Heather was meticulous in looking after our Cavapoo "Minnie". She's quite a needy dog (I think they're bred that way) and Heather asked us to drop her off briefly a couple of weeks before the booking to check if she would be comfortable in her home. She also asked for dietary requirements and our vet's contact details just in case something happened. Heather messaged us when she had Minnie and sent pictures too. Our only concern was whether Minnie liked Heather's company so much she wouldn't want to come home! Thanks for taking care of our dog Heather - never mind five star, you score ten out of ten with us!

About: I’ve been taking care and love with different kinds of dog since I was 6, and I am able to understand what they needs to give them a “pet friendly” environment. I’m currently staying at home all the time to taking care my two teens (16 & 18 Yrs) and three pets (1 small breed dog, 1 British Short hair girl and 1 ginger boy), and able to take care yours too. I have a clean fenced garden and clean home with two pets, and they are very friendly to any new friends (pet), and I won’t let the pet go into dirty area like underbrush or dirty mud area.

About: I am a 26 year old animal lover living in a gorgeous coastal town near Chichester, West Sussex. I have always lived with cats and dogs in my family of all shapes and sizes, including Spaniels, Tabby cats, German Shepherds and Labradors. I work remotely as a legal assistant whilst training to qualify as a family lawyer. I have a full driving license which enables me to take my friend’s and family’s dogs on nice long walks at the beach or in the woods. You can rest assured knowing your pet would be very looked after in my care. I currently work full time as a legal assistant but enjoy the benefit of working from home 5 days a week which enables me to provide care for your pets either living in with me, or by driving to your house to feed and play with your cat or walk your dog! I have a cottage-style fenced long garden which is perfect for lots of sniffs and room to play on our lawn. I have access to the garden via a back gate and a garden sink which is ideal for muddy paws! I live within walking distance to Bosham quay and have other great walk routes such as farmers fields and woodlands nearby. I have oak wooden floor throughout the downstairs of our home and are very used to having dogs overnight here.

Many thanks to Ellie and her family! We were very satisfied. It was our first time using Rover, booked at short notice and also our first time using a doggy-care outside our circle of friends and family. We were pleasantly surprised at how professional the process was. From the first meeting in advance to the information during the stay. Gladly again!

Thank you so much once again Tina for having Dotty. At such short notice and for longer than expected too. When I pulled up in our car outside your home Dotty was screaming with excitement. She obviously remembered having such a lovely time previously and was more than happy to return. To me that says it all.

I left my separation anxiety prone dog Ruby with Eric for 5hours. Eric took control of her right from the start with a warm friendly welcome. Eric took her for a walk and sent a very nice video of her chasing her favourite ball. She then settled down and waited for mum to collect her. Thank you to Eric for looking after Ruby so nicely

Sal had a fantastic time with Brook & her lovely children. Brook was warm and welcoming on arrival and I immediately trusted her with the care of my pup. Brook sent me regular updates throughout the day and when I collected Sal, also gave me a run down of the day. I am delighted to have found Brook to look after my dog, and Sal is looking forward to her next visit. I have no hesitation in recommending Brook to care for your beloved pet. Thanks so much Brook, 5 star service, warm & friendly.

Very happy with Claire as our new Rover doggie carer. We’d been let down at last minute for dog care and very quickly managed a woof meet up.. all went very well so Claire kindly covered day care the very next day. All feeding/walks/treats/naps etc were catered brilliantly and photos of Tiya - our 12 year old Spaniel, along with Claire’s little dog Sully were timely zapped across to me .. Tiya seemed totally happy and at ease there. Highly recommend Claire for weekend sitting

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Chichester on Rover is £32.2 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,769 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Chichester. About 87% of Chichester sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Chichester commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
