“Gari had the best day!!! Tilda gave me regular updates, sent photos and took Gari on long walks frequently. She also took her to a cafe to socialise her whichs she loved. Gari returned tired and happy. Tilda is clearly a natural with dogs and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Lisa took care of our boy at very short notice. She took good care of him and he definitely almost wanted to stay when we went to collect him! Thanks so much for looking after him xx”
“Leanne and Abbie were amazing with Dolly. Although Dolly had only met Leanne briefly before her daycare stay, she came racing up to her the morning I dropped her off, which immediately put me at ease. She was happy and comfortable from the start, and I received plenty of photos and updates throughout the day that I really loved seeing. They were both incredibly responsive, and it was clear Dolly was being very well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.”

“Sarah was amazing! Quick on communication and helpful with our last-minute request. A positive person and interaction, she kept us updated about our puppy throughout the day! Also reasonable pricing ❤️ Thank you!”

About: I’m Emma, your future go-to sitter with a passion for furry friends. For four years, I've been the favourite on Trusted House Sitters, proudly sporting a 5-star rating 🌟 I’m a freelancer who works from home so I have really flexible weekdays! I love spending time with animals. From patiently training lively puppies to offering tender senior care - I’m comfortable with it all :) Looking forward to giving your pet the VIP treatment they deserve! As I mentioned above, I've recently transitioned into freelancing, which has given me a fantastic amount of flexibility in my daily and weekly routines. With this newfound freedom, I've got ample time to prioritise pet care. Whether it's early morning walks, afternoon or evening playtime, I can easily fit these into my schedule. Your pet's routine and comfort will always be at the forefront of my day! When it comes to providing a safe and trustworthy environment for pets, I always prioritise their needs and wellbeing. While I live in a flat without a garden, I'm equipped to care for pets here for short durations, like a day. With regular toilet breaks and indoor play, your pet will be well-tended and comfy. However, for stays extending beyond a day, I believe in keeping pets in their familiar surroundings. Hence, I'd prefer to care for them in the owner's house, ensuring they're most at ease in the environment they know best. Regardless of location, rest assured your fur baby's safety and happiness are my top priorities!

I have a garden for dogs to use and am close to the seafront for lots of walks, countryside too. I always follow owners rules about walking their dogs, am mindful of how other dogs might interact with the dogs I am looking after, and careful with roads and fast moving water. I check pets for ticks and always carry a tick remover. I interact with your pets to keep them stimulated if need be, and give tons of love! I am experienced with administering medication to animals and always make sure it has been taken! If am driving your dogs around I make sure they are secure in my camper van and use a harness to make sure they are safe.
“Luna and her partner were great. We had a lovely initial meeting ahead of booking day care. Buddy took an instant liking to them and they were super helpful. On the day they let me join to meet the other dog they were looking after so I could be reassured they got along fine (which they did). At the end of the day care they even dropped Buddy home and sent a nice report with photos of the day!! As it was they first time they cared for him, would have liked to have a mid-day update but overall was very happy with their care!”

About: We are Sara & Frans, a couple in our mid-40s living next to St Ann’s Wells Gardens and the seafront in Hove. We love having dogs around and enjoy providing a calm, safe, and happy environment for them. We offer doggy day care and overnight boarding, with lots of love, attention, and walks. I work from home and Frans gets home by 4 pm, so your dog will never be short of company. Our home has a private, fully fenced garden—perfect for safe outdoor play—and we’re ideally located for walks in the park or along the seafront. We both have plenty of experience with dogs. Frans grew up around pedigree Labradors, as his parents were breeders, and we recently said goodbye to our own much-loved dog, so we truly understand how important consistent, caring attention is. We’re also trained in Dog First Aid for added peace of mind, and we speak English, Spanish, and French. We’re happy to tailor care to your dog’s individual needs, ensuring they feel relaxed, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away. I work from home with flexibility to change the schedule, and Frans finish work at 4pm. We both free during weekends for boarding or long stays We have a fenced private garden and plenty of space to play around and chill in the apartment, providing walks morning, lunch and after work
“Rachel was so responsive in her communication and, above all, caring and affectionate with Pimms that we almost don't want to say how fantastic s\with doggies he is. But she is! Thanks Rachel!”

“Azar was absolutely wonderful with Stevie during her first days away from home. She sent regular updates and photos, and it was clear Stevie was happy and well cared for. Stevie settled in beautifully and seemed to really enjoy her time, especially having lovely company with Sesame. It gave us real peace of mind knowing she was in such kind and capable hands. We’re very grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Azar again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Stevie!”

About: Hi there! My boyfriend, Olly, and I are looking for our next furry friend to spoil and go on adventures with. We are passionate dog and cat lovers and would love more opportunities to make new dog and cat friends. Some things to know about us: 1. We both grew up with dogs (and in my case, cats as well) and have had loads of fun training them from a young age. Beyond “sit” and “fetch,” we can even try to teach your dog how to headbutt a balloon or count by barking! 2. We love discovering the unique personalities of our dog friends and their often not-so-secret addictions to balls, special toys, leads, or anything else. :) 3. We are comfortable with all breeds, big or small. 4. We love good food and always make sure our furry friends get their treats and meals on time too. 5. We are both toilet-trained and will make sure our furry friends do their business outside. 😄 What we offer: 1. Cuddles and playtime to brighten up your dog’s day 2. Short or long walks as needed for exercise 3. Feeding, fresh water and photo updates throughout the day 4. Fun trick training We both work from home in Hove and have flexible schedules during the week and on weekends. Thursdays and Fridays are ideal, but we can adjust our schedule with adequate notice for other days. Our spacious flat is a calm and safe environment with enough room for some low-key zoomies for dogs and some cozy corners for cats. For walks with dogs, we would go to St Ann’s Park, Palmeira Square, Hove Park, or the beach. Before leaving your dog/cat with us, we kindly ask you to: 1. Send us your main phone number and an emergency contact in case we can’t reach you. 2. Provide your vet’s address in case of any emergencies. 3. Share any important information, including rules, diet, allergies/sensitivities, nap time/daily schedule, habits, and any special behaviour for the pets. 4. Bring their favourite toys, treats, blanket to help create a familiar and comforting environment, as well as food if they need feeding. 5. If you have a dog, please share dome information on how your dog interacts with other dogs. 6. If you have cats, please bring your litter box as we do not have a garden.

“Roxy was absolutely wonderful with Teddy! Teddy had an amazing time and I appreciated the pupdates which gave me peace of mind! Roxy also very kindly came and collected Teddy from our location which was so helpful. Highly recommend”

“Laura was super friendly with both my dog and me, very flexible and helpful. She kept me updated during the day and sent me lovely photos 🥰. I really hope to book Laura again as I felt I could really trust her with my beloved pet.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love having them around. As I work from home (mostly) I have the time to take, morning and lunch time walks and can make sure your dog is getting the attention they need throughout the day. I regularly dog sit for friends during the summer holidays so have plenty experience looking after dogs full time. I have plenty of green areas just a stones throw from my house. I work full time and primarily from home. I occasionally have to travel into London for work (these dates will be updated in my availability). On the days that I am able to dog sit, I can do boarding overnight and am happy to take dogs over the weekend when I am free. I do not have any pets of my own so can welcome any dog into my home. My flat is enclosed, safe, and spacious and I live on a quiet road.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mariam was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Daisy. This was my first time using a dog sitter through Rover, and I was a little nervous, but she immediately put me at ease with her excellent communication and thoughtful updates throughout Daisy’s stay. She was incredibly conscientious and went above and beyond to make sure Daisy was comfortable, especially during the hot weather. She provided cooling mats, a cooling scarf, and took extra care to ensure Daisy stayed happy and safe in the heat. It was also so lovely to see Daisy spending time with Mariam’s dog, Sai. Mariam was attentive, kind, and perfectly communicative from start to finish. I felt completely comfortable leaving Daisy in her care and would absolutely book with her again in the future. Thank you so much, Mariam and Sai, for taking such great care of Daisy!

We’ve had Emily look after lilo a few times now! Emily takes amazing care with Lilo and is very quick at responding to last minute requests! Emily is always so excited to see lilo and ensures lilo has a great day by taking her to the beach! We also get photos throughout the stay putting our mind at ease💕🩷

Our 8 month old Cockapoo puppy had a great day boarding experience with IIiyana! As well as enjoying playing with her cat and dog he had a lovely walk. IIiyana provided updates and photos and we felt very relaxed about leaving our puppy with her. Zio came back happy and tired from his walk & stay. We have already booked in an overnight stay! Thank you IIiyana!

Juno had a lovely time with Roxy! From the very start, she was made to feel comfortable — Tom and Roxy took the time to meet Juno beforehand and let her explore the house and the environment she’d be staying in. It made such a difference and really put us at ease. Throughout the day I received thoughtful updates, which we really appreciated, it was clear Juno felt happy and relaxed with them. She came home content and tired in the best way. Would absolutely recommend and book Roxy again!

Steve took excellent care of my dog Olly recently! He was easy to communicate with, really flexible on timings, adapted to Olly’s needs, sent me lots of photos throughout the day and met me at the station to hand Olly over. I’d definitely recommend Steve to others.

There are 2,271 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Hove. About 87% of Hove sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Hove commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
