“Tyson was well cared for from start to finish. Clear communication Danielle. Regular updates helped me stay informed. Tyson looked relaxed and happy in every update. Feeding, walks, and routine were followed. No issues at all. I felt confident leaving Tyson in Danielle's care. I would use her again without hesitation.”

“Jools is an open and friendly person and was instantly taken with Sole. He cam across as very professional and accommodating. During Sole's first stay with Jools he updated me with photographs of them and notes. She looked very relaxed and comfortable in the house. Jools took her on walks and she had use of the garden. Jools was also very kind to forgive Sole for digging holes in the garden too! I would definitely recommend using Jools.”

About: Since I was a teenager I would look after family pets and I also have an 8 month old cocker spaniel of my own that I look after daily. I am aware of dogs needs and frequent potty breaks. I also am available to do training whilst I look after your dog, nice long walks and adventurous play, ensuring they have the best time under my care. I undergo any specific requirements that your dog may need including routines. I am full time at home spending time with my own dog so everyday I am up and ready for doggy playtime and doggy walks ensuring every step of your dogs routine is followed through perfectly! I have a fenced garden with plenty of grass that is safe for dogs to play and go potty. I own a puppy myself, she is an 8 month old cocker spaniel who is very friendly and would enjoy the extra doggy company which is why I only dogsit dogs who are friendly towards each other. We have plenty of dog toys, poo bags and treats so unless you want to provide your own, we do have them at all times here as well as dog beds to rest on. I always make sure there is water available at all times and encourage doggy play and training (if required). I tend to do three walks a day but will stick to the routine that you would like for your dog.

“Cecile is very experienced with looking after all dogs big and small and took excellent care of Rocket for us. When we arranged a meet and greet with Cecile we met her on Tooting Common as she was walking two dogs there and I could just tell that she loves dogs and would be a great sitter for Rocket.”

“Stephany was excellent from the initial enquiry to our doggy day-care conclusion. Our puppy seems to have had an enjoyable day in Stephany's company. She's come home in good spirits and is enjoying a well deserved nap. This was our first experience of using Rover and day-care in general. We were able to enjoy some much needed family time knowing that our dog was well cared for”

About: I live in a happy family home, all dog lovers. I have always loved animals and would welcome your best friend in with open arms. I got my first dog in 2015 who quickly became everybody's best friend and part of the family. All dogs are allowed on the furniture with plenty of soft blankets, pillows and laps. We live close to a large park and can also drive to other locations. We love a good walk, depending on what your dog needs, there are no set times for walking, it's what suits you best. I have a young son under 5, one dog (Jack Russell) and there is also a cat who lives with us but he's usually curled up asleep. Please get in touch if you would like to know more! I currently work part-time but there is always a dog loving adult at home 24/7. Depending on what you or your dog needs, we can be flexible. I live in a house with a fenced garden, provide a safe, loving environment where dogs are welcome to the furniture and blankets. Thank you so much for looking after Lucy today! We are so pleased with how today went. Mitch and Lauren are so accommodating and it was lovely to receive photos and updates through the day. Would highly recommend and will definitely be rebooking next time! Thanks again!

Once again, Audrey had a great time with Monika on Boxing Day. She was very happy when we picked her up and even made a new furry friend with another dog that was staying. Audrey doesn’t always get on with other dogs so to see her so relaxed and calm after the day with another dog was amazing to see. Monika is brilliant and Audrey can’t wait for her next stay 😊

Our dear Riley was so content when we collected him after his day with Hayley and Kevin. He was clearly treated with love and as part of the family. There are 1,082 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Eastbourne. About 85% of Eastbourne sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Eastbourne commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
