I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life, starting with my own dog throughout childhood and my teenage years. As an adult, I regularly look after dogs for family and friends, including larger breeds and high-energy dogs. I’m comfortable accommodating different temperaments, routines, and energy levels—from playful, energetic dogs who need plenty of movement and stimulation to calmer dogs who prefer gentle walks and companionship. I always take time to understand each dog’s personality and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and loved while in my care. I care deeply and act from a place of love, patience, and empathy. I’m very attentive to body language and behaviour, which helps me respond calmly and appropriately in different situations. To deepen my understanding, I’ve attended private dog training sessions and continue learning independently through training videos and research. This has helped me build confidence in handling dogs, reinforcing positive behaviour, and creating a calm, happy environment.
