About: Hi there! I'm Jess and I love dogs! I am confident, compassionate and friendly. My family dog lived 15 years and was the love of my life. I want to surround myself with other dogs as much as possible and am the designated dog sitter for my friend's fluffs. I usually work in the film industry and have often looked after the talents fluffy companions. My experience includes looking after young, elderly, blind and deaf dogs. I am freelance so am based at home all day and will be on hand for your dog's needs! They will have my full attention and I will be able to take them for plenty of walks, play time or rest (whatever they prefer!). My flat is very dog friendly, safety here is a priority. I don't have a private garden but the flat is on a small patch of communal grass. There are many wonderful walking spots near by/ parks and of course - we are very close to the sea. The flat is in a nice, peaceful neighbourhood - overall creating a quiet and safe space for your pet.

About: My dog is a six year old lovely Cockapoo who loves to chew things and dig holes. I am patient with dogs who may be naughty and I love teaching pets new tricks! I am based in Brighton now after studying in London for the last 5 years and miss my dog who is at home in Wales. I would love to take your dog on long walks in the park! I don’t have anywhere to take care of pets in my own home as I am renting and not allowed pets, but when I was at my parents house we had a big garden where my dog could run around and I took her for 2, hour long walks a day! I am happy to come and look after your dog in your own home while you are away :)

After a successful couple of meet & greets, Beth’s first one hour visit seemed to go well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take time to warm up to new people. Although she wasn’t brave enough to approach Beth that day, she was comfortable and relaxed enough to have a snooze while she was there. Which shows that she isn’t overly worried about Beth, who didn’t try to push things too fast and went at Sookie’s pace, allowing her to feel that relaxed she could close her eyes. Very happy with Beth and her knowledge of handling nervous dogs.

Johanna’s first two one hour visits with Sookie went really well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take a bit of time to warm up to new people. But with Johanna, she seemed to get very comfortable very quickly. Approaching her, choosing to lie near her, and having a snooze. And then on the second visit she put her head on her legs! Johanna has taken things at Sookie’s pace and my dog has quickly felt safe and happy with her.

About: Growing up in the welsh countryside I have always been around animals. We had cats and jack russell terriers when I was young, and later on I helped out on a farm with horses and working collies. This love for animals carried on as I got older and I started walking neighbours dogs (bull mastiffs) for free and cat sitting for friends when they went away. Post Uni I started helping out locally with dog walking through borrow my doggy. I ended up house sitting for one of my customer’s houses a few times to look after their dog while they were on holiday (the lovely Vizsla in my photos). More recently I volunteered for German Shepherd Rescue Elite in Nottingham as shepherds and Malis are my personal favourite, so now have a fair range of experience with larger breeds and some reactivity issues. I really loved both the rescue and my regular borrow my doggy connections and would have carried on however, I have moved to Brighton and the commute would’ve been a bit tough! I have two cats now and I am calm and responsible and will always treat your animals as if they are my own and will send regular updates so you know how things are going! Really looking forward to making some new animal friends, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, always happy to chat to make sure you are confident with who you are entrusting to look after your family member! I’m in the office generally Tuesdays and Wednesdays and work from home the rest of the week so am available for walking/drop ins after work (4:30pm onwards) on most weekdays. I can do some morning visits on days I’m not in the office and any time on most weekends - just ask and I’ll let you know if I can fit it in! We have no garden and two cats at home so having other pets in our flat would not be an option however, I am more than happy to look after your pets in your own home during the working day if I am able to borrow your wifi to work from home at the same time!

About: Reliable and caring pet sitter offering dog walking, home visits, and dog and cat boarding in my home. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from small companion breeds to large, energetic dogs. I tailor my care to each pet's individual needs, whether that means active walks, playtime, companionship, maintaining familiar routines, or simply providing a calm and reassuring presence while you're away. I also have extensive experience caring for rabbits and other small animals. I understand how difficult it can be to find a sitter who is genuinely knowledgeable about rabbit care and able to recognise the subtle signs that something may be wrong. Rabbits are experts at hiding illness and distress, so close observation is essential. I am confident monitoring their behaviour, appetite, activity levels, and overall wellbeing, helping to identify potential issues early and giving owners peace of mind while they are away. Having entrusted my own pets to carers in the past, I understand the level of trust owners place in someone looking after their animals and take that responsibility seriously. Because pet care is currently my main focus, I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals I look after. I enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual and adapting to what makes them feel comfortable, whether that's playtime, quiet companionship, maintaining familiar routines, or simply having someone nearby throughout the day. I have experience caring for animals with ongoing health conditions and special care requirements. This includes administering oral medications as well as subcutaneous injections, particularly in rabbits and other small animals. I am confident following veterinary instructions carefully, monitoring for changes in behaviour or wellbeing, and ensuring treatments are given safely and consistently. Services include: • Dog and cat boarding in my home (day care and overnight stays) • Dog walking for dogs of all sizes and energy levels • Feeding, cleaning, and daily care routines • Medication administration and subcutaneous injections • Rabbit care and small animal care • Companionship, enrichment, and playtime I provide regular updates with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I also have access to a vehicle should emergency transport ever be needed. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Please note that the prices listed on my profile are for dogs. If you have small pets (such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, birds, etc.), I would be happy to discuss their specific needs and agree on a suitable price together. Pet care is currently my main focus, which means I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals I look after. I am available for boarding, daycare, and home visits throughout the week and at weekends, depending on availability. I aim to keep each pet's routine as consistent as possible, ensuring they receive the care, companionship, and attention they deserve. I aim to provide a safe, calm, and low stress environment where pets can settle at their own pace. Before each booking, I discuss their routine, personality, and any medical or behavioural needs with their owner to ensure I can provide consistent care. I keep my home clean and secure, paying close attention to doors and windows, and I carefully monitor each pet's wellbeing throughout their stay. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I grew up on a farm, my family have always had dogs and I have been involved in the caring of our animals. I truly enjoy their company. I’ve dog sat regularly for three parson russell’s as well as many other dogs with different needs. I have helped with raising litters of puppies as well as caring for our elderly dogs. We have experience with nervous dogs or dogs that prefer to avoid other dogs. I have also spent some time working on a sheep farm so have some experience with working dogs. We send regular photos and videos during your booking to give you peace of mind. I work from home, as does my partner Ryan, so there should always be someone home with your dog. We can do longer walks before or after work and can accommodate shorter walks and play during the working day. Calendar is generally up to date but do ask to check :) We have a small but secure garden in Hove and live near the beach and Hove Park for walks. No other pets or children in the house. Non-smoking. Your pets safety and security will always be put first.

About: I have been surrounded by dogs my entire, nearly 30 years of life, and have experience with various breeds, ages and temperaments. I hope to one day have my own but until then I would love to hang out with & look after yours! Whether that be keeping them company while you're away, taking them on their daily walks or dropping in to make sure they're fed and watered. I recently left my full time job so I am available pretty much all day every day! I am actively job-seeking so I can’t currently commit to repeat / weekly / long term care! Apologies! I understand things can be relatively last minute! So whatever time / day works best for you generally works for me too! I live with my boyfriend who loves to get equally fully involved with any dog in our care! My Home: No garden but a peaceful and spacious flat with a balcony that is a 3 minute walk from St. Ann’s Well gardens, 4 minutes from Hove Lawns and the seafront and 15 minutes from Dyke Road Park/Hove Green. Currently no car but 30 seconds from Western Road bus stops or 12 minute walk from the station if travel is ever required for a bigger walk in Preston or Stanmer Park!

About: I have over 12 years’ experience caring for my own four family dogs, so looking after pets really is second nature to me. I know every dog is different and I’m always happy to go at their pace, whether that’s a good long walk, a walk round the block, or just plenty of fuss and company while you’re away. I work from home, so your dog will never be left alone. They will always have company, attention and cuddles throughout the day. I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, relaxed and loved. I’m available for walks during lunchtime, evenings, and weekends, so whether your dog needs a midday stroll or a weekend adventure, I’ve got it covered. Your pet’s safety and happiness are always my top priorities. During walks, I keep dogs on the lead and pay close attention to their comfort and surroundings. For drop-ins and house sitting, I follow your instructions closely, whether it’s feeding, medications, or sticking to routines, while also keeping your home secure and respected. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to create a calm, loving environment where your pets feel comfortable, cared for, and safe, whether I’m visiting for a short check-in, staying overnight, or spending the day together.

About: Hey, I’m Jenna!🐾 An animal lover with a passion for caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I’ve been a dedicated sitter on Rover for a while and I’ve had the pleasure of looking after a wide variety of pups, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs, each with their own quirks and needs. I have lots of experience with dogs who deal with anxiety and separation anxiety, so I know how to create a calm, comforting environment where they can feel secure. My goal is to ensure your dog feels happy, safe, and cared for while you're away, just like they would at home. - Can administer medication where needed. - Comfortable walking up to 2 dogs at one time. - Would love a meet-up beforehand to meet you & your dog, to ensure a plan that works for everyone. I currently work from home on weekdays. My job is relatively flexible to work around and I can try to work things to fit your schedule where possible. When in your pets home, I will aim to keep a general routine as close to normal for the dog. With fresh water available at all times and regular feeding. Whether caring for an older dog that would prefer shorter walks and more time to chill or the opposite! Lots of playtime, longer walks and enrichment. We’ll discuss regular feeding times and anything else you feel important to note to ensure your pets happiness.

About: I grew up with cats and dogs at home, where my days were regularly spent walking the dogs, cuddling up on the sofa or sharing my bed with a furry friend or two. I regularly house sit for my sister who has three Cocker Spaniels, taking them for beach or woodland walks and giving them lots of snuggles and love. I'm always conscious of not leaving pets alone at home for too long and understand that some are unable to be left alone due to their separation anxiety. I have also house sat for a couple via Trusted Housesitters, looking after their Jug (Jack Russell x Pug) for four days in their flat. On top of that, I work for a dog charity and occassionally foster pups that we are trying to rehome. I live in a pet and child-free flat in Seven Dials, Brighton. We don't have a garden however we have an enclosed shared patio for my apartment building and I live walking distance to various green spaces including St Ann's Well Gardens, Hove Park and Preston Park. I'm also a 20 minute walk to the beach. I work in marketing and my office in Seven Dials 5 minutes from my flat. I do a mix of office and work from home and have some flexibility, so if there is ever a week day in my calendar where I’m unavailable you can still reach out as I may occasionally able to move my days around. Working from home means I have plenty of time to give a pet lots of love, cuddles, as well as take them out regularly for toilet breaks and walks. I live in a spacious three bedroom flat which pets will be allowed to roam freely. I have no issues with pets sleeping in a bed within my room, on my bed or on the furniture. If needed, I can keep dogs enclosed in the kitchen whenever I am out of the house. I am happy to follow individual owner's rules when in their home to ensure their pet's routine is maintained. I don't have any pets and won't accept more than one pet owner at a time so you can feel reassured that your pet(s) would have my undivided attention.

About: I used to walk a small, elderly, terrier-cross a few times a week for a nearby neighbour for about 2 years. I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs when they’ve been away on short holidays. The above experience is all I have, so I’d be better suited to looking after dogs that have relatively simple care needs (ie. don’t have behavioural issues / need a lot of specialist care). I’m taking some time off from my previous career in the insurance industry so I have plenty of free time at the moment - I have not set schedule ant the moment so can therefore be quite flexible. I live close to the Brighton and Hove boundary and 5 minutes away from the seaside / Hove Lawns, so plenty of nearby places to stretch our legs.

About: Hello Firstly many thanks for looking at my profile and please feel free to email or call me with any questions you may have. I’m currently 28 and have a little boy called Sherlock who is 6. Currently, I am a stay at home mum with my son who is home educated. We are out and about as often as we can and have a lot of great walks to take your doggies on. I enjoy doing many different activities with dogs and have a two small Chihuahuas and a Labrador. I love getting out of the house for walks and runs down the beach and in the park. I live in central Brighton and have a car for travel. I’ve helped my mum with Rover clients within the last four years and have enjoyed meeting people and their fur babies, then I joined myself and have been on the site since 2021. My son has grown up with dogs and is very confident and caring, he understands how to handle and respect dogs. Currently, I'm a freelancer but mainly I am home with my son who is home educated. We head out on walks as often as we can. Weekends and week days I am available. I am very happy to follow your lead and respect your dogs care plan. As a dog owner myself I know the importance of looking after someone’s fur baby.

Caspar was a joy! He was super professional and organised, with great communication before and during the days he was helping out. He came over the day before the visits started to meet the dogs and understand their preferences and logistics. He sent us loads of pictures during his visits. Lots of updates as to how the dogs are doing and also questions where he did not know something and wanted to make sure he was planning the right thing. He was also patient with one of our dogs that is shy/nervous. He also went above expectations by taking one of our dogs to the beach even when he knew this would exceed the 1 hour he was expected to give us - many thanks to him, our dogs were well loved and cared for! Wish him all the best!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
