I’m up around 8am and go for an hours walk with the dogs around 9-10am Pottering around the garden during the day Afternoon walk with the dogs (hot weather depending, else it’s a walk after 9pm) I’m retired and so lots of time can be spent with the dogs. “Bilbo is now a regular with Andy & Jan. He has lots of fun playing with the other dogs and comes home exhausted. He now knows where he’s going as soon as I pull into their close and gets so excited to see them so I know he’s a happy boy there. Thanks Andy & Jan”

About: Pet care fits naturally into my routine as I already walk Percy every morning and again in the late afternoon. We often go to the field, riverside park, or Itchen Valley for longer walks. I also hold an Enhanced DBS check, giving owners extra peace of mind that their pets are in safe and trustworthy hands. I work from home, so your dog will have company throughout the day. Percy is walked at least twice a day, and we have a secure, decent-sized fenced garden for playtime. Dogs are welcome to relax indoors with us or enjoy some quiet time in Percy’s annex, depending on what they’re most comfortable with. Every dog is different, so I tailor their routine to suit their personality and social needs. Pets in my home are treated like family. I have a secure fenced garden and a friendly, house-trained cocker spaniel, Percy. I can provide two daily walks, playtime, and plenty of attention, while following your pet’s routine and caring for them as our own.
About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover who grew up surrounded by family dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I'll make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they're with me. I have a friendly 1 year old female Golden Retriever who loves playing and socialising with other dogs, making great company for any dog who enjoys canine companionship. I work from home and live with my partner, Aidan, so your dog will have plenty of company and supervision throughout the day. We also have a large, fully fenced garden and go on two daily walks through the nearby forests, giving your dog lots of opportunities to play, exercise, and explore. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I'll treat your dog as if they were one of my own. Whether they love long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing at home, I'll make sure they receive plenty of care, affection, and attention so you can have complete peace of mind while you're away. I work from home, so your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day, every day of the week. Your dog will enjoy a consistent routine with plenty of attention, playtime, and two daily walks, so they'll have plenty of enrichment throughout the day. I'm happy to follow your dog's usual routine, including being put in the crate if needed. They'll be treated like part of the family and are welcome on the sofa and in the bedroom if that's what they're used to at home.

“David looked after my Portuguese Water Dog for two days and did an excellent job. He kept me updated with messages and photos. Cooper came home happy, relaxed and clearly well cared for. David was professional, reliable and made Cooper feel comfortable from the start. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Cooper with him again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you, David!”

“My dog was very happy in the care of Murali and the family. They were very accommodating, kind and caring and kept me updated throughout the day. I am forever grateful for taking such good care of the pooch and will definitely be returning.”

About: Hi, I’m Liberty! Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started helping at local horse yards from the age of 12 and was dog walking and pet sitting by 18. I’ve owned dogs and horses for many years, including my two rescue Samoyeds, so I understand that every dog is different. I’m currently training towards my Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Dog Grooming, alongside building The Grooming Stable. My aim is to provide calm, personalised, one-to-one care where every dog is treated as if they were my own. I’m fully DBS checked, insured and canine first aid trained. Whether your dog enjoys long woodland walks, needs a slower-paced stroll, or simply benefits from familiar, consistent care, I’ll tailor every walk to suit their individual needs. I’d love to become someone both you and your dog can trust for years to come. Pet care is my priority, and I work flexibly to meet the needs of both you and your dog. I offer dog walking, puppy visits, pop ins and bespoke daycare throughout the week, with availability varying by day. Every booking is planned to ensure your dog receives plenty of time, attention and care, rather than being rushed between appointments. If you’re looking for regular ongoing support or occasional help, I’d love to chat about how I can help. Your dog’s safety, happiness and wellbeing will always come first. I’m fully DBS checked, insured and canine first aid trained. I’ll always follow your routine as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding, medication, training, enrichment or simply providing companionship. I believe in calm, positive handling and treating every dog as if they were my own. Before any regular bookings, I also offer a free meet and greet so we can get to know each other and make sure everyone feels comfortable.

About: ex dairyman with lots of hands on experience with farm animals as well as dogs. I have been working full time dog sitting and walking for a few years now with many different breeds of dogs. I enjoy the challenge of the bigger dogs but I treat all the dogs with love care and attention. All prices are not set in stone so on our meet and greet we can discuss that . I drive a van which is more costly but I enjoy the great outdoors doing lots of different walks I have retired from farming early to do more traveling and sight seeing around this country and abroad .I enjoy house sitting between my jaunts aboard with my girl friend. so rest assured that your home and pets are in good hands. I do not board pets at my home. When staying with a pet in their own home I try to keep the routine as if the owner is there in the home. so animals see as little change as possible.

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, and am used to breeds of all shapes and sizes. Living at home, we had Bernese Mountain dogs, Labrador’s and now a Doberman as our family dog. My two children (age 8 and 6), are hands on and take great pride in providing play and a cosy lap to sleep on! I work from home for 2-4 hours on and off each day, but am around for regular wee breaks, (we leave our back door open almost all year). So your pooch can come and go from the garden as they please. Our 18 month old pup Scarlett, is a playful, loving Doberman…who has always loved other dogs! She is besotted with our children and loves to curl up on the sofa after a nice long walk. I’m currently working part-time from home, so will have plenty of time to play with your beloved pooches! Our pup Scarlett, is an 18 month old Doberman, who just loves other dogs and making new friends! My 6 and 8 year old children are keen dog carers and accompany us on the 1-2 walks each day! We also love boarding as it is company for our pup, Scarlett, who is very sociable, and loves to curl up with a doggy friend on the sofa after a day full of fun. I have a fenced garden, with access to a large open field just a two minute walk away. We have an elderly cat who lives happily upstairs. There will plenty of company for your dog(s). 😊

Minni had a lovely time with Caroline, she is an excellent dog sitter and clearly loves dogs. She treats any pets as if they were her own, our Border Terrier was very relaxed and well cared for while with Caroline, we would not hesitate in leaving her again. Thank you Caroline ❤

I cannot recommend Murali and his wife enough, Mia is an absolute calming superstar (with the young and boisterous) and their home is dog heaven! Pandora obviously enjoyed every moment from the gorgeous photos and videos. Thank you for putting my mind at rest (I was a nervous wreck!!), P will absolutely return 😊

My black lab was very relaxed when I picked him up❤️. Martin met us a few days before the booking to get to know us, and was very happy to look after Stanley 😊. They went for a long walk and watched football together 😉. I'm really happy with Martin's approach and care😊.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
