“Karen has walked peggy for me quite a few times now, and she is always on time, even in horrible weather. She always posts lots of pictures along the walk, and gives details of what they've done and where they have been. Peggy is happy to see Karen and at ease with her. I would highly recommend Karen, she is a true animal lover who looks after my dog like her own.”

“Tatjana is so lovely and I felt happy that she could walk my 48kg mastiff. He loves her and enjoyed his walk 🥰”

“Louisa has always been a fantastic friend and carer to my dogs, my rescue pup Diego absolutely loves her. I have never had any concerns when leaving my dogs in her care, as I know they will be loved and looked after. For some dogs their family at home are their whole world, and I'm so glad that my dogs have someone outside of the family pack who they get just as excited to see! Louisa is trustworthy and reliable, a fantastic communicator and is the definition of an animal lover.”

“Rebecca is a very sweet and caring girl, and loves caring for animals. Not like how everyone likes cute pets, she has a genuine passion for taking care and spending time with animals. I've seen her care for her neighbours pets, her own, and volunteer to take care of her friends pet bunny as well. Definitely a great caretaker”

“Elli is one of the most patient and charitable human beings you could possibly hope to meet, she is an experienced dog owner and is incredibly kind hearted. She has in recent years been spending her down time providing a loving foster home for rescue dogs all of whom have found forever homes with her help. She is the only person I feel comfortable to leave my own dog in the care of when my family and I go away on holiday. She is also godmother to my two young children and she is one of the people I trust most in the world. I cannot think of a better human being to look after your fluffy babies!”

“I booked Ben to walk my 2 dogs. They are very energetic and after their walk with Ben they came back happy and tired. He was very knowledgeable and caring with the dogs and I'm pleased I have found him for them.”

“Jess is a caring and loving person, and has been trusted to look after many pets before. She adores animals, and looks after them as if they were her own, whilst following any rules or guidelines given by the owner. Animals also seem to love her, and feel comfortable around her immediately.”

About: I am offering house drop ins, housesitting and walking services in the PO5 area. I am willing to travel further around Portsmouth, just ask and I'll see if I can accommodate. I do not have my own pets sadly but have grown up around both dogs and cats. I am comfortable around bigger dogs too and have walked my grandparents’ many greyhounds over the years. One day I hope to own my own Weimaraner and a cat and hope they live in harmony! I work shifts on a 6 on 4 off basis, with the hours ranging from early to evening shifts. I know my shifts far in advance so if you let me know a date(s) I can let you know immediately whether I can commit to helping you. I have a high pressure role at times so I am keen to stretch my legs more on dog walks and play with your pets as a way to unwind. Animals are like therapy to me! I am in a full time job however I have mornings / afternoons available where others might not due to my shift pattern. Just let me know and I will see if I can accommodate. I live in a flat with no access to a garden, I believe my living situation would only be suitable to look after small dogs and cats. I would prefer to come to your house if possible, where I will of course respect it as if it were my own.

“I have known Megan for a number of years. I have always found Megan to be responsible and punctual. Megan has cared for my two dogs in the past who can be reactive to other dogs in the community. Megan would take appropriate action to reduce them becoming reactive. She adores animals, especially dogs.”

“Hannah helps us out in a pickle with walking our boy. He always looks like he is having the best time and she’s so reliable keeping us up to date with his fun times out with her. 5 stars”

After much worrying I was able to find Ellie who was able to come over that day and look after my dogs overnight while I was away. They were looked after so amazingly and I have had Ellie back to look after my dogs many more times after that.”

About: With over five years of experience caring for dogs, I’ve had the joy of raising my first dog from puppyhood to adulthood, learning the ins and outs of responsible pet care, training, and companionship. After moving out, I’ve taken on the exciting challenge of raising a new dog for the past seven months, expanding my knowledge in adapting to different temperaments and needs. I’m well-versed in daily routines, ensuring dogs get the right balance of exercise, attention, and care to keep them happy and healthy. As a university student with a flexible schedule, I have the ability to dedicate ample time to caring for dogs. My classes allow for a balance between academic responsibilities and personal time, giving me the freedom to adjust my day around walks, playtime, and any specific needs a dog might have. This flexibility means I can be there for feedings, exercise, and companionship, ensuring each dog gets the attention and care they deserve throughout the day. When caring for pets in my home, I create a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment. I ensure they have their own space for rest, with plenty of toys and bedding. I follow any specific feeding, exercise, or medication routines and prioritize playtime and walks to keep them active and engaged. I’m also mindful of house rules, such as designated areas for pets, and I keep things clean and tidy. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and stick closely to the pet’s established routine to help them feel secure. I maintain feeding, exercise, and bathroom schedules, give them attention and affection, and provide updates to the owner as needed. I ensure that both the home and the pet remain well cared for.
