“Kim was super helpful and friendly, plus she managed to befriend my cat Jackie who isn't usually a fan of strangers/humans in general! Was great to get daily pictures on the check-in visits. 5/5”

About: I have grown up around many animals all my life. I am very compassionate to care for them and to meet their needs. Since moving out of the family home, I have my own cat, Benji, who is very energetic, mischievous, I adore coming home to seeing him. During my time living in my family home, I had numerous cats and 1 dog, who was a puppy when we brought him, he is a dalmadoodle. I enjoyed training him with my parents. I am a swimming teacher working predominantly with babies and toddlers between the hours of 10-12 and 3:30-5, and have a lot of time during the day to play with your animals, give them walks and give them the best life. I will care for pets in their home by being there for them when they would like to play, go for a walk or go to the toilet and food times! I will care for them like they are my own pet.
“Jasmine watched our two kitties for a week and did an amazing job, as we received daily updates with photos. I was so relieved to see they really liked and trusted her, as one of them is quite scared and usually doesn't come out for strangers. I could tell she did some cleaning, as well, which was greatly appreciated.”

“Really pleased with Molly looking after our cat and rabbits. She clearly spent time time playing with Pixie and keeping her company during her visits as Pixie wasn’t that bothered that we had been away. Pixie has made a new friend!”

About: Hi, I’m Daniel — a compassionate and reliable pet sitter based in Southampton. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, including dogs, cats and small pets, and they’ve always been a huge source of joy for me. There’s something special about being around animals and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for. I’ve looked after pets for friends, family and colleagues, including dogs, cats and rabbits. Whether it’s an energetic dog who needs a good walk, a nervous pet who needs patience, or a senior animal who needs a gentler approach, I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs. I’m naturally calm, attentive and caring, but also playful when the situation calls for it. I genuinely love what I do, and nothing beats seeing a pet relaxed, happy and thriving in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I work from home most of the week, which gives me good flexibility during the day. I’m typically available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends, and I’m able to plan my schedule around visits, walks or check-ins to make sure pets get consistent care and attention. Because of this flexibility, I can also adapt to different routines, whether that’s morning visits, evening care, or multiple check-ins throughout the day. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always prioritise keeping their routine and environment as familiar and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow all instructions provided, from feeding and walks to any specific behaviours or needs, and I make sure pets feel comfortable and secure in their own space. I’m respectful of the home, keep everything clean and tidy, and ensure doors, gates and any safety measures are properly managed at all times. I stay attentive to each pet’s behaviour and wellbeing, and I’m always prepared to respond calmly if anything unexpected arises. I also keep owners updated regularly, so they can feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for.
“Kerry was amazing, helped me out last minute when I needed someone to look in on my cat Bella. Bella took to her straight away and I received updates and photos each day. It was reassuring to know she was happy and cared for while we were away. I would have no hesitation rebooking or recommending Kerry to a friend.”

“Fantastic service from Georgia-Mary who looked after my 4 month old puppy for three hours. This is the first time I've used Rover. Georgia-Mary was quick to reply to messages and lovely in person. I had no worries leaving Georgia-Mary with my puppy, who took to her straight away and was super happy and relaxed when I returned. I'd definitely recommend Georgia-Mary and will be booking her again 😊”

“Jane has been fantastic with our 7 month old puppy, Merlin. She has been very understanding and attentive of Merlin's needs and behaviours as an adolescent puppy and looked after him really well. She was very knowledgable and experienced. She took time to listen to us about Merlin’s care and has followed what we said. Merlin was very happy and I would definitely recommend Jane for any pet care as she has done a great job with Merlin, thank you Jane ☺️”

“Thank you Hilary for being available at such short notice and willing to drop in on Maple, keeping us updated with pictures and she seemed very content when we got back”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life, caring for a wide range of breeds, from Labradors and German Shepherds to Mastiffs, Dogue de Bordeaux, and Staffie crosses. I have owned both male and female dogs and have experience managing multiple dogs at once, including caring for three female dogs together, balancing their individual needs, routines, and personalities while ensuring a calm and structured environment. About: Hi I'm Becky, I know our furry friends are more than just pets—they're family, and they deserve to be treated with all the love, care, and attention they get at home. I've grown up with dogs since I was five years old, so being around them has always been a huge part of my life. I've also owned cats, rabbits, hamsters, and even a bearded dragon, so I've always loved caring for animals. After recently moving into my own flat, I know now isn't quite the right time to have a dog of my own. That's why I'd love to care for yours! Whether it's a walk, a play session, or plenty of cuddles, I'll make sure they're happy, safe, and loved while you're away. I work in a nursing home, so being caring, patient, and responsible comes naturally. I'm also enhanced DBS checked, giving you extra peace of mind that your furry family member is in safe hands. I can't wait to meet you and your four-legged best friend! 🐶❤️ I work full-time, Monday to Friday, usually from 8am to 4pm, and I'm based locally to my home. This means I'm available for local drop-in visits/walks before work, as well as any time after work in the evenings. I'm also available throughout the weekends, making it easy to provide flexible care that fits around you and your pet's routine. When caring for your pet, I'll follow their usual routine to help them feel comfortable, happy, and relaxed. Whether that's feeding, walkng, playtime or simply giving them lots of love and attention, I'll care for them as if they were my own. I understand that inviting someone into your home is a big deal, so I'll always treat your home with the utmost respect and care, leaving it exactly as I found it. My goal is to provide the best possible care for your pet while giving you complete peace of mind while you're away.🏡

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
