About: I have just finished the first T level course in animal management, care and behaviour where i gained experience and learnt to look after exotic animals and common pets in a professional setting. Before this I had experience in a cattery which was great for seeing a variety of cats personality's and breeds. For the past 2 years alongside college I have been volunteering at a community farm where I've gained more experience with hoofstock and poultry. I have also helped train and dog sit for friends and family. I have just completed my course in animal care so i am very flexible and would love to spend my time caring for a range of animals from drop ins to overnight stays. I am adaptable and will be happy to care for your pet to meet their specific needs which could look like extra long walks and fast paced activities or calm walks around the neighbourhood. To give you peace of mind I will happily update you during my visit to let you know how your pet is getting on. One of my top priorities will always be being respectful towards someone's home and maintaining a professional manner which would mean cleaning for your pet to stop excess of fur or mud getting everywhere.

“Lauran was amazing with my cat! So accommodating, she was consistent with communication and went above and beyond to make me feel secure and stress free while away! She send photos, great with updates, and even found a way to connect with my very antisocial cat! Definitely recommend, she followed all the requests and she showed she cared. Thank you Lauran xx”

About: Hi, I’m Daniel — a compassionate and reliable pet sitter based in Southampton. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, including dogs, cats and small pets, and they’ve always been a huge source of joy for me. There’s something special about being around animals and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for. I’ve looked after pets for friends, family and colleagues, including dogs, cats and rabbits. Whether it’s an energetic dog who needs a good walk, a nervous pet who needs patience, or a senior animal who needs a gentler approach, I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs. I’m naturally calm, attentive and caring, but also playful when the situation calls for it. I genuinely love what I do, and nothing beats seeing a pet relaxed, happy and thriving in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I work from home most of the week, which gives me good flexibility during the day. I’m typically available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends, and I’m able to plan my schedule around visits, walks or check-ins to make sure pets get consistent care and attention. Because of this flexibility, I can also adapt to different routines, whether that’s morning visits, evening care, or multiple check-ins throughout the day. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always prioritise keeping their routine and environment as familiar and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow all instructions provided, from feeding and walks to any specific behaviours or needs, and I make sure pets feel comfortable and secure in their own space. I’m respectful of the home, keep everything clean and tidy, and ensure doors, gates and any safety measures are properly managed at all times. I stay attentive to each pet’s behaviour and wellbeing, and I’m always prepared to respond calmly if anything unexpected arises. I also keep owners updated regularly, so they can feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for.
About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I have experience caring for a wide range of breeds, from energetic Border Collies to small companion dogs. I come from a family with experience in dog care, and they have taught me how to properly look after dogs, understand their behaviour, and recognise their individual needs. I currently own two Russian Toy Terriers and have hands-on experience with daily care, exercise, feeding, and providing a safe, loving environment. One of my previous dogs lived to the age of 17, which gave me valuable experience caring for senior dogs and understanding the extra patience and attention they require. I am also comfortable caring for puppies and helping maintain their routines. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always strive to ensure they feel happy, secure, and well cared for while their owners are away. As a part-time student who works weekends, I have a very flexible schedule during the week and am available Monday to Thursday throughout the day. This allows me to give your pet plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while maintaining their usual routine. I'll treat your pet with the same care and affection I give my own dogs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. I always follow each pet's normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care they require. Whether in my home or yours, I provide a safe, loving environment with plenty of attention and exercise. I also keep owners updated with regular messages and photos for peace of mind.
“Olivia is the best thing that’s happened to Pigeon. No more sulky kitty when we get home, and we feel so comfortable having Olivia looking after things while we’re away. Pigeon shows Olivia affection in ways she has only ever shown to my husband and my myself, and it’s such a joy and relief to get the updates while we’re gone.”

“Unfortunately there was a problem with our keys (entirely our fault) and Scott wasn't able to look after our cats. He contacted me immediately and went back later to try again, so I'm grateful that he was so conscientious and responsible, and would have no hesitation in booking him again.”

“I have booked Yizhen a couple of times, Both my cat babies are very happy with her care. She is very passionate and always sends me photos of their adventures on the garden. I am very thankful to have found her ☺️”

“Chelcey did a drop in for us, she was able to do a meet and greet at short notice and helped put Luna at ease on the day. Would definitely use her services again in the future!”

About: I’m the type of person who always has to go up to dogs I see out in the world and give them some love (only after confirming they’re friendly towards strangers of course!) About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of dog breeds including frenchies, pugs, bulldogs, dachshunds, dalmatians, huskies, cockapoos, chow chow, weimaraner, labrador and pocket bullies, as well as bengal cats. As a Frenchie owner myself, I’m very aware of breed-specific needs, health considerations and behaviour. I’m confident administering medication, supporting basic training and providing enrichment activities to keep pets mentally and physically stimulated. I’m currently in the process of completing a dog behaviour course, which continues to build on my practical experience. I work from home (graphic designer/video editor), which allows me to be flexible, attentive and available for walks, drop-in visits and overnight stays in your home. Pet care fits naturally into my routine as I work from home, so I’m able to be flexible and present throughout the day. I can provide walks, drop-in visits or overnight stays in your home, depending on your needs. I’m also available for short-notice bookings within the Ocean Village area. I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure, keeping to their usual routine as much as possible. I’m very attentive to behaviour, body language and safety (Frenchie owner habit!), and always keep a close eye on their wellbeing. I’m experienced with administering medication, managing different temperaments and providing enrichment to keep pets happy and stimulated. You can expect regular updates, photos and clear communication so you feel confident your pet is in safe, reliable hands.
“Carol was great with the cats who are both rescues and can be quite timid. They really took to her and let her stroke them. She is reliable and trustworthy and took great care of them. She was lovely and came for a visit beforehand too to meet them. Great communication.”

About: I have two adopted animals from rescue and one girl I’ve had from a puppy. My eldest has medication and specific washing requirements so I’m used to doing that. I drive so can facilitate vet appointments if needed as required. I work from home, so can work to suit schedules and be near animals as required. I have smaller dogs myself which we can separate if this is something your animal isn’t used to. Having animals myself I understand often complex needs and requirements and can adjust to fit various circumstances as needed. I can familiarise myself with any routine required, and happy to attend beforehand as needed to speak to the owner. I was previously an estate agent, so understand how to lock property safely and take care of the owners space and privacy. I would like to think I am reliable and trustworthy such that it can be one worry less during busy times in your schedule.

About: Are you looking for a trustworthy, reliable & loving companion for your cherished hound? Hi I'm Hope! A dedicated dog lover and owner based in the SO15 area. I am available for day-care, walks and drop ins. I believe that every dog deserves a calm, patient and nurturing environment - whether they're with me for a walk or a full day of play. While I have a special place in my heart for Dachshunds, (I'm the proud owner of a very well behaved & well socialised miniature dachshund named Mellow!) I welcome ALL breeds! My home boasts a large dog friendly living space and secure garden, with walks to either Southampton Common or St James Park (just 5mins away on foot) come rain or shine! As I work from home full-time in an administrative role, I am happy to offer consistent care and near-constant companionship seven days a week! Your dog gets maximum attention during the week (Monday–Thursday). (Please note that all walks and drop in visits are solo sessions with me) On Fridays and weekends, my three-year-old daughter is home, but please rest assured this won't compromise care. She was only 10 months old when Melo had her first litter and is very well-versed in dog boundaries. She is generally quite self-occupied with non-dog activities and is never left unsupervised around guests. We are generally homebodies, which means lots of company for your pup, but I may occasionally require flexibility on Friday/weekend bookings due to family outings. Our home is a large, safe space that's fully "dachshund-proofed". Our generously sized secure garden is a safe place for exercise and enrichment games. If your dog comes to us, he/she will be welcomed by our resident Miniature Dachshund, Mellow, who is calm, playful, and very well socialized. While she sleeps a lot, having a friendly guest to share the fun with is a welcome treat! We are committed to providing exceptional care and safety exclusively for your long-bodied friend. (Please note that all walks and drop in visits are solo sessions with me)
“A big thank you to Jasmin for looking after Mitzi while we attended a wedding. Jasmin was super flexible and was excellent in her communication. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jasmin, she has a very calm approach which I felt put Mitzi at ease very quickly. We also changed our plans multiple times and Jasmin accommodated everything. Big thank you to here for taking care of Mitzi.”

Zilin looks after my 4 month old puppy twice a week which is no small job as he has lots of energy, he is in his "scared of everything" phase but within the first visit he already loves having Zilin visit and gets super excited to see her. She has a great calm energy with him and always gives me plenty of updates throughout, cannot thank you enough!

Lauren has been absolutely lovely with Nico. This was the first time we’d ever left him, and as he has separation anxiety I was quite nervous - but she was amazing and put him at ease straight away. He felt relaxed and comfortable with her immediately, which meant so much to us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lauren to anyone looking for dog sitting or house sitting - especially if your dog needs a bit of extra patience and understanding. Thank you so much, Lauren ❤️

Jo dropped in to take care of Freddie. Jo is very efficient, great at comms before the booking and in providing feedback. Clearly cares very much for her doggy clients. Our second time using her. She was also flexible when we had to change the booking time. Well recommended.

Saya has been absolutely wonderful with Rupert. Spent so much time gaining his trust as he’s quite nervous with new people but they’re now the best of friends from the first visit. Can’t praise enough how amazing Saya is. Trust worthy and was in contact the whole time she was with him sending lots of updates and pictures. I will certainly be booking again for her to come and visit Rupert :) thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
