About: I have been surrounded by dogs my entire, nearly 30 years of life, and have experience with various breeds, ages and temperaments. I hope to one day have my own but until then I would love to hang out with & look after yours! Whether that be keeping them company while you're away, taking them on their daily walks or dropping in to make sure they're fed and watered. I recently left my full time job so I am available pretty much all day every day! I am actively job-seeking so I can’t currently commit to repeat / weekly / long term care! Apologies! I understand things can be relatively last minute! So whatever time / day works best for you generally works for me too! I live with my boyfriend who loves to get equally fully involved with any dog in our care! My Home: No garden but a peaceful and spacious flat with a balcony that is a 3 minute walk from St. Ann’s Well gardens, 4 minutes from Hove Lawns and the seafront and 15 minutes from Dyke Road Park/Hove Green. Currently no car but 30 seconds from Western Road bus stops or 12 minute walk from the station if travel is ever required for a bigger walk in Preston or Stanmer Park!
About: I've always had pets since I was a kid and animals have a special place in my heart. They're family to me and after having experienced living both with cats and dogs, I know the difference they make in our lives. Hence, I want you to know that I'll definitely try to become the best friend to your furry one! I'm currently switching jobs at the minute, so my schedule is pretty flexible. This is all while UKVI decides to sort out my visa to stay in the UK, unfortunately, I can't do most jobs while I wait on a decision, so, yeah, I'm free all day! I currently have a cat living with me, so I wouldn't be able to sit any pets at my home, but my cat is looked after simply by doing the basics - making sure he's got plenty of food, water, litter box empty and I play with him so he can burn out the energy. When it comes to dogs tho, I'm happy to take them over for short, medium or long walks depending on the mood of the dog and time of day, always making sure they get a treat on the way back. :)
About: I have had a varying range of dogs since a child. I have had a golden retriever, a french bulldog and a west highland terrier which I assisted in training and raised from a puppy. I have also had experience looking after friends dogs of all sizes and adult cats. I work from home monday to friday with plenty of time to be away from work to tend to your animals needs alongside plenty of free afternoons and nights. I am able to take animals out as frequently as needed, I also live near a lovely green which is ideal for any walks or activities.
“Amanda was so kind, gentle and reliable. Even my nervous cat who usually hides actually came out for her! Both my cats have medications and she was fine with giving it to them. We got regular updates with photos, and felt much happier on holiday knowing the cats were happy! Thanks so much Amanda, you are the best. ”

About: Growing up in the welsh countryside I have always been around animals. We had cats and jack russell terriers when I was young, and later on I helped out on a farm with horses and working collies. This love for animals carried on as I got older and I started walking neighbours dogs (bull mastiffs) for free and cat sitting for friends when they went away. Post Uni I started helping out locally with dog walking through borrow my doggy. I ended up house sitting for one of my customer’s houses a few times to look after their dog while they were on holiday (the lovely Vizsla in my photos). More recently I volunteered for German Shepherd Rescue Elite in Nottingham as shepherds and Malis are my personal favourite, so now have a fair range of experience with larger breeds and some reactivity issues. I really loved both the rescue and my regular borrow my doggy connections and would have carried on however, I have moved to Brighton and the commute would’ve been a bit tough! I have two cats now and I am calm and responsible and will always treat your animals as if they are my own and will send regular updates so you know how things are going! Really looking forward to making some new animal friends, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, always happy to chat to make sure you are confident with who you are entrusting to look after your family member! I’m in the office generally Tuesdays and Wednesdays and work from home the rest of the week so am available for walking/drop ins after work (4:30pm onwards) on most weekdays. I can do some morning visits on days I’m not in the office and any time on most weekends - just ask and I’ll let you know if I can fit it in! We have no garden and two cats at home so having other pets in our flat would not be an option however, I am more than happy to look after your pets in your own home during the working day if I am able to borrow your wifi to work from home at the same time!
“Lisa, thank you so much for helping us last minute. Nelly enjoyed her visit and was very happy to see you by the looks of the photos. Highly recommend you to everyone and we will be in contact with some future dates. 5 stars 🤩”

“I would recomend Jeanique and will book her again! She was communicative and my cat seemed to be at ease with her from the start. She had to deal with a couple of mishaps with my cat being sick on the carpet and peeing outside the box (!!!) and was very graceful about it. I am very thankful 🙏”

About: Your Pet’s New Best Friend (With a Lifetime of Experience!) Welcome to my profile! My pet care journey started early—growing up with dogs taught me the fundamentals of canine companionship, from basic training cues to reading their moods and ensuring they get plenty of exercise. Later in life, I opened my heart to cats and have lovingly raised three of them over the years. This gave me firsthand experience with everything from kitten zoomies to senior cat care, and I know exactly how important it is to keep their routines strictly on track. I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. When your pets are with me, they’ll get plenty of attention, safety-first supervision, and all the head scratches they desire! I receive my work roster on a monthly basis, which allows me to plan my pet-sitting availability well in advance! Every month, I completely update my Rover calendar to show exactly which days I am open for overnight stays, walkies, or drop-in visits. Because I grew up with dogs and have raised three cats, I know how critical consistency is for animals. Once a booking is on my schedule, your pet’s feeding, walking, and medication routine becomes my top priority for that day—completely tailored to what they are used to at home. When caring for your pets in your home, their safety and maintaining their normal routine are my top priorities. Growing up with dogs and raising three cats of my own has taught me that animals feel most secure when their schedules don't change. I closely follow all instructions regarding feeding times, outdoor/exercise schedules, and medication if needed. Safety & Trust: I am extremely respectful of your home and privacy. I double-check that all doors and gates are securely locked during visits or walks, and I never leave a dog off-leash in unsecured areas. For cats, I make sure windows and doors are shut tightly so indoor kitties stay safe inside. You will receive regular photo updates and messages after every visit so you know exactly how your pet is doing. The Environment: I focus on keeping your home clean and calm. I make sure litter boxes are scooped daily, food bowls are washed, and any mess is cleaned up immediately so you can return to a tidy house and happy, relaxed pets.
About: Many years living in an animal farm. Good experience with cats, dogs and big animals. Huge lover of animals in general. I want to give them all my love. I can provide a safe environment and give them lots of love. Animals are my life. Brighton and Hove.

“I recently changed jobs and I’m not able to take my dog Chester to the office . Valentina did home visits for Chester and has been great , kept me updated with ETA’s , and sent pictures and videos throughout her visits which I really appreciated, Chester was always relaxed and happy when I returned home ❤️”

Brighton dog owners share their Rover experiences
Kendall is a fabulous dog sitter 🌟 It was our first time leaving our dog with anyone and Kendall made us feel so comfortable, with getting to know us before & sending us updates throughout the visit. We can tell Ozzy had a lovely time with Kendall (and misses her already!) Our dog has a very specific routine that Kendall stuck to to make him comfortable. We would definitely recommend Kendall & will book with her again in the future 🤗

Johanna’s first two one hour visits with Sookie went really well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take a bit of time to warm up to new people. But with Johanna, she seemed to get very comfortable very quickly. Approaching her, choosing to lie near her, and having a snooze. And then on the second visit she put her head on her legs! Johanna has taken things at Sookie’s pace and my dog has quickly felt safe and happy with her.

After a successful couple of meet & greets, Beth’s first one hour visit seemed to go well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take time to warm up to new people. Although she wasn’t brave enough to approach Beth that day, she was comfortable and relaxed enough to have a snooze while she was there. Which shows that she isn’t overly worried about Beth, who didn’t try to push things too fast and went at Sookie’s pace, allowing her to feel that relaxed she could close her eyes. Very happy with Beth and her knowledge of handling nervous dogs.

We have been repeat customers for Eli and we are very happy with her. Our dogs love her. Eli is very reliable and trustworthy. She understands our dogs needs and is flexible around their needs. We highly recommend Eli and will definitely book her again. Thanks Eli!

Thank you Niamh for getting to know Freda, unfortunately she’s still pretty anxious with new people so the sit didn’t work out but when she’s better I would definitely rebook Niamh as she is a very lovely, patient and communicative girl who gave my anxious rescue dog a chance! We so appreciate that x
