I currently work Tuesday to Friday, 9am–3pm, so I’m available to care for dogs from Friday to Monday and can look after cats Monday to Sunday. About: I am 35 years old and have cared for dogs for most of my life. I own one myself who is 12 years old and he lives between my house and my parents. Caring for dogs is my passion and I already have a community of lovely people whose dogs I look after regularly. I have repeat bookings weekly for doggy daycare and overnight boarding. I have a very loving home and pets are allowed on the sofa with lots of cuddles and attention. I would treat your dog like it’s my own. I work from home and live on my own so I have plenty of time and attention to give to your dog, they will never be left on their own. I have a fair amount of space with a fenced garden so they will always be safe. I live next to a large recreation field which is perfect for long walks and I am available every day of the week including weekends. I am also available for same day bookings. I have bi-fold doors from my open plan living room leading to the garden which are always open (aslong as it’s not raining) so your dog can go in and out as they please. There is also plenty of space in my house to have your dog with a crate if needed.

It’s been our first time using Rover and our first time meeting Helen and her family. Both experiences have been excellent and better than I could imagine. Our dog was clearly very happy when we went to meet them for the first time and I felt very reassured when meeting them all that they would care for him well and he would feel at home. Helen sent some photos and updates when we were away which were lovely and when we returned he looked very well looked after and happy. There needed to be an adjustment of end date to the booking whilst away and it was easy and seamless on the site. I would definitely use Rover again if I need to and Helen if she is available and happy to have him.
I was apprehensive about leaving my dog for the first time overnight. Sam and her family were very kind. Our dog had a great time, photographs showed him chilled out… which was reassuring for us. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018.
