About: I’ve owned a dog for 12 years which sadly has passed away recently, i love having dogs around, i mainly work from home so it’s very easy to keep an eye on them and let them outside when needed, and i always like to go on walks and provide treats. I work from home 4 days a week and I can take your dog for a walk on my lunch break and when I finish work with no issues and I am rather flexible and I do drive. I have a fenced and secure garden which they will always be able to access so they can roam freely inside the house and in the garden.
“Candace was fantastic at caring for my dog with sight and hearing impairments. I was able to go away and feel at ease that she was being cared for and loved. Candace has a natural way with animals and was great at communicating and sending pictures of their day. I wouldnt hesitate to use her again!”

“Maureen is very friendly and quick to communicate. I felt very good about leaving our dog Joshy in her care. She updated how they were doing during the weekend. Joshy seemed very happy and himself when we went to pick him up.”

About: I’ve grown up with multiple pets including many breeds of dogs from small dachshunds to Great Danes and including rescue dogs! I have also cared for cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and also done voluntary work caring for ferrets and birds. I work as an occupational therapy support worker so I love to pet sit in my spare time to get away from my stressful job! I’m studying to be an occupational therapist and completing an apprenticeship so I tend to be at work or university Monday-Friday. I live in a small house with a small garden! I have 2 indoor rabbits so I prefer to not have dogs come to my house but I am open to discussing this as every pet is different! I like to meet the dogs and their owners to get to know them and what works best for everyone!
About: I’m a 33-year-old animal enthusiast and professional dog walker, previously a Zookeper on the UK for Meerkats, Penguins and Lemurs . I have a deep passion for providing love and support to animals of all shapes and sizes, from dogs and cats to horses, reptiles, and even goats and Alpacas. As a proud pet parent myself, I’ve raised an 8-month-old Aussie pup, my adventure pal . Whether it's teaching a new trick or providing enrichment activities for pets of all ages, I thrive on creating positive, fun experiences. I’m well-versed in everything from long sniffy walks to adventurous hikes and interactive playtime. When you book with me, you can rest easy knowing your furry friend will be treated like family. Whether it’s a day full of outdoor adventures or plenty of pets and playtime, I’m here to make sure your pet has the best time while you’re away. I am off fully on the days I have put available on the calendar, as I currently only work, so would have lots of time for cuddles, play, training and walks and flexible to suit the needs of your pet! Your pet would never be left alone. I live by some wonderful trails- and I am an avid hiker for those with more adventurous needs! I have a fenced yard and one very social and friendly puppy to ensure you dog or puppies needs are met, and can provide lots of enrichment such as lick mats, Kong's, snoop etc. Your dogs will never be left alone inside or out. I love to take photographs on my Camera of Pets while they stay with us!
“Freddy loved his stay with Hannah and her lovely little girl doggie Angel. He immediately took to Hannah when she came to pick him up and was visibly excited he was going to with her and Angel (and from the photos Hannah sent Angel was clearly very nice and sweet to him!).”

“Bethany and James were perfect sitters for Alfie, they sent photos and updates daily to ensure we were kept well informed of his happiness. A week away from Alfie is a long time for us, but we can tell he loved it. We fully recommend Bethany and will be booking again soon.”

Georgia was so great with our Wentworth, he can be a little be of a handful as he’s such a playful pup, but she did so great earning his trust and giving him the attention he needs! She has fantastic communication and does a great job of sending updates to make us feel more comfortable! Would recommend Georgia to anyone!

Olesia looked after our two girls for one week, they enjoyed her company and their little vacation and were well cared for and happy, Olesia kept us informed with daily messages and photos of their fun walks on and around the beach. These are nice & re-assuring when you leave pets in care. A recommended sitter, thanks Olesia.

Abi looked after our dogs, Luna and Benny, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care they received. From the moment we met Abi, it was clear how kind, reliable, and genuinely passionate she is about animals. She kept us updated with messages and photos, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. Luna and Benny were both so happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned. It was obvious they had been treated with love, patience, and plenty of attention. We would highly recommend Abi to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional dog sitter. Thank you, Abi—we’ll definitely be booking with you again! Chris and Jo

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! It gave us real peace of mind knowing our dog was being so well looked after. He was happy, relaxed, and clearly received lots of love and attention. Communication was great throughout, and we really appreciated the care and kindness shown to him. We would happily book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.

Thank you!! Left our 8 month puppy in Nelsymar’s care and knew she was in good hands. She gave us many updates and reassurances. Our puppy Fern was disappointed to get in the car afterwards so we knew she had a good time 🤣 Thank you so much- would leave in your care again 😌

Cecile is an amazing dogsitter. Milo was looked after brilliantly. Cecile has a very calming way which contributed to how Milo behaved in her Company. Cecile puts 100 per cent into her role as a dog sitter. I would highly recommend Cecile. I can now relax knowing Milo will have somewhere to go when I go away again. Thank you Cecile for a brilliant job ☆☆☆☆☆

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
