Availability

I work from home most weekdays, which means I can give dogs plenty of company and regular attention throughout the day. I occasionally need to visit sites for work, but these are infrequent and I’ll only accept bookings that fit around my schedule. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting, as I work remotely it means I can adjust my schedule to fit the needs of you and your dog. I always keep my availability up to date so you know exactly when I’m free.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, medication (if needed), training and any house rules. I’m happy to walk your dog on their usual routes and at their regular times to help them feel comfortable, confident and relaxed while you’re away. My goal would be to build friendship and trust between us. Every dog receives my full attention. I don’t walk dogs in large groups, so your dog will enjoy one-to-one care tailored to their individual needs and personality. If I’m boarding, I’ll only take one household’s dog(s) at a time, ensuring they have a calm environment and plenty of attention. I live in a comfortable apartment that’s well suited to short weekend boarding. While I don’t have a private outdoor space, I’m close to parks and walking routes, so dogs in my care will still get plenty of exercise, enrichment and toilet breaks. For that reason, I prefer to keep boarding to shorter stays where I know I can provide the best possible experience.

Information Lena D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about any specific routines, commands, or quirks your dog has, so I can keep things as consistent as possible for them. This includes feeding times and amounts, any allergies or medication, favourite toys or games, how they react to other dogs or people on walks, and anything that might make them anxious or overexcited. The more detail you can give me, the better I can help your dog feel safe, comfortable and at ease while you’re away.

A typical day

A typical visit starts with plenty of fuss and a chance for your dog to settle in and feel comfortable with me. From there, we’ll head out for a good walk; I’m close to a lovely local park, so there’s always space to stretch their legs, sniff around and burn off some energy. Along the way I’ll keep an eye on their pace and mood, adjusting the route if they’d rather take it slower or explore a bit longer. I’ll make sure to adapt to what sense I’m getting from the dog. Back home, it’s downtime together, cuddle, a game, or just relaxing side by side, whatever they’re in the mood for. I’ll send you photo and video updates throughout so you can see exactly how your dog’s day is going. I’d aim to take the dog out 2-4 times a day.

Pet care experience

I’ve been around dogs so much of my life; from having my own, living with them and more recently regularly looked after friends’ dogs while they’re away, from long weekends to full weeks. Kita, who is a husky mix, has been a regular fixture in my life and so I’m comfortable with bigger dogs. It’s something I genuinely look forward to and cherish my time together with them it’s not just a job on the side for me. Every dog is different, so I’m happy to follow your routines, training methods, and any specific instructions to help them settle in comfortably. I’ll like to pay attention to how your dog reacts and adjust accordingly as dogs have their own personality and needs. I’ll send regular photo and video updates throughout, so you can relax knowing they’re safe, happy, and probably a little spoiled with attention. Services I offer: Dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting are my main focus. I work from home, so I have a lot of flexibility to fit walks and visits into your schedule. I can follow your walking routes and set times easily and make sure they are looked after. I’m happy to provide short weekend boarding for dogs who are comfortable in an apartment setting. I don’t have a private garden, but I live close to a park, so dogs staying with me still get plenty of exercise, enrichment, and one-on-one attention but I would rather this only be for short stays for the dogs own comfort. I’m dependable, patient, and treat every dog like my own. My goal is simple: for your dog to be happy, well cared for, and genuinely excited to see me next time. Hopefully we will become friends! Feel free to message me with any questions. I always like to arrange a quick meet-and-greet before booking, so we can go over any important details and get to know each other first; it helps everyone feel more at ease, especially your dog.

Lena was super sweet, an attentive sitter and Tinto seemed like he had a wonderful time. All instructions were followed, and we got a happy dog back! Thank you Lena!

Lena has known our dog (Japanese Akita) since we rescued her 13 years ago. Lena is understanding and compassionate to our large breed rescue dog and often taken her on walks. She has formed a natural bond with the dog and is implicitly trusted by us to care for our dogs welfare and wellbeing whilst giving us the peace of mind in knowing everything is taken care of. I would, and do highly recommend Lena

Our dog, Kita, is our child. My wife and I are obsessed with her, and our vets and groomers have often commented on how attentive we are as pet parents. Other than our parents, we've only ever trusted one person to care for her: Lena. Lena doesn't just watch Kita—she knows exactly which snacks she's allowed to have, brings her low-stimulation toys, and makes sure she gets real play and engagement, not just a walk. She follows all of our routines, from keeping Kita on the right side during walks to taking her out after sunset and making sure she wears her raincoat when needed. She never made us feel like any of our requests were too much. Lena is also more than happy to get on the floor and give belly rubs for longer than I would—and that's saying something. We trust her completely and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like their own.
