About: I’ve had cats as pets for my whole life so very knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to felines! Have experience walking dogs as well for friends and family, I’ve dealt with everything from ex racing greyhounds to miniature daschunds. I currently work full time Monday-Friday, however, I have the option to work from home so can be around in the home environment for your pet if needed. I am available at weekends and evenings for any pet care requirements I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I live in a non-smoking home with no other pets currently, making it a peaceful space for pets who enjoy a quieter environment. There is also a secure fenced garden for safe outdoor time, and I’m located on a quiet cul-de-sac road with minimal traffic. I always follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, exercise, medication, and any special care needs, while providing patient, attentive care and regular photo updates for owners
“Kobe had a great stay with Mel and her husband during the Easter holiday. We met with Mel before the stay to ensure everyone was happy and for Kobe to be familiar with Mel. We had regular updates with photos throughout the stay. Mel was extremely flexible with pick up and drop of times after our flights were changed. Kobe was very comfortable and got lots of walks and cuddles!”

“We couldn’t have been happier with the care our dog received! Lacey looked after Harley as if he were her own—plenty of walks, cuddles, and updates that gave us total peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the start that she truly loves dogs and knows how to make them feel safe and happy. We came home to a very content pup and would absolutely recommend Lacey to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive dog sitter.”

“Christina is clearly an animal lover and our dog Luki has had a wonderful week being cared for so kindly by Christina. About: Hi! We are Tabitha and Marc, dog parents and dog lovers. We have years of looking after dogs of all kinds (from Westies to Wolfhounds) and would love to help you out looking after your little love. We are owners of a gorgeous and very friendly golden retriever who will make your pup very welcome in our home. They are welcome to run around, jump on the sofa and make themselves at home however they prefer. We can cater to your dog’s routines and we will only have 1 dog at a time. Using sitters for our own pup, we know communication is key so we’ll happily send as many photos and updates as you like, and we can arrange to meet up ahead of any major stays to make you at ease with us and our surroundings. Both my partner and I work from home and most weekends between us one of us is at home looking after our lovely and friendly Goldie, Gus. We can accommodate your routine as you need as we live right across the road from a park and can walk at any time. We would never leave your dog unattended and can cater to any feeding or other routines. We have a lovely 2 bed house, with a secure and fenced garden and friendly neighbours! We do not allow dogs upstairs in the house but they will be able to roam freely downstairs and our garden. We are also happy to have a pre-meeting/call/zoom before any long term stays.
“Matt was lovely all the way through dealing with him, even though I originally changed the dates. He sent lots of pictures while I was away, and Mickey loved him. I would highly recommend and will be returning when I next go away”

“Spyroula was wonderful with Alby. He warmed to her straight away, which is always the best sign, and her updates throughout the boarding were consistent and reassuring. What stood out most was how reliable and trustworthy she is – I left feeling completely at ease, and came to pick up a happy, settled dog. Highly recommend.”

“Haru stayed with Isabella for several nights whilst we were away on holiday, he settled well and enjoyed his stay! He was very excited when we dropped him off and came home a very happy tired pup. Really appreciate Nick stepping in to look after Haru on Isabella’s office days. Will not hesitate to have Haru stay with them again!”

“Jaya had a ball with Jessica. I think it was her dream few days, lovely big cushion to sleep in, long garden full of squirrels and a lovely couple for double dose of cuddles and tummy rubs. Only thing is I suspect she might not want to live with me any more.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Epsom
Paris took very good care of our anxious 9 month old puppy. It was a four day stay during a heatwave and she kept him safe and occupied with e.g. fetch in her dog pool. We got daily updates on how/what he was doing and he seemed very happy and content. I would absolutely recommend Paris.

Angela was very personable and it was clear from our meet and greet, that Louis would be comfortable with her and little Millie . Louis was well looked after. We received updates and pictures. He was happy and able to fit in seamlessly. Very happy to leave him again . Thank you Angela .

Sophie was amazing looking after our 7 months on Labrador for 2 nights. Rusti had such an amazing time with Sophie and we Absolutly loved seeing all the photos. We had absolute confidence in Rusti’s happiness and welfare and were able to enjoy our holiday knowing she was having such a great time. Rusti can’t wait to stay again and have some more walks with all the new friends she made!

Harry was absolutely incredible with our 7 month old Labrador who came for a weeks holiday while we were away. Harry kept us updated, ensured Rusti was cared for at all times and worked on some continued training with her which we are so grateful for. We were incredibly confident in Harry’s abilities which allowed us to really relax, switch off and enjoy our holiday knowing Rusti was in such good hands and having so much fun too! We can’t say thank you enough and Rusti cannot wait to come and stay with you again!

Our Border Collie Bess had a lovely time with Katarina and her family and their laid back dog Fred! Communication was excellent and Katarina was kind enough to send regular photo updates while we were away. The big plus is the lovely wooded area immediately behind their back garden so the dogs were able to be walked regularly and safely, away from main roads and traffic etc. Everything worked out very nicely indeed, thank you Katarina.

We have always had family look after our Welsh terrier, Chelsea. Circumstances change and we had the choice of kennels or newly found Rover. So pleased we went for the latter. Our search didn't take long and we met Susie, who dared to take on our Welshie (they are not an easy breed to master!). Cannot thank her enough. She kept us up to date whilst we were away with photos and summaries of her day. Chelsea was very well taken care of and, whilst we missed her, we knew she was in totally safe hands and looked after. Couldn't ask for anything more. Now Susie knows, almost, all of Chelsea's quirks, we really hope she will have her again when we go on our next adventure without her! Thank you Susie and to anyone who wants their dog to be looked after and loved, look no further.

Natasha was great from the start; quick to respond to messages and easy to organise everything with. She was friendly and great with Nismo, putting me at easy leaving my dog with someone I didn't know. She kept in contact throughout the time she had Nismo, sending pictures and updates! Would definitely recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
