We had a few laughs about Archie's antics for attention and Qi sent some lovely pictures of Archie with herself and her husband. When I collected Archie, it was clear that he had been very happy with Qi and her husband and they expressed how much they had loved having him to stay. “This is the first time that I have required a dog sitter for my Cocker Spaniel -Freya . I was drawn to Eleanor’s advertisement because she loves dogs but does not at present have a dog and does not intend to have more than one dog in a sitting. I immediately knew that Freya would get a lot of love and attention. After our first pre- sit dog walk I knew I had struck gold. Eleanor not only understands dogs but dog owners too. By the time I went on holiday I was totally confident and at ease with the booking. Now that I have picked Freya up I am delighted to see the relationship they have and I can see that Freya has been happy and well cared for. I couldn’t recommend Dawn more highly, and will certainly work with her again anytime we need somewhere for Sage to stay. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
