“My boy was in an absolute best hands. He was well looked after and exercised regularly and He was not left alone whilst with Cai which was very important to me as my dog has separation anxiety. “Pip is lovely! She bonded really well with our dog, who came back from a two week stay very happy and healthy. She kept up to date with our dog’s daily medication and numerous walks out and about. Thanks Pip!”

“The best cat sitter ever! Elisha was fantastic from start to finish. She looked after my cat Cilla for a week, over Christmas. I had daily updates and quick responses to any questions I had. I cannot recommend Elisha enough. I will definitely be asking Elisha to look after Cilla again. 5 stars isn’t enough.”

“Mia is always happy when I pick her up from joes. I can tell she has had a good time. Communication with Joe is good & I get updates & photos of Mia’s day. Good to have someone you trust looking after your dog, then you go away happy 😃”

“I am beyond happy with the care Renata provided for our dog Rolo. From the moment we connected the questions she raised before even accepting the sitting request, reassured me that she had Rolo’s interest at heart. Rolo is terminal with cancer and has NEVER been left with a stranger before. So, I was initially concerned and reluctant, but Renata was up for the challenge. I felt relaxed and confident following our initial meet up, and knew she was the right sitter for Rolo. I also knew I could completely trust her in our home She was communicative from the offset, reliable, and genuinely invested in making sure my Rolo felt comforted, loved and cared for. She sent thoughtful updates and photos throughout the stay, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. When we came Rolo was relaxed, happy, and clearly very well looked after … spoilt even!!! A true sign of an exceptional sitter. It’s obvious that Renata treats every dog as if they were her own, and that level of care is rare to find. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and attentive dog sitter. She’s fantastic. And I came home to a very clean house, which was a bonus!”

“As much as I want this gem of a lady to be my secret I have to recommend on the highest level. As an owner who lives for his pet I was so relaxed to know he was being cared for and loved. The daily updates, pictures and videos of him having his best time was so comforting. Please do not hesitate in having this lovely lady look after your loved ones. 100 stars if I could.”

“Juliet and the family love Reggie like their own. We are updated daily with events of the day. I have no concerns when Reggie is boarding with Juliet as I know he is so well looked after. 5* boarder family”
“Holly had a super time staying with Davina and her family for a few days. Davina took such good care of Holly and I could tell how happy Holly had been during her stay. I was kept up to date on how Holly was getting on and felt so comfortable and confident that Holly was in a safe and loving environment. She’s already booked in for another stay! 🥰”

About: I grew up with two German shepherds from the age of 12, Misty and Rebel. I was involved in walking, feeding and training both of them from puppies. Both have unfortunately passed away recently. Misty was 14 and needed some extra care with feeding and struggled with walking as her back legs were going, so I have experience with older dogs, and giving them the extra care they need. Rebel had cancer so have experience with special feeding and extra care and love they need. Now having no dogs at home, I would love the chance to take care of other dogs. I’m used to and love big dogs, but also have family members and friends with smaller dogs that I love too.💗 I’m more than happy to adapt to you and your dogs needs, just let me know. I aim to give all the love and care needed 💗 I’ve recently become unemployed and will be job searching from home. So will be at home 5 days a week and on some weekends to give them the attention they need. I have a well fenced and big garden so plenty of room for your dog to run around. I can also crate the dog if needed and provided.

“Where do I even begin?…..Firstly a huge thank you Rebecca for taking such good care of Barney. He has spent his first few days back with us sulking clearly missing you and Huxley. You treated him like he was your own and had lots of adventures with him. Knowing that he was with you, safe and having fun allowed us to completely relax. I would recommend highly recommended you and would love for you to take care of Barney again. Thank you again so much.”

“Our girl cockerpoo had a wonderful time with her first sitter Gina. She did everything to make use feel at ease as this was new to us. Sent us photos and kept us informed - we were a little nervous because of the heat but Gina is an experienced dog owner and knows far more than us so we knew our girl was on very good hands. We will definitely be using Gina and look forward to building a long last relationship.”

“Nicola responded quickly to my last minute plea for a day sitting on the same day, and kept me updated of the activities during the day as well as drop off time. I would gladly recommend her as a responsible and happy poppy sitter!”

Martina and family were absolutely charming. I was sent daily photos and updates. My dog seemed to love them all, sleeping on their slaps - which is pretty unusual as she’s sometimes a little weary of new people. When I went to pick her up, she seemed very calm and happy. Thank you guys. Lots of love to you all.
We cannot recommend Kim highly enough. This was Harley's first ever overnight stay away from us, so naturally we were quite nervous, especially as he is a very particular little dog with his own routines and quirks. From the moment we met them, they made us feel completely at ease. They took the time to understand Harley's routine, his fussy eating habits and his love of cuddles, and treated him as if he was one of their own. Throughout his stay they kept us updated with lovely messages and photos, which really reassured us that he was happy and settled. When we collected Harley he was calm, content and clearly very well looked after. It was obvious he had received so much love, attention and care. Knowing he was in such safe hands meant the world to us. We would not hesitate to leave Harley with Kim again and would recommend them to anyone looking for caring, attentive and genuinely lovely dog sitters. Thank you both so much for taking such wonderful care of our little boy.

I couldn't be happier with the care my cat received. Barbara is reliable, attentive, and clearly love cats! I received regular updates and photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Kenkai was happy, relaxed, and well cared for the whole time she was staying at her place. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter

My boy was in an absolute best hands. He was well looked after and exercised regularly and He was not left alone whilst with Cai which was very important to me as my dog has separation anxiety. Cai sent me plenty of pictures to put me to ease and is a great communicator. Thank you, would definitely use his services again.

Renata is a very kind person, with a lot of knowledge, understanding and experience of dogs. This is the first time I left Bella with her. We had a pre stay meeting during which Bella met Renata and sniffed her way around Renatas home. When Bella was left for her stay, she went with Renata without a backwards glance!! As Bella has separation anxiety, this was amazing! I was updated with photos daily, and Bella looked happy and well looked after. Thank you so much Renata. I would not hesitate to recommend you.

From the very start Bella was settled and happy to be spending her holiday with Nargis and Doodles. We received regular updates and questions about diet and any allergies when needed. It was clear that Bella was being looked after well and that Nargis loves looking after her charges. Communication was excellent and on pick up everything was neatly packed and ready for collection. I would highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my Otto boy received from Jacky! From the moment we met, it was clear how kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate Jacky is about animals. Otto settled in quickly and was treated like part of the family, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and messages, it made such a difference knowing my baby was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. It’s obvious Jacky goes above and beyond, paying attention to every little detail, from routines to Otto’s individual needs. I would absolutely recommend Jacky to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter. I’ll definitely be booking again!

Leaving my dog is always hard, but Brandon made it so much easier. He truly treated my dog like his own. I loved the photo updates, and it was clear they formed a great bond. It’s such a relief to find someone so kind and attentive. Lucy loved the garden and she could sunbathing. We will definitely be booking again!"

We couldn’t be happier with the care Maryna and her partner Charles gave our dog Verona! From the very first day, Maryna sent frequent updates and photos, which gave us such peace of mind while travelling. She took Verona on long walks just as we’d asked, and her communication throughout was excellent — always responsive and friendly. She also offered to drop Verona off at our home for my mum, which was incredibly thoughtful of them! Verona was in great hands, and we have absolutely no hesitation in booking with Maryna again. Thank you Maryna!

I’m so happy with the care my cat received. He settled in very quickly and clearly felt comfortable and loved. He was well fed, happy and even grew healthier and bigger during his stay. I really appreciated the daily photos and videos , they gave me so much peace of mind. Truly grateful for such kind and attentive care. Highly recommend!!

Rosie and her partner looked after our high-energy Labrador, Leo, for 9 nights and we couldn’t have been happier. We found Rosie at the last minute after a cancellation and we’re so glad we did! Leaving Leo for 9 days was a big decision, but from the very start Rosie made us feel completely at ease. We met for a walk beforehand and she was incredibly reassuring, it was clear she’s highly experienced and genuinely great with and loves dogs. Leo obviously had an amazing time, lots of exercise, cuddles, and plenty of care. Rosie kept us updated with photos and messages throughout, which we really appreciated as we missed Leo a lot! We wouldn’t hesitate to use Rosie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced dog sitter.

I recently left my dog ft or an overnight stay with Saadet. She invited me to meet and greet her in her home prior to the stay which was very helpful for both my msltipoo and I. Saadet is an experienced dog owner and trainer and has a lot of insight and understanding about doggy needs and behaviour. She is caring and keen to ensure comfort and consistency in routine. Saadet also sent pictures snd updates of our dog while we were away which was lovely and reassured us our dog had settled despite being quite anxious in the beginning. My experience of Saadet’s service couldn’t be more positive and we wiill not hesitate to contact her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
