What an absolute legend. Jade accommodated my request for a last minute booking and I’m so grateful. Jade is extremely tidy and followed a detailed meds plan with ease. The cats (Gertrude & Freya) both want to thank Jade too for being kind and gentle and looking after them whilst I was away on business. Don’t scroll by…..book Jade and know your animals are in safe hands.

I’m certified in pet first aid, hold a clean DBS check, and have ISCP dog walking certification. I have hands-on experience working in a zoo, kennels, and catteries, as well as fostering rescue animals. With both professional training and lifelong experience, I focus on providing safe, reliable, and high-quality care tailored to each pet’s needs. A day with me is structured around providing attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs. From walks and enrichment to feeding and visual health checks, I use my professional training and hands-on experience to ensure every animal is safe, comfortable, and engaged. Whether caring for energetic dogs, nervous rescues, or small animals, I adapt my approach to suit their individual personalities, always prioritising their wellbeing and happiness When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritise keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow your pet’s usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest, helping them feel safe and settled in their familiar environment. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and needs, whether that’s providing enrichment and exercise for active pets or a calm, patient approach for more anxious or rescue animals. I also carry out regular health and safety checks, administer basic care where needed, and ensure their space stays clean and comfortable. Throughout my visits, I focus on building trust and providing genuine companionship, so your pet feels secure and well cared for even while you’re away.

About: We are a semi retired British couple who love animals and have been full time pet/house sitters since May 2022. We are vegetarian, non smoking, and enjoy yoga, walking and travel. Together we have run a holiday letting business in SW Wales for over 15 years as well as courses for people suffering with Chronic Fatigue/M.E and stress related conditions. All of our therapy and holiday property lettings work has moved online now so we can work remotely from anywhere. This has allowed us the freedom to be full time house/pet sitters and we are loving it! We stay at pet owners homes and very rarely leave pets alone - particularly dogs. Your home will be kept tidy and spotlessly clean at all times. We are DBS checked and insured. Numerous reviews (all 5*) available on request.

About: -20 years + dog experience. -First Aid & CPR trained -Dog Nutrition diploma - Practical advice -Limited dogs at a time -Love and work with all dog breeds. -Frequent updates of tail wags and routines -Owned and have a huge passion for German Shephards. Worked with litters and managed a pack. -Always cared for friends and family members dogs. -Worked with rescue dogs and large german shephard litters. -Aware of larger dog breed care and enjoy the element of companionship that comes through training and discipline. -often found myself enjoying very rewarding experiences from farm environments with large german shephard groups to smaller breeds. All come with their own quirks, challenges and characteristics. I heartbreakingy had to nurse my German Shephard of 5 years with severe IBD and AID. I fully understand the importance of optimising animal nutrition and their longevity. I currently spend most of my time dog walking, caring for dogs and studying PT and nutrition. I have a passion and love for all dogs however i have a soft spot for the larger breeds :) I combine the 2 passions well to ensure the most appropriate care and well being is being considered when it comes to animal welfare. I adore German shephards and spent a decade enjoying time working with my own and a pack. I am independent and enjoy traveling and supporting/ providing animal care where i can. I understand the value of our animals. I study personal training and nutrition along side dog care. I am a huge advocate for health and well being. I am qualified in animak nutrition and animal first aid + CPR. Please check my calender for my availability and i look forward to hearing from you! I will fully respect and lay down the same aligned rules the owner has stated. I work around the animals needs and will dedicate study time inbetween walks and play.

Georgia-Mary was an amazing sitter for our sweet cat, Jinx! She was conscientious, thoughtful and made sure Jinx had everything she needed while we were away. She made sure she understood all feeding and care details and Jinx was calm and content when we came home. We felt completely comfortable leaving keys for her despite never meeting in person and would happily have her cat sit for us again. ☺️

Jasmine has been amazing in taking care of my very timid cat. I was nervous about leaving him with someone new, but she took wonderful care of him. To my surprise, he warmed up to her to even allow pets and was purring a lot during their interactions, which says everything about how comfortable he felt. All of his daily needs were taken care of exactly as requested, and he looked far less stressed than I had expected. She also respected all my preferences regarding how the house should be left after each visit, which I really appreciated. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the care and attention my cat received. Highly recommended!

About: Hi there! My name is Vanessa and I have been looking after dogs for over 25 years. I have owned 7 dogs in my life and had my own dog boarding business that offered a home to home setting for dogs for 10 years whilst living abroad in France. Now being back in the UK, I want to continue offering my services for any dog owner that’s in need. I have always believed that a dog should be cared for equally to the rest of the family and therefore should be treated exactly that way. Dogs are what I know best and love the most so I’m very happy to take care of them. I am also a passionate walker and having a companion is always a great pleasure. I do not work so I am able to offer full time care and attention to your pets. I have the time to care for dogs who are needing specific attention or have specific needs. I have an enclosed garden so I can always let them out as frequently as needed. I have lots of fields and forests nearby so I can offer lovely walks when needed. This is my full time job so I am able to ensure your dog gets the best care. I offer a home to home feeling for your dog. I believe it is important that your dog feels relaxed and at home when they come to stay. Every dog has his/her own needs so in order to make sure they feel settled, I am happy to go through anything they might need to feel more secure.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Test Valley pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Test Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
