“Fabulous sitter for our medium sized rescue dog Scrumpy. He's got a few quirks but Isobel didn't seem fazed by them! She was also super flexible for us with the drop off and collection. Would definitely recommend 😊”

“Garry loved staying with Michaela and Simon’s family. They were absolutely great with him, and I was feeling totally calm leaving him there. I received daily updates on Garry (photos and videos), who was regularly fed, walked and who enjoyed playing with Scout (who is absolutely adorable) and listening to the birds in the family’s garden.”

“We cannot recommend Huda enough! She took incredible care of our kitten while we were away, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Huda kept us updated throughout, sending adorable pictures and updates that really put our minds at ease. Her chill, understanding attitude was such a blessing, especially when our train was delayed, and we ended up showing up late to pick up our kitten. She handled the situation with so much kindness and patience. It’s clear Huda genuinely loves animals, and our kitten warmed up to her immediately. Knowing our little one was in such good hands made our trip so much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a reliable, caring, and all-around amazing pet sitter, Huda is the one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: About Me Recently relocated to Brighton after many years pet sitting in Kingston/Surbiton. Lifelong animal person, I’ve had dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs… even a Jersey cow, goat and chickens at one point, so I’m very comfortable around different animals and temperaments. Alongside my regular cat clients, I now also dog sit — often for the same households who trusted me with their cats first. I only take one dog booking at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, a calm environment, and consistency. I’m happy to: • Sit in your home • Or host at mine (by arrangement) ⸻ My Experience I had two rescue cats (Niles & Frasier) from 6 months old who lived to 16 and 15 slightly eccentric, very loved, and much missed. I’ve also worked with a local rescue collecting abandoned cats and fostering so I’m confident with shy, anxious or more “characterful” pets. I now have a number of regular clients and repeat bookings.
“Bussa had a wonderful time with his new pals Iona and Swan and we felt confident that he was being well looked after. Will definitely book again. Thanks to you both for making our time away stress free.”

About: I have had family dogs from a young age. Whilst my partner was working at Battersea Dogs home we fostered a variety of dogs from overnight to month long stays, all of varying temperament and behaviour. I have also done a number of house / dog sitting stays through trusted housesitters. I work from home full time, managing my own schedule so have plenty of time for dog sitting, collecting, massive walks and most importantly dog scratches on the sofa I have ample space so can crate your dog if needed, with plenty of green space and the beach just a short walk away - plenty of space to keep a dog entertained!
“From initial meeting to picking Poppy up from her stay, Valentina was warm, professional and communicative. Poppy had such a fantastic time with Valentina and family! Wouldn’t hesitate to use again. Thanks Valentina!”

“Lam (Katty) was amazing with our two bulldogs. She kept us updated with lovely pics and they came back happy and settled. Will use her again without hesitation and highly recommend her! ❤️❤️❤️”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs at home and have always loved being around animals. I have a large home, so there is plenty of space for pets to feel comfortable and relaxed. I’m also the person my friends and family trust to look after their dogs and cats whenever they need someone. I genuinely love animals and enjoy giving them lots of attention, cuddles, playtime and care. I’m responsible, caring and always make sure pets feel happy, safe and at home. I’m not currently working full-time, so I have plenty of free time to care for pets. I occasionally work a few afternoons, but most of my time is flexible and I can give pets lots of attention and care. I’m happy to care for pets in my home or in their owner’s home. In my home, they’ll have plenty of space and a safe, comfortable environment. At the owner’s home, I’ll follow their usual routine and instructions so their pet feels comfortable and settled.
“Lois was amazing, really communicative and friendly! She was so pleased to see Tinto and he was so happy and well looked after when we picked him up! Amazing dog sitter and Tinto is excited for his next stay with her.”

“Neo boarded at Emily's for a week and I could see how much he bonded with her when I picked him up - he was torn between greeting me enthusiastically and getting Emily's attention too at the same time which speaks a lot to me. I regularly received pictures of what they were up to and I was able to enjoy my holidays knowing that my baby was being well cared for!”

“Laura is highly recommended. Genuinely enthusiastic, caring and great communication. Regular updates and plenty of photos. Nellie looks like she had a better holiday that we did. Thank you!”

About: I've been a dog owner my entire life and now we can share those pet care skills with you . We have our own adored canine who is a fun, kind 3 year old female. She's great with other cats and dogs and welcomes other canine visitors to our home with a calm enthusiasm. We WFH every day so your pet is never left unattended. 3 walks a day and plenty of beach and park strolls. As with our own dog, no off lead walking. Your pet needs to be ok with children as we have a animal crazy 12 year pld. Looking forward to meeting you and your doggo soon. We work from home so 3 walks a day minimum. Our dog eats morning and evening but we can meet and walking or feeding schedule as required. We have a closed off balcony on the first floor. Dogs happily sit there safely watching the world go by. Dogs are on a lead before they leave the apartment.
“It was a last minute booking with Suzana but as soon as I met her, I knew Connie would be well cared for in a lovely home. Thank you for the regular photo updates and we will definitely be in touch when we visit Brighton again.”

“Thank you both for looking after Enzo! I know he had a great weekend and he was in safe hands. The fact you both collected him and dropped him home was an added bonus. The communication was easy and thank you for all the updates and photos. He’s already asked when he’s next coming to stay x”

Oliver looked after our 8 month old Jack Russell pup, Frank, for a weekend at his place and was the prefect dog sitter. He is really friendly and personable and you can tell he has a genuine love of animals. Frank took to him right away and had a great weekend. I’ll be booking Oliver again.

Sam and Rebecca are a dream team. They were patient and really good with our Chowchow Butter, who if you know them, are not the most regular breed. They were great with communication, were eager to learn what he likes and were such great sitters overall. Definitely recommend!

Enzo loved spending time with Juna and her daughter. He immediately took to the flat and Juna, and he was clearly very sad to leave, as he kept pulling hard to go back to the flat. I felt terrible dragging him away. Juna was very also flexible in taking Enzo in very early in the morning.

Tilly absolutely loved her time staying with Alex. She is normally a bit nervous going somewhere new but she took to Alex straight away and looked so happy and relaxed when I picked her up. Alex was very flexible and communicative and took brilliant care of Tilly. Thank you!

Where to start! Daphne had our young cocker spaniel for just over a week for her first ever time away from home, and it couldn't have gone better. Rosie had an amazing time, Daphne kept us up to date with messages and photos of the various activities she did with Rosie, and the icing on the cake was the little birthday celebration she had for Rosie as she turned one whilst we were away! If you are looking for someone to look after your dog I couldn't recommend Daphne more! It's so clear that Daphne adores the dogs she looks after, and I think Rosie was a little sad to leave! Will definitely be using Daphne again in the future!

Grace did such a wonderful job at looking after my dog Quinn whilst I was away for 11 days. Quinn is a senior dog and I found that Grace was very attentive to Quinn’s needs and took great care of her by adjusting walking times and making sure Quinn took her medication. I would definitely recommend Grace if you’re looking for a dependable sitter who will take great care of your dog :)

Nunzia took wonderful care of our dog Chief while we were away! She kept us completely at ease by sending regular updates and photos, showing just how happy and well-cared-for Chief was throughout his stay. We were so happy with her service and couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. Highly recommended!

Hannah and Ryan took great care of our spaniel Molly whilst we were away for 4 nights. They provided us with regular updates and Molly was happy and settled. We felt like we could relax and know that Molly was in safe hands with trusted, kind, knowledgeable and experienced boarders. Thank you so much! ☺️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
