“Bill is absolutely amazing. Has a lovely calm presence that makes you feel really confident leaving your dog with him. Poppy has such a great time when she’s there and he really pays attention to her needs and wants which is all you can ask for! Would highly recommend!”

“We were absolutely delighted with Bethany’s care of Bonnie. She rushed in to the house to meet Bethany the second time and was obviously very happy. We would highly recommend her care.”

“Joanna was absolute life saver and accepted a last minute booking to look after Reggie. We all immediately felt at ease as she greeted Reggie calmly and obviously understood dogs really well. She took care to ask questions about him before we left and it was clear reggie was going to have a lovely day. We got lots of lovely pics of him lording it on the bed and lying in the garden. He was obviously calm and happy when I picked him up. Highly recommend!!!”

About: We are a retired couple with our own young male golden retriever who have plenty of time on our hands to look after your pet & pamper him or her. Toby our goldie gets on well with all dogs. Before our present dog we had a very lovable goldie called Sam for 14.5 years. We really enjoy walks in the woods and on the beaches . We have a small enclosed secure garden for playing games with our dog and any visitor. We do 3 walks a day with Toby, morning, around lunchtime and evening. All in all we are pretty sure your pet will have an enjoyable time with us and will be most welcome. Having our own dog pet care is primary in everything we do on a day to day basis. From morning till night Toby & any other dog is our priority. Toby has a very secure environment, a safe enclosed garden, when it's hot the house is cool especially where we have tiles. There are plenty of walks in the area.

About: Hi, I’m Leah, and pictured with me is my beloved Miniature Pinscher, Lilly, who sadly passed away in November. Dogs have been at the center of my life since the day I was born, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Growing up in Ireland, our home was always filled with animals, and that lifelong passion eventually grew into professional dog boarding and pet care. After losing Lilly, opening our home in Bexhill to dogs has become a deeply meaningful way for me to continue doing what I love most — providing a safe, calm, loving, and enriching environment for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have hands-on experience raising dogs from birth and professionally managed a daily dog boarding business in Ireland from the age of 18. Over the past year, I have also worked alongside a highly rated professional pet sitter, helping manage a wide range of sits involving everything from young puppies to senior dogs with complex medical and behavioural needs. I am confident caring for: * Puppies requiring structure, routine, and positive reinforcement * Senior dogs needing patience, gentle handling, and medication administration * Dogs with separation anxiety or reactivity * Large and powerful breeds, as well as small and delicate companions Throughout my life, I’ve personally owned and cared for a wide variety of breeds, including Jack Russells, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Toy Poodles, a German Shepherd, an Alaskan Malamute, and Lilly, my Miniature Pinscher. I also helped raise three generations of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, giving me extensive experience with dogs through every stage of life. One thing owners quickly notice about me is how much pride I take in creating a clean, calm, and welcoming environment. I’m an incredibly homely person and genuinely enjoy maintaining an organised and immaculate space, whether dogs are staying in our home or I’m caring for them in yours. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust completely, and I treat every home and animal with the utmost respect and care. My goal is always to make both pets and owners feel completely comfortable. I provide reliable communication, daily updates, and plenty of photos and videos so you can fully relax knowing your dog is safe, happy, and being treated like family. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your dog and discuss how I can help provide the best possible care while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine, and I’m able to provide dogs with plenty of time, attention, companionship, and structure throughout the day. I’m highly flexible with my availability and can accommodate boarding, daycare, walks, drop-ins, and house sitting depending on your needs. Because I genuinely love having dogs around, your pet will never simply be “fit in” around my schedule — their comfort, routine, exercise, and wellbeing will always be a priority. Whether your dog enjoys long walks and playtime or prefers a quieter, calm environment, I’m very happy to adapt to what suits them best. Creating a safe, calm, and loving environment is the most important part of pet care for me. I understand that every dog is different, so I always take time to learn their routines, boundaries, personality, and individual needs to help them feel secure and comfortable. My home in Bexhill is clean, peaceful, and highly organised, with plenty of attention, affection, play, rest, and supervision throughout the day. I am extremely attentive when it comes to safety during walks, feeding, medication administration, introductions, and maintaining routines exactly as owners request. I have a fenced Italian stone garden with access to the seafront and cooler woodland walks and open field space. My car has a dog seat for smaller breeds, and safety buckle leads to ensure their security while travelling in my car. I also have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and pets with medical needs, so I’m confident adapting to more complex care requirements when needed. If caring for your pet in your own home, I will always treat your space with complete respect and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, communication, and reliability. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel completely comfortable and cared for while you’re apart.

I have experience with puppies, training and caring for elderly dogs. Let me know if you have any questions. I work 2 days a week, mainly I work from home but go to the office occasionally. If I was to have your dog I would wfh. They would have regular toilet breaks in my garden.I wake up early, I love to be outside, I love adventures on the beach and miss having a dog to do this with. I have a number of parks nearby too. I am flexible in pretty much every way and happy to send regular updates and pictures. I have a garden but not fenced I would only have your dog on a lead here. I am easy in my apartment, ground floor, so no steps. Happy for dogs to be on furniture depending on your training and rules. I know consistency is key. I live alone, I own my flat.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I got my own at age 6, regularly petsitting for neighbours and friends from age 13. I also volunteered several days a week at an animal shelter for four years, so I've had lots of experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes, ages, and needs. I have a rescue lab mix of my own now, who’s always looking for a new friend. I work 100% remote with a flexible schedule so I’m easily able to fit my day around any dog’s routine. I’m familiar with dogs’ typical needs as I take care of my own! I'm happy to follow whatever routine your dog is used to in your home, and can adapt to your dog's specific needs and preferences. I'll communicate with you on a regular basis so you know your dog is doing well.
“Elizabeth has a great space for looking after dogs. Our dog Violet settled easily and was very happy when we picked her up and had clearly had a good play as she fell asleep right after we picked her up. Thanks so much, if we ever need a dog sitter in the area again we'll definitely look you up.”

We are the sitters you can rely on to give you double the assurance of anyone else on the market. We don't just watch your pets; we welcome them into our family. I am self-employed with minor side gigs, enjoy quiet evenings in and regular trips out into nature. I'm a very homey person and will be with and available for your animals the entire time I am with them. Providing pets with exercise, love, safety and my undivided attention is something I dedicate myself to. None of my side gigs are time intensive so feel assured I'm an extremely present sitter. Daily videos, pictures, updates and even walk tracking reports will give you complete peace of mind that your beloved pet is receiving above and beyond what mum/dad paid for. Just reach out and let's chat about your needs! My goal when house sitting is to provide COMPLETE peace of mind to travelers and pet parents who need truly loving replacements! As someone who loves going abroad and has my own dogs, I understand fully just how difficult it can be to balance the two. Trusting your beloved family members to anyone is always nerve wracking and full of uncertainty. That's what I'm here remove! I know just how valuable complete peace of mind is when you're travelling. How transformative it can be as a pet parent who wants to be present during their trip away. I also understand that achieving complete peace of mind is different for each parent. Discovering and encouraging parents to share every detail of their hopes, wants and expectations during a sit is my motto. Nothing is 'too much' to ask when it comes to achieving your complete peace of mind. Be as picky as you like. I am here for YOU! In regards to safety, trust and environment. As sitters we know that some pet parents may want cameras inside or outside the house. While I have no issue with this, I do require for that they be disclosed and depending on their location, disconnected during the sit. I've experienced cameras in bathrooms before and noone wants to see that! 😆
“These guys were brilliant with our dog. Really went out of their way to help our dog get settled, met beforehand to check the dogs got on, and walked to the house together too on the day again to help our dog settle. Definitely recommend them :)”
About: Hello! I'm Frankie and I live in St Leonards, just a short walk from the beach. I'm a mum of two teenagers who are now busy living their own lives, which means my home is a little quieter these days. I work from home as a Brand and Creative Manager for St John Ambulance, and I'd love some canine company during the week. Dogs have always been part of my life. Growing up we had family dogs, and as an adult I've owned a Labrador and spent plenty of time around Bearded Collies, Staffies and Jack Russells. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I live in a garden flat with a secure enclosed garden, and because I mostly work from home I can easily fit in two or three walks a day. I'm also looking for an excuse to spend more time outdoors, so your dog will definitely not be short of exercise, attention or affection. My home is very much a dog friendly home. Dogs are welcome on the sofa for cuddles and company while I work or watch TV in the evenings. I'll happily follow any routines, feeding schedules or house rules that help your dog feel comfortable and settled. I usually travel to London one day a week for work, but this is flexible and can be arranged around bookings if needed. I'm not quite ready to commit to having a dog of my own again, but I miss having dogs around enormously. Looking after other people's dogs feels like the perfect solution. If you're looking for someone reliable, experienced and genuinely delighted to spend time with your dog, I'd love to hear from you ❤️ I work from home most of the week as a Brand and Creative Manager for St John Ambulance, so I'm around for company, feeding, toilet breaks and walks throughout the day. I usually travel into London one day a week, but this is flexible and can be planned around bookings where needed. Outside of that, I have plenty of time for pets and can comfortably fit in two or three walks a day for dogs. My own children are teenagers and rarely at home now, so I have the time, space and energy to give visiting pets lots of attention and companionship. I live in a ground floor garden flat in St Leonards with a secure enclosed garden and plenty of nearby walking routes, including the seafront. Pets are welcome as part of the household and will be treated as members of the family rather than left on their own all day. I've lived with dogs for most of my life, including Labradors, Staffies, Bearded Collies and Jack Russells, and I'm comfortable following individual routines, feeding schedules and care instructions. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing, sofa cuddles or simply having someone nearby, I'll make sure they feel safe, settled and cared for while you're away. As a manager at St John Ambulance, reliability, responsibility and trust are a big part of my day to day life.

“Madalyn truly loves dogs and my boy feels very comfortable with her and her pooches. After the first day, he had such a wonderful time that he now drags me to the door and toddles off to play with his new best friends and snuggle Madalyn. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my dog was in a home surrounded by happy, well-looked-after dogs, and treated as part of the family rather than just a booking. I got regular updates, photos, and could see how relaxed and content he was the whole time. It’s obvious that Madalyn understands dog behaviour and goes above and beyond to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about dogs, this is the perfect place. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again!”

“Daniel and Alida looked after Steve so well. He came home happy and tired. They were delightful to liaise with when making the booking and I was happy to know Steve was in such safe caring hands”

“Matthew and Tony were excellent! Incredibly flexible with a short notice booking, early start time and a pick up time based on a hospital appointment. Trixie had a brilliant time, lots of running and playing chase. Matthew put her at ease really quickly and dealt with a sensitive dog really well. I would highly recommend Matthew, and I will 100% use him again.”

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
