About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, I currently have two— a German Shepherd which I raised from a puppy and a Romanian Rescue—which I’ve had for 3 and 2 years. I am skilled in feeding, grooming, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I prioritise their socialisation and make sure they are walked at least twice a day whenever possible, maintaining their health, happiness, and overall well-being. I’m currently working a part time job from Friday evening to Sunday. However any other days I have full availability and can dedicate my time entirely to caring for your pet. I am available every day from now until 20th - 29th August, and after these dates, my schedule will remain fully open apart from Friday to Sunday, allowing me to provide consistent, reliable and loving care whenever it’s needed. Safety - If walking dogs i'd ensure that the harness is well fitted, and the leash is secured to prevent the dog escaping during a walk. - I’d provide multiple and all round water breaks/ ensuring water bowl is full at all times, and provide shaded/ cool areas to keep cool. - I’d ensure to keep an eye on the pets to ensure if there’s any signs of illness, injuries and any distress and if there’s is I’d ensure to immediately report to the owner/s. Trust - I’d ensure to keep all owners in constant communication by sending photos, any updates, or videos during visits or dog walks. - I'd always make sure to always follow any instructions left by the pet owners like keeping to their regular routines, keeping to their pets food dietary plans. - I'd also ensure to treat the pet owners home with respect and respecting their items within the home, id also treat the pet with care and leave any space used clean if a mess was made. Environmental - I'd ensure the pet owners home or walking area is free from any harmful hazards like broken glass, sharp objects or anything that could potentially cause harm. - When doing dog walks I ensure to choose a walk route with the best interest of the dog whether the dog is nervous of traffic or loud noises. I'd always put the dogs well-being first and always go to a park the dog knows and is comfortable being at. - I'd ensure that all dogs (if exempt) is allowed a chance to socialise and interact with other owners or dogs during walks only when appropriate. - I'd ensure any waste from the pet whether it be on dog walks or at home, all waste would be properly cleaned and disposed of.
“Nasima was as always awesome! She looked after Raffie for the third time and he was so excited to see her. It’s so great to have someone as caring and reliable as Nasima to take care of our boy!”

“Elizabete was great, she was punctual, patient and a very calming influence on our Binki who has separation issues, we wouldn’t hesitate in using Elizabete again and will definitely do so”

About: I have had animals all my life. Dogs, cats, rabbits, rats and everything in between. I have always been passionate about looking after animals and finally have an opportunity to do something with it. Whilst I have no professional experiance, I have a lifetime of personal experiance looking after my own pets and those of friends and family. I have a Level 2 in Animal Care and I'm currently working through a diploma in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking I'm not currently working so I have full availability across the week. Ideally I would love to turn this into a 9-5 Monday to Friday role with limited availability for evenings and weekends. Eventually I will be looking at a boarding liscence as well. At first I wont be offering care at my own home. So I will be looking after your pets in the comfort of their own space. Dog walks will only be off lead with permission and with good recall/no aggression. I will only walk 2-3 dogs at a time and will offer solo walks for dogs who need to be walked alone. Walks will be an hour long except in the Summer when walks will either be shorter or swapped with a home visit. Home visits can be once or twice a day as needed. Unless requested for Pet Sitting service

“Ellie did a fantastic job in looking after our 2 dogs in a house sit. She was very attentive to their every need and sent us daily photos and video updates. The house was left clean and tidy when she left and we would definitely have her back again if required in the future. We would definitely recommend Ellie as a house and pet sitter”

“Bex was absolutely fantastic, she looked after our 14 year old Molly Dog over a 3 day wedding trip. Bex visited us a few weeks before to check our set up, meet Molly and have a chat about what was needed. During our family wedding trip, she kept us updated with pics of her walks, play and even grooming - Molly was treated like a doggy princess; We’d highly recommend Bex, we were completely confident in her services and also as a trustworthy person to look after our house.”

“Michelle was so attentive and communicative as she looked after Theo. We received regular updates - all with Theo living his best life!! We felt safe leaving him in Michelle’s capable hands, and he seemed to absolutely love his time with her. Thanks so much Michelle”

About: I am currently training to be a vet nurse, before this I was a professional dog walker and sitter. I have cared for many different types of animals and sizes! I have always taken care of others animals as if they were my very own. My weekends are mostly filled with lovely dog walks and revising! My week days are pretty busy but can be free in the evenings, I also get one day off a working week and free on most weekends. I have 2 dogs of my own who love to mingle and walk with others, my house is very cosy. However I am also very happy to come in to your pets own home, so they have their very own comforts.

“Cian was amazing. Really communicative before the booking to ensure everything was in place properly and he understood the pets needs then the sit went really well Cian looked after the pets exactly as we asked and kept us fully updated thank you Cian!”
“Zoe was great & we can highly recommend her! Wicklow clearly had an amazing day. We received some lovely photos during the sit & he was happy and calm when we got home. Zoe is really friendly, reliable and her communication was great throughout. We would book her again in an instant.”

“We had the pleasure of having Zuzanna take care of our three dogs over the weekend while we were away, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the very first interaction, she was friendly, professional, and clearly an animal lover. She took the time to get to know our dogs' personalities, their routines, and preferences, which made us feel at ease leaving them behind. Throughout the weekend, Zuzana sent us little updates, along with photos of our dogs enjoying their time. It was so comforting to know they were in such great hands. Our pups are a handful—one's a high-energy pup, another's a bit shy, and the third is a senior with some special needs—but she handled it all with ease and affection. The dogs were calm, happy, and healthy when we returned, which says it all. We truly appreciate how much attention was given to each of their unique needs We highly recommend Zuzanna to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter! We’ll definitely be booking again for our future trips. Thank you again!”

About: Hey there! First things first, I completely understand your hesitation about letting someone else care for your beloved companion. So, let me share a bit about myself. My name is Jessica, and I live in Portsmouth. Pets have been a cherished part of my life for as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles—you name it! Back at my family home in Kent, we have two lovable dogs: Ruby, a sweet Staff X Lurcher, and Boomer, a unique Patadale X Chihuahua X Silver Lab (I know, it’s quite the delightful mix with a long story of its own!). I'm genuinely excited to offer my services because, at the moment, I can’t have a pet of my own. This way, I’m not only helping wonderful people like you but also getting my daily dose of cuteness and the chance to care for your pet just as much as you do! With a diploma in Animal Management, I have a good foundation of knowledge about various animals. I eagerly look forward to getting to know you and your precious companions! I work full time remotely now, which means I’m home all day and able to give your pets loads of attention and company. I can pop in during the day or evening for check-ins and walks, and I’m also happy to stay overnight if you need someone to look after your little ones. I’ve looked after lots of different breeds in all shapes and sizes. I love getting out for walks and I’m always happy to take your pup out for some fresh air, exercise and attention. I’m confident with all temperaments and ages and I make sure every dog feels relaxed, safe and understood. I’ve also helped care for my husband’s family dogs over the years, including raising their puppies, so I’m very used to different routines and needs. Your pup will be in loving, reliable hands with me.

Portsmouth pet owners share their Rover experiences
We cannot thank Michelle (and her husband Phil) enough for the way they looked after our old boy Barley (nearly 15 yrs), who can be quite a nervous and sensitive boy, for the twelve days we were away. The updates with photos showed Barley was living his best life and was so comfortable. Michelle is so kind, caring and has such a calming and warm nature. We’ve never left Barley before, and we felt at ease straight away, she gave me confidence and reassurance that all will be ok and it was more than that. We can not recommend Michelle highly enough. Barley loved it, seemed a lot younger than the nearly 15 yr old boy he is, and sulked for a couple of days after. We will definitely use Michelle again, she would be the only one to look after Barley. Once again, thank you to Michelle and Phil from the bottom of our hearts.

We 100% recommend Ingrid! She was very patient with our dog on our first meeting. Available on a very short notice, as our regular pet sitter had cancelled on us the day before due to sickness, which we appreciate Ingrid so much for that! We were provide with updates throughout the day, which made us feel at ease as well! Cannot recommend enough!

We couldn’t have asked for better dog sitters! They took such amazing care of all 3 of our dogs, including our senior blind dog who needs medication and extra attention. They were patient, caring, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Our two high-energy dogs were also so well cared for and clearly got lots of love and attention. They also did daily check-ins with us and sent so many pictures and videos, which meant the world to us and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It’s not easy handling dogs with such different needs, but they did an absolutely incredible job. We came home to happy, relaxed pups and are so grateful. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate pet sitters!

Zoe was great & we can highly recommend her! Wicklow clearly had an amazing day. We received some lovely photos during the sit & he was happy and calm when we got home. Zoe is really friendly, reliable and her communication was great throughout. We would book her again in an instant.

As expected from all the other amazing reviews, Nasima was the perfect houseguest for Mr Chunky. Nasima gave daily updates with photos and it looks like they got on like a house on fire. When I came home it was as if Nasima hadn’t even been there at all - everything left exactly how she found it. Will definitely rebook next time I need her!

Repeat booking with Zuzanna, who was fantastic with our 6 month Irish terrier, Sherlock. Punctual, friendly & very comfortable with Sherlock, put him at ease immediately & he was super happy to see Zuzanna again. Will be rebooking for sure. Would highly recommend 🐾

Megan was amazing, we had to find last minute care as our doggo was injured and she absolutely took it in her stride handling a haphazard set of instructions like a pro! Her communication was amazing and we had some fab photos, I couldn’t recommend Megan more and we’re so grateful to her and her partner!

Chloe was an absolute star. She kept in touch with us, checking best course of action when our dog wouldn’t eat and suggested tricks failed, but also just generally to let us know all was well and send the odd photo or two. On our return the house was lovely and tidy and it was obvious that the animals had been well loved. This was our second time of using Chloe and we will use her again, work permitting.
Orsolya is truly amazing!! I trust her 100% as she came to have a greet & meet with us first. And when the day came she looked after Monty just like he was her own & how he deserved. She’s so caring & kind & always kept me updated with pictures & messages. I would only ever use Orsolya, I’m so pleased I went with her. Very highly recommended, if there was a 6star I would use that!

Hannah done a fab job, the doggies were completely at ease with her and her attentiveness was brilliant. She stayed in contact where needed (one of the dogs was sick - poor Hannah!) but she dealt with everything with no bother and kept me informed where needed. Will definitely be booking Hannah again!
