Heather was very professional & has a caring approach. She enabled us to attend a family funeral 275 miles away from home looking after our dog Daisy who has separation anxiety. Although clearly happy to see us on collection after spending the day with Heather you could tell Daisy had had a good day & wasn’t stressed. Thanks Heather:

About: I am a 26 year old animal lover living in a gorgeous coastal town near Chichester, West Sussex. I have always lived with cats and dogs in my family of all shapes and sizes, including Spaniels, Tabby cats, German Shepherds and Labradors. I work remotely as a legal assistant whilst training to qualify as a family lawyer. I have a full driving license which enables me to take my friend’s and family’s dogs on nice long walks at the beach or in the woods. You can rest assured knowing your pet would be very looked after in my care. I currently work full time as a legal assistant but enjoy the benefit of working from home 5 days a week which enables me to provide care for your pets either living in with me, or by driving to your house to feed and play with your cat or walk your dog! I have a cottage-style fenced long garden which is perfect for lots of sniffs and room to play on our lawn. I have access to the garden via a back gate and a garden sink which is ideal for muddy paws! I live within walking distance to Bosham quay and have other great walk routes such as farmers fields and woodlands nearby. I have oak wooden floor throughout the downstairs of our home and are very used to having dogs overnight here.

Becca is great with my little dog and he has been there twice now for doggy day care and always comes back knackered. He gets on really well with her dogs especially little lulu and love playing together. Its nice to get updates too as i like to know what he gets up too and she sends me photos and updates. She has a great house with big garden and nice and tidy. Definitely shall be using her regularly , thanks so much! X

About: I’ve been around dogs since before I could walk, growing up in a family filled with furry friends. I trained my own cocker spaniel from puppyhood, mastering everything from basic commands to good behaviour. Over the years, family and friends have trusted me to care for their pets, giving me hands-on experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. My deep love for animals, combined with my practical experience, ensures your pet will be in great hands. Pet care seamlessly fits into my daily routine since I work from home, allowing me to give your pets constant attention and care. My own cocker spaniel requires at least an hour of exercise daily, so we embark on plenty of walks and outdoor adventures. Your pets will join us on these outings, ensuring they get the exercise and stimulation they need while enjoying a loving, active environment. In my home, your pets will enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. I have a walled back garden where they can roam freely, and I keep the back doors open so they always have access to the garden and the downstairs area. My own dog is crate trained, so I'm comfortable accommodating both crate-trained and non-crate-trained dogs. Your pets will be treated like family, with plenty of space to explore, relax, and feel secure.

About: I have had dogs of all kinds all my life. I adore dogs. I had a very nervous Golden Retriever from 8 weeks old until he passed away. I saw him as part of the family. I looked after a Welsh Border Collie for 18 months because the owner couldn’t have dogs where she moved to. I also looked after two 10-year-old Labrador/Alsatian crosses. One of them had behavioural issues, but I was able to care for her confidently. I used to dog sit for them every few weeks and stay for several days at a time. I am reliable, sensible and flexible. I also have a car, so I can come at short notice and provide emergency transport to the vet if ever needed. I am available most days (except Tuesdays) and have my own car, so I’m able to travel where needed. I am reliable, caring and able to provide walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays and boarding. My priority is making sure your dog feels safe, happy and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to have peace of mind, so I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos throughout your dog’s stay. I’ll always do my best to follow their usual routine and give them plenty of love, attention and playtime, so they feel as comfortable as possible. I live in a large one-bedroom first-floor flat and have my landlord’s permission to have pets. I am also happy to stay in your home if that’s what your dog is most comfortable with. I am respectful, trustworthy and fully focused on caring for your furry family member as if they were my own. I recently lost my partner hence why I’d like to do this. I am available most days (except Tues) and I have a car so I’m able to travel/come at short notice. I am currently not working due to a health condition but that doesn’t affect me caring for dogs. I am reliable and sensible! I am able to provide any service and I can’t wait to play and care for your dogs I live in a large one bed first floor flat, I live alone. I have permission from my landlord to have pets. I am also happy to stay at the owners house. I am really respectful and fully focussed on caring for your fluffy friends!

Very happy with Claire as our new Rover doggie carer. We’d been let down at last minute for dog care and very quickly managed a woof meet up.. all went very well so Claire kindly covered day care the very next day. All feeding/walks/treats/naps etc were catered brilliantly and photos of Tiya - our 12 year old Spaniel, along with Claire’s little dog Sully were timely zapped across to me .. Tiya seemed totally happy and at ease there. Highly recommend Claire for weekend sitting

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Chichester

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Chichester on Rover is £34.5 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,766 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Chichester. About 87% of Chichester sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Chichester commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
