This was the second time I’ve left my two dogs with Suki, and I cannot thank her enough for the wonderful care she gave them over a week long stay. We were able to properly switch off and relax on holiday knowing Luna and Willow were in very safe hands! Suki clearly loves the animals she takes care of, and really looks after them like her own. The dogs were incredibly happy in Suki’s beautiful home with plenty of countryside and space for them to explore, and loads of love and cuddles too. I’m so happy we found her!!

Anna and Izzi have been absolutely wonderful with Rosie. They took such kind and attentive care of her, and it’s clear how much they genuinely enjoy having her around. I loved seeing how they took her to different places and gave her little adventures, it really means a lot. They never left her alone and kept me reassured throughout, which made a huge difference. I felt completely at ease and was able to relax while travelling, knowing Rosie was in such safe and caring hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone, and I’d be very happy for Rosie to stay with them again.

Mandi is fantastic. This is the first time we’ve ever had to leave our much loved Cavapoo in someone’s else’s care and home in the 5 years since we’ve had her as she normally comes on holiday with us or my dad house sits and looks after her. I was highly anxious about the prospect however Mandi was brilliant in providing reassurance and confidence that Milly would be well cared for, loved and ultimately safe. Milly took to Mandi straight away and throughout her stay it was obvious from the daily ‘pupdates’ that Milly was happy, content and having lots of fun. Mandi was so kind - asking all the right questions to ensure Milly would have everything she needed to feel relaxed in her home from home. Mandi invested so much time in Milly -lovely long walks, games for stimulation - even teaching her new commands and tricks. It was clear that Mandi loved and treated Milly as if she were her own. Milly has returned to us as the happy, confident girl that we left and seems unphased by her 2 weeks without us - I think she had a great time! Mandi has a huge garden in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood which is perfect. We absolutely loved receiving daily [fabulous!] photos and videos of what Milly was up to whilst we were away. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Mandi to look after your loved pet and would definitely ask her again to look after Milly. Thank you Mandi 🐶🐾💕

Terence was the perfect host for our cry lively Sprocker Penny, he sent pictures and videos to keep us updated, she seemed to be having a great time playing and socialising with the other dogs in his care. We chose Terence as he offers plenty of green fields for the dogs to run around and walks on the doorstep, we have already booked with him for our next escape, highly recommended especially if you do not want your dog locked in a kennel all day. Thank you Terence 😊

About: I work from home 24/7 and I'm local to dog friendly parks. As a remote worker, I have a flexible schedule - meaning I am available for several services including daily dog & cat drop ins, boarding and dog walking. I have a 13 year-old Shih Tzu, named Lulu, who is calm and friendly around other dogs. We adopted her 5 years ago and she is truly treated like royalty in our household! I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to put your dog into the care of someone new, so I am more than happy to meet you and your pup to make sure we are the right fit for each other! As a remote worker, I am home 24/7 and can offer your dog calm & constant companionship. Ideal for pups who may suffer from separation anxiety! I have a secure, fenced garden. I have a Shih Tzu to keep your dog company and there is space in my home for crate if required.

We had been using the same sitter since my dog as a puppy, he’s now 11. So was rather anxious to leave our dog with someone new. Sally was so reassuring and confident that it put my mind at ease. He settled in well and I could relax knowing that he was being well looked after. Thank you Sally.

couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! Zina looked after Fitz so well, and it was clear from the moment I picked him up that he'd had a fantastic time. He was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for throughout his stay. It was also lovely to know that her husband, Ger, really enjoyed spending time with Fitz too – he was obviously made to feel like part of the family. Highly recommended – thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Fitz!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in East Hampshire on Rover is £46 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
