About: Not only have I taken care of my own pets since I was a child, for over the past year I have dog sat for many friends and family. I am a recent philosophy graduate with lots of time to care for my own pets. This means I have a lot of spare time, and I what’s better than spending that time taking care of others’ animals? To look after dogs, I had a gated garden and a gate at the bottom of the stairs. My rabbits had a large enclosure, the same with my chickens. Further, my cats are both outdoor.

About: I have had multiple dogs throughout my life and support with family dog walking - experience will multiple breeds of dog, including German shepherds, beagles, spaniels and miniature poodles. Her husband was also very much on board with the care and made me feel very confident Woody would be well looked after. She sent us a few photos of Woody during the stay which we appreciated. When we collected Woody, there were 2 other dogs being dropped off, which showed me Sarah is very popular with her customers. She and her husband work well as a team. About: I’ve taken care of family & friends dogs/cat for many years now and have grown up with them all my life! I’m lucky enough to also help out and work at dog events such as Goodwoof & Dogstival. This included walking, feeding and assisting all the owners and dogs needs throughout the whole day. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
