About: I've always had dogs growing up and absolutely love their company and taking them for long walks. I've been dogsitting for the past 4 years, including dog walking, dog sitting and overnight stays. We have a lovely border terrier called Blue who is a year and a half who would also love some more doggy company! She is very friendly but also very flexible to match your pet's temperant! I would describe myself as friendly, responsible and reliable. It's important to me that the dogs in my care are safe and happy and I love giving them all the attention they need! We normally take Blue out for walks along the beach, Wish Park or we drive up to Hove Park. We can be flexible depending on what works for your dog! I know it's important for owners to be kept in the loop so I always make sure I send regular updates including lots of cute photos! I work from home most days so I'm able to take the dogs out for a walk before work. I usually walk along the beach or go to Wish Park so they can run around (I can also keep your dog on a lead if you feel more comfortable with this!). During the day, I will take frequent breaks to make sure the dogs are happy and getting enough stimulation. Our dog Blue loves playing with other dogs but is also very relaxed if they aren't that interested! At lunchtime, we will head out for another walk for 45 mins- 1 hour. I have a fenced and walled garden which is very secure. I will make to pay special attention to any dietary requirements and respect any expectations and rules of your home!

About: Hello we are Courtney and Dan, a Kiwi and Brit living in Brighton with our 4 year old daughter.
We've been looking after doggos since living in NZ through fostering which included us then adopting our 9 year old Cavapoo called Arlo. We all made the move back (including Arlo) to the UK in 2023, to be closer to family. We had to say goodbye to our pup Arlo to doggy heaven at the end of 2024 and looking to pour our love into looking after your companion. Our home is close to the South Downs, perfect for long dog walks in the countryside.
Please get in touch if this sounds of interest, we are happy to answer any questions you have, or schedule a meet with your pup. Dan works from home and I am currently on a sabbatical, so the doggos will always have one of us to look after and play with them. We have a fully fenced enclosed garden giving room for your pup to run around or do their business in. We will love your dog like they are part of the family and ensure they are walked and played with.

About: I have over 12 years’ experience caring for my own four family dogs, so looking after pets really is second nature to me. I know every dog is different and I’m always happy to go at their pace, whether that’s a good long walk, a walk round the block, or just plenty of fuss and company while you’re away. I work from home, so your dog will never be left alone. They will always have company, attention and cuddles throughout the day. I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, relaxed and loved. I’m available for walks during lunchtime, evenings, and weekends, so whether your dog needs a midday stroll or a weekend adventure, I’ve got it covered. Your pet’s safety and happiness are always my top priorities. During walks, I keep dogs on the lead and pay close attention to their comfort and surroundings. For drop-ins and house sitting, I follow your instructions closely, whether it’s feeding, medications, or sticking to routines, while also keeping your home secure and respected. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to create a calm, loving environment where your pets feel comfortable, cared for, and safe, whether I’m visiting for a short check-in, staying overnight, or spending the day together.

Kate has taken care of our three cats on several occasions now and we could not ask for more from a cat sitter. Kate clearly loves cats and she gladly sends us videos and photos along with her very reliable cat caring service. One of our cats is very shy but he warmed to Kate straight away. Highly recommended.

My partner, Rebecca, and I co-dogsit together which means your dog receives double the attention and constant supervision. We love caring for pups. I have grown up with dogs and have cared for a variety of breeds for my friends and family for many years. We are both experienced in dogsitting together, and now based in Hove, offer our care services for your pup - whether it's sitting, boarding, daycare, walks, or visits. What we offer: -Experienced and attentive dog sitting with constant supervision -A warm, comfy home with plenty of affection and playtime -Beach walks, local adventures, and exercise tailored to your pup’s needs -Timely meals and a structured routine -Excellent communication, including pet updates and reports -Flexible scheduling, including weekends We work regularly from home and have no children or other dogs/pets at home so your pup would receive our undivided attention! We are a calm, clean and smokefree home with a lot of love and affection to offer during the week. We are often available at weekends. We offer constant supervision, walks, play and affection to reassure and enrich your dog's experience. We are active people who needs to be regularly walked ourselves! Our home is a cosy apartment in a Hove-based square (see pictures!) with plenty of green outdoor space directly outside, where many neighbours in our building and around the square exercise their pups. We are also just a minute's walk from the beach which is great for strolls. We are active people and at weekends, we enjoy exploring local, scenic spots, for example, the Devil's Dyke, around Seven Sisters, the Undercliffe Walk, so if your dog enjoys a longer walk, we'd be happy to bring them along. We will tailor our weekend walking activity to your dog's specific needs.

About: I am a 29 year old artist, living in Hove with my boyfriend. We both love animals and believe our dogs are another family member. I have experience working with animals, having worked in the kennels at Dogs Trust in the past, and am volunteering there on a weekly basis now. I have completed the Introduction to Dog Behaviour course at Plumpton College, and hold a canine first aid qualification. Apart from taking care of my family dogs, I have been looking after dogs within my own home for 3 years now. One being a small terrier named Peggy. We have her overnight (2 days) each week. Peggy is very sweet, and sometimes can be reactive towards other dogs. We have been working with her on training for this. Additionally, we look after a friends puppy, who is learning to go to the toilet on the balcony, and settle down for nap times. I am currently available Monday-Friday for dog walking and drop ins. Please contact me for Saturday and Sunday availability as this changes week on week. For day care, please contact me as this will also change regularly! I am living in a flat block, with a small balcony. I will let the dog out on the Balcony regularly and whenever they wish (this will always be supervised). I can also take the dogs out for frequent toilet breaks, by taking them on lead downstairs and down the street. My flat is right next to the beach, meaning play time on the beach or the areas surrounding is always available to us. My boyfriend, David, works from home, so is also around to keep an eye! He is in my photos, he has fluffy brown hair. On house visits, I am able to keep you conpletely updated on goings on. I will always be respectful of your home, and leave it as I found it. I can let your pet out, come take them for walks, feed them, play with them, and more. I have a clean UK Drivers License and a car, so am able to drive to you or transport your furry friend if needed. Whether on walks, a house visit, or boarding, I am always able to give frequent 'pupdates' and send photos of them having a lovely time.

About: We've looked after all sorts of dogs and cats over the years and are happy to work around your pet's routine e.g feeding times, medication, whatever they're used to. Every animal's different and we like to just get to know them and go from there. We're near Hove Park and the seafront, so there's plenty of good walking on the doorstep. We'll send you photo updates while they're staying with us so you know they're doing well. I work for the NHS and have flexible opportunities to work from home when needed. I live with my partner, Alec. He works from home full-time. Alec and I live in a pet friendly apartment close to Hove Park where we love to go out for walks. We luckily have access to a pet wash in our building. We live in a clean, smoke free and spacious apartment for furry friends to explore.

About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats and other animals since I was very young, I’ve always been very good at connecting with them, which is why I went to Plumpton college to get my animal care diploma & my dog grooming qualification. Your animals will be very safe when they are with me, whether it be over night or just during the day. My passion is making sure all animals in my care are 100% happy and healthy. I have availability throughout the week, weekends & holidays. Please message if you have questions or would like to request care and I’ll get back to you asap. Animal welfare is extremely important to me so I do everything I can to make sure the animals in my care are happy, even if it means altering my own routine for them.

I offer dog walking, daycare, and home sitting, providing loving, safe, and personalised care for every dog I look after, and am also a huge cat lover and happy to cat sit too. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I always follow your routine closely, provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection, and send photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and safe. I live alone in a spacious two bedroom flat on the corner of Hove seafront so I’m lucky to live close to fantastic walking routes, including Hove Lawns, beach walks, and nearby parks, so your dog will get stimulating, varied walks every day. About: I grew up on a small farm in Northern Ontario, and I have been caring for and genuinely enjoying spending time with animals for as long as I can remember! I have shared my life with dogs since I was a baby. I had a horse throughout my teen years, and aside from my best girl, Shanti (5.5-year-old Labrador), my most recent animal care was for our geriatric donkey, Eeyore, whilst staying with my family in Canada. In my downtime, I learn a lot about dog behaviour through books and experts online. I know that our pets are our best friends and family members; I will treat yours with utmost respect and kindness - guaranteed! I am currently providing pet care throughout the summer, whilst starting a new business (children's yoga in the park). I am on a sabbatical as an education specialist, and since I love spending time with animals, there is no better way than to spend my summer here in Brighton & Hove. I am open to day services, evenings and weekends. My availability is subject to a pre-booked camping trip and family commitments. I will work with you for bespoke animal care. My Labrador/best friend, Shanti, is excellent around other dogs. Together, owners and I will discuss and decide if our dogs are compatible to socialise together on walks. I live with my retired partner, who is also an animal-lover but the care and responsibility for your pet will be in my trusted hands. While there is no garden here, regular walks to the beach and to Hove Park fill our days. Shanti and I also love longer walks in the countryside/in the woods which we reach by car. Your dog might love to join us! In your home, I will ensure your pet is comfortable and life remains "status quo". If I can welcome your dog to our place, we will discuss all factors to ensure this is what is best for them. On our end, we will ensure they feel right at home. Crating is an option if you think best. Rest assured, I have been caring for animals all my life and when your furry family member is with me, they will be happy, well-cared for and comfortable.

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats since I was a kid, (my family dogs are now 14!) and have always loved animals. I've walked dogs over my last few years in Brighton previously and am just happy to help out where I can. I've recently moved back to Brighton, and work part-time at the moment. I'm almost always about, enjoy going for long walks along the seafront and into town and I go for runs most mornings. I'm happy having a chilled day in but also love to go for a wander when I'm free! I don't have any other pets at my home, and am more than happy to come to your property to look after your dogs/cats.

About: My dog is a six year old lovely Cockapoo who loves to chew things and dig holes. I am patient with dogs who may be naughty and I love teaching pets new tricks! I am based in Brighton now after studying in London for the last 5 years and miss my dog who is at home in Wales. I would love to take your dog on long walks in the park! I don’t have anywhere to take care of pets in my own home as I am renting and not allowed pets, but when I was at my parents house we had a big garden where my dog could run around and I took her for 2, hour long walks a day! I am happy to come and look after your dog in your own home while you are away :)

About: I am used to taking care of friends pets(dogs, cats, rabbits) when they are away over the years! I love doing so. Especially because I live in rented accommodation, so can no longer have one of my own. I currently work part time. Tuesdays to Fridays 9-4:30. I have plenty of time to spend with your lovely fur babies and am so looking forward to. I like going to the beach/in nature for swims and walks! I am happy working with your personal boundaries when it comes to looking after your pet. I know everyone cares for their pets slightly differently and would love to experience that.

About: Hello! My name is Em (Rover keeps the name on my ID unfortunately). I have been looking after family and friends dogs since I was a small child. I love spending time with dogs, ensuring they get the exercise and stimulation needed, and the care they deserve. I mostly grew up around staffies (to this day my favourite breed), so I am used to hyperactive and excitable pups. I also grew up predominantly with cats, so I am well versed in looking after them too. I am a disabled, able-bodied adult (I have autism, so it is difficult to find 'traditional' work, but it also means that I spend a lot more time with animals), so I am available every day needed. Your dog will always be supervised, inside and outside your home. I am able to crate your dog if needed. I will also ask for a list of rules/needs for your pet to ensure the best care and experience for both you and your pet.

About: Hi, my name is Azar 🙂 I have spent my whole life around dogs and grew up with lots of different breeds. I used to work in a veterinary practice, so I am very comfortable with everyday care, giving medication, and keeping an eye on how a dog is feeling. I am now a student and work entirely from home, so I can be flexible and present for the dogs I look after. I have my own dog, Sesame, a very sweet little Cavapoo who loves having company. Sesame is happiest with gentle, calm dogs who know how to interact with other dogs, so I am a good fit for friendly dogs who enjoy a relaxed home environment. Because of her, and because I like to give each dog proper attention, I only look after one dog at a time. This way Sesame and your dog both get the space, care, and affection they need. If your dog stays with me, they will be treated as part of the family, with walks, play, cuddles, and regular updates so you can relax while you are away. I am available weekdays, weekends and for longer periods of time. As long as I have a bit of notice, I will always be flexible. I have a small secure garden and I am always cautious about what the dogs in my care have access to. Dogs are allowed in every room and I always treat every furry friend as one of the family. When we meet, I will need to make sure your dog gets on well with mine to make sure it is safe for the two of them.

Johanna’s first two one hour visits with Sookie went really well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take a bit of time to warm up to new people. But with Johanna, she seemed to get very comfortable very quickly. Approaching her, choosing to lie near her, and having a snooze. And then on the second visit she put her head on her legs! Johanna has taken things at Sookie’s pace and my dog has quickly felt safe and happy with her.

After a successful couple of meet & greets, Beth’s first one hour visit seemed to go well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take time to warm up to new people. Although she wasn’t brave enough to approach Beth that day, she was comfortable and relaxed enough to have a snooze while she was there. Which shows that she isn’t overly worried about Beth, who didn’t try to push things too fast and went at Sookie’s pace, allowing her to feel that relaxed she could close her eyes. Very happy with Beth and her knowledge of handling nervous dogs.

Tip: Doggy day care is another option for pet supervision while you're at work. Visit our doggy day care page for more information.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
