“Sarah is the best! Our Ernie is always taken on the loveliest walks and has the best time. We love the photo updates and are always fully confident he is in safe hands. Thank you Sarah”

“Sara and Frans stepped in at the last minute and were so friendly and lovely to my dog, I knew very quickly he’d be safe with them. I got lots of updates during his stay with them, and he came back to me very happy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other pet owners. Thank you so much again Sara and Frans and hope to re book you soon!”

“I can’t recommend Talabi more highly, Monty had such a lovely time during his stay with Talabi, he was happy as a happy thing. We received pics and videos every day, Talabi was patient and spent time training Monty, she is absolutely fabulous and clearly a dog lover. I will not hesitate to use Talabi again in future, in fact, Monty is looking forward to his next visit. Thanks so much for taking such wonderful care of him.”

“Scout absolutely loves going to Verity’s, and especially loved her overnight stay! She can’t wait to go back. Verity is always so kind and helpful and we trust her implicitly. She makes leaving Scout very easy for us!”

“Hannah is lovely! It was the first time we had left our dog with anyone and she can be reactive wirh other dogs. Hannahs communication before and during our holiday was brilliant, we did a meet before and she sent photos while we were away. Bear looked very happy and relaxed! Hannah and Ryan are obviously experienced with dogs and genuinely care for the animals they look after. Thank you so much!”

“Leanne and Abbie were absolutely brilliant with Rafi, he is a nervous boy until you get to know him and they were caring and patient with him and sent lots of updates and pictures, he settled right in and had a great time. Thank you both so much!”

“It was a last minute booking with Suzana but as soon as I met her, I knew Connie would be well cared for in a lovely home. Thank you for the regular photo updates and we will definitely be in touch when we visit Brighton again.”

“I can’t recommend Valentina highly enough. She kindly accommodated a very last-minute request after another boarder cancelled, which already meant a lot. From the start, it was clear that she has a huge understanding of dogs and is incredibly caring and patient. My dog Kiki can be quite anxious, but Valentina was so accommodating and attentive to her needs. She kept me updated with plenty of messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. Most importantly, Kiki was completely at ease during her stay and came back home relaxed and happy. Thank you, Valentina, for taking such wonderful care of Kiki — I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.”

“Izzy and her partner (soz, neither Justin nor I colud remember yourr name) took incredible care of Archie and Zita while we were away. They clearly loved dogs, and we both felt very comfortable leaving them in their care. We got daily updates via whatsapp with lovely messages, photos, and videos that showed just how happy and relaxed they were. Archie, who frankly is quite high maintenance, was clearly very chilled watching the world go by from the back of their sofa. Izzy and her partner walked the dogs daily and let them have the run of their flat which is very much the lifestyle to which they are accustomed. We came back to 2 very happy dogs. They were also very understanding when we realised our collection time was going to be much later than agreed due to our failure to read the flight times correctly. Justin is cabin crew, so that's a worry. I won't mention the airline. We have no hesitation in recommending Izzy and we will definitely be using them again.”

“Alice was a fantastic dog sitter. Ruby had grrat long walks and loads of cuddles and I recieved updates throughout the day. Thanks for taking her on short notice, would love you to sit for her again.”

“Really pleased we chose Roxy to take care of our furry friend! The communication throughout was excellent, and we really appreciated the regular updates. It was clear our pup was in good hands, and we returned to a happy and well-cared-for pet. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Roxy and Tom again for any future dog-sitting needs.”

“We cannot recommend Huda enough! She took incredible care of our kitten while we were away, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Huda kept us updated throughout, sending adorable pictures and updates that really put our minds at ease. Her chill, understanding attitude was such a blessing, especially when our train was delayed, and we ended up showing up late to pick up our kitten. She handled the situation with so much kindness and patience. It’s clear Huda genuinely loves animals, and our kitten warmed up to her immediately. Knowing our little one was in such good hands made our trip so much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a reliable, caring, and all-around amazing pet sitter, Huda is the one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Sarah was great. Dora had a nice time despite the very hot weather, and returned home clearly very happy. Sarah kept us updated at all times with photos and comments. Many thanks!”

“Really really nice couple! Bailey was clearly so relaxed with them and loved it at their house, I was sent lots of pictures and had frequent updates of her and what she was up to. Would recommend! Xx”

“Fabulous sitter for our medium sized rescue dog Scrumpy. He's got a few quirks but Isobel didn't seem fazed by them! She was also super flexible for us with the drop off and collection. Would definitely recommend 😊”

“Joely was amazing! I left my doggo with her for four days and she took care of her really well and kept me updated the whole time. She was sending me photos and videos and I didn't have to worry about my dog ❤️ she's great and I definitely recommend her to anyone. We will also ask her to take care of her again”

“Alix looked after Syd, our Welsh Terrier. After a full debrief with Syd, we concluded that many excellent walks were had, treats were dispensed and balls repeatedly thrown. 5 paws out of 5. No notes.”

“Jade was wonderful with my cat! This was my first time ever using a cat sitter and I was worried about how he would cope with a stranger as he is a nervous rescue. I’m so pleasantly surprised to see how relaxed he was. Thank you so much Jade!”

“This is the first time we have worked with someone from the Rover app, and Irina surpassed our expectations! She was extremely responsive and professional throughout, and even took the time to send lots of photos and videos and give detailed updates which we were not expecting. I have no hesitation in recommending Irina, and hopefully she will be available for us to book for future trips. Thank you!”

“We wouldn't hesitate to use Luna again and couldn't recommend her enough. She was wonderful with our cat, Violet. She sent updates and photos after each visit, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!”

“I cannot thank Annabel enough for the peace of mind she provided me with whilst she was looking after my 2 cats. I had to go abroad rather urgently and having never used a pet sitter before and being anxious about letting a stranger in my house to care for my cats, it was a rather dauting thing for me. I'm happy to say that she completely dispelled any fear or anxiety I had around the topic. I had thorough and detailed updates with every single visit and the cats absolutely adored her. She even left behind 2 sweet polaroid's of the cats for me to find upon my return. I will 100000% be using her services again in the future and I know the cats would love to have her look after them again!”

About: I grew up with 12 dogs at home and countless weekends spent at dog agility shows. This grew into a lifelong love of dogs of all sizes and personalities. I've spent the past 10 years dog sitting and walking, through word-of-mouth recommendation, until someone suggested I join Rover! I am an easy going and naturally active person, so I love to take dogs on long walks, or take them socializing in cafes (if they like to!), and do basic trick training. I've experience with dogs of all sizes, from collies to GSD's and retired greyhounds to Chihuahuas. I'm a freelancer and part-time yoga teacher, so I have lots of time to spend with four legged friends, so you can be sure they get most of my attention! I plan my work around my pups, not the other way around. At mine: I have a dog friendly apartment on ground floor, no garden but quick access to St Annes garden OR Palmeria Square. I have room to set up a crate if that is your preference. I have enrichment toys and a dog bed here too. At yours: I will follow your preferred instructions! Walking: I always stay present with the dog, I don't walk with headphones in and I am mindful of distractions or the dog's personality. I am happy to follow your preference on walk type, length, and location (within radius!) Cafe socializing: if you would like your dog to spend time in cafes and socialise, I love this too! not all dogs enjoy this, some love it, so this is down to preference. Again, the dogs comfort and tolerance is my number one priority!

“Thank you so much for the cats feeding and looking after it meant so much to me and the cleaning out of the world. If I could do, it’s 11 out of 10 super.🙌🙌👍👍”

“Kate has taken care of our three cats on several occasions now and we could not ask for more from a cat sitter. Kate clearly loves cats and she gladly sends us videos and photos along with her very reliable cat caring service. One of our cats is very shy but he warmed to Kate straight away. Highly recommended.”

“Pedro had the best time with Laura. He didn’t want to leave! Laura was amazing, sending loads of updates and pictures for us. We would absolutely recommend and Pedro can’t wait to visit again.”

“Sophie recently completed a drop in visit for our cat Mimi! The communication was excellent and Sophie made sure all our needs were met and Mimi was looked after whilst checking in with us throughout her visit. We received some cute pictures whilst away to let us know Mimi was happy and recieving some love! I would recommend Sophie and happily book her again for future cat visits whilst away! 😺 😺”

“It’s our second time using Laura and we wouldn’t want anyone else to look after Frida and Fergs because they love her! Always come home to very relaxed and happy cats, great updates throughout the time we’re away too. Always feel really at ease knowing Laura is taking such good care of them. Thanks again! ”

“Melina is great! Our cat is very shy but she managed to captivate him and he was very relaxed when we arrived! 🤩 totally recommend! She send us photos and videos and we were very lucky to find her! ”

About: I love animals and grew up around dogs, cats, chinchillas, birds and fish! I’ve been in London just over 10 years and just moved to Brighton last summer. I’ve sat dogs and cats for numerous Rover users and friends, and also used to have a neighbour’s cat drop in for visits every day for years before my recent Brighton move. I genuinely want to spend time with animals and would happily walk dogs or drop in to feed/ play with cats in my area. Happy to host pets at my place as. I wouldn’t be comfortable taking in pets from multiple households at the same time as this is largely set up for companionship rather than revenue while my partner and I work our life out to have a pet (or more likely pets) or our own . Can also stay at yours with a bit of an advance notice. I work a nearly fully remote job so am around pretty much all working weeks and most weekends :) These days I have a few calls a day totalling around two to three hours so I am truly flexible with my pet sitting schedule I don’t have a garden but my flat is right by a few greens and a large park is 10mins away. I have no toxic plants for cats or dogs. I’ve cared for senior dogs and cats so am no stranger to a tablet pusher or a secret ham pill roll. Have also cared for cats with asthma and given them inhalers.
“Ruta looked after our cat while we were away - she completed daily drop-ins to feed out cat and check she was ok. Everything went smoothly and communication was excellent.”

“Genna is an absolute find, and my 5-star rating may mean she is too busy for us in the future, but if I could give her 6 stars, I would! Our short break was better knowing our fur babies were being looked after so well. We received regular updates and photos, and the house was spotless upon our return. The cats miss her! ”

“Super friendly, kind and professional - I really appreciated the updates on how my cat Precious was (even if she was attacking her!!). Would definitely recommend - thanks again Suzana :)”

“Gari had the best day!!! Tilda gave me regular updates, sent photos and took Gari on long walks frequently. She also took her to a cafe to socialise her whichs she loved. Gari returned tired and happy. Tilda is clearly a natural with dogs and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Azar was absolutely wonderful with Stevie during her first days away from home. She sent regular updates and photos, and it was clear Stevie was happy and well cared for. Stevie settled in beautifully and seemed to really enjoy her time, especially having lovely company with Sesame. It gave us real peace of mind knowing she was in such kind and capable hands. We’re very grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Azar again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Stevie!”

“Lisa took care of our boy at very short notice. She took good care of him and he definitely almost wanted to stay when we went to collect him! Thanks so much for looking after him xx”
About: Hi there! My boyfriend, Olly, and I are looking for our next furry friend to spoil and go on adventures with. We are passionate dog and cat lovers and would love more opportunities to make new dog and cat friends. Some things to know about us: 1. We both grew up with dogs (and in my case, cats as well) and have had loads of fun training them from a young age. Beyond “sit” and “fetch,” we can even try to teach your dog how to headbutt a balloon or count by barking! 2. We love discovering the unique personalities of our dog friends and their often not-so-secret addictions to balls, special toys, leads, or anything else. :) 3. We are comfortable with all breeds, big or small. 4. We love good food and always make sure our furry friends get their treats and meals on time too. 5. We are both toilet-trained and will make sure our furry friends do their business outside. 😄 What we offer: 1. Cuddles and playtime to brighten up your dog’s day 2. Short or long walks as needed for exercise 3. Feeding, fresh water and photo updates throughout the day 4. Fun trick training We both work from home in Hove and have flexible schedules during the week and on weekends. Thursdays and Fridays are ideal, but we can adjust our schedule with adequate notice for other days. Our spacious flat is a calm and safe environment with enough room for some low-key zoomies for dogs and some cozy corners for cats. For walks with dogs, we would go to St Ann’s Park, Palmeira Square, Hove Park, or the beach. Before leaving your dog/cat with us, we kindly ask you to: 1. Send us your main phone number and an emergency contact in case we can’t reach you. 2. Provide your vet’s address in case of any emergencies. 3. Share any important information, including rules, diet, allergies/sensitivities, nap time/daily schedule, habits, and any special behaviour for the pets. 4. Bring their favourite toys, treats, blanket to help create a familiar and comforting environment, as well as food if they need feeding. 5. If you have a dog, please share dome information on how your dog interacts with other dogs. 6. If you have cats, please bring your litter box as we do not have a garden.
About: We are Sara & Frans, a couple in our mid-40s living next to St Ann’s Wells Gardens and the seafront in Hove. We love having dogs around and enjoy providing a calm, safe, and happy environment for them. We offer doggy day care and overnight boarding, with lots of love, attention, and walks. I work from home and Frans gets home by 4 pm, so your dog will never be short of company. Our home has a private, fully fenced garden—perfect for safe outdoor play—and we’re ideally located for walks in the park or along the seafront. We both have plenty of experience with dogs. Frans grew up around pedigree Labradors, as his parents were breeders, and we recently said goodbye to our own much-loved dog, so we truly understand how important consistent, caring attention is. We’re also trained in Dog First Aid for added peace of mind, and we speak English, Spanish, and French. We’re happy to tailor care to your dog’s individual needs, ensuring they feel relaxed, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away. I work from home with flexibility to change the schedule, and Frans finish work at 4pm. We both free during weekends for boarding or long stays We have a fenced private garden and plenty of space to play around and chill in the apartment, providing walks morning, lunch and after work
About: I’m Emma, your future go-to sitter with a passion for furry friends. For four years, I've been the favourite on Trusted House Sitters, proudly sporting a 5-star rating 🌟 I’m a freelancer who works from home so I have really flexible weekdays! I love spending time with animals. From patiently training lively puppies to offering tender senior care - I’m comfortable with it all :) Looking forward to giving your pet the VIP treatment they deserve! As I mentioned above, I've recently transitioned into freelancing, which has given me a fantastic amount of flexibility in my daily and weekly routines. With this newfound freedom, I've got ample time to prioritise pet care. Whether it's early morning walks, afternoon or evening playtime, I can easily fit these into my schedule. Your pet's routine and comfort will always be at the forefront of my day! When it comes to providing a safe and trustworthy environment for pets, I always prioritise their needs and wellbeing. While I live in a flat without a garden, I'm equipped to care for pets here for short durations, like a day. With regular toilet breaks and indoor play, your pet will be well-tended and comfy. However, for stays extending beyond a day, I believe in keeping pets in their familiar surroundings. Hence, I'd prefer to care for them in the owner's house, ensuring they're most at ease in the environment they know best. Regardless of location, rest assured your fur baby's safety and happiness are my top priorities!
“Lottie had the best time with Leanne! We received plenty of updates, pictures and videos throughout the day, would definitely recommend Leanne and use her services again!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love having them around. As I work from home (mostly) I have the time to take, morning and lunch time walks and can make sure your dog is getting the attention they need throughout the day. I regularly dog sit for friends during the summer holidays so have plenty experience looking after dogs full time. I have plenty of green areas just a stones throw from my house. I work full time and primarily from home. I occasionally have to travel into London for work (these dates will be updated in my availability). On the days that I am able to dog sit, I can do boarding overnight and am happy to take dogs over the weekend when I am free. I do not have any pets of my own so can welcome any dog into my home. My flat is enclosed, safe, and spacious and I live on a quiet road.

About: Hi, I’m Callie, a huge animal lover based in Hove, with over 24 years of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I’ve grown up surrounded by animals including dogs, cats, chickens, horses, guinea pigs and more, so I understand how much love, patience, routine and attention goes into keeping pets happy, healthy and comfortable. I’ve been using Rover for over 4 years now and absolutely love it. Over that time I’ve cared for a wide range of dogs and cats with all sorts of personalities and needs from energetic puppies chewing everything in sight to big affectionate dogs who think they’re lap dogs! I’m very calm, adaptable and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal individually. As well as Rover, I volunteered at a dog sanctuary in Guatemala while travelling through Central America, helping care for rescue dogs day-to-day. I’ve also done longer-term dog sitting while travelling, including month-long stays, so I’m very comfortable maintaining routines and helping pets feel settled and secure while their owners are away. I’m equally a cat person too! My sister has two very demanding, very characterful cats who I regularly help care for, so I’m used to independent personalities, different feeding routines, playtime, cuddles on their terms, and all the little quirks that come with cats. I’m physically fit, active, and love being outdoors, so I genuinely enjoy long walks and making sure dogs get plenty of exercise, stimulation and attention. I also have experience administering medication to both dogs and cats, and understand the importance of patience, trust and consistency when caring for animals with additional needs. I know how important it is finding someone trustworthy to look after your pets and house, and I always try to make animals feel as relaxed, loved and cared for as possible while you’re away. I am currently working with a 7 days on 7 days off schedule. So am often available for a week at a time, which would be ideal for clients who need a sitter while on holiday. I am flexible and adaptive to fit your pets needs and routine. I have found the best way to create a good connection and trust between both myself and the dog and myself and the owner is to arrange a pre meet so I can come and meet your dog/ pets make sure we get on, while you talk me though their needs and how to take care of your house too!
“Alix was great. She suggested a meet & greet so we could chat through what Otis would need. She’s got a lovely kind energy and really seemed to enjoy taking care of him. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again and am super happy to have found her.”

“Roxy was absolutely wonderful with Teddy! Teddy had an amazing time and I appreciated the pupdates which gave me peace of mind! Roxy also very kindly came and collected Teddy from our location which was so helpful. Highly recommend”

“Laura was so lovely- really warm and friendly to us all and put our minds at ease straight away about starting with a new sitter. Doris loved her! Kept us informed and was so helpful Thank you!”

“A great first experience with Verity. Arranging our first Meet & Greet and subsequent Doggy Day Care was a breeze. Scout seemed very comfortable with Verity and was certainly in no rush to leave at the end of the day! We’ll definitely be re-booking soon.”

“Monica was so lovely with our German Shepard. Because we stayed only one day in Brighton, it was not possible to see Monica in advance. The communication was very important for us. She was always available and she also sended pictures during our dogs stay at her home. She was very trustworthy and kind and not afraid of a big dog like basu. I would definitely choose Monica again if we are in Brighton. Thank you so so much! It seemed that he missed you a bit too :)”

“Annabel is fantastic with our Cocker Spaniel, he’s quite an anxious and excitable dog and she’s been really calm and taken her time in the house with him and building his trust. She’s very responsive and always sends photos and a summary of the visit. We’ve used Annabel multiple times and will continue to, she’s fantastic with dogs and very reliable”

“Ting’s communication throughout the whole process was great, and she let me know how my older ( and slightly stubborn!) dog was on both her walks. She also walked in the direction Heidi wanted to go, which I thought was great!”

I Live in secure settings, directly across from the park and beach, one thing, must be cat friendly dogs as I have two dog friendly cats.
About: I've grown up around pets, and have experience with both cats & dogs. I owned a Burmese cat (Tia) for 14 years, and my Cocker Spaniel (Willa), who I trained over four years including ongoing behavioural training. I also often look after friends and family's pets, and treat them all as if they were my own :) I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, so am able to adapt to each pets needs. I make sure to provide lots of cuddles and activities too! I live in a pet friendly building, right near Hove Park, so ensure to take several walks out daily but often also drive to larger spaces like Waterhall or the Dyke.
“I don’t know who’s more jn love with Kiki. Me or the pups. They had so so much fun they didn’t want her to leave, I didn’t either and now even I want to go walkies with her! We’re keeping her so if you want her too you may have to share!”

“Emma walks my dog Rozi each day, she is super reliable & responsive. Rozi has been experiencing separation anxiety and Emma has been really helpful at following steps to support Rozi when she arrives & leaves. Rozi also isn’t very good with other dogs & Emma tailors walks to suit her. I always get updates and I’m so happy that Rozi has such a great person looking after her each day on her walk!”

“Emily was great with Alfie, he’s a nervous dog with lots of energy, and Emily was very patient with him and worked on building his trust. Communication was great and I would definitely book again, and recommend Emily 😊”

About: I've been passionate about caring for animals since childhood, growing up with both a Labrador and a rescue cat. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience looking after a wide range of dogs and cats, not only in my own home but also for pet owners in London and Brighton. This experience has taught me how to handle pets with different personalities and needs, ensuring they feel happy, safe, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s playful walks, feeding routines, or giving lots of cuddles, I always treat every animal as if they were my own. As a PhD student with the freedom to set my own hours and work from home, I can tailor my schedule to fit your pet’s needs—whether that means midday cuddles, evening walks, or even staying overnight in your home. My flexible lifestyle means your pets get dedicated, reliable company whenever you need it. When caring for pets I try to create a safe and stressfree environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I make sure to stick closely to their usual routines—feeding, walks, playtime, and quiet moments—so they experience as little disruption as possible. and I keep owners updated with photos and messages.

“Beckie is the perfect dog sitter. She accepted our last-minute request after our other dog sitter cancelled. Sai had the best two days with her. She took her on walks and to a cafe, and she met lots of people. Meeting people is Sai's favourite thing to do, so she had a rich social life. She even got to spend a few hours with another dog that was visiting Beckie. Of course, we had agreed in advance and Beckie confirmed that Sai would be okay with another dog. She is great at communicating, reassured me constantly when we were away, and sent me lots of cute photos. I definitely recommend her to anyone! Thank you again. I'm sure Sai will be back 💚”

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats for 20+ years as I have had my own pets, I have volunteered as an animal carer, or I have sat pets of friend and neighbors. I have experience of caring for pets across age groups as well as health conditions. I am good at understanding the needs of animals and able to administer medication, etc. Although I have a full-time job, I have a lot of flexibility as I work from home and I can juggle my time through the day along with pet-sitting. I have dogs of my own but I can keep a guest dog in my home as we have spare room(s)/space. I also have a decent-sized garden. I have a small and a large crate too
“We had a last minute trip up to Scotland and Iliyana kindly responded promptly and offered our pooch a place. She was great at communicating and regularly sent me updates with pictures of how Lula was doing, also checking in when it initially appeared Lula wasn’t eating (she always waits a long time to see if anything more interesting comes along ;) Messages were always quickly responded to and I really appreciated she was kind and flexible when we got congested in traffic on the motorway on our way back. Great and kind sitter, our dog was well taken care of and would highly recommend!”
