“So glad I came across becca’s profile, after using 2 other people on rover and not having a great experience , i knew there must be someone out there to meet my high standards ? Becca is great with my little dog and he has been there twice now for doggy day care and always comes back knackered. He gets on really well with her dogs especially little lulu and love playing together. Its nice to get updates too as i like to know what he gets up too and she sends me photos and updates. She has a great house with big garden and nice and tidy. Definitely shall be using her regularly , thanks so much! X”

“Ellie was a great sitter for my two rescue dogs, especially one who is very nervous. We got a very detailed report card each day. She was understanding about their unruly behaviour.”

“Buddy really enjoyed his day with you. He can be a nervous boy and you really helped to reassure me that he was okay and had settled in well. It was a lovely touch to receive such lovely photos throughout the day. Thank you and Buddy would love to come back soon!”

My husband is a sitter with me, so we can offer lots of flexibility around our work. We both love to play and walk with the pooches and there are plenty around here. Lots of playtime in our garden, that has plenty of shade in the summer too. I have a fenced garden and a very friendly cavapoo called Bertie for your fur baby to play with. About: I’ve been around dogs since before I could walk, growing up in a family filled with furry friends. I trained my own cocker spaniel from puppyhood, mastering everything from basic commands to good behaviour. Over the years, family and friends have trusted me to care for their pets, giving me hands-on experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. My deep love for animals, combined with my practical experience, ensures your pet will be in great hands. Pet care seamlessly fits into my daily routine since I work from home, allowing me to give your pets constant attention and care. My own cocker spaniel requires at least an hour of exercise daily, so we embark on plenty of walks and outdoor adventures. Your pets will join us on these outings, ensuring they get the exercise and stimulation they need while enjoying a loving, active environment. In my home, your pets will enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. I have a walled back garden where they can roam freely, and I keep the back doors open so they always have access to the garden and the downstairs area. My own dog is crate trained, so I'm comfortable accommodating both crate-trained and non-crate-trained dogs. Your pets will be treated like family, with plenty of space to explore, relax, and feel secure.

“First time leaving Ted with Scott, and it all was perfect. It was a long day and Ted had three super walks. Scott has a secret way with dogs and Ted just eased right into his care. A lovely house and base. Scott sent little updates and photos which were really appreciated. 100% trusted and recommended. Brook stepped in a very short notice to look after Nellie and treated Nellie as if she was her own dog! I would highly recommend Brook and family, she sent photos of how Nellie settled in Really appreciate Brook Thank you 5 stars from me and will definitely use her again when in the area X

Rolo had a fabulous day with Ellie and her partner Lewis. He came home totally exhausted after a day of playing in the garden, going for walks and watching films. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him. I am very grateful and would recommend Ellie to anyone looking for doggy day care.

Very happy with Claire as our new Rover doggie carer. We’d been let down at last minute for dog care and very quickly managed a woof meet up.. all went very well so Claire kindly covered day care the very next day. All feeding/walks/treats/naps etc were catered brilliantly and photos of Tiya - our 12 year old Spaniel, along with Claire’s little dog Sully were timely zapped across to me .. Tiya seemed totally happy and at ease there. Highly recommend Claire for weekend sitting

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
