Frances was amazing with Jasper. She helped me out in a last-minute bind when I needed care. Communicated during each drop-in and shared photos. Would definitely recommend her. <3

Cats were well looked after, relaxed and ate well. They were fed, given fresh water and their litter trays dealt with as requested. Home was left tidy and the rubbish was taken out. She even put our wheelie bin out ready for rubbish collection. Great service. Much nicer than putting the cats in a cattery. Easy to organise and had regular messages with pictures to reassure us that everything was fine. Would definitely use again.

Charlotte came to look after our 3 playful kitties and they clearly loved their time with her! She fed and played with them and kept us updated with lots of pictures of our furr babies. She did a introductory visit to meet the cats and find out where all their stuff was in the house too. Very professional and friendly throughout our experience with her. Thank you, Charlotte!

About: I grew up with family pets and now I have my own furry family. I absolutely adore dogs and cats. I have 2 cats of my own. I live with my children in elson. I love long walks, in all weathers and I take pride in looking after animals. My children are at school/nursery during the week, except the baby who is with me 24/7. I have dogs that I walk on a regular basis once or twice a week depending on their booking. I am open to being flexible but I do need to work it round my schedule with childcare etc. We have a secure big garden with high fences and a secure gate. Access to the garden is easy as we have a sliding door.

About: I share my home with my calm and gentle 14 year-old mixed breed dog, Sonny. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved pet in someone else’s care, and I will always do my utmost to make both you and your dog feel comfortable, reassured, and happy throughout their stay. My home is best suited to calm, relaxed dogs who enjoy a peaceful environment. To keep things stress-free and personalised, I only board one guest dog at a time alongside Sonny. This allows me to give your dog plenty of attention, affection, supervision, and a consistent routine. Your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive regular toilet breaks, companionship, cuddles, and care throughout the day. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and bed if that is what they are used to at home, and I will always try to follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel settled and secure. We are lucky to have lovely nearby walking areas including the beach, Alver Valley, and surrounding nature areas. I also have a fully secure fenced garden with CCTV for added peace of mind. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering oral medication if required. I am also happy to provide regular photo and message updates during your dog’s stay so you can relax knowing they are safe, loved, and well cared for. Please let me know about your dog’s personality, routine, and any special requirements before booking. My home is not suitable for very high-energy or hyperactive dogs, as I aim to maintain a calm and relaxed environment for Sonny and any visiting dogs. I look forward to welcoming your dog into our peaceful, happy home 🐶💕 I am available to board your dog any day of the week in my home. I am also available for walks or drop in visits. I have a secure fenced garden with CCTV. I will mimic however you care for your dog to avoid disrupting their routine as much as possible.

About: I have taken care of dogs since a young age, and grew up with 2 Maltese Shih Tzu's Ralph and Frankie. I walked, fed and most importantly cuddled them everyday. I now live with an adorable beagle, bursting with energy. I have dog and cat sat for family and friends multiple times since the age of 17, so have plenty experience with all types of dogs. While I have less experience with cats, I still love to look after them and give them just as much love (when they want it!). Hire me if you want a friendly and reliable pet sitter! I work full time Monday-Friday 8:30-17:00 typically. I am able to offer attention/walking/feeding in the morning, during my afternoon lunch break and all evening. On the weekends, I'm fully free to give you pets all my attention. I can offer your animals safety as I am used to living in environments where pets are the main focus. I would treat your home with care and respect to ensure you come back to your home just how you left it.

About: Me and my partner Ben, 25 & 28 have both had pets our whole lives. We have loads of free time in the day and would love to look after your pets! I also have an enhanced DBS. We have free time in the days and weekends, one of us can always be home, and we have so much free time for walks and playing! We have a fenced off back garden with plenty of space, and shade. Lots of space indoors, nice and secure. And a lovely walk nearby. The gates to the garden are padlocked, and the house is alarmed.

About: I have a 6 y.o German Shepard dog, love him to bits! I know how to treat big, working and serious dog breeds for sure. Love to train dogs some new tricks and go on long distance walks. My best achievement is a calm dog on the leash and without it 😌👏 My confidence grows each year, I’m not scared of challenges. I have a remote job with flexible schedule and I combine it very well with having a dog. I have plenty of time to keep the dog entertained and for 2-3 normal walks per day. I can be a stay in sitter, and would be OK with the rules of the dog owner’s house😌 The most important is comfort for dog and no stress

About: Hello, I’m a part-time freelance Graphic Designer who works from home, but I very often find myself twiddling my thumbs during the day, so I have lots of spare time to care for your dogs! I’ve always been a huge lover of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I owned a very lovely, lively border collie, so have plenty of experience looking after and walking highly energetic and intelligent dogs that require lots of attention, play and exercise. I’ve also been part of another dog walking service for a few years and active on Rover for 5 years, so I have lots of experience looking after other people’s dogs and know how to make sure they are happy and at ease in a new and strange environment. I’m a very active and outdoor-loving person, so very happy to take dogs on long countryside walks as well as city strolls. I can be very flexible with bookings and hope to get in contact with owners on a long term basis. Hope to meet you and your pets soon! I work part time, so I have plenty of time to look after your pet, and love to take the time for a decent walk on the beach or in the woods so everyone gets lots of fresh air and exercise every day. I have a toddler in childcare three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday), so on these days I will need to factor in drop off and pick up. Otherwise my schedule is very flexible. I have a safe fenced garden with lots of plants and lawn for dogs to enjoy. My house is open plan so dogs will never feel shut off or left alone anywhere.

About: I have been a proud dog owner since I was young. I currently have two dogs a greyhound and a collie. Both enjoy long walks and regular exercise. I enjoy teaching them some cool tricks and we visit some lovely places such as the beach, woods and local parks.I have taken care of puppies right through to elderly dogs and have experience with challenging and reactive dogs. I work from home a lot and can accommodate around your needs. I spend a lot of time with my dogs and we have exercise everyday fitted into the daily routine I am happy to care for your pups with arrangement in advance. I can offer walks, feeds, daily checks, exercise, and overnight care- please note I offer a 15 min meet and greet at your home or locally if you are a new client to observe your pets where they are most comfortable and to discuss how you would like me to care for your pet and the duties you wish me to do. All dogs will be walked separately. I am flexible and can work from home a lot. I am able to offer short stays at present such as long weekends for day care or sitting depending on dates and preferences. Please bear in mind the house sitting hours schedule I currently work on is 8pm/9pm-8am/9am (distance dependent) and if you require an additional drop in visit/walk throughout the day time this will usually be mid/late afternoon for 30 minutes-1 hour before returning to your property in the evening to sit overnight. I do not offer 24/7 in the home during the day time when house sitting due to outside commitments but they will be exercised well and receive great interaction throughout. Please e sure this is the correct house sitting schedule for your pets before you book to avoid disappointment as I cannot guarantee I can remain in your home all day on a house sit without going out for a short while. Dependent on distance petrol/travel costs will be additional charge (usually 10 miles plus) I have a garden and have access to close by parks, beach and woodland areas. We often drive to the woods or hills if we want a longer walk. I have private sitter insurance. I work but can be flexible. I offer a lot more free time over weekends and half terms dependent on the needs of the dog. I do not offer home boarding at this time. I do enjoy offering house sitting in your home subject to dates and needs of the pet.

About: I have had dogs/pets since I was a little girl, love all dogs, always bond well. I used to work at the local doggy day care and loved every second. Always went the extra mile to make sure they were extra happy! I do work in the military so my days/weeks can change last minute. I do work 8-4 Monday through to Thursdays and till 12 on Fridays. I do try to keep my calendar up to date, but if you do have any questions regarding my availability and catering to you, just let me know and I can see what I can do! :) Please note, as of 01 September I will be based in Birmingham so there is a high possibility that I won’t be available. But I may be back on the odd weekend/leave periods. I have my own place and open to taking care of your pets in my home. I’m always polite and respectful of others homes. I have been asked in previous years to look after other pets, such as cats and rabbit.

About: I’m a caring and experienced pet sitter with over 3 years of hands-on experience looking after a wide range of animals. I’ve cared for multi-dog households, multi-cat homes (including sphynx, domestic shorthair and ragdolls), as well as puppies and dogs of all sizes—from small pugs right through to a XL bullies. I’ve also looked after chickens, although I’ve realised this isn’t my favourite type of care. Over the years, I’ve built up a lovely, loyal group of regular clients, and I take real pride in providing calm, reliable, and attentive care that’s tailored to each pet’s individual personality and needs. I’m fully insured with Protectivity and always use contracts and Veterinary Release forms for every booking, so everything is clear, professional, and covered in case of emergencies. At the moment, I’m gently shifting my focus towards drop-in visits, local daytime care, and occasional dog walking, as I’m aiming to spend more time at home. For dog walks, I’m best suited to dogs who walk nicely on the lead, or who have flawless recall, as I’m unable to safely manage strong pulling due to my own health needs. Pet care fits into my schedule alongside my other commitments, and I plan my bookings carefully to make sure each pet gets the time and attention they deserve. I offer flexibility for drop-in visits, local day care, and dog walks, and I keep my calendar updated so clients can rely on my availability. As I’m currently focusing more on staying at home, I am selective with bookings to ensure I can provide consistent, calm, and unhurried care for every pet I look after Got it — this is your “experience” section, so we want it confident, clear, and slightly curated so it feels professional without oversharing. Here’s a polished Rover bio paragraph based on what you wrote: I have over 3 years of experience as a professional pet sitter, caring for a wide range of animals including multi-dog households, multi-cat homes (including sphynx, domestic shorthair and ragdolls), puppies, and dogs of all sizes from pugs through to XL bullies. I have also cared for chickens, although I found this wasn’t my preferred area of care. I have built a steady, regular client base through my pet sitting work and take pride in providing calm, reliable, and attentive care tailored to each animal’s needs. At present, I am shifting my focus towards drop-in visits, local daytime care, and dog walking, as I am looking to spend more time at home. For dog walking, I am best suited to dogs who walk calmly on lead, as I am unable to safely manage strong pulling due to my own health needs. If you want, I can also: make it sound more “warm and Rover-friendly” shorten it for a tighter profile or turn it into a full bio that converts better for bookings (headline + intro + experience + services) Make it sound more warm and Rover-friendly Here’s a warmer, more Rover-friendly version that still keeps it professional but feels more inviting and personal: I’m a caring and experienced pet sitter with over 3 years of hands-on experience looking after a wide range of animals. I’ve cared for multi-dog households, busy multi-cat homes (including sphynx, domestic shorthair and ragdolls), as well as puppies and dogs of all sizes—from small pugs right through to XL bullies. I’ve also looked after chickens, although I’ve realised this isn’t my favourite type of care. For dog walks, I’m best suited to dogs who walk nicely on the lead, as I’m unable to safely manage strong pulling due to my own health needs. If you want, I can also help you add a really strong closing line (the bit that often makes people click “book”), or trim this down so it fits Rover’s ideal bio length perfectly. I'm insured with Protectivity and always have a contract and Veterinary Release documents in place in case of emergencies Great addition — that really boosts trust, especially on Rover. Here’s your warm, Rover-friendly bio with that included smoothly: I’m a caring and experienced pet sitter with over 3 years of hands-on experience looking after a wide range of animals. I’ve cared for multi-dog households, busy multi-cat homes (including sphynx, domestic shorthair and ragdolls), as well as puppies and dogs of all sizes—from small pugs right through to XL bullies. For dog walks, I’m best suited to dogs who walk nicely on the lead, as I’m unable to safely manage strong pulling due to my own health needs. If you want, I can next help you make a short “Rover intro blurb” (the bit people see first in search results), which can really help you stand out. The headline needa to be less than 35 characters please Got it — 35 characters is tight, so we need something punchy and clear. Here are strong options that fit: Best all-round choice: Drop-ins & Dog Walking Care Other good options: Reliable Drop-ins & Dog Walking Experienced Drop-ins & Walks Pet Care: Drop-ins & Walks Calm Drop-ins & Dog Walking Trusted Drop-ins & Walks If you want something that still hints at experience but stays clean and Rover-friendly, I’d go with: 👉 Drop-ins & Dog Walking Care If you want, I can tailor it to sound slightly more “premium”, more “friendly neighbour”, or more “high-end professional”—depending on the kind of clients you want to attract. Need a separate blurb for my experience with cats Bald or fluffy, I love all cats. I have 2 outdoor and 1 indoor cats so used to litter trays and disposing of mice, bat's and newts. I've cared for sphynx cats, peterbalds and a ragdoll many times and helped socialise cats at the RSPCA. I can administer oral medication, flea and tick treatments or just watch them while they sleep in the sunshine and try not to smoosh them :D This is lovely already — just needs a gentle polish to make it flow smoothly and feel a bit more professional while keeping your personality. Here’s a Rover-ready version: Bald or fluffy, I love all cats. I have experience caring for both indoor and outdoor cats of my own, so I’m very familiar with litter trays and the less glamorous side of cat care, including the occasional “gift” of mice, bats, or newts. I’ve cared for sphynx cats, peterbalds, and ragdolls many times, and I’ve also helped socialise cats through RSPCA work. I’m confident administering oral medication as well as flea and tick treatments where needed. Otherwise, I’m just as happy to keep them company while they nap in the sunshine and quietly admire them (without disturbing their very important sleep schedule!). If you want, I can also make a shorter version for Rover’s “quick intro” section, or a slightly more formal one if you want to appeal to higher-end cat-only clients. My healdine was "happy to be a cat slave" I get the vibe you’re going for, but I’d strongly avoid “cat slave” on Rover. It can come across a bit unprofessional and may put off more cautious clients (even if cat people would get the joke). Here are some warmer, safer alternatives that still keep the playful tone: Playful + Rover-friendly: Happy to Serve Your Cats Cat Lover & Trusted Sitter Happiest in Cat Company Dedicated Cat Companion At Your Cats’ Service Cat Care with Love & Respect Best balance (fun but still professional): 👉 Happiest in Cat Company If you want something slightly cheekier but still safe: 👉 Professional Cat Admirer (Fully Willing to Be Ignored) If you tell me the vibe you want (cute, luxury, funny, or super professional), I can fine-tune it even further so it matches your profile perfectly. It says to make it short, descriptive and genuine Perfect — that instruction actually helps a lot. For Rover, “short, descriptive and genuine” works best when it sounds calm, confident, and not trying too hard. Here are strong headline options that fit that brief: Best overall: Cat Lover & Experienced Sitter Other solid options: Caring Cat Sitter with 3+ Years Experience Calm, Reliable Cat Care Experienced Cat Sitter & Animal Lover Gentle, Trusted Cat Care Provider Dedicated Cat Care & Home Visits If you want the closest feel to your original personality without sounding risky or unprofessional, I’d go with: 👉 Cat Lover & Experienced Sitter It’s simple, honest, and instantly tells people what they need to know without any friction. If you want, I can also align your dog + cat headlines so your whole Rover profile feels consistent and really clickable in search results. Ita now asking how does pet care fit into my schedule This is your chance to reassure without overcommitting — Rover wants to know you’re reliable, but also that you won’t overbook or cancel. Here’s a warm, honest answer you can use: Pet care fits into my schedule alongside my other commitments, and I plan my bookings carefully to make sure each pet gets the time and attention they deserve. I offer flexibility for drop-in visits, local day care, and dog walks, and I keep my calendar updated so clients can rely on my availability. As I’m currently focusing more on staying at home, I am selective with bookings to ensure I can provide consistent, calm, and unhurried care for every pet I look after. If you want a slightly shorter version: I plan my pet care around my other commitments and keep my schedule updated to ensure reliability. I focus on drop-ins, local day care, and dog walks, and I’m selective with bookings so I can give each pet calm, consistent attention. If you want, I can also tailor this to subtly reduce expectations around frequency (so you don’t get overbooked or pushed back into full sits). Ads do not influence the answers you get from ChatGPT. Your chats stay private. Learn about ads and personalization I offer sitting services in your home, where your pet feels comfortable. I like to keep your pets in the routine that you have them in. I send multiple picture and video updates daily and maps of routes we have walked including dates, times and length. I will only take on larger dogs that are allowed off lead, or that don't pull when on lead, due to having chronic pain and shoulder and back instability as this ensures I can keep them safe to the best of my ability. I always keep your dog safe by putting them on lead if another walker has their dog on lead, to ensure both dogs are kept safe and I can easily control any situations that may arise. My time is fully focused on being with your pet for the duration of the sit, so your pet would very rarely spend time alone during a sit. I like pet parents to write down times for feeding and walks, knowledge of their pets favourite toys or places to go and any behaviours I should be aware of . I ask where they're allowed access to in your home and what makes them happiest. This is really strong content already — it just needs tightening, smoothing, and making it feel more “Rover-professional” (clear, confident, less repetitive, and slightly softer in tone while keeping your boundaries firm). Here’s a polished version you can use: I offer in-home pet sitting where your pet can stay comfortable in their own routine and familiar surroundings. I follow your usual schedule as closely as possible and aim to keep things calm, consistent, and reassuring for your pet. I provide regular updates throughout each booking, including multiple photo and video messages. For dog walks, I can also share route information with timings and duration so you know exactly what your pet has been up to. Your pet’s safety is always my priority. I will only take on larger dogs who are either safe off lead or do not pull on the lead, due to my own chronic pain and shoulder/back instability. This ensures I can handle them safely and provide the best possible care. I also take a cautious approach on walks and will always put dogs on lead around other dogs who are already leashed to help avoid any risk and keep everyone safe. During sits, my focus is fully on your pet, so they will rarely be left alone. I like to work closely with owners beforehand and appreciate clear guidance on feeding times, walk routines, favourite toys or places, and any behaviours I should be aware of. I also ask about house access and what makes your pet happiest, so I can make their time as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you want, I can also: make this shorter (Rover often prefers a more compact version) or soften the “medical limitation” line slightly while keeping it clear and safe or make it more “premium sitter” sounding if you’re aiming for higher-paying clients Make this shorter Here’s a shorter, tighter version that keeps everything important but reads more smoothly for Rover: I offer in-home pet sitting so your pet can stay comfortable in their own routine and familiar surroundings. I follow their usual schedule as closely as possible and aim to keep things calm, consistent, and reassuring. I provide regular updates throughout each booking, including photos and videos. For dog walks, I can also share route, timing, and duration details. Your pet’s safety is always my priority. Due to chronic pain and shoulder/back instability, I can only take on larger dogs who are either safe off lead or do not pull on the lead, as this allows me to care for them safely and confidently. I also take a cautious approach on walks and will ensure dogs are kept on lead around other leashed dogs for everyone’s safety. During sits, my focus is fully on your pet, and they are very rarely left alone. I work closely with owners beforehand to understand feeding routines, walk schedules, favourite things, and any important behaviours, so I can provide the most tailored care possible. If you want, I can make one even slightly punchier (more search-friendly) or one that softens the health limitation line further while still protecting you. Make one even slightly punchier (more search-friendly) Here’s a punchier, more search-friendly version that keeps it clear, structured, and Rover-optimised: In-home pet sitting focused on keeping your pet comfortable in their own routine and familiar surroundings. I provide calm, consistent care and follow your usual schedule as closely as possible. Regular updates are included throughout each booking, with photos and videos. For dog walks, I can also provide route, timing, and duration details. Safety is always a priority. Due to chronic pain and shoulder/back instability, I only take on larger dogs who are either safe off lead or do not pull on the lead, or will arrange to book a private field, as this ensures I can handle them safely and confidently. I also keep dogs on lead around other leashed dogs to maintain control and safety for everyone. I have seat belts for attaching to harnesses in my car. I’m fully present during sits, so pets are very rarely left alone. I work closely with owners beforehand to understand routines, feeding, walks, preferences, and any behavioural notes to provide tailored, reliable care.

Paige stepped in to help us at the last moment on a bank holiday weekend after our plans fell apart. She met our dogs and they loved her. She went above and beyond for us all weekend. The dogs were so happy and therefore so were we. We asked so much of Paige and she delivered more than we could possibly have wished for. Thank you thank you Amazing job.

Frances was amazing with Jasper. She helped me out in a last-minute bind when I needed care. Communicated during each drop-in and shared photos. Would definitely recommend her. <3

Rhea was amazing as always! She looked after Pippi perfectly and gave us an update every day with photos and a little summary to let us know how she was getting on. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rhea, she does a fab job every time she checks in on Pips for us ☺️

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Gosport pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gosport choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
