It was lovely to meet Sandra and she took excellent care of Barbara while we were away. Sandra was very knowledgeable and thorough in our catchup before the dropin and on the day spent quality time with Babs and sent photos and a video update. Many thanks - Barbara is looking forward to future visits :)

About: I have always had dogs in my life! Currently my family dog, Bertie a very loveable cockapoo comes to live with me from time to time. I personally love it when he is here 😍 I work from home most days so will be around all day to keep your dog company and take them for walks during breaks in my world day. I age a fenced in garden which they are free to roam around. I have an experience with all ages of dogs from puppies to seniors. I work full time but from home so will be around all day to look after your pet. Take them out for walks on breaks. In my home I’ll keep your pet company whilst they are here. I have a fenced in garden for them to play in. My house is dog friendly already as I have my own. Do have all the bits and bobs a dog could need. Live every close to the common and other parks.

About: I’ve been caring for cats since I was 8 years old, when I got my first cat, and I’ve been a hands-on, responsible owner ever since. I cared for her throughout her entire life until she passed away from old age two years ago, managing all aspects of her daily care myself. This included feeding, maintaining a clean litter box (scooped twice daily), bathing when needed, especially as she became less able to groom herself—regular grooming, nail trimming, and monitoring her overall health. I also took her to the vet regularly for check-ups, so I’m very comfortable recognising changes in behaviour, appetite, or routine that may signal a health concern. I’m currently the owner of a 5 month old kitten named Leo, so I’m very familiar with kitten energy levels, play needs, feeding schedules, and gentle handling. Between senior cat care and kitten care, I’m confident caring for cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. Furthermore, I also have extensive experience caring for dogs. My family has had a Bernese Mountain Dog for the past 8 years, who lives with my parents back home. I’ve been involved in his care since he was a puppy, including feeding, walking, basic training, grooming, and general day-to-day care. Being a large-breed dog, he has also given me experience handling bigger dogs calmly and confidently. In addition to caring for my own pets, I also have hands-on experience working with shelter animals. During my teenage years, I volunteered at animal shelters, and after graduating high school, I took a gap year before university to work in a veterinary shelter. During this time, I cared for stray dogs and cats, assisted with daily husbandry, administered medications, supported vaccination routines, and helped monitor animals recovering from illness or procedures. I also had the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians, including shadowing and assisting in surgery rooms, which has given me valuable experience handling animals calmly and safely in medical settings. I’m a university student with a very flexible schedule. I only need to be on campus for lectures around 2–3 times per week, usually for a few hours at a time. Outside of that, I’m home most of the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, and supervision. I’m naturally quite introverted and enjoy spending time at home, which means I’m well-suited to providing a calm, stable environment and sticking closely to your cat’s normal routine. Your pet’s comfort and wellbeing are my top priorities. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you provide, including special feeding schedules, medication administration, grooming routines, and play preferences. I’ll make sure your cat feels safe, cared for, and relaxed, and I’m always attentive to their behaviour and mood. I also understand how important peace of mind is for owners, so I’m very happy to send regular photo and video updates to keep you reassured while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to maintain their routine as closely as possible so they feel secure and comfortable in my care. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain their usual routine. My background working in veterinary shelters and alongside vets has made me very attentive to hygiene, safety, and recognising early signs of stress or illness, and I always prioritise your pet’s comfort and wellbeing.

About: Not only have I taken care of my own pets since I was a child, for over the past year I have dog sat for many friends and family. I am currently a final year student at Southampton university studying philosophy. This means I have a lot of spare time, and I what’s better than spending that time taking care of animals? To look after dogs, I had a gated garden and a gate at the bottom of the stairs. My rabbits had a large enclosure, the same with my chickens.

About: I have had extensive pet care experience. I had 4 cats growing up, I have also had chickens and taken care of neighbours rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs. I have had my rescue dog for 8 years now, he’s a big boy and reactive due to his past but I have worked to help this, I am happy to pet sit reactive dogs as I have experience and I am very patient. I also have a cat who I have taught tricks alongside my dog. I am currently at university and work part time so pet sitting will fit around my lecture and work schedule. Most of my availability will be weekdays in the afternoon or evening and on weekends I am available in the mornings. Please contact me before making any booking so I can make sure I am available as my lecture schedules may change! I spent a lot of time trick training with my dog who is a mixture of four working breeds so I know lots of scent and brain games to keep high drive dogs occupied. I will never give treats to dogs without asking.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life 🐾 I grew up with larger breeds and now regularly care for my mum’s three Chihuahuas (one is a Chihuahua–Jack Russell cross!), so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Dogs have truly always been a huge part of my life. I have a strong understanding of dog behaviour. When I was younger, we had Boxer dogs, one of whom required professional training. I attended those training sessions, which taught me a lot about reading dog behaviour, respecting boundaries, and understanding when a dog needs space just as much as when they want attention, play, or cuddles. I also have experience administering oral medication and am more than happy to do this for your dog, as long as clear instructions are provided. I’m open to caring for dogs with special needs and would be happy to gain more experience in this area. If your dog does have special requirements, please let me know the details so I can ensure they receive the best possible care. ⭐️ Currently offering reduced fees as I’m new to this app ⭐️ I work nights but sometimes work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility during the day and evenings. As I’m self-employed, I can adjust my schedule when needed and plan my time around your pet’s routine. I’m reliable, organised, and always make your pet’s needs, comfort, and happiness my top priority 🐾 Whether that’s sticking to feeding times, walks, playtime, or quiet company, your pet will always come first. Home Visits & Walks • For safety, I keep dogs on the lead during walks if they don’t have reliable recall. If your dog has good recall and I’ve seen this first-hand, we can absolutely revisit this once I’ve gotten to know both you and your dog. An extendable lead is a great option so they can still have plenty of freedom to explore and run around parks. • I’ll always treat your home with care and leave it just as I found it, I will wash up after myself, take bins out and change bedding, making sure you come back to your home as it was. If your dog has an accident, I’ll happily clean it up — please provide cleaning products, just in case! • For home visits and overnight stays, I’m more than happy to care for multiple dogs. When it comes to walks, however, the safety and wellbeing of your pets, myself, and the public is my top priority. For this reason, I’m able to walk a maximum of three dogs at a time (or two at a time for large breeds). In multi-dog households with more than three dogs, walks will be done in separate groups to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. For example, four dogs would be walked as two at a time, and five dogs would be walked as three first, followed by the remaining two. • Communication is important, if I feel I need to contact you about your pet or your home, I will do so without hesitation. An additional contact number of a family member, neighbour or friend is preferred incase I am unable to get hold of you. • Clear instructions about your pet, their needs and quirks is essential to ensuring your furry family is comfortable and happy while their pet parent is away. • I’m more than happy to take pictures of your pet and send you regular updates while you are away! I want you to feel relaxed knowing your pet and your home is safe while you are away. • I have a car & drivers license and I’m happy to take your pets to a preferred area for walks or change in scenery, only dogs that are well-behaved in cars and will be happy to sit securely in the back of my car (for safety reasons), this is optional of course and only after I’ve got to know your pets. Small dogs only for car trips, and a maximum of three due to having a smaller car. ⸻ Boarding • I only take one small dog at a time, so your pet gets my full attention and a calm, relaxed stay. • Your dog should be house-trained (able to let me know when they need to go outside and not have regular accidents). • Dogs are very welcome on the furniture, as long as they’re up to date with flea treatment. • Dogs are also welcome to sleep on the bed. If you’d prefer they sleep in their own bed, please feel free to provide one so they feel comfortable and at home. • There won’t be any other dogs in my household during your dog’s stay. My family dogs live with my mum most of the time. I do have a bearded dragon, who stays safely in his vivarium and will not be let out during your dog’s stay. If your dog is sensitive to small animals, please let me know so I can ensure everything remains completely separated and stress-free for everyone. • As I live in a flat, quieter dogs are preferred to keep things comfortable for both your dog and my neighbours. • I also have a small, shared ground-floor balcony area that your dog can enjoy on a lead, I prefer to take them to the park across the road where they will have more to enjoy, but my ground-floor balcony is suitable for toilet breaks and fresh air.

About: I’m a massive animal lover, from dogs to cats, rabbits, horses and everything in between. I’ve grown up surrounded by animals of all sizes but have a particular soft spot for dogs. After moving away from home for university, I’ve been missing the unmatchable company that pets give and would be honoured to give yours a little extra attention. I love a puppy, but have extra experience with senior dogs and can take walks, sits and any other services at paces that suit them. I love a bit of character and quirk, and would aim to provide the same quality of care that you provide for your own pets. I’m a university student with a flexible schedule to work around yours and your pets needs and cause minimal disruption to their schedules. I prioritise every detail of care and make it as personal as possible by carefully following all information provided and keeping communication open with the owners too. I’m a student with a flexible schedule and a car. My main priority would be to fit seamlessly into your schedule to not disrupt routine and would be happy to work around you. I’m an early riser, so love early morning walks but am also happy to accommodate activities later in the day too. I have experience house sitting holiday lets over out of season periods and have provided cleaning services, so I have a great attention to detail and am very tidy. I’m big on rule following so would never cross boundaries but have lots of love and attention to give your pets! Just let me know what you’re comfortable with and I’ll make sure to provide the rest. After having my own, very fussy princess of a senior dog I’m more than able to accommodate any quirks. I know each dog has their own personality and I’d love to get to know them to tailor how I care for them, just as you would!

About: Hi, I’m Katie. I really love all animals, especially dogs but unfortunately am not in a position at the moment to have my own. I have been pet-sitting for friends and family for the past few years, and also volunteered at an animal rescue centre for a summer in Costa Rica a few years ago which was an amazing experience! I’m looking for a lovely dog that I can take for walks and look after in your home as well if that's something that would be helpful. I'm also trying to get back in to running so a little buddy to help encourage me would be great! I look forward to hearing from you :) I’m generally available on weekday evenings and at weekends, and open to overnight stays and holidays. I work from home two days a week and in the office three days, but I'm able to pop out for toilet breaks etc. if needed I live in a flat so nowhere for anyone to escape from :) I have no other pets or children around. There is also a secure communal garden I have access to. I also live very close to Southampton Common and St James Park, so lots of lovely options for walks

About: I have two adopted animals from rescue and one girl I’ve had from a puppy. My eldest has medication and specific washing requirements so I’m used to doing that. I drive so can facilitate vet appointments if needed as required. I work from home, so can work to suit schedules and be near animals as required. I have smaller dogs myself which we can separate if this is something your animal isn’t used to. Having animals myself I understand often complex needs and requirements and can adjust to fit various circumstances as needed. I can familiarise myself with any routine required, and happy to attend beforehand as needed to speak to the owner. I was previously an estate agent, so understand how to lock property safely and take care of the owners space and privacy. I would like to think I am reliable and trustworthy such that it can be one worry less during busy times in your schedule.

About: I am a true animal lover and have looked after other's pets for years; from walking dogs and popping in to feed my neighbours cats, to dog (and cat) sitting overnight in their own space, and dog sitting overnight in my home. I have had experience looking after medium sized dogs (springer spaniels and cockerpoos) and small dogs (toy poodles), as well as a variety of ages - from 10 week old puppies to 16 year old seniors! I'm experienced in administering medication to pets (orally and drops in eyes/ears), and am comfortable washing and drying small dogs! I have endless patience, and lots of love to give, and will treat your pet as I would my own! I work shifts and am available at variable times and hours. I also have periods of study leave on occasion, which allow for longer periods of care! Caring for your pet in my home: - I have a hamster (in a cage that can be moved to another room) and guinea pig (in a large cage that is elevated and out of reach for dogs) - I live in a flat with a shared garden, but am over the road from the common (where I can take them for walks) - I allow dogs on the sofa, but if this does not fit with your rules I'm happy to enforce your training! - I drive, so can take your pet to a vet in case of emergency In your home: - I am happy to follow your usual routine as long as instructions are provided, and will stick to feeding and walking schedules to ensure your pet has as little disruption as possible - I drive, so can take your pet to a vet in case of emergency - I'm happy to brush teeth and administer medication if your pet is comfortable with this Any other questions, please ask!

Amber’s care for my cat Charlie over Christmas was exceptional. She agreed to take on feeding him at pretty short notice after I had other options fall through. Amber fed him everyday at the agreed time and sent me update pictures with a description of his mood. Amber also spent time playing with Charlie on each visit for around 30 minutes which was really important whilst I was away. Amber then successfully passed on my keys to a neighbour. I would recommend Amber to anyone. An excellent, trustworthy cat sitter.
