Dog skills

15 years of experience
Oral medication administration
Senior dog experience
Special needs dog experience
Can provide daily exercise

Safety, trust & environment

I have a walled garden and plenty of space for your dog to roam around. I don’t mind them sitting on the sofa (unless you have taught them not to!) and I can easily accommodate a crate should you want your dog to sleep in one rather than on a dog bed. I will typically walk your dog twice daily unless stated otherwise- I will always cater to your dog’s needs.

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced garden
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Pets allowed on furniture
Toilet breaks every 0-2 hours

Information Charlotte S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs so that I am able to provide the best care for him or her. I have experience looking after senior dogs and giving them medication so if your dog needs extra support and attention with anything just let me know!

A typical day

A typical day will start with a morning stretch around the park (or run around the garden depending on your dog’s needs), breakfast and then a mix of play & relaxation and of course an abundance of cuddles. A second walk in the afternoon is always on the cards, perhaps along the seafront or a different park (all in walking distance from the house, so no need to drive anywhere) and then more play & relaxation. If your dog needs a bigger walk, then, with your consent & prior agreement, I will happily take him/ her for a hike along the downs (please note that I will always keep your dog on a lead, no matter what). My mini van is dog-friendly with a secure dog bed & seat belt installed. I will of course feed your dog at his/ her usual times and make sure feeding times and treats are appropriately scheduled. Water bowls will always be freshly topped up!

Pet care experience

Hi! Here’s a little about me- I grew up with dogs (cocker spaniels & boarder collies) and then I got my beloved Chase, a Finnish Lapphund, when she was just 8 weeks old, up until the age of nearly 15. I have looked after many friends’ and family members’ dogs over the years and so not only do I have experience looking after dogs of all ages/ stages of their life, I also understand the bond and love that there is between a dog and its owner. My home is perfectly set up for a dog- gates are in place, beds, food & water bowls, anti-slip carpets for senior dogs whose paws are less stable, etc. The walled garden is secure and there is a convenient park just down the road too. I know how difficult it is to find somewhere that offers complete peace of mind, which is why I would like to offer a home from home for your dog(s), by providing a loving and reliable service for those who benefit and thrive so much more from being in a warm and welcoming household with 1-1 attention.

Charlotte was wonderful with Blossom. Communication was great and I received updates throughout her stay. I really felt like she was in great hands and wouldnt hesitate to book Charlotte again.

Charlotte looked after my dog Sadie for a few days while I was away and I couldn't recommend her enough! Sadie was very well looked after, I received photos and updates from Charlotte about what Sadie had been up to, and she looked so comfortable in Charlotte's company when I picked her up again. Sadie has seen Charlotte again since and absolutely loves her, and I would be so happy for Charlotte to look after her again in the future! She is a delight :)
