“Shadia took my beagle boy Uno overnight and he had a brilliant time. As anyone who knows the breed will tell you, beagles aren’t the easiest! But Shadia was great with him, regularly sending pictures and giving me updates on how he was getting on. Uno also got on brilliantly with Shadia’s retriever, Skye (who is absolutely lovely) and they clearly played endlessly. He came home the next day and went straight into nap mode! Meaning I have experience with dogs and cats from the age of minutes old all the way up to 13 years. I live with my parents and two siblings in a two story house with a fenced garden. It's the perfect place for your pup to spend the day or even the night. I have looked after and cared for Maltipoos, Labradors, Pugs, Border collies, Chihuahuas, Goldies, French Bulldogs, Jack Russells, Yorkies, Boxers, Spaniels, Daschunds, the list goes on... I am well versed in dog breeds and behaviours due to my obsession of everything dogs growing up and am confident in my knowledge and experience :) I currently work full time but can work around my schedule to look after your fluffy friend! If you book 6 weeks in advance I can book a full week of to dedicate to your pet. I love meeting new pups and giving them the time they need :) I can be there whenever you need and for as long as you need to keep your fur babies happy:) I will make sure to keep your pupper safe and secure and never leave them unattended when in my care.

“Philip has given our 8 month old Spaniel, Olive, the most amazing week of love, care and attention! Leaving your dog with a stranger is daunting and we'd never left Olive before. It was a first for us and we couldn't have wished for a better person!!! Olive & I met Philip for a meet & greet, I knew immediately that he was perfect. His two Dachshunds are adorable and so well cared for. I thought Olive might be too lively for them, but they're so calm and weren't worried about her at all. I left feeling confident that Olive would be in safe hands. Philip is super responsive with messages. He put our mind at rest the first morning, sending pictures of Olive looking very much at home. Throughout the week we received regular messages, fantastic photos and videos. Olive was treated to some great trips out for brilliant walks and exercise - she looked so happy we didn't think she'd want to come home! We will definitely use Philip again and can't recommend him enough. You won't find a more able or caring person!”

About: I’m new to Rover, but I’m not new to caring for dogs. I’ve had dogs in my life for 44 years and currently care for my own elderly dogs (Oscar (15) & Lucy (16)), both of whom have needed a lot of patience, routine and gentle handling as they’ve got older. Through them, I’ve gained real experience with senior dog care, sight loss, reduced hearing, medication routines, mobility issues, and understanding when a dog needs calm reassurance rather than too much fuss. I’ve also looked after puppies & dogs for friends and family, and I’m very comfortable following each dog’s normal routine closely. I know how important the little details are, from feeding times and medication to favourite blankies & toys, walking habits, nervous behaviours and the small things that help a dog feel calm and settled. I don’t think there’s anything quite like a dog. They are funny, loyal, gentle, soulful little creatures who somehow make the world feel better just by being in it. I genuinely believe dogs are one of the best things in life, and caring for them properly is something I take seriously. I work from home Monday to Friday and have a flexible schedule, so I’m around throughout the day for company, toilet breaks, feeding routines, walks and plenty of attention. I’m used to planning my day around dogs and their routines, including set meal times, medication needs, rest time and comfort. Walks can be fitted around my working day, including during my breaks or any walking meetings I have with my team. I am currently offering boarding in my own home, as my own dogs have a calm, steady routine and I’m always close by. I care for dogs in my own home, where I keep things calm, safe and settled. I have two elderly dogs myself, so my home is already built around a gentle routine, quiet care and close supervision. They mostly sleep now and are used to being around dogs from friends and family, including younger dogs, so the house is calm rather than busy. I’m very mindful of helping dogs feel comfortable, especially if they are older, nervous, have medical needs, or simply need a little time to settle in. I will always follow your instructions closely, including feeding routines, medication, walks, toilet breaks, sleeping arrangements and any house rules or quirks your dog may have. Every dog is different, so I’d want to understand what makes them feel safe and happy before they stay. Dogs in my care would have plenty of company throughout the day, as I work from home and am always around. They would not be left alone for long, usually no more than around 15 minutes if I needed to pop to the local shop.

About: I have been a dog owner since childhood, some 40+ years. Dogs of all shapes and sizes. Ranging from a Jack Russell to a Great Dane. Having lost our Ellie some months ago, I have a huge hole to fill. Knowing how hard it is to find sitters that can give them the love and attention they need while their mummy's and daddy's are away. I can offer a loving, comfortable home where they will be the centre of attention with lots of cuddles on the sofa, playtime and walks. I have just given up my job to make dog sitting my main priority. So they will have company the whole time they are with us. I have a fully fenced medium size garden. About: Hi, I’m Eliza and I’m 19. I’ve had a golden cocker spaniel in the household for about 5 years now - we got her in 2021, when she was 4 months old (an adorable tiny puppy!) and I was 14. She’s now 5 years old so I’ve pretty much grown up with her, so I have experience with dogs of all different ages. I would prefer to look after small and medium-sized dogs and I’m used to them pulling on the lead (my dog does it all the time!) but open to walking larger dogs too, as long as they aren’t too strong on the lead. Monty was the most loving dog as a child, but my cat Jessy was a bit more independent (but loved a cuddle when it was on his terms!). But Shadia was great with him, regularly sending pictures and giving me updates on how he was getting on. I always aim to follow your preferences and routine to make sure you feel completely comfortable. My home does have stairs, but these can be safely blocked off if needed. Dogs are welcome to settle in wherever they feel most comfortable. You’re very welcome to bring their bed, crate, blankets, or anything familiar from home. “We were very nervous of leaving our 2 year old lab and Chelcey was great at reassuring us. Through the stay we were sent regular updates and you could tell everyone was having fun and that Chelcey has a genuine love of dogs. Obi was wagging his tail like crazy in all of the videos and he became good pals with Nellie (Chelcey’s dog). Chelcey was professional from the outset - arranging an initial meet to make sure that the dogs got on and asking questions about diet and any rules that we wanted such as not getting on furniture. We were able to relax over our break in the knowledge that Obi was well looked after and happy. I would definitely use Chelcey again.”
“This was the second time Mea and John looked after our sausage dog Frank while we were away, and once again they were absolutely brilliant. They were incredibly kind and even offered us a pick-up, which made everything so much easier. This time around, Frank had a few issues settling down to sleep, but Mea and John were so understanding and patient with him. About: I have grown up around animals and have owned a variety. I’ve had the likes of dogs, hamsters and guinea pigs just to name a few. Most recently I have owned a pug and currently live with a golden retriever. I have a lot of knowledge about flat faced breeds and know how to best care for them. Equally I have a lot of knowledge around other breeds particularly smaller ones. I have looked after friends and my families dogs when they have gone away. I have the ability to go to their houses so that their dogs stay in their own environment that’s familiar. I have also had dogs come and stay with me too. I regularly look after my friends dog when she goes to work making sure that her dog is well looked after. I have a lot of free time at the moment being in between jobs so am very flexible with my availability. I will work around what’s best for you and your pet. I will care for your pet as if it was my own. At my house dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the beds so they can have a proper cuddle. I have three beds in the house with room for their own bed if required. I have a fully enclosed garden with a 7ft fence. I also have an open field across the road and a woodlands the other side with running water. I will make sure to feed your dog as many times as needed throughout the time they are with me. There are two fresh water bowls throughout the house and one in the back garden as well so that there is always access to water. I usually keep my back door open throughout the summer time so that Olive (my friends dog) can go in and out when she pleases, as well as her swimming pool under the shade of a giant canopy. If you would like me to sit in your own home I will treat it with the upmost respect. I like to keep things clean and tidy and will leave your home as I came into it. Leave no trace.
About: I am a qualified dog groomer and work part time in a luxury boarding kennels on Fridays, the other days of the week I work from home doing an admin role and grooming dogs. I have a pet first aid certification which prepares me for emergencies. I was lucky enough to be born into a family with a dog and have adored animals ever since, caring for my own rabbit from the age of 7 and helping to train the family dogs. I have owned my own dog and cared for other dogs as if they were my own. I work from home some days of the week and really enjoy the company of a dog. My house and garden are a decent size and I don’t have any children so your dog will have my full attention. I work from home in an administrative role a few days a week. I also groom dogs in the cabin at the side of my house on some days. Working from home can be a lonely at times which is why I wanted to add more dog sitting to my life.
