About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a toddler. From family dogs including dachshunds, labradors, cavapoochons, terriers and golden retrievers, to training local dogs, I have been there for every dog I’ve met. I have experience with larger breeds, such as assisting with training multiple XL bullies and german shepard’s. I also have experience with both younger and older animals, by helping older dogs with senior animal care and also training younger puppies. I am an athlete so I am very active and walking and running constantly, and would absolutely love to ensure I can help animals younger or older get the exercise they need that’s specific to them. Currently I study and work from home, so my schedule is coming flexible! I am an athlete so spend 1-2 hours in the gym each day but that wouldn’t interfere with any pet care as that is between 6-8am each day. I make sure I walk at least twice a day but depending on the needs of the pets I am more than happy to change my schedule! I have a fenced garden in a quiet area with plenty of space and fields away from roads where I can walk animals wherever they need to go for any distance they need! I have plenty of space in my house for animals of any size. It is all pet proof and I regularly have my dog from home come visit me! While I don’t have a pet living with me, I guarantee that if your pet would like some animal company my neighbours’ pets would always be up for saying hello!

About: Hi, I'm Freya! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and my own two dogs are very much part of the family. Any dog staying with me will need to be comfortable around other dogs and will be introduced carefully to ensure everyone gets along well. As I have an entire male dog at home, I cannot accept female dogs that are in season or may be coming into season. Please let me know if this could be a possibility before booking. I am an experienced, sensible and caring dog owner who understands that every dog is different. I also have ferrets and a tortoise that live in secure areas of the garden, so it's important that I know if your dog has a high prey drive. This is something I can manage safely with the right information. I'm happy to discuss your dog's individual needs and routine to ensure they feel comfortable and settled while in my care. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, off-lead adventures (where appropriate), playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply sticking to their usual routine, I'm happy to accommodate. Feel free to send me a message if you'd like to chat about your dog's needs. I'd love to hear from you and see if I'm the right fit for you! I work from home on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, making these ideal days for boarding and daycare. Dogs can also stay on Mondays and Wednesdays, although I am available for care during the evenings only on those days. I have a medium sized secure fenced garden. I will never leave your dog alone whilst they are in my care. I am gentle and kind with all animals and understand it may take time to build trust.
“Alice was super flexible and even added in an extra morning sit with our boy so we could go out and do social things as well as just work! Her easy demeanor and clear love for Dillon made it so we could have a lovely time without worrying at all!”

“Another awesome day where Freddie was treated like a king. Walks on the beach. Fun with toys in Bethanys’ garden. Such a relief to know he’s having as much fun as we have x”

I would 100% recommend Abigail. She kept us updated with news about their day and sent lots of photos. We were reassured they were happy and well looked after and we could relax with no worries about their care. When I collected them I could see how at home they made themselves. Thank you, we hope you’re available when we next go away x

As always it was a pleasure to leave Teddy with Mitch and Lauren, knowing that Teddy will be loved and well cared for, with lots of cuddles. He loves playing with their dog too and curls up asleep with her. I have no worries when I leave Teddy with them and they send me lots of updates, photos and videos. Such a lovely caring and attentive couple.

Thank you!! Left our 8 month puppy in Nelsymar’s care and knew she was in good hands. She gave us many updates and reassurances. Our puppy Fern was disappointed to get in the car afterwards so we knew she had a good time 🤣 Thank you so much- would leave in your care again 😌

Cecile is an amazing dogsitter. Milo was looked after brilliantly. Cecile has a very calming way which contributed to how Milo behaved in her Company. Cecile puts 100 per cent into her role as a dog sitter. I would highly recommend Cecile. I can now relax knowing Milo will have somewhere to go when I go away again. Thank you Cecile for a brilliant job ☆☆☆☆☆

Candace was fantastic at caring for my dog with sight and hearing impairments. I was able to go away and feel at ease that she was being cared for and loved. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
