I and my husband, Chris, are at home all week so your precious furry friend will never be left alone at any time so will always have human company as well as that of our calm Springer Spaniel, Jazz. We do not plan days or evenings out when dog minding. Walks are twice a day (more if needed) as we live by Epsom Downs and have woods at the end of our road. Our home is air conditioned and in hot weather walks will be early morning and early evening with toilet breaks and plays in our secure, back garden in between (as required). In hot weather, walks will be early morning/early evening in the woods at the bottom of our street. Our home is air conditioned so ideal for cooling off during the day.

Information Shirley W. would like to know about your pet

Ideally your dog will be well socialised with good recall (off lead) and sociable with other dogs. Confidence around children is essential as occasionally my grandchildren visit. My grandchildren have been brought up with dogs, cats and various small animals and they are well behaved and respectful to all pets.

A typical day

Two walks daily on Epsom Downs (unless owner restricts). Play time in the garden - games of tug, fetch and catch if your dog likes to play. Attention and cuddles - on the sofa if your dog is permitted on sofas. Your dog will be treated as our own for the day/boarding and will receive lots of TLC.

Loving family home for your precious doggy

Pet care experience

I have had pets all my life since childhood - dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs. I have a Springer Spaniel called Jazz who is calm and well trained who loves other dogs, people and children - she is well behaved and very affectionate. Your precious dog will be welcomed into an air conditioned home (for hot weather comfort) with lots of attention, play and long walks in the woods and the downs nearby. My house is roomy with a secure, fenced garden with lots of space for sniffing around and play time. I am fully insured and have a Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Animal First Aid, an up to date enhanced DBS check and years of experience with animals of all ages/sizes and temperaments. Your special girl or boy will receive lots of TLC and will never be left alone in the house. My husband, Chris, also a massive animal lover, works from home and if I need to go out for a few hours, he will always be here to provide consistent care and attention.

We’re so happy to have found Shirley, Chris and Jazz. It really does feel like a home away from home for our dog. He eagerly ran in for his stay, comes back happy and content. Great communication and he’s clearly well looked after. Thanks again ☺️

Shirley and Chris did another great job of looking after our dog for a week. We always feel she is in safe hands and is well looked after. We’ve already rebooked for July!

I’d highly recommend Shirley. It was the second time that my dog stayed with Shirley and he was very excited to return. He had been very well cared for while I was away. I’d definitely use her again. 🐾

As always Luna had a fantastic stay with Shirley. Luna always runs in happily and we have every confidence that she is really well looked after. I love the photos that we receive and communication is really reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to use Shirley again xx
