Cat Sitter in Southampton Area 🐈
Heya! I’ve shared my life with cats since I was 12, and cat sitting is something I’ve done for many years—and truly love. I adore animals in general, but cats… well, cats are special! I also look after dogs, although I tend to do so less often. I work in the NHS as a dietitian and split my time between my role and pet sitting (which I love). I make sure to follow your pet’s routine closely, providing excellent care so you can relax and not worry while you’re away. Feel free to message me—I’m always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so I can get to know you and your 🐶🐱 before confirming a booking. My calendar is regularly updated. I’m usually available for last-minute bookings, and even when I’m busier than usual, I’ll always try to make something work—so don’t hesitate to get in touch!

I’m currently not taking pets into my own home, so I’m happy to stay at the owner’s home instead. I understand this requires trust, and I’m always respectful of your space—any boundaries or house rules can be fully discussed during our meet-and-greet before confirming a booking.

Maria communicated with me clearly and made sure that Darko and Hendrix received the best care. She sent me timely updates and even spent extra time with my cats when needed. I really appreciated her kindness and attention, and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again.
Maria was a brilliant cat sitter, even though it was quite short notice she came over to meet our cat Nova and learn about him before the weekend. Nova can be very shy with new people but he liked Maria instantly, coming over to her for attention! She was great at keeping in contact and giving updates, and we came home to a very happy cat. Thank you Maria!
I recommend Maria very highly! We have an older, very nervous rescue cat and we have never left her with a sitter before. We were quite anxious but Maria put our minds at rest from the start. Maria kept us up to date every visit with photos and videos. Our cat seemed really comfortable with Maria who clearly has a natural way with cats. I wouldnt hesitate to invite Maria to look after our cat again and can't recommend her highly enough!
I have just returned home to a very happy cat. Maria did a fantastic job once again. She followed my instructions, sent me regular updates and photos. I’m very pleased with Maria.
Maria has taken care of our cat Teddy quite a few times now. We are so grateful that we found her. She's so loving to Teddy when we are away, giving him his medication, cuddles, treats and playing with him. We highly recommend her! She gives us daily updates and looks after him and our home while we are away. The photos she takes of Teddy are some of the best that we have! Teddy loves Maria so much that I think he's a bit disappointed when we come home and sees it not her 😂.
Margarida did an amazing job taking care of my cat. She kept me regularly updated with messages and photos, which really put my mind at ease. I could genuinely feel that my cat was in great hands and well cared for the whole time. Super kind, reliable, and attentive — I wouldn’t hesitate to ask her again.

Schedule
I work part-time in the NHS and also run my own clinic, but I have a flexible schedule. I’m usually available early mornings and late afternoons, and on some days I work from home, which allows me to spend more time with your pet.
- CatsMaria can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- Each animal has its own unique personality, so it’s important for me to understand whether they’re shy, what they enjoy, and anything they may dislike. I also appreciate knowing about any allergies or specific needs in advance. I take the time to build trust at your pet’s pace, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—because happy pets make for happy owners!
