, and I always supervise dogs while they’re together to make sure everyone is happy and getting along. Archie and Lottie are both very friendly and enjoy meeting other dogs, but I’ll always introduce them calmly and at their own pace. I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks and any special instructions. Dogs will always have fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, plenty of love and attention, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. I’ll also send regular photos and videos, so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi, I’m a retired dog lover living with my husband and our own friendly dog. As I’m home full-time, your dog will never be left alone and will be part of a calm, loving home. We’ve had dogs since 2006, and I volunteered as a dog walker for the RSPCA, so I’m confident with many breeds, reading body language, and supporting anxious dogs, including those with separation worries. We live close to the beach, and your dog will enjoy regular walks, often twice a day, plus time in our secure enclosed garden. Walks can be on or off lead, depending on your dog’s recall and your wishes. I offer a caring, structured environment with plenty of attention and affection. Dogs aren’t allowed on the furniture, to help maintain consistency in our home. For the safety and comfort of all dogs in my care, I only accept neutered males and spayed females, and every booking starts with a meet and greet, to make sure we are the right fit. My aim is to provide a genuine home from home, where you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is safe, happy and well cared for. I’m at home full-time, so daycare and dog sitting fit easily into my everyday routine. With my own dog, I’m already out on regular walks often along the beach, and I can adapt to your dog’s usual routine. It means your dog gets attention throughout the day in a calm, consistent setting. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I offer a calm home environment with a secure garden, constant supervision, and a consistent routine. I generally only take one dog at a time. If you have two dogs that live together and need care, this can be discussed. Walks are tailored to your dog’s needs, with careful assessment before any off-lead time. Every stay starts with a meet and greet, to make sure everyone feels safe and relaxed.
“It was our first time using Rover and so glad we did. Jamie was a great communicator and took care of Ponyo with love. Lots of walkies and the live updates put us at ease. Very thankful, would definitely recommend Jamie :)”

“Ella was the perfect choice for us (& Chello) - she clearly formed a very quick bond with our beloved pooch, sent us regular updates, and returned him happy & well-cared for. We would definitely book her again!”

“This is the first time our cookie has gone to a sitter and Clare was amazing with him. I knew as soon as I met her he was in safe hands. Was sent updates and pictures which was nice and meant we could relax and enjoy our son’s wedding. Thank you Clare”

“Not remotely surprised that Teodora has star sitter status: from the very first message, she was accommodating, flexible and responsive. Our nervous spaniel had a blast in her house. He was spoiled rotten and taken out for lots of fun walks in the woods and on the common. He has come back to us very happy and we've already booked him in for a repeat visit.”

“Melanie was great. We met prior to the booking so pretzel was familiar with her. Communication was friendly and quick. I received lots of photos and updates during the stay. A real find!”

“Emily looked after our cockapoo, Kevin, and took such great care of him! We cannot thank Emily enough for looking after him so well and providing regular updates with photos. We would not hesitate to book again!”

About: Hi my name is Ellisia! A little about me, I was very lucky to have Fostered 8-10 rescues from Europe in my home as a volunteer for a new leash for life charity (Hampshire based dog charity) in 2023. And rescued one of those of my own who is now a lover. Dog grooming assistant qualified, at Chichester college. I handled dog breeds or all shapes and sizes. And can bath, groom and trim nails. 2 months volunteering in Thailand in a dog sanctuary back in 2020. When I assisted with the running of the dog rescue centre. Bathing, feeding and comforting new rescues. And walking the resident dogs. Owned my own dog for 1 year now! And grew up with a family dog ( a Norfolk terrier) for 17years from the age of 11-28, she sparked my love for animals and dogs that’s for sure. Have been walking and sitting dogs for the last 2 years approximately along side my job which is work from home. With the intention to eventually do this full time. Excellent service. First time our two dogs have stayed away from home. Meet & Greet beforehand went well. Jade sent photos while we were away so we were reassured that the dogs were OK. Would definitely use again under the same circumstances hence the 5-star rating. Thanks again!

We couldn’t recommend Hazan, highly enough! Monty stayed for a week while we were on holiday and clearly had the most amazing time. We received lovely photos and updates every morning and evening, showing him out on walks, playing and looking completely at home. They were also incredibly conscientious about a sore paw he had when he arrived, making sure he didn’t lick it too much and keeping a close eye on him. By the time we collected him, his paw was completely better and no longer an issue. They even bought him some extra treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. Monty was clearly very well cared for, happy and thoroughly spoilt throughout his stay. We would 100% use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their dog.

Chunk absolutely loved his stay with Emily. Bulldogs are very different to most dogs - stubborn, needy, snuffly, snoring not so little characters - and Chunk has a few extra quirks of his own. He’s obsessed with hosepipes and watering cans, and occasionally *a bit too* enthusiastic around them… and I forgot to mention hoovers! He’s also raw‑fed, so his food isn’t the easiest or the nicest‑smelling, but nothing was ever too much trouble for Emily. She was so welcoming and friendly, and Chunk made himself at home straight away. Which made us feel comfortable and relaxed leaving him. I really appreciated all the updates she sent while he was with her - it was lovely to see how relaxed and happy he was. Thank you so, so much for looking after him. When we came to pick him up, he stood outside for a good two minutes… I genuinely don’t think he wanted to come home! We’d book with Emily again in a heartbeat.

Freya and Polly spent a little time together before her 5 night stay. Freya did a fabulous job looking after our miniature Cockerpoo, who is very fussy and needy in nature. Both Freya and Polly enjoyed each others company and we would not hesitate to recommend Freya for your pooches. Hopefully we will be able to book with her again in the future!

Oliwia was fantastic 👏 we met prior to introduce Patch and ourselves and nothing was too much trouble! Excellent feedback and communication when we were away and plenty of pup pics 📸 which was reassuring!! Patch came back as happy as he left so thank you so much for really looking after him....he really enjoyed all his walks and attention you both gave! Would recommend Oliwia to anyone and we will certainly see if Patch can have some more sleepovers in the future!!! Thank you Cheryl and Pete and Dog Licks from Patch 🐾🐶

Claire and her family are wonderful! Jeffrey was cared for as if he were there own. We received regular updates and saw that Jeffrey was happy throughout. Jeffrey was slightly unwell during the first few days which was unusual for him and quite worrying, however Claire kept us assured and we felt comfortable knowing he was being cared for so well. Would highly recommend Claire.

Megan is an absolute star! She recently looked after our active Cocker Spaniel for the first time, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care and attention she gave him. She provided regular walks, found creative ways to keep him mentally stimulated, and gave him a safe, welcoming environment where he was clearly happy and well cared for. Megan also sent us daily updates, which were lovely to receive and gave us real peace of mind that he was settled, content, and enjoying his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Megan’s dog-sitting services. We’ve already booked her again, which says it all! Thank you, Megan.

Julie looked after our dog Herb and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Very easy to arrange a meet and greet, which was great to meet Julie and talk through our dogs needs (who is nervous around children and some dogs). We left feeling extremely reassured and confident that Julie had so much experience with dogs of all varieties. Throughout Herbs stay, the updates, pictures and videos were amazing and we loved receiving them - Herb was tired when she got home from all of her adventures! Thank you so much for putting our minds at ease and being a wonderful home from home. Couldn’t recommend Julie enough.

This is the 2nd time we've had Nasima look after our pets as she was so good last time. Excellent again. Wonderful communication. Wonderful care of our pets and our home. 2 very happy pets on our return. We always know they're in safe, loving hands. Thank you, Nasima xx

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
