About: I have been caring for dogs and cats for 20+ years as I have had my own pets, I have volunteered as an animal carer, or I have sat pets of friend and neighbors. I have experience of caring for pets across age groups as well as health conditions. I am good at understanding the needs of animals and able to administer medication, etc. Although I have a full-time job, I have a lot of flexibility as I work from home and I can juggle my time through the day along with pet-sitting. I have dogs of my own but I can keep a guest dog in my home as we have spare room(s)/space. I also have a decent-sized garden. I have a small and a large crate too
“Valentina was fantastic at home boarding our two dogs, great communication and lots of videos and photos showing all the fun they were having. I would highly recommend”

“Samuel was an amazing sitter for my dog, Archie! He clearly knows a lot about dogs and took incredible care of him. Samuel took Archie on walks through parks and woods, washed him, and brushed him — Archie came back happy, clean, and clearly very well cared for. I also loved receiving the picture updates; they were amazing and really reassuring. I would absolutely recommend Samuel and will definitely book with him again.”

“Jenna was fantastic in looking after my dog Jensen. Her communication was brilliant and she clearly took great care. It was obvious he had a really great time staying with her. Would highly recommend and I'll be sure to use Jenna again :-)”

“We are so grateful for the wonderful care our dog received from Beckie. It was clear from the start that she was looked after with genuine love and attention. We especially appreciated the daily updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away! 🐾”

“Molly was an amazing dog sitter and we couldn’t recommend her more! She was super friendly, responsive, and sent lots of updates, photos, and videos throughout the stay. Our pups had so many fun adventures with her including park trips, beach walks, and even Stanmer! It was clear she really bonded with our dogs. We have a clingy/slightly reactive dog and a senior dog with health conditions, and she handled both of them so well. We felt completely at ease knowing they were with her. So happy we found her and will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Petra and Olly are absolutely amazing. I always get nervous about leaving Lyla with new people, but they put me at ease straight away. They’re incredibly caring and kept me fully informed with great updates throughout. Lyla was so happy after her stay, which says everything. They took her out for lots of walks and were genuinely thoughtful and considerate the whole time. I couldn’t recommend them enough and will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much, guys.”

“Grace and her partner were very patient and kind with Merlin, he's a complex dog with a lot of history so it felt good to be able to trust them with him. Their communication was fantastic and it sounds like he enjoyed their walks (and their sofa!) a lot!”
“Emma was just brilliant from start to finish. Booking with her was a very easy choice as she responded really quickly, her home seemed like a safe environment for our wee man and we liked that her work from home schedule meant she was always around to keep Mowgli company. We were able to arrange Mowgli's pick up and drop off quickly and easily and Emma let us know exactly what she needed us to bring to make sure Mowgli would be comfortable and settled with her. Mowgli is getting a bit older and has a bad back so didn't need much exercise - just toilet breaks and plenty of cuddles. Emma was more than happy to accommodate and adapt to his specific needs and look after him like he was her own pup and really make him feel at home. Emma kept us up to date with lots of photos and messages and we could see how much he loved her and her home and how well looked after he was. We would absolutely recommend Emma as a sitter for your pup or kitty and we will definitely book with her again in the future. Thank you so much for looking after Mr. Mowgli so well!”

“We cannot recommend Huda enough! She took incredible care of our kitten while we were away, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Huda kept us updated throughout, sending adorable pictures and updates that really put our minds at ease. Her chill, understanding attitude was such a blessing, especially when our train was delayed, and we ended up showing up late to pick up our kitten. She handled the situation with so much kindness and patience. It’s clear Huda genuinely loves animals, and our kitten warmed up to her immediately. Knowing our little one was in such good hands made our trip so much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a reliable, caring, and all-around amazing pet sitter, Huda is the one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Loki LOVES going to stay with Megan and Cap. Megan takes brilliant care of him and is really happy to keep up puppy training- she even teaches him news tricks. Loki comes back from Megan's house happy and tired, and we can go away relaxed and knowing he's in his home from home!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 13. I've always been around dogs, and I also have a lovely dog called Napo so I will treat your dog with as much care and love as possible. I'm currently working full-time from home, I have time available on the weekend. I can have breaks as much as I want, also have lunch hour. I would prefer to stay at your place so the dog might feel comfortable while you are away. Of course they can stay at my place and I have a garden. Please beard in mind that I have a dog, and he is well-behaved.
“I could have not be more grateful and feeling relaxed and calm thta Odin is in the best hands with Azar. She genuinely loves dogs and my little pooch had the best time - lots of walks and play and all his favourite things! Azar kept us updated with pictures and Odin's adventures which was so lovely. Thank you so much Azar, forever grateful.”

“I highly recommend Wendy. She has looked after my dog, Daisy, over the last few years. Daisy is always happy to see Wendy and her dog, Nora. Wendy is very kind, dependable, and is great with sending me updates on Daisy while I am away.”

“Can’t thank Helen enough for looking after our little Wilma. We got regular updates and Wilma seemed to make herself at home very quickly indeed. Helen took Wilma’s individual needs into account and she seemed to have such a lovely time it was like a holiday for her also - we couldn’t be happier to have found a lovely place for her to stay every now and then when we go away and can’t take her with us. Highly recommended!”

“Georgie was a fantastic sitter for our lovely shih tzu Chips! Georgie had Chips for a week and was just excellent from start to finish. She was very caring and kind, sent regular updates throughout our holiday and we felt Chips was loved and cared for so well. We met up before the week and went on a walk which really made me feel confident she would be a great person to leave our precious pooch with! I would not hesitate to recommend her services and would gladly ask her to look after him again if she is available. Thank you Georgie, from Lucy, Greg and Chips!”

“Garry loved staying with Michaela and Simon’s family. They were absolutely great with him, and I was feeling totally calm leaving him there. I received daily updates on Garry (photos and videos), who was regularly fed, walked and who enjoyed playing with Scout (who is absolutely adorable) and listening to the birds in the family’s garden.”

“We left Fig in great hands with Beckie and Ed. They were super receptive to her needs and adapted her stay to ensure she was always comfortable. Fig had a great time and didn’t want to leave.”

Molly watched our dogs again for a week while we were away. They were so excited to see her, which always makes us feel good about leaving them. She kept us updated throughout the week, and it was nice knowing they were well looked after. We’d definitely recommend her and will be booking with her again!

There is not enough praise for the care and attention Gaston recieved during his stay with E & C. I received lots of photos and general information about what he was up to. E & C were confident in his care and he was calm and contented when I collected him. Highly recommend

Our 8 month old puppy Cockapoo had his first sleepover at IIiyana’s and he seemed to absolutely love it and clearly had a great time! IIiyana kept us updated with photos. IIiyana is very kind and patient and you can see how much she loves dogs. Our puppy loves going to stay or for a walk with IIiyana. We highly recommend IIiyana and will defenitely be booking again.

Sara and Franz are very kind, caring, sweet souls. We left our dog, Fig, in very safe hands. She was extremely comfortable right from the start and didn’t want to leave…she was a very happy dog when we picked her up (which isn’t normally the case). Sara’s place is very neat, tidy and dog friendly with lots of space and a garden. I’d highly recommend them and will be booking them again very soon.

Beckie and Ed have looked after our two chihuahuas a couple of times now, once for a week and a few times for the day. I couldn't recommend them enough, our dogs absolutely love staying with them and feel so comfortable at their house. They don't settle easily but with Beckie and Ed they didn't want to come home! Would highly recommend, thank you so much! ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
