About: As a dog owner and previous cat owner myself, I know our pets are family to us. I would treat yours like my own. I'm in my 50s so have decades of experience with pets, including training. I work from home and have a large garden near Staunton country park and lots of green areas. I would need to meet you and your furry friend before taking the booking so you can inform me on your routine and requirements. I would only take one booking at a time so your pet gets 100% of my attention. I work full time from home and take the weekends off. I am self employed so I am flexible with timings for walks, feeding, toilet breaks, etc. I have a large enclosed garden that is bricked fence and safe. My Cocker Spaniel lives with me. He is very friendly, follows me or sits under my desk. I feed him twice a day and walk regularly. It would be helpful if your dog is dog friendly although I can possibly get a sitter for my dog if yours isn't.

Michaela and family did a great job looking after our nervous labrador. Our dog was so relaxed when we collected her she walked back in Mechaela's house rather than leave with me! We had lots of photos throughout our dogs stay so we could see she was happy and relaxed.

I’d definitely recommend Emma as a 5 star sitter and will definitely booking with her again. My dog Eric has just spent nearly 2 weeks with Emma whilst we’ve been on holiday and he’s definitely had a fabulous holiday of his own at her house. Emma kept me up to date with how Eric was getting on and also sent me lots of photos and videos of his adventures with her, her partner and her dog Willow. Eric and Willow got along so well and she’s very chilled with having another dog in her home, vying for her pawrents affections! Eric loves lots of attention, but generally more from humans and tends to be selective with his affection for other dogs, so it was lovely to see videos of him and Willow chasing each other and playing together and photos of them relaxing at home. I’m confident that Eric had a brilliant home from home holiday and Emma will definitely be my first choice of sitter

A great sitter from the very first contact. Charlie loved his time and was made to feel at home as soon as he stepped foot in the door. We had regular updates with photos and videos which put us at ease and gave increased confidence our boy was being looked after. Looking forward to the next stay with you.

About: I'm more of a cat person; my partner is a huge dog lover. But it doesn't really matter; we both know how to treat an animal with love and respect. I know how stressful and hard it can be to leave your beloved pets with a stranger, so I want to help other pet lovers with the anxiety of going through it. Both my partner and I are working from home, so your animals' needs will never be left unattended. Providing regular check-ups and updates is effortless for me. We live in a three-bedroom animal-friendly house with a fenced garden, a nice park for walks nearby, and a 24/7 personal assistant for your four-legged friends of all shapes and sizes. I have my own cat, but thanks to the invention of doors, keeping the animals separated won't be a problem (not that your animal will ever be locked in a room alone, unless it prefers privacy).

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life, especially dogs. I grew up with Spaniels and have developed a good understanding of the care, attention and commitment they need at every stage of life — from energetic puppies to older dogs needing extra patience and support. Over the past few years, I have been providing local dog day care, boarding and walking services, and I absolutely love what I do. Caring for dogs is something I’m truly passionate about, and I take great pride in providing a safe, happy and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and cared for. I work from home so there is always company for your dog. I take our Spaniel out twice a day and offer walks tailored to suit your dog’s individual needs, whether they enjoy a gentle stroll, an energetic adventure, or something in between. I have a secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely explore, relax and enjoy some outdoor time at their own pace. My home is open and welcoming, giving dogs the freedom to settle where they feel most comfortable and feel truly part of the family while they are in my care.

About: Wagworth's Dog Care: I am dog mad, having loved them since I was little. I specialise in looking after puppies and elderly dogs who often need a bit more care and attention. I have owned several dogs myself and I currently have a very friendly 3 year old Border Terrier / Poodle mix named Bertie and a Jack Russel Terrier mix puppy called Bailey. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and look forward to meeting yours! I work from home so can accommodate walks and dog sitting flexibly. I spend most of my weekends with my dogs out on long walks along the coast or on the Downs. I have a fenced garden and my own dogs to keep yours company. I have a car and it is a short distance from my house to great walks along the beach or in fields.

I felt very comfortable leaving my senior dog with Christos and Kyriacos. They are polite, responsible, and genuinely caring. I was regularly updated and sent plenty of photos of my dog enjoying his stay. They quickly won my dog over, who is picky about who he trusts, showing they made a real effort to connect with him. I could even tell he missed them when he returned home. I will definitely be reaching out to Christos and Kyriacos when I next need a sitter and recommend them to anyone looking for reliable pet sitting and peace of mind.

About: My husband and I have always loved being around animals. We recently lost our beloved dog, Maya, who lived to the amazing age of 17. My husband adopted her when she was around 4 months old, and for the last 10 years we cared for her together. She was a huge part of our family, and we miss her every day. Over the years, we’ve also looked after many of our friends’ dogs and cats whenever they needed someone they could trust. We understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and we’re confident in recognising when they need attention, playtime, rest, or just a little extra comfort. We have a safe home with a secure garden where pets can relax and enjoy themselves. We know how important it is to leave your pet with someone who will care for them as if they were their own, and that’s exactly how we would look after yours. We’d love to give your pet plenty of love, attention, cuddles, and company while you’re away. I’m normally a teacher, but I’m currently on my school holiday, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m home most of the day, which means your pet will receive lots of attention, company, and regular care rather than being left alone for long periods. I can easily adapt to their usual routine, whether that’s walks, feeding times, playtime, or simply keeping them company. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in their own home. I always take the time to learn about their usual routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, favourite toys, and any special requirements so I can keep things as familiar as possible. In my home, pets will have a clean, calm, and secure environment with plenty of attention and companionship. We also have a secure garden where dogs can enjoy time outside under supervision. I carefully make sure your pet stays happy, comfortable, and stress-free. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always put their safety and wellbeing first.

FAQs for Boarding - Havant

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Havant on Rover is £40.25 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,532 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Havant. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
