What sets me apart is the depth and variety of experience I’ve built over my whole life. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, and after losing my two border collies to old age, I really miss having animals around — so caring for other people’s pets brings a lot of joy and purpose into my home. I’ve looked after pets for family, friends, and referrals for years, which has given me experience with everything from puppies and high‑energy working breeds to small dogs who prefer a calmer pace. I’ve also cared for senior dogs, including my own, and understand the patience, gentleness, and extra support they need. I recently cared for a diabetic cat, so I’m confident with injections and administering medication to both cats and dogs. I’m comfortable managing reactivity, maintaining puppy training, and providing enrichment activities that stimulate a dog’s mind — not just their body. I’m always learning more about animal behaviour and care because I genuinely love what I do. I’ve even looked after other pets like tortoises, fish, and hamsters, so I’m adaptable and confident with a wide range of needs.
