“Andy's awesome at what he does. I left Dukey with him for a week and then again for a night, lots of cuddles and updates throughout the day. He also makes sure to provide reassurance where needed instead of making it a panic situation overall if your pet feels a bit off, will definitely book again for Dukey!!”

“Sophie was able to help out last minute after being let down. From start to finish the whole experience was great. Replies were prompt, with fair prices and I was very happy with the way Odin settled in straight away. I was kept up to date with check ins over the booking period and would friendly has again when needed.”
“Mabel recently stayed with Joanne and her family. I sent her packing (a little nervous due to it being my first rover) and with a million warnings about what she MIGHT do! 🤣 Turns out Mabel was an absolute dream so they must have been brilliant at looking after her. I had regular updates and pictures. Timings were sorted out easily and we kept in touch via Whatsapp. Joanne has a really secure garden - which made me feel so much more comfortable leaving her there. It felt like a home from home setting. I have two children of my own and Joanne's two seemed to love her as much as her own. They were super excited to have her. She was allowed upstairs and just slipped into their family life. She had plenty of walks and was fed well. I wouldn't hesitate at using Jo again! Thanks guys! 🐾🐾”

“Our labrador had a fabulous time with Murali and his family while we were away this summer. They were so kind and caring, and looked after her beautifully, sending us daily pictures, videos and messages. We are so grateful to them for welcoming her into their home and family life - we know she would love to visit again! Thanks again, Murali.”

“Ted & Bentley had their first sleepover with Monica at the weekend. Safe to say they got thoroughly spoilt and came home shattered and happy. From initial meet, drop off and pick up Monica was great, very welcoming and was great with both pups. They will definitely be back soon.”

“Gracie was obviously very happy in Eleanor's care. She is usually wary of new people but a walk with some water splashing and a session of ball throwing in the garden made all the difference. I'll be very happy to use Eleanor's services again”

“Louise was a brilliant sitter. She kept us informed throughout Calypso's stay and we received lots of pics and videos. I couldn't ask for a better dog Auntie and the girls were really great too! Loved meeting you all and Calypso had such a good time she seemed a little disappointed to be home, for a couple of minutes, until she remembered how much she loves her garden!”

“Teddy was a very happy and tired boy when picked up from Shelley’s place. Was very responsive with messages and got regular updates throughout the day. Would love for Shelley to look after Teddy again!”

“Shadia was absolutely brilliant looking after Buddy for five days while I was away. From start to finish, nothing was ever too much trouble, and it was clear he was in really good hands. Buddy was genuinely well looked after and clearly well loved during his stay. I got regular updates with loads of photos of him out on walks and relaxing at her home, and he looked so happy and settled the whole time – which says everything. It made going away so much easier knowing he was being cared for like one of her own. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shadia and will definitely be using her again.”

About: Hiya👋 I'm Gayle and I was Mr Ziggy Whippet's companion for 13 years, he was a beautiful brindle who sadly passed in May age 13.5. Ziggy was very nervous but with lots of love and gentle encouragement he made many dog and human friends in the Lordswood community. Kindness, love and empathy for animals is at the core of my beliefs and I will treat your dog with all of the above. I feel more comfortable with one dog at a time unless the dogs live together. I regularly walk my friends Lurcher Bluey, he is a happy and confident dog and enjoys off lead time, if your dog is not ok off the lead I am happy to book a secure field so he/she can have a good zoomies. I have a daughter who is 14 and she adores dogs too, she is sensible, kind and accommodating to the needs of different doggy characters. I work part-time as a Special Needs Passenger Assistant, I'm out the house mon to fri 8am to 9.30am and then 2.20pm to 4pm. I am then around for the rest of the day when I have a dog staying. I'm free all weekend. I have a fenced garden and also live right next to the woods in a quiet neighbourhood. I am happy for dogs to go on the sofa and beds.

“Nala had a great time with Sean. He took her on long walks and kept us updated with pictures throughout her stay. I would highly recommend Sean if you’re considering a sitter for your dog!”

About: I have been around dogs ever since I was a baby. My nan cared for retired guide dogs for around 20 years, so I developed a strong love and adoration for dogs. My family has owned 2 dogs since I was a child, sadly our last dog passed away 2 years ago and my family and I have felt like a part of us has been missing ever since. No dog could replace our sweet Lionel, he was the most special dog ever, but I decided to start up a dog boarding business as a way to still surround us with dogs. I have looked after friends and family’s dogs many times as favours before I started my business and that’s what really pushed me to have the confidence to do this as a job. If you choose to have me as your dog boarder, you can be assured that your dog will be treated like family and will be given so much love and care. I am available everyday of the week as this is my sole job. I do volunteer most mornings of the week, however I live in a house of 6 people so it is very rare that no one is home. I am fully licensed by Southampton City Council, so my house and garden have been completely approved and catered to suit dog boarding. I also have a Canine First Aid certification, full insurance and DBS checked.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Romsey is £35
Dog owners share their Rover experiences – Romsey
Amber was great, she communicated really well and came round for a pre visit to make sure we were comfortable with leaving our dog with her. She sent pictures throughout the day and kept us reassured that our dog was ok. Would definitely recommend Amber for looking after your pets.

Lorraine is absolutely brilliant. We're always happy to leave our cockapoo with her. Lorraine has had him for day visits and an overnight stay and he's always very well looked after. We get lots of updates, communication is always great and we return back to a very happy dog. Our favourite Rover sitter by a mile!

I honestly don’t think there is a better person to look after dogs! Charlotte and Bonnie were perfectly matched and Charlotte kept us updated with how much fun our little cutie was having along the way I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Charlotte to look after your pup. To be honest, Charlotte is what Rover was created for! Thank you so much again! See you next time!
