We received pics and videos every day, Talabi was patient and spent time training Monty, she is absolutely fabulous and clearly a dog lover. I will not hesitate to use Talabi again in future, in fact, Monty is looking forward to his next visit. Thanks so much for taking such wonderful care of him.

Sarah has been excellent and our whippet, Rocco, has had a fantastic stay with her for the week. I actually think he’s a bit sad he’s had to come Home! Her communication was just right - daily updates, but not too much, and we felt completely assured that Rocco was being brilliantly looked after. We would 110% love to book with Sarah again.

Garry and Seb have been fantastic. Taurus really enjoyed her time there. Garry has been very responsive and sent tons of photos and videos. There were regular long walks, playing at home, or snuggling together on the sofa. Our dogs love to spend time with their dog Dixie. Garry is very accommodating when I had changes with late notice. Thank you both very much!

About: Ive been looking after dogs, cats, horses and small pets all my life, (professionally trained 10 years) I’m super confident with any pet and love animals more than anything, I know how important it is to find the right person to trust with your furry friend but I promise you that’s me! I can tailor you and your pets needs accordingly and am happy to chat about requirements etc! Im currently working 2 days a week online at home so I am home 7 days a week for the whole day. So I’m super available, my house is spacious with a lovley garden, and also surrounded by dog friendly parks and beautiful walks! Ive had dogs all my life so it’s very natural for a dog or cat to be at home. I’m comfortable with assuring your pet is fed, watered, walked and entertained for their full time with me. My house is very chill as well as it’s just me, so your pet will have a stress free time. I’m also comfortable with medical assistance for pets as I’m really experienced with dogs and cats in medical emergencies etc.

We cannot recommend Huda enough! She took incredible care of our kitten while we were away, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Huda kept us updated throughout, sending adorable pictures and updates that really put our minds at ease. Her chill, understanding attitude was such a blessing, especially when our train was delayed, and we ended up showing up late to pick up our kitten. She handled the situation with so much kindness and patience. It’s clear Huda genuinely loves animals, and our kitten warmed up to her immediately. Knowing our little one was in such good hands made our trip so much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a reliable, caring, and all-around amazing pet sitter, Huda is the one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

About: I’ve always loved dogs. My parents finally gave in when I was 14, and got our family golden retriever. Since then I’d love to get a dog of my own but am often in London or out so just can’t really justify it at the moment. But my last housemate had a dog, who I would walk and feed etc, and I do look after my friend’s dogs lots. I work in a dog-friendly office Monday-Thursday and wfh Fridays. In the evenings, I play tennis Mon and Tuesday. Other evenings I’m at the pub or on the beach. I have a patio garden that’s completely enclosed. I’m happy to keep your pet in a crate if they need their own space.

Sara and Franz are very kind, caring, sweet souls. We left our dog, Fig, in very safe hands. She was extremely comfortable right from the start and didn’t want to leave…she was a very happy dog when we picked her up (which isn’t normally the case). Sara’s place is very neat, tidy and dog friendly with lots of space and a garden. I’d highly recommend them and will be booking them again very soon.

I was initially quite worried, as we had never left Titou anywhere before and he can be quite attached to me. Nicky kindly offered to pick him up from the house, which helped immensely, and Titou was happy to go with her. Communication with Nicky was excellent both before and during the stay. During his time with her, I received regular photo updates and could clearly see that he was happy and very well looked after. When I picked him up after five days, he was the happiest boy. It was obvious that Nicky and he had formed a lovely bond and that he felt completely comfortable with her. Nicky took all of his needs into account and provided wonderful care. I will definitely book her again, knowing that my little one is in the best hands.

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Brighton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Brighton on Rover is £36.8 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,857 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Brighton. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
