Molly-Mae was fabulous with Bogart. We were really stuck and she saved the day by popping in to visit Bogart in the evening and again the following morning, sending pictures to put our mind at rest that he was ok. She asked all the right questions before the booking and made me feel comfortable that Bogart was in safe hands-I know he can be a handful as an 8 month old puppy!! Thank you Molly-Mae!

Hilary looked after our cat David, popping in regularly to feed and play with him. We've never had a cat sitter before, she was very reassuring on meeting her and kept us informed and updated during the week.

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life, caring for a wide range of breeds, from Labradors and German Shepherds to Mastiffs, Dogue de Bordeaux, and Staffie crosses. I have owned both male and female dogs and have experience managing multiple dogs at once, including caring for three female dogs together, balancing their individual needs, routines, and personalities while ensuring a calm and structured environment. I currently have a male French Bulldog puppy, Bugs, with my partner. Together, we have enjoyed plenty of adventures such as beaches, woodlands, and botanical gardens, while also focusing on training, including basic commands, potty training, and crate training. I am more than happy to support your dog or puppy with training routines to keep things consistent. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, including small breeds, puppies, senior dogs, and large breeds over 50kg. Because of this, I am confident in reading dog behaviour and body language, allowing me to tailor care to each dog’s personality and comfort level. I always prioritise a stress free environment and can choose quieter walking routes if your dog prefers to avoid social interactions. I also have experience administering medication, including caring for my own dog during gastroenteritis, so I am comfortable supporting dogs with additional care needs. I have access to my own car, which allows me to be flexible for transport, emergencies, or last minute bookings when available. Please let me know about your dog’s temperament, any reactivity to other dogs, or any special requirements during booking. I am happy to accommodate and ensure your dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. I currently work part time, usually Mondays and Tuesdays, which gives me flexibility throughout the rest of the week. I am available for walks and drop ins around five days a week and can often accommodate different times. I always aim to be as flexible as possible, so please feel free to message me to discuss your needs and I will do my best to accomodate this (can possibly swap days at work if I am able to). Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a large garden that is fenced at the back and sides, and I always supervise dogs closely when outside. I currently have a young puppy at home, so I am very mindful of creating a calm and controlled environment, with careful introductions depending on your pets temperament. I am experienced in reading pet behaviour and will always ensure your pet feels safe and at ease. For dogs: I can provide crate support if needed and will follow your dog’s routine closely to keep them relaxed and well cared for.

John was amazing with Thor. I am a “pet mum” full of requests and reminders , lists on the wall and especially i request a continues update. John gave me everything I requested and he was really caring and affectionate with Thor🥰 I was a little apprehensive about many things cause although Thor is not a Huge dog is anyway a dog of a certain size, I have nothing but good words about him and I will for sure book him again in the future.

About: I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages. I’ve bred Chihuahua puppies and have owned a variety of breeds, giving me insight into every stage of a dog’s life — from playful, energetic puppies to wise senior dogs. This experience means I understand puppy training, socialisation, and the special care senior dogs require, including patience, gentle handling, and attention to their health needs. I treat every dog as a family member, providing care, love, and consistency to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away. I used to be a housewife and a dog breeder, dedicating much of my time to raising my children and caring for animals. Now that I’m no longer working or breeding, I have plenty of time to devote to other pets. Caring for animals is my passion, and I can provide consistent attention, companionship, and hands-on care throughout the day or week. Whether it’s feeding, walking, administering medications, or simply giving love and playtime, I can fit pet care seamlessly into my daily routine, treating every pet as a valued member of my family. When pet sitting in a pet owner’s home, I treat your pets and your home with the utmost care and respect. I follow your routines closely, feeding, walking, playtime, and any medication schedules, so your pets feel comfortable and secure in your absence. I spend quality time with them, providing companionship, affection, and attention just as I would for my own animals. I also ensure your home stays tidy and safe, keeping feeding areas, litter trays, and play spaces clean and well-maintained. My goal is to make both pets and owners feel completely at ease while you’re away.

Having grown up with a Weimaraner and being 6ft myself - I have no trouble caring for larger breeds of dogs. I have over 10 years experience walking and looking after other peoples dogs. As I am working full time I only currently have availability to board on the weekends however I will be available for walks/boarding during half-terms and holidays so please do reach out! I am conveniently based in central Winchester and have an outside fenced garden. I’m working full time however as a teacher I have availability during school holidays so please reach out! I’m available on weekends from Friday evening to Sunday. I have a fenced garden. I walk dogs individually unless I am looking after two from the same home. To ensure your dog is kept safe happy I avoid walking on routes near main roads nor let them off the lead whilst in my care.

Jane has been fantastic with our 7 month old puppy, Merlin. She has been very understanding and attentive of Merlin's needs and behaviours as an adolescent puppy and looked after him really well. She was very knowledgable and experienced. She took time to listen to us about Merlin’s care and has followed what we said. Merlin was very happy and I would definitely recommend Jane for any pet care as she has done a great job with Merlin, thank you Jane ☺️

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Winchester pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Winchester choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
