“Fantastic service from Georgia-Mary who looked after my 4 month old puppy for three hours. This is the first time I've used Rover. Georgia-Mary was quick to reply to messages and lovely in person. I had no worries leaving Georgia-Mary with my puppy, who took to her straight away and was super happy and relaxed when I returned. I'd definitely recommend Georgia-Mary and will be booking her again 😊”

“Elizabeth was wonderful with Bear. She was so easy to communicate with and kept me updated, which meant a lot. Knowing he was being cared for so well made the whole experience stress-free. I’d definitely recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Emily was fantastic, and took excellent care of my young lab Benji, who enjoyed himself very much by all accounts! Really professional, clearly enjoys what she does, and would highly recommend”

“Jasmine has been amazing in taking care of my very timid cat. I was nervous about leaving him with someone new, but she took wonderful care of him. To my surprise, he warmed up to her to even allow pets and was purring a lot during their interactions, which says everything about how comfortable he felt. All of his daily needs were taken care of exactly as requested, and he looked far less stressed than I had expected. She also respected all my preferences regarding how the house should be left after each visit, which I really appreciated. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the care and attention my cat received. Highly recommended!”

“Great cat sitter who lovingly looks after my 2 girls. The web site is not so great, found it impossible to reply to Gabrielle’s question. Unable to leave a 5 Star rating that Gabrielle deserves. Using iPhone 17.”
“Excellent care and attention was paid to my 3 diverse cats. Cannot fault Alexandra B,s communication to me on their interaction with her. Would opt for her at any point in the future. 👍”

“Will clearly has a passion for animals, our boy Neil could not have been in better care for our time away. Will went above and beyond, he provided us daily updates, did a few extra visits for us and we could tell he genuinely cared about Neil. I would thoroughly recommend Will to everyone, Neil loved spending time with him!”

About: All my life I have had dogs. As a child we were taught the importance of interacting with animals. Our extended family have always had dogs and cats and so it has always been a part of our lives. Life without them wouldn't be the same. Being an active outdoors person has always meant that our dogs get long walks with us. Swimming in the sea and splashing in rivers and streams is an absolute joy. Active dogs are happy dogs. I work from home which allows me to interact with my dogs on a daily basis. Routine is important and every morning the dogs get to socialize in the garden. After breakfast we get to access the nature reserve which borders our property. Access to parks, fields and the multiple countryside walks on our doorstep ensures that the dogs and I get ample fresh air, smells and exercise. Feeding times are respected and we ensure that the dogs are fed accordingly and fresh water is always available. Indoor comforts finish off most days, being it playing with some chewy toys or just chilling on the couch. We have a lovely fenced back garden with sunshine and shade. There are two doors opening onto the back garden, allowing the dogs to come and go as they please. Fetch and bring games are common so the dogs are always guaranteed some form of exercise. Outside wash area ensure muddy paws are taken care of. When feeding the dogs, we ensure there is ample distance from each other to ensure they can enjoy their meals and not worry about wolfing their food down whilst others look on. Grooming takes place in the evenings, whether it be a quick brush or just a good old ear rub.
“It's the second time Sarah looked after my furry kids and she was brilliant. Even my not very sociable cat got close to her. I definitely recommend her and will not hesitate to book again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
