“Kamila has dropped in to see Archie for us a couple of times now and always does an excellent job of looking after him, playing with him and giving him a fuss. Would certainly recommend! Thanks Kamila!”

“Eliza was fantastic looking after Lily while we were away. She was reliable, caring and kept us updated with messages and photos during each visit, which gave us great peace of mind. Lily was happy, relaxed and well looked after when we returned. We would happily book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy cat sitter. Thank you so much, Eliza”

“Lauran was amazing with my cat! So accommodating, she was consistent with communication and went above and beyond to make me feel secure and stress free while away! She send photos, great with updates, and even found a way to connect with my very antisocial cat! Definitely recommend, she followed all the requests and she showed she cared. Thank you Lauran xx”

“Was away for a weekend and Jamie took great care of my 2 cats. They seemed totally at ease and comfortable when I got back. No issues whatsoever. I'd asked if he could come by once a day for feeding, play and litter tray and that was all managed well. Would definitely ask him to cat sit for me again in the future. ”

“Abigail is always great with our anxious German Shepherd. Just a drop in & walk this time after not seeing him for a while, but it seems like he had a great time :) Would always recommend!”

“Hayley was fantastic - Super friendly and did everything she could to ensure Milos routine was kept to. Obvious she has a lot of experience handling dogs, Milo was calm at the initial meet and greet and had a great time hanging out with Hayley for the afternoon. We'll definitely call upon Hayley next time we need a dog walker/dogsitter!”

About: Having grown up with dogs and cats, and had rescue dogs of my own, I am experienced with providing care for animals with a wide range of needs, including separation anxiety, reactivity, and medication. I also have lots of experience looking after pet rats! I currently work from home half the week, and this can be done from anywhere with wifi. I have a car and can travel within a reasonable distance. I am sensitive to the needs of the individual pet, so my approach to care will depend on what your pet is used to, I will ask questions beforehand so that I can provide the best care for your animal. I want to minimize any stress for your pet and give them the most positive experience!

Peace loving ones welcome too, we can enjoy a relaxed time together :) Someone is always at home . We both have odd schedules but that’s not a problem because we can free our time when necessary if one needs to work longer Making sure he/she gets his walks and eats according to schedule + have water available all the time. Can wash him / her if necessary.
About: I’ve taken regular care of my friends dog for quite a few years now as she is a frequent traveller. Experienced with day to day care, dog walking and providing comfort and play. Honest, trustworthy and genuinely care about animals. I work part time from home so available for cuddles and play. We have a large garden and I can go for walks after 3pm some Days. I have Fridays off so can do long walks that day. I have 2 children but one is 14 and the other is 11 so responsible and respectful who also love animals I have a fenced garden and an open plan house where I can see the pets easily. If in someone else’s home, I’m respectful of whatever instructions they provide.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life from birth, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Although I’m new to professional pet sitting platforms, I have lifelong hands-on experience owning and caring for dogs, cats, and many other animals. I currently own a 12-year-old German Shepherd/Wolfdog cross who I single-handedly trained using positive reinforcement methods. He has been raw fed since puppyhood, and over the years this sparked a strong interest in canine nutrition, holistic wellbeing, behaviour, and force-free training techniques. I’m especially experienced with larger breeds, high-energy dogs, Cockapoos, and Spaniels, but honestly I adore dogs of every shape and size. I’m confident handling strong dogs, administering medication, and adapting care to suit each pet’s individual personality, routine, and needs. Alongside dogs, I’ve also owned and cared for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, hamsters, kittens, and puppies. I’ve regularly house sat for friends and family, caring for both pets and homes with the same level of respect and attention I would expect for my own. I work from home as a self-employed Will Writer and Estate Planning Consultant, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. I love hiking, long walks, countryside adventures, and including dogs out and about in my daily routine wherever possible, if they enjoy it and feel comfortable. I also have my own car fitted with a pet seat cover for safe and comfortable transport when needed. I currently split my time between Southampton and Epsom, so I’m available for dog walking, drop-ins, and house sitting across Surrey, Hampshire, and surrounding areas. Above all else, I genuinely care about animals and understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone. My aim is always to make pets feel safe, relaxed, loved, and cared for while giving owners complete peace of mind. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. I’m available for house sitting throughout the week, including weekends, whether that’s shorter stays or overnight care. I can give pets plenty of attention, company, walks, and care throughout the day, and adapt to each pet’s routine and needs. Unfortunately I’m unable to offer care in my own home, as I have a senior dog who doesn’t always get along with other animals. However, I’m very happy to care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and settled in their familiar environment and routine. I always treat both pets and homes with the utmost respect, keeping things clean, calm, and stress-free. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, behaviour, exercise needs, feeding schedule, and any medication or special requirements so they receive personalised care and attention while you’re away.

About: For the past 10 years, I’ve been running a small dog rescue on my own land in Portugal, focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs. Working with volunteers and local charities, we built a cage-free setup where dogs lived as part of a stable social group rather than in kennels. At any given time there were usually around 10 dogs living together. I was the primary caretaker, so managing a group of dogs and keeping things steady was just part of everyday life. I've cared for dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments, including puppies, senior dogs, blind and deaf dogs, dogs with disabilities, dogs recovering from illness, and dogs who have been neglected. Behavioural issues are not a problem for me. My approach is calm, practical, and focused on reading each animal and responding to what they need in the moment. I am compassionate and gentle. As well as dogs, I’ve had cats and chickens my whole life, and I also have experience caring for horses, pigs, goats, and ducks. Animals have been at the centre of my life for many years, and I love caring for them. I’m currently in the UK for a few months while I prepare to get married and relocate back to Europe. I’m staying with friends during this time, which means I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Pet care fits easily into my routine at the moment, and I’m able to be fully present and reliable with bookings. I care for pets in their own home so they stay in a familiar, low-stress environment. I follow their routine closely, including feeding, walks, medication, and any specific needs. I’m experienced in quickly settling into different homes and maintaining a calm, structured presence. I’m respectful of the space, keep everything secure and clean, and provide clear regular updates. With over 10 years of rescue experience, I’m confident handling a wide range of temperaments, including dogs that need patience or close supervision.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life 🐾 I grew up with larger breeds and now regularly care for my mum’s three Chihuahuas (one is a Chihuahua–Jack Russell cross!), so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Dogs have truly always been a huge part of my life. I have a strong understanding of dog behaviour. When I was younger, we had Boxer dogs, one of whom required professional training. I attended those training sessions, which taught me a lot about reading dog behaviour, respecting boundaries, and understanding when a dog needs space just as much as when they want attention, play, or cuddles. I also have experience administering oral medication and am more than happy to do this for your dog, as long as clear instructions are provided. I’m open to caring for dogs with special needs and would be happy to gain more experience in this area. If your dog does have special requirements, please let me know the details so I can ensure they receive the best possible care. ⭐️ Currently offering reduced fees as I’m new to this app ⭐️ I work nights but sometimes work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility during the day and evenings. As I’m self-employed, I can adjust my schedule when needed and plan my time around your pet’s routine. I’m reliable, organised, and always make your pet’s needs, comfort, and happiness my top priority 🐾 Whether that’s sticking to feeding times, walks, playtime, or quiet company, your pet will always come first. Home Visits & Walks • For safety, I keep dogs on the lead during walks if they don’t have reliable recall. If your dog has good recall and I’ve seen this first-hand, we can absolutely revisit this once I’ve gotten to know both you and your dog. An extendable lead is a great option so they can still have plenty of freedom to explore and run around parks. • I’ll always treat your home with care and leave it just as I found it, I will wash up after myself, take bins out and change bedding, making sure you come back to your home as it was. If your dog has an accident, I’ll happily clean it up — please provide cleaning products, just in case! • For home visits and overnight stays, I’m more than happy to care for multiple dogs. When it comes to walks, however, the safety and wellbeing of your pets, myself, and the public is my top priority. For this reason, I’m able to walk a maximum of three dogs at a time (or two at a time for large breeds). In multi-dog households with more than three dogs, walks will be done in separate groups to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. For example, four dogs would be walked as two at a time, and five dogs would be walked as three first, followed by the remaining two. • Communication is important, if I feel I need to contact you about your pet or your home, I will do so without hesitation. An additional contact number of a family member, neighbour or friend is preferred incase I am unable to get hold of you. • Clear instructions about your pet, their needs and quirks is essential to ensuring your furry family is comfortable and happy while their pet parent is away. • I’m more than happy to take pictures of your pet and send you regular updates while you are away! I want you to feel relaxed knowing your pet and your home is safe while you are away. • I have a car & drivers license and I’m happy to take your pets to a preferred area for walks or change in scenery, only dogs that are well-behaved in cars and will be happy to sit securely in the back of my car (for safety reasons), this is optional of course and only after I’ve got to know your pets. Small dogs only for car trips, and a maximum of three due to having a smaller car. ⸻ Boarding • I only take one small dog at a time, so your pet gets my full attention and a calm, relaxed stay. • Your dog should be house-trained (able to let me know when they need to go outside and not have regular accidents). • Dogs are very welcome on the furniture, as long as they’re up to date with flea treatment. • Dogs are also welcome to sleep on the bed. If you’d prefer they sleep in their own bed, please feel free to provide one so they feel comfortable and at home. • There won’t be any other dogs in my household during your dog’s stay. My family dogs live with my mum most of the time. I do have a bearded dragon, who stays safely in his vivarium and will not be let out during your dog’s stay. If your dog is sensitive to small animals, please let me know so I can ensure everything remains completely separated and stress-free for everyone. • As I live in a flat, quieter dogs are preferred to keep things comfortable for both your dog and my neighbours. • I also have a small, shared ground-floor balcony area that your dog can enjoy on a lead, I prefer to take them to the park across the road where they will have more to enjoy, but my ground-floor balcony is suitable for toilet breaks and fresh air.
About: I have two adopted animals from rescue and one girl I’ve had from a puppy. My eldest has medication and specific washing requirements so I’m used to doing that. I drive so can facilitate vet appointments if needed as required. I work from home, so can work to suit schedules and be near animals as required. I have smaller dogs myself which we can separate if this is something your animal isn’t used to. Having animals myself I understand often complex needs and requirements and can adjust to fit various circumstances as needed. I can familiarise myself with any routine required, and happy to attend beforehand as needed to speak to the owner. I was previously an estate agent, so understand how to lock property safely and take care of the owners space and privacy. I would like to think I am reliable and trustworthy such that it can be one worry less during busy times in your schedule.

Another great experience for Pascualita with Jamie. As usual, the daily updates allowed us to enjoy our holidays with peace of mind, knowing she was being taken care of. Pascualita can be quite timid, so I particularly appreciate Jamie's patience with her, and was really pleased to see they've now become very good friends. She was happy and relaxed when we got back home. I would definitely recommend Jamie.
Lauran was amazing with my cat! So accommodating, she was consistent with communication and went above and beyond to make me feel secure and stress free while away! She send photos, great with updates, and even found a way to connect with my very antisocial cat! Definitely recommend, she followed all the requests and she showed she cared. Thank you Lauran xx

We booked Emily to visit our 2 cats for a few days while we were away. It was our first time leaving the cats but Emily was fantastic and kept us informed on how they were, etc.. Emily messaged and sent photos and videos of our cats during each visit and as well as feeding them and cleaning their litter tray, Emily also spent time with them and played with them. Emily also fed our fish for us. We would highly recommend Emily and will definitely book her again in the future.

Maria was a brilliant cat sitter, even though it was quite short notice she came over to meet our cat Nova and learn about him before the weekend. Nova can be very shy with new people but he liked Maria instantly, coming over to her for attention! She was great at keeping in contact and giving updates, and we came home to a very happy cat. Thank you Maria!

We highly recommend Freya. She did an excellent job in looking after our cat for a long weekend. Her communication was clear throughout and she sent regular updates and photos. We felt assured that our cat was being well looked after and cared for. We will definitely book again.

Allana has done an amazing job when looking after Gojo. She has sent loads of pics and videos which we loved and gave us that peace of mind that Gojo is having a good time. She followed all our instructions and asked us all the right questions during the meet&greet visit. She is a great sitter, our Gojo was well entertained and looked after whilst we were away and we wouldn't hesitate to book Allana again 🥰🤩!!

Hollie was brilliant. Very generous, easy to talk to and really good with my pets. As she has a background in animals, she was able to give me tips regarding my tortoise which was helpful. Monty the cat is normally the shy type but felt comfortable around Hollie instantly. I’m more than happy to book her again and again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
