“We were very happy to leave our dog with Richard. He was kind, thoughtful and welcoming to her without crowding her and was sensitive to her being an older, slightly nervous dog.”

“Tilly and Sam are amazing sitters. It was our very first time for evie to be looked after while we were away and I couldn't have asked for better. Kept us up to date and reassured us that all was OK. I couldn't recommend anyone more!”

About: Available for drop in visits and boarding at my house to care for your pets whilst you’re away. Use my code AMYP05535 for £15 off your first Rover booking! If you’re interested in the doggy day care option, I live in a smoke-free house with a grassy garden and plenty of space for your pets to relax wherever they feel comfortable (I’m not fussy about furniture!). No children or other pets live with me and I only ever board pets from one family at a time so they get my full attention. For a bit of background about me: I have spent time volunteering at a dog and cat rescue shelter in Portugal as well as working at an animal sanctuary in England. I have experience with a variety of dog breeds and have personally rescued two Dogue de Bordeaux’s (French Mastiffs) so have great confidence and competence when it comes to taking care of pets big or small, simple or complex. I work a hybrid schedule, so I can work around your requirements. I’ll work with you to make sure your dogs and cats are well looked after and loved while you’re away. Every pet has their own personality, and I always take the time to get to know their quirks. I’m calm, confident and always happy to follow your routines—whether that means following particular feeding preferences, or special care and cleaning instructions. Drop me a message to see how I can help give your dog/cat the love and care they deserve while you’re out and about! I am available for weekend support and select weekdays. I update my calendar almost daily so I can share my availability as regularly as possible. I will follow all of your house rules, respect your space and put your dog at ease. I am familiar with dealing with dogs with anxiety and high cortisol levels and have good tactics to encourage calm and comfort.
“I highly recommend Katty! She is very polite and love for dogs. My puppy, Milo, came back in a great mood. Katty was helpful and responsed to my enquiries during and after Milo's stay. Overall, both Milo and I are very satisfied with this care!”

About: Hi I’m Keeley, I’m 27 years old and I believe every kitty is the best kitty. I have owned cats all my life, and adopted my first dog in June 2025. I have cared for a range of animals, including snakes, reptiles, and fish, all ranging from young ages to elder animals and those towards the end. I adopted my tortoiseshell little baby and sidekick, Georgia in 2018. She was not treated very well at her last home, but now she is thriving and better than ever. I am also a slave to a long-furred Norwegian Forest called Gingey (he’s ginger, would you believe?). I have cared for him from the moment he was born in my family’s back garden in 2011. I am a proud mum to a Golden Retriever called Hera, who was adopted in 2025. Growing up, I cared for two black cats, Barney and Daisy, who were brother and sister. Sadly, they are no longer with us. I am always available and fully-flexible as your next pet minder for East and West Sussex. I am very trustworthy and reliable, I am also DBS checked, and I am very easy to talk to so do not hesitate to get in touch😄.
About: Hi! I'm an experienced dog owner with over 20 years of caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently share my home with my husband and our dogs Nugget, a friendly 3-year-old Chihuahua × Jack Russell cross, and Archer, my gentle 11-year-old Italian Greyhound. They're both used to having dog visitors, as I already dog sit. Your dog will be treated like part of the family here. They're welcome on the sofa for cuddles, have access to a fully enclosed, secure garden, and we'll enjoy lovely walks just a few minutes from the cliffs and the sea. I understand how important it is to know your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I'm reliable, responsible, and I'll make sure your dog(s) gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can relax knowing they're having a great time. I am currently between jobs and will have plenty of time to look after your dog(s), and give them their daily walks and cuddles I have a fenced of garden that they can always enter. There's grass and a nice lounge set that they are allowed to use :) I fully understand how stressful it can be to leave your dog(s) behind, and I can assure you I will follow all your instructions to keep them safe (as I expect the same thing from my own dogsitter)
“Emma and her family were so lovely looking after our dog Winston. He had the best day going on multiple walks and playing in the park, Emma kindly shared pictures throughout the day to keep us updated too :)”

“Pies stayed with Cathy, Mark and Elvis for the first time two days in a row! We first met for a short walk over the weekend for the dogs to get to know each other and for Cathy to have the opportunity to meet and learn about Pies. I could tell straight away that they would get on. Cathy kept me up to date with pictures and videos of what Pies is up to and I felt confident that Pies is well taken care of. I’d definitely recommend their services and I’ll definitely leave Pies with them again without any doubt.”

“Jane was absolutely brilliant: she kept us updated all day with cute pictures of Elvis - and he was clearly having a lovely time! We'll definitely be asking her to look after him again. Thank you so much, Jane x”

“Megan was great, our puppy Winnie loved hanging out with Megan and her dogs and came home happy and sleepy! She kept us posted all evening with updates and was really flexible. Thanks!”

“Misty, our 4 year old Labrador, had her second day with Nane yesterday. Nane is very flexible in terms of daycare hours. I received a couple of photos and an update from Nane during the day so I knew how Misty was doing. Nane took Misty for a couple of lovely walks and played her favourite game of ball chasing with her. I felt completely relaxed while Misty was with Nane. She will tailor the day to match your animal's needs and provides a safe and comfortable environment for them in her home.”

“Sarah was amazing with Bailey and I was completely reassured that she was in good hands. Bailey was clearly very happy there and if I was local to this area I’d definitely use Sarah’s services again! Thank you”

“Garazi was super helpful, met him a few days earlier and picked him up from home on the day. Buster had a great time with Garazi, lots of cuddles and seemed very happy afterwards, Loved seeing the photos of him chilled on her sofa! Will definitely be contacting Garazi again for future doggy day care!”

“Katelyn was very sweet with Eddie, and though he doesn't like being left and was a bit surprised at first, she soon got him settled down and looked after him well. I picked up a tired, happy and contented dog.”

“Dropped my 2 under a year mini dachshunds off at 10.30 is and picked them up just before 6. Exceptionally easy going, my pups were harnessed and ready to go upon collection. Questions were asked about feeding them and their care. Will definitely be using the service again.”

“We had such a great experience with Ali and Kiernan, both are super friendly and clearly absolute dog lovers! We felt completely confident leaving our cheeky Boston girl, Cosmo, in their care. It was lovely to receive updates and photos throughout the day, which really put our minds at ease. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter. The dog seemed very happy after her short stay with Richard - he was also very easy to get in touch with both before and during the stay, was kind enough to send update photos throughout the day, and was flexible when we were running late to pick her up, so very good overall

Teddy had a wonderful day with Jane. It was his first time and Jane made him feel thoroughly at home, so much so by the time I collected him he had a favourite chair. Jane gave me lots of updates throughout the day. He was walked, fed and entertained, I think he would’ve been very happy to stay longer. Thank you Jane

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
