“Tyson was well cared for from start to finish. Clear communication Danielle. Regular updates helped me stay informed. Tyson looked relaxed and happy in every update. Feeding, walks, and routine were followed. No issues at all. I felt confident leaving Tyson in Danielle's care. I would use her again without hesitation.”

“Lacey settled very quickly and minna was very good with her Lacey is a young energetic pup that loves to say hello to everyone and minna handled her very well well would highly recommended”

“Using Rover App is so easy and efficient. I found the perfect sitter for aging Flossie. Olesia is a first class sitter, so kind and professional - I trusted her instantly, and so did Flossie. Olesia is perfect for a single, reactive dog. The beauty is her central Eastbourne location is perfect for shopping all day, as didn't want to leave Flossie in car obviously. And also that Olecia slows dogs on soft furnishings and even her bed - very 'home from home' comforts and security. I highly rate my whole first experience and will definitely be using again 🎖️”

About: I’ve owned a dog for 12 years which sadly has passed away recently, i love having dogs around, i mainly work from home so it’s very easy to keep an eye on them and let them outside when needed, and i always like to go on walks and provide treats. I work from home 4 days a week and I can take your dog for a walk on my lunch break and when I finish work with no issues and I am rather flexible and I do drive. I have a fenced and secure garden which they will always be able to access so they can roam freely inside the house and in the garden.
“Freya was lovely! She was so warm and friendly and my pup loved her straight away, despite usually being quite timid and shy. Freya sent me pupdates throughout the day and my girl left seeming very happy. Thanks Freya!”

“Maple recently spent a lovely sunny day with Jasmine and was happy and content when I collected her. Jasmine is friendly, reliable and offered brilliant communication. I won't hesitate to contact her when I next need a sitter for Maple. Thank you 😊”

“Jools is an open and friendly person and was instantly taken with Sole. He cam across as very professional and accommodating. During Sole's first stay with Jools he updated me with photographs of them and notes. She looked very relaxed and comfortable in the house. Jools took her on walks and she had use of the garden. Jools was also very kind to forgive Sole for digging holes in the garden too! I would definitely recommend using Jools.”

“Monika was great looking after our puppy golden doodle Margot. Lots of updates and some nice pictures were shared. Thanks Monika again for looking after her so well at such short notice.”

About: I’ve had all kinds of pets growing up including 3 cats, 6 rabbits, and a handful of smaller pets. After that my family decided to introduce our golden doodle, Suki! She is just adorable!!! We have had her for almost 14 years now. I’ve had lots of experience looking after her and have also helped friends and family look after their furry friends too! I now live alone in a studio flat with no pets, so I am able to help look after yours! I currently work part-time as a sales assistant on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with occasional overtime on other days. However, I would love to spend my time out of work looking after your gorgeous pets! Leaving your fur baby in the care of someone else takes a lot of trust, to help achieve this I am more than happy to share any details/photos about the environment provided for them. Before leaving your pet in my care I will always make sure to communicate with you properly and have all the information about your pet to ensure they are in the best care for them as possible.
“This was our puppy's first experience of day care and Candace was lovely, very attentive and instantly put us at ease. Pups had an fab experience and we received lots of pics and updates which was so reassuring as first time puppy owners! Big furry thank yous to Candace & Olive for making Oakley feel so welcome x”

“Stephany was excellent from the initial enquiry to our doggy day-care conclusion. Our puppy seems to have had an enjoyable day in Stephany's company. She's come home in good spirits and is enjoying a well deserved nap. This was our first experience of using Rover and day-care in general. We were able to enjoy some much needed family time knowing that our dog was well cared for”

Georgia had echo for his first daycare stay today! I had a full and detailed handover from Georgia, echo who is usually bouncing around when I see him after work was very calm. He made himself very comfortable and at home on the sofa, I had photos through the day and he seemed like he had a great day! Will be booking for his permanent daycare with Georgia and I feel very happy to know he’s being well cared for and exercised well on his stay. 10/10 thank you so much..

Thank you so much for looking after Lucy today! We are so pleased with how today went. Mitch and Lauren are so accommodating and it was lovely to receive photos and updates through the day. Would highly recommend and will definitely be rebooking next time! Thanks again!

Once again, Audrey had a great time with Monika on Boxing Day. She was very happy when we picked her up and even made a new furry friend with another dog that was staying. Audrey doesn’t always get on with other dogs so to see her so relaxed and calm after the day with another dog was amazing to see. Monika is brilliant and Audrey can’t wait for her next stay 😊

Our dear Riley was so content when we collected him after his day with Hayley and Kevin. He was clearly treated with love and as part of the family. Riley will be visiting again soon for a weekend sleepover and we feel completely confident and happy leaving him in their capable and caring hands. We definitely recommend Hayley and Kevin. Thank you so much! 💛✨🐶✨💛

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Eastbourne commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
